“Lure of Fantasy Islam”
For many years non-Muslims in the West have been fed a steady diet of how Islam is a “Religion of Peace” and is similar, and even related to, Judaism and Christianity. At the same time we have seen an increasing number of acts of violence done in the name of Islam.
For those willing to learn and investigate, the irrefutable conclusion is that most, if not all, of the violent acts committed by the jihadists are truly supported by Islamic doctrine, just as the jihadists themselves claim. But this conclusion can create a cognitive dissonance between what we have heard about Islam and what we see actually being done in the name of Islam and supported by Islamic doctrine. This dissonance can create stress. The antidote to this stress for many is to turn to Fantasy Islam, where Islam is what any peaceful-sounding Muslim wants it to be, and the jihadists are the hijacking outliers.
But this is only a temporary resolution. Just because you continue to ignore the reality of Islam, doesn’t mean that the reality of Islam will continue to ignore you. The Christians in the Middle East and Africa are the canaries in the coal mine.

To the Iranian peoples~
Not a single supporter of the Ayatollahs is an Iranian Patriot for as long as they follow Muhammad
Not a single supporter of Khomeini realises that he/she is NOT Islamized but actually ARABIZED
I know that with the limited intellect of Khomeini’s supporters this is difficult to comprehend so let me enlighten ALL.
Iranian civilization is among the oldest and most successful in history PRIOR to its SUBJUGATION by the Arabs~
You pray to a god called Allah. NAME of Pagan Arabian god > Arab
Your mentor Muhammad > Arab
Ali, Hasan, Hussein, Fatima > Arabs
You read Quran in Arabic > Arab
You write in Arabic > Arab
Pray towards Mecca. Pagan Arabian Shrine >Arab
Circum ambulate Kaaba. Pagan Arabian > Arab
Pray 5 times a day > Arab
Dress like Arabs > Arab
Use Emotion and NO Logic > Arab
Please ask yourselves WHY everything you believe in and do is ARAB not PERSIAN?
The TRUE Iranians will OVERTHROW the current Depraved and Corrupt theocracy if not now later because it is only a matter of time before the Volcano of the peoples of Iran explodes and utterly destroys this un godly regime

Good point, al Rassooli. Islam is Arab. Arab is little else but Islam. There are few civilizations as proud as the Persian – and they have been Arabized. Being Shia in a sea of Sunni just won’t do it for them anymore. I have a feeling that they long for Zoroastrianism and a return to their true Persian roots.

With brave and intellectual polemicists like Anni Cyrus, Jay Smith and al Rassooli fully engaged in the counterjihad movement, there is reason for good cheer. My humble thanks go to them. Happy New Year!

Read the Quran within a week after 9/11 and have studied it regularly ever since just to remind me what toilet paper it is !
Michael Copeland says
“It’s a depressing book. It really is. It’s just the rantings of a schizophrenic.
There is also the barrenness of the message. It has no ethical dimension.”
Sebastian Faulks
“When I have time, I must put it into German so that every man may see what a foul and shameful book it is.”

Yes–I read the Qur’an after 9/11, as well. I was struck by just how violent and evil it was. I had not expected anything nearly so appalling–I had thought it might have a few passages that could be interpreted as justifying violence, but it was *far* more vicious than I have ever imagined. And this was before I learned anything about abrogation, which just makes it worse.

The education, this is the best way to understand everything… thanks to Anni Cyrus!! (Sorry for my english)

Your English is fine, Veronique.
Chris Malan says
“The education, this is the best way to understand everything” Education has been seen and tried as a solution to many of society’s ills for decades. Just like correction and reform in prisons, it has a very poor track record. Most of humanity is hostile towards education, knowledge and intelligence. An old friend (by now old in more ways than one) told me in the seventies that ‘they’ can smell intelligence and ‘they’ don’t like the smell.

I guess it’s the ‘battle’ of those who love education and freedom vs. those who do not…
It’s going to be a long struggle…

Indeed, very compelling lesson bestowed for us to learn from.

Anni Cyrus is a relatively young Iranian born exile who stands in a position to contribute to the deliberations of an interim revolutionary council should the current mass protests triumph and succeed in neutralising the power of the Theocratic Elite.
Chris Malan says
There is no way to stop Islam. There are too many of them. One can’t kill them all. One can’t convert all of them to Christianity. One can only alleviate the problem through a variety of ways. As Christianity has so much more factual evidence in support of it than Islam has (close to nothing) I’m surprised more effort is not spent on evangelism among Muslims. Maybe it’s only I who am susceptible to facts. Most humans seem oblivious to facts and believe what they want to believe, despite the facts. So, maybe my idea is not so good, after all.

In how many Islamic majority countries is the qu’ran available in the vernacular? I know it was a big deal when the bible was finally translated into English.

“King James’s reign coincided with an astonishingly spiritual ferment, as Protestants debated furiously their relationship with the state and whether it was even possible for faithful Christians to accept the decisions of secular power.”

The vernacular qu’ran.

So it is dogma that the qu’ran is essentially untranslatable.

Do catholics still prefer the Latin in their liturgy?
Anon says

Latin was the vernacular at the time and it was a “big deal” for early Christians to be using a “common” language.

“I have always lover the charming story of the brilliant young student who came to the old, learned rabbi and defiantly exclaimed “I must tell you the truth! I have become an apikoros. I no longer believe in God!”
“And how long” asked the elder “have you been studying the talmud?”
“Five years” said the student.
“Only five years” sighed the rabbi. “And you have the nerve to call yourself apikoros!?…”

I find Miley’s comments insightful and informative but, color me sceptical, I don’t buy Muslims are friendly, easy to convert, can convert. Islam has too many Muslim members to convert, most coming from a lifetime of coerssion within Islam. 1.8 billion!
