Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Kerry tells Abbas to “be strong” and “not yield to Trump’s demands”

Jan 25, 2018 7:31 am By Robert Spencer

Moral support for a jihad leader.

“Kerry to Abbas confidante: ‘Stay strong and do not give in to Trump,'” by Ben Caspit, Jerusalem Post, January 24, 2018:

While the White House has confirmed that since the Jerusalem Declaration there has been a complete disconnect between the Palestinian Authority and the Trump administration, it turns out that the previous administration has maintained contact with PA officials.

Maariv reported that former US secretary of state John Kerry met in London with a close associate of PA President Mahmoud Abbas, Hussein Agha, for a long and open conversation about a variety of topics. Agha apparently reported details of the conversation to senior PA officials in Ramallah. A senior PA official confirmed to Maariv that the meeting took place.

Agha is one of Abbas’s closest associates and one of the veteran peacemakers with Israel.

He conducted the “London Track,” secret negotiations held from 2010 to 2013 between the emissaries of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, attorney Yitzhak Molcho and Brig.-Gen. Mike Herzog, under the supervision and presence of Dennis Ross. Agha also authored with Yossi Beilin the Beilin-Abbas agreement in the 1990s. He is considered a staunch supporter of the peace process, very close to Abbas, and maintains an extensive network of contacts, including Israelis.

During the conversation, according to the report, Kerry asked Agha to convey a message to Abbas and ask him to “hold on and be strong.” Tell him, he told Agha, “that he should stay strong in his spirit and play for time, that he will not break and will not yield to President [Donald] Trump’s demands.”

According to Kerry, Trump will not remain in office for a long time. It was reported that Kerry said that within a year there was a good chance that Trump would not be in the White House.

Kerry offered his help to the Palestinians in an effort to advance the peace process and recommended that Abbas present his own peace plan. “Maybe it is time for the Palestinians to define their peace principles and present a positive plan,” Kerry suggested.

He promised to use all his contacts and all his abilities to get support for such a plan.

He asked Abbas, through Agha, not to attack the US or the Trump administration, but to concentrate on personal attacks on Trump himself, whom Kerry says is solely and directly responsible for the situation.

According to the report, when referring to the president, Kerry used highly derogatory terms. Kerry offered to help create an alternative peace initiative and promised to help garner international support from Europeans, Arab states and the international community.

Kerry hinted that many in the American establishment, as well as in American intelligence, are dissatisfied with Trump’s performance and the way he leads their country.

He surprised his interlocutor by saying he was seriously considering running for president in 2020. When asked about his advanced age, he said he was not much older than Trump and would not have an age problem….

What right does Kerry have to talk to big-league arabs about what’s gong to happen in our country? Is he some kind of hold-over ambassador? No he isn’t and doesn’t have the authority to speak for the United States.

      • Frank Anderson says

        Jan 26, 2018 at 12:26 pm

Mr. Miller, I have friends who fought, suffered and died fighting in Vietnam. I have friends who have fought, suffered and died in Israel. Kerry, while in Navy uniform took it upon himself to speak to the North Vietnamese while the war was ongoing. Instead of nothing being done to prosecute him he was crowned a senator and made SOS. He may think that talking with Mcmoud, deliberately misspelled, he can talk himself into the White House instead of prison for being a 2 time traitor. Islam is at war with the United States whether we admit it or declare it or not.

    (a) “According to Kerry, Trump will not remain in office for a long time. It was reported that Kerry said that within a year there was a good chance that Trump would not be in the White House.”

Is there an echo in here? I’ve been hearing that same refrain since June, 2015.

    (b) Kerry offered his help to the Palestinians in an effort to advance the peace process and recommended that Abbas present his own peace plan. “Maybe it is time for the Palestinians to define their peace principles and present a positive plan,” Kerry suggested.

Ah, Gigolo John, they’ve stated their peace plan many times. Here it is, “From the river to the sea.”

Exactly. There is only one solution sought by the real “Palestinian” powers, Hamas and Fatah.

Abbas already has a good plan – there will be peace in THEIR Holy Land when every last Jew and Christian has been wiped off the face of the earth – no secret there. He’s following a 1400-year old directive and whatever ingenious solutions he dreams up will have to facilitate such an eventuality : just schemes to Outfox the Israelis .

As for Kerry – isn’t there anything in the legal arsenal to bring such arrogant traitors to justice ?

Who is John Kerry who put him in charge of offering another peace plan with a foreign power? Who is he to say that he will garner international support from other European leaders to undermined the current president? If he wants to write an opinion piece in the NYT or do a world wide talking tour about how bad President Trump is he is free to do that .He is not have the authority to write, broker , meet with foreign leaders to set Americas foreign policy .It is high treason to have unelected ,not appointed private American citizens going overseas to talk with terrorist about how they wish to work together to undermine our current foreign policy. John Kerry at this point and time knows that all he is ,is a private citizen. The man he is meeting with has called for the assassination of a sitting President.

  10. Frank Anderson says

    Jan 25, 2018 at 9:01 am

To be more specific, Kerry while still in Navy uniform, gave aid, comfort and support to the enemy in time of war. Instead of being sentenced for treason the people who wish to destroy this country and Constitution sent him to the Senate and made him the NUMBER 3 in the line for the presidency. And now, almost 50 years later he shows why Israel had no support, and in fact complete hostility, during the past administration. Another example of the wisdom in the statement, “Those who cannot remember. . .” To say that we are not at war with islam is to deny the unchanged and still in effect 1400 year old declaration of war made by islam, and rarely recognized today.

I do not know whether the Constitutional definition of treason requires that war be declared by us or our opponent. I would argue if challenged that the “substance over form” rule, followed with general consistency by the US Supreme Court and therefore all lower courts, makes an “authorization to use military force” also a sufficient declaration of war to support a prosecution of a traitor. But 300,000,000 more or less dead and rising daily ought to be seen that there is a war ongoing, and Kerry supports our loss.
