The antisemitic sentiment already prevalent among French Jews will intensify in the wake of Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel last month.
Note how the decision of President Trump is the focus of the first paragraph, rather than “radical Islamists stuck a knife in my chest”; “every day we are attacked”; “I’m scared of going outside and showing my face. I’m forced to wear a cap every day to hide my kippah”; and according to the French Prime Minister Édouard Philippe, “in our country, antisemitism is alive…it hides always behind new masks, attempts to justify itself through diverse reasons. This ideology of hate is here, it’s present and it’s making some French Jews to make ‘aliyah.'”
Jihadists and Islamic supremacists represent a systemic and organized face of anti-Semitism today as they seek to delegitimize and ultimately obliterate the Jewish state of Israel. With this in mind, a declaration of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel is just the latest pretext for their hatred and violence.
Donald Trump is not to blame for their actions. Instead, appeasers are to be blamed. Jihadists have stated and continue to state openly and precisely what their objectives and goals are. Appeasers choose not to believe them, despite overwhelming evidence everywhere. Jihadists have grown accustomed to appeasement, which has emboldened them, and they are now enraged because Trump decided to stand up to them rather than continuing the universal appeasement. Now they are making life unbearable for Jews in France and increasingly in Germany, while leaders tolerate the abuse.
“‘There will soon be no Jews in France’ as antisemitism escalates”, RT News, January 7, 2018:
The antisemitic sentiment already prevalent among French Jews will intensify in the wake of Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel last month, locals believe.
“Every day we have people who are hurt, every day we have people who are insulted,” Ricard Abitbol, President of The Confederation of Jews in France and Friends of Israel told RT. “We can be hurt by words, but we don’t mind, but when we are hurt by a knife, a gun, you can’t say I don’t mind.”
Attacks against the Jewish community surged dramatically in 2015, when authorities officially registered 808 antisemitic attacks. The actual number of cases, however, can be much higher, as not all the victims filed official complaints. And while attacks against Jews decreased in 2016, according to assessments by Jewish Community Protection Service in France (SPCJ), 335 assaults were registered by French Jews that year. The drop is partly due to enhanced security measures introduced after the November 2015 Paris attacks which killed 130 people and led to the introduction of a two-year state of emergency.
“One out of four racist acts committed in France in 2016 targeted a Jewish person, while Jews represent less than 1 percent of the population,” the SPCJ said in their annual ‘Report on Antisemitism in France’ released in October.
Antisemitic acts committed in France are a “home-grown phenomena,” the SPCJ said, saying, that the “number of Jews who leave the country, or think about leaving France for another country, keeps on increasing.”
The wave of antisemitic attacks began on January 9, 2015, after 29 people were taken hostage in a kosher supermarket. By the end of the terrorist’s siege, four people were executed. The violence sparked a mass exodus of Jews from France. In 2015, almost 8,000 left and another 5,000 fled in 2016. Overall, in the last decade, more than 40,000 have packed their bags. That’s almost ten percent of the around 465,000 Jews that continue to reside in France.
Apart from the obvious security concerns, French Jews feel they are “misunderstood” within the French society. Others fear the loss of their identity.
“In a few decades, there will be no Jews in France. And there is also a problem in Europe,” Abitbol told RT. “There are almost no Jews now, they are leaving. So, it’s terrible what I will say, but Europe is continuing in peace what Hitler had done by war.”
Members of the Jewish community described their experiences and persistent fears to an RT crew who visited the Parisian suburb of Seine-Saint-Denis, the former heart of the Jewish community in France. “I was viciously attacked with an individual by a machete because I’m Jewish,” one of the victims of a recent assault said.
“Radical Islamists stuck a knife in my chest. I’m very scared for my family and myself,” said another.”Every day we are attacked. They enjoy it,” a female member of the Jewish community lamented.
“I’m scared of going outside and showing my face. I’m forced to wear a cap every day to hide my kippah [brimless cap],” another Jewish person told RT.
Last month, France’s PM acknowledged the scale of the problem. “In our country, antisemitism is alive. It is not new, it is ancient. It is not superficial, it is well-rooted and it is alive,” Edouard Philippe noted in December.
“It hides always behind new masks, attempts to justify itself through diverse reasons. This ideology of hate is here, it’s present and it’s making some French Jews to make ‘aliyah,’ [immigration of Jews to Israel]” Philippe said. “It should be a spiritual choice but it pains all citizens of the republic when it’s a form of self-exile, made out of insecurity and fear.”
Philippe’s statement came a few days after Donald Trump made the explosive decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel…..

France loses twice. First by importing anti-Semitic welfare parasites en masse, then by allowing same to attack and drive away productive, law-abiding citizens. It doesn’t get any more stupid than that.

Alas, France has always been VERY anti-semitic to begin with. Just remember the Dreyfus affair etc.
And with “importing” lots of muslims over the decades from Algeria etc. this most certainly has become worse and worse.
Then again, French politics were always big in settling Algerians in the Alsace to make sure the Alsatian culture was being replaced faster. (Though most certainly not by French people in the process.)

If the locals really believe that, they should remain in Paris and not migrate to Jerusalem. It is also possible, that the statement represents the opinion, portrayed as fact, of a leftist faux journalist.
StellaSaidSo says
The attacks on Jews are real, Bill. I hope that people will decide to stay, but in the absence of any serious commitment from the govt to protect them from the Islamic hordes, I can’t say I blame anyone for leaving.
Bill says
I agree. My point was to lampoon the absurd notion that the French Jews are blaming the USA’s recognition of Jerusalem as a cause of their suffering. Of that I am skeptical. But if you are a lefty journo, publishing that is good copy even if untrue.
IQ al Rassooli says
The French Jewish leaders are WRONG because within ten years there will be a handful of Jews in France replaced entirely by the ‘peaceful’ Muslims more preferred by the French elites.
The following is a translation of an article which was published in Spain
AFTER the Madrid bombings by a Spanish journalist
Sebastian Vivar Rodriguez: November 21, 2004:
“I was walking along Raval (a suburb of Barcelona) when all of a sudden, I understood that Europe died in Auschwitz.
We assassinated 6 million Jews in order to end up bringing in 20 million Muslims!
We burnt in Auschwitz the culture, intelligence and power to create.
We burnt the people of the world, the one who is proclaimed the chosen people of God.
We must admit that Europe, by relaxing its borders and giving in under the pretext of tolerance to the values of a fallacious cultural relativism, opened its doors to 20 million Muslims, often illiterates and fanatics that we could meet, at best, in places such as Raval, the poorest of the nations and of the ghettos, and who are preparing the worst, such as the 9/11 and the Madrid bombing and who are lodged in apartment blocs provided by the social welfare.
We have also exchanged culture with fanaticism, the capacity to create with the will to destroy, the wisdom with the superstition. We have exchanged the transcendental instinct of the Jews, who even under the worst possible conditions have always looked for a better peaceful world, for the suicide bomber. We have exchanged the pride of life for the fanatic obsession of death.
Our death and that of our children.
What a grave mistake that we made!!!
***************
Having studied these subjects over a period of three decades, I would like to point out the following simple facts that invariably escape the attention of people who do not have the time or make the effort to reflect upon these issues:
1 The Jews have lived in Europe for nearly 2000 years (long before a single European state existed) especially after the conquest of their country Judea by the Romans.
2 The Jews were NEVER a threat to Europe nor to Christianity in any way shape or form:
a) Not numerically
b) Not militarily
c) Not economically
d) Not culturally
e) Not theologically
f) Not racially
g) Not demographically
h) Not intellectually
i) They assimilated without losing their identity
j) They survived in spite of their persecution and slaughter
k) They contributed enormously in the sciences, economics, medicine and other fields out of proportion to their numbers
l) They fought in the defence of their countries of residence whether French, German, English or Russian
m) They obeyed all the rules of the lands they lived in and were utterly loyal to them
3 On the other hand:
a) The Muhammadan Muslims do NOT integrate or assimilate, because they are prohibited from doing so by Muhammad’s Quran
b) They demand their religious rights in our democracies while they deny every which one to us (none Muslims) in their countries
c) They declare publicly, and in their mosques every Friday, their intention to subvert our systems of freedoms and human rights and subjugate them instead to Islamic Sharia
d) They use our own democracies and liberties to bring about the very changes that will destroy us
e) They are a threat demographically and theologically to Christian Europe and the USA
f) Their loyalty is first and foremost NOT to the countries they reside in but to the UMMA (nation) of Muhammadan Islam
g) Their threat to our freedoms, our religions, our liberties and our democracies is both Internal as well as External
If some of these observations may sound racist or inflammatory to the ultrasensitive ears of the Politically Correct dim wits, they are NOT, since they are based entirely on facts and reality as we read about them and see them daily in our news.
Our worst enemies are from within us represented by many of:
Our spineless politicians, our criminally ignorant media, our uncomprehending and misguided clergy and last but not least our utterly contemptible academicians, all of whom are thus aiding, abetting and colluding with the very Muslims who seek our destruction and the subjugation of our children and our future generations
I sincerely hope that many of you will reflect upon what I am stating and hopefully act instead of waiting for others to do so.
Again I challenge any Muslim (or anyone else) to prove anything I reveal as either wrong, false or misleading.

Agree with IQ. Jews are among the most desirable of citizens for all countries, while Muslims are clearly much less desirable and contribute much less to a country. This is because Islam considers innovation a bad thing. That aversion to innovation in general causes a country to stagnate if not become dysfunctional as many Muslim countries are.

Read the book “Eurabia”, and the book “The World Turned Upside Down: The Global Battle over God, Truth, and Power” and the book “Why the Jews”

I quite agree with what is written but I think it is a fake. It may be a pseudonym but I do not know a Spanish journalist named Sebastian Vivar Rodriguez and knowing the Spanish press, I doubt that anyone will publish such a provocative article. It would be labeled as Islamophobe, racist, xenophobic, Zionist … I repeat, I agree that Muslims do not contribute anything positive, they are a scourge, a fanatical, ignorant and bellicose plague, a plague proud of their ignorance and bellicosity. … but this article is not worth me as an example … because I think it is a fake.To demonstrate that Islam only brings fanaticism, dogmatism, ignorance, hatred, war and death, it is not necessary to use false articles. It is something that can be seen going out into the street and seeing the Muslims who have come to our cities. The behavior of Muslims is not normal, they are not normal people.
Jack Diamond says
The author obviously used a pseudonym, for obvious reasons of personal safety from the ROP and from the persecution of dhimmified authorities who will go after those who speak words considered harmful to Muslims. But protect their Jewish citizens from actual harm? Not so much.
It is unfortunate that the source of the quote becomes the point of contention (‘fake quote” that appeared in a “right-wing” publication) rather than its substance, which is unarguable. It allows the conversation to be shifted by discrediting the messenger before you get to the message. But it’s not an original idea. We can find similar from Bat Ye’or on the creation
of Eurabia and the abrogation or erasure of the Judeo-Christian heritage of the West. Or even this from James C. Bennett, from 2003:
“In considering the Holocaust, most attention has been given to its direct victims, as is appropriate. However, we must also consider that it was a form of self-administered lobotomy for Continental European culture.
It would not be surprising if the twin anti-modernist themes of anti-Semitism and anti-Americanism, now rapidly coalescing into a single nasty mess visible in many of the pro-Saddam demonstrations of the past year, become once again the predominant political-cultural theme in Western Continental Europe, overwhelming the decent and positive forces there that had previously prevailed.
And we should not be surprised if such people hate us.”
Not just importing a culture of hate (Islam) but a Europe reviving and reveling in its own worst impulses.

This is the thinking of a coward who believes in nothing but sneaking around slave-like to avoid attracting the attention of bullies.
It may be that some Jewish people expressed this sentiment, but the way it’s cast by the author is likely very different to how it was originally said:
I say “The crazy muslims will use any excuse to attack us because they hate us Jews no matter what”,
Lefitist Hack hears “We blame Trump for angering the supporters of Palestinian Liberation from Zionist imperialist occupation.”
Phil Copson says
“….The antisemitic sentiment already prevalent among French Jews….”
Before people get too exercised over that sentence, it seems probable that it is simply an example of sloppy journalism ?
Why on earth would French Jews – (or Jews of any nationality) – be “antisemitic” ? I expect that what the author was trying to convey was that French Jews are noticing an increase in anti-semitism directed at them by non-Jews; ie – “anti-semitism is increasingly prevalent among the non-Jewish French population” – or to be more accurate – “among the non-Jewish population of France”, since we can be pretty sure those harbouring the aforementioned anti-semitism don’t fit most peoples’ idea of “French” and are unlikely to finish in the top five in any Edith Piaf/Charles Aznavour lookalike contest…

For some time now, I have come to the conclusion that Europe really doesn’t give a damn about Jews.
I have grown up with all the yearly WWII remembrances, all the solemn words spoken about these terrible crimes of the past, and yet I now have come to believe that none of it ever truly was about the Jews at all..
– It was just about trying to deliver OURSELVES, our European countries from this burden of terrible guilt of what we, collectively, – if not actively – perpetrated or passively let happen.
– I think there is even a subconcious resentment against the Jews for the fact that they were our victims – a psychological tendency to hate those who confront us with our darkest side.
It is only in this way that I can explain what Europe is allowing to happen today with its Jewish population.
– If ANY of all the European 72 – years of declarations of “never again” would have EVER been sincere, then what is happening today WOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN ALLOWED TO HAPPEN, by NO European country.

What the vicious Ibrahim itace muhammed is applauding here is Muslims assaulting, robbing, and murdering Jewish people.
He considers a France so riddled with Muslim violence to be “free from treachery”.
And what has this “treachery” consisted of? Why, of Jewish people walking down the street, attending Synagogue, or going to school. In other words, of their just peacefully existing.
And, of course, the brutalizing of Jewish people is just the canary in the coal mine–Muslims turn their violence on Christian and Atheist French people, as well. “First the Saturday people, then the Sunday people”, as Muslims say.
His implication that Muslims will not try to murder Jews in the United States is also false, of course.

Of course, blaming this on President Trump’s *pro-Jewish* recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel is absurd–Muslim violence against Jews in France has been rising along with the Muslim population there for years.
But otherwise, this is grimly correct. I’m afraid the same is true for Germany, Sweden, Britain, and the rest of Europe.

I have little sympathy for French Jews or the rest of the Jews living in Europe. They brought this upon themselves. The majority non Jewish populations whose homelands are now changed forever have to deal with the curse of a 21st invasion of the West by tens of millions of Muslims and so will the Jews of Europe.
