Raj Chopra was inadvertently giving the world a glimpse into the future of Britain. The Qur’an teaches that Infidel women can be lawfully taken for sexual use (cf. its allowance for a man to take “captives of the right hand,” 4:3, 4:24, 23:1-6, 33:50, 70:30). The Qur’an says: “O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.” (33:59) The implication there is that if women do not cover themselves adequately with their outer garments, they may be abused, and that such abuse would be justified.
Those justifications mean that what Mohammed Akhtar did is going to become more and more commonplace in Britain. The victims are going to start forgetting about these assaults in two or three days, because if they don’t, they will think of nothing else. There will just be so many of them to keep track of.
“Outrage after solicitor suggests woman indecently assaulted in swimming baths would’ve ‘forgotten all about it in 2 or 3 days,'” Lancashire Telegraph, January 17, 2018:
A DEFENCE solicitor caused a courtroom storm after suggesting a woman who was indecently assaulted in a swimming baths would have “forgotten all about it in two or three days.”…
Mr Chopra’s comment came as he was defending Mohammed Akhtar, 50, who had touched the woman on the buttock and thigh as she climbed down the ladder into the pool at Mercer Hall, Great Harwood.
He said the father of five was deeply ashamed and embarrassed by his appearance in court but said an application for him to be banned from any swimming baths where females were present would be “draconian.”
“He has been assessed by the probation service as being at low risk of further offending,” said Mr Chopra.
“It was a brief incident and these things are forgotten about in two or three days.”
After he had finished mitigating Enza Geldard, prosecuting, said; “It is a shame the victim isn’t in court to respond to the defence suggestion she would forget about it in two or three days.”
Passing sentence the chairman of the magistrates said the defendant’s behaviour was unacceptable.
“Mr Chopra’s comment about people forgetting about these offences in two or three days was shocking,” she said.
To Mr Chopra she said: “You made a comment which was offensive which the prosecution has already picked up on.”
Mr Chopra apologised for the comment.
Akhtar, 50, of Hartmann Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to sexual assault on a female.
He was made subject to a community order for 12 months with 25 rehabilitation activity days and a nine month alcohol treatment condition and ordered to pay £150 compensation and £85 costs.
He was excluded from all swimming baths in Lancashire for 12 months and placed on the sex offender register for two years.

Don’t get me wrong, Terry, I’d have had him tarred and feathered and placed in the stocks in the middle of the town square for a week, with a pork salami in his mouth, and posted the video on YouTube. But on the scale of severity of sexual assault, this creep’s offence is at the lower end. The severest penalties should be reserved for the horrific crimes perpetrated against women by so many of his co-religionists.

THAT is *exactly* why cowards choose the place to attack. “Attack the defenseless in a place most undefended.” Bomb a pizza parlor, slaughter children in their bedroom, fire unguided mortar bombs and rockets into cities. Kill the leaders who direct these attacks and they will stop. (Israel vs. Hamas).
gravenimage says
Yes, Frank–Muslims taget the most vulnerable.
I only have one small disagreement with your post–I don’t think these attacks will stop if Muslim leaders are targeted. Many Muslims work alone, on the tenets of Islam. After all, this rapist moletster was not working with a Jihad gang–except the gang of the Ummah.
Frank Anderson says
GI, for a number of reasons, including sincere courtesy and respect, I would never say you are wrong. I observe that Israel’s success with the suicide bombings came from targeted responses being made to every bomb in the form of finding as close to the leader who directed it, and killing him. As they were *suicide*, and not *homicide* bombers, the perpetrator was already dead (but his family would receive LARGE benefits, funded in part by the United States!). When the word got around that leaders had something they valued at risk, and that they would lose it if the bombing continued, they took the action to stop the bombings, and go to other tactics until Israel does what it must again. Lone wolves frequently require both inspiration and resources. I think other examples, at least similar in principle and result, can be found in history. Having talked and listened at length both to Israelis and visitors to Israel who were quite near suicide bombings I think this could be a plan that obtains the desired result: PEACE.
gravenimage says
Hi, Frank.
You can always say I am wrong if you believe that I am wrong. I won’t be offended and I will carefully consider what you have to say.
And I absolutely agree that every Jihad attack should be investigated–the family, associates, and especially the Mosque.
And yes–the practice in the “Palestinian territories” of paying the families of Jihad terror attackers is grotesque–and Western nations should not give them another penny in aid.
It looks like President Trump is waking up to this:
“More winning: Trump administration withholds additional $45 million from jihad terror-linked UNRWA”
https://www.jihadwatch.org/2018/01/more-winning-trump-administration-withholds-additional-45-million-from-jihad-terror-linked-unrwa
I hope other Western leaders follow, as well.
It is true that many Jihad attacks do indeed require backing, and that the “lone wolves” turn out to be not all that lone.
But some are–it does not take a lot of resources or backing for some Muslim to go on a stabbing spree at the nearest subway station.
I think targeting Jihad terror leaders would greatly help, and I certainly support it.
I think it would lessen Jihad–but not entirely end it.
Always good to correspond with you, in any case. I don’t think our disagreement here is a serious one.
Frank Anderson says
GI, wishing to continue a pleasant conversation as long as you find it pleasant, the worst I would ever say is, “I disagree because. . .” Your comments and analysis reflect enormous education, experience and wisdom that should first be respected, and then, certainly treasured. Of course polarisation is increasing. A small bridgehead of Muslims gradually increases as whites move out of the streets. A lot of Muslims do not want to integrate, because they are happy with their own culture, and despise western culture and values. They are following their holy book, and you cannot argue with that. Followers are not allowed to question the Koran. To do so is to run the risk of being killed.
That bloke says ” why do we have to justify when someone shouts out Allahu Akbar?” Is he serious? It is usually followed by an act of terror. Obviously there is no justification for that. It shows whose side he is on, doesn’t it?
Blackburn is obviously reaching the tipping point, as white flight accelerates. Muslims don’t drink, don’t smoke, don’t take drugs (well that’s what it dictates in the Koran. It would be better if they didn’t kill and maim and rape (which is dictated in the Koran) personally I think the infidels have the better ideas. We do the opposite.
LeftisruiningCanada says
David, they do all of things (drink, smoke, drugs etc), they just don’t want others to think that they do.

Frank Anderson says
Ms. Smith, flogging and my favorite for this kind of crime, castration (used by muslims for slavery and other activities), are considered “cruel and unusual punishment” in the US, and certainly are marginal to utterly “offensive” to EU human rights rules. UK has a long history of what is now considered inhumane and barbaric penalties, ex. William Wallace of Scotland, vividly illustrated in Mel Gibson’s Braveheart. It is probably better that we are limited to long prison terms, large fines, total forfeitures, crippling restitution, deportation and in the US but not the EU the death penalty. Some combination of those penalties ought to be enough to induce sufficient “terror in the terrorist” to stop them. I would like to find out!

Frank Anderson says
Stranger. . ., I have no intention of being rude, discourteous or disrespectful to you. I think you mean the “perpetrator” when you wrote “perpetual”. You are, in my opinion, totally correct. The rate for repeat crimes by child molesters is 100%. While this man molested an adult, he has received no meaningful punishment or treatment to change his future behavior. He is one person who can harm others. The lawyer can enable dozens or hundreds more to do the same thing or worse, as long as he has a license.
Strangerinastrangeland says
Thank you, Frank. I wrote Perp and the autocorrect changed it. I didn’t notice. There may be Sirian/Arab swimmers but I bet you the popularity of recreational swimming has grown exponentially since the males discovered that our women wear bathing suits. This guy is 50. There is no known cure for him.
Frank Anderson says
Stranger. . ., most of the people who post here seem to at least try to be courteous even when they disagree. The subject of this site is extremely important to the future of freedom, liberty and resistance to evil. I try to follow their example of courtesy as best as I can. I frequently write about the use of “imagination” when a particular and specific description is not appropriate. This is one of those times where imagination is both appropriate and required. Having dealt with bullies all my life, my experience has been uniformly that they hate failing in their effort to bully. “Terrorize the terrorist”. Make him so afraid of the response to his evil that he would not think of repeating it. When the victim worries more about “limited resources” of any kind, or retaliation, or is just plain cowardly, the bully will never stop. This guy may be 50. He has something he values. When he knows that is at risk if he does it again, he won’t. If he does repeat in any form, use your imagination as to what should be done, and get it done.
Dennis Farina (sadly now deceased), an actor who reminds me of my deceased adopted father, said in the opening and pilot episode to a hostage taker in the series Crime Story, “If you hurt any of these people I am going to find what you value the most and kill it. . ” The maniac killer became at least somewhat careful with his hostages until Farina and other cops “finished” the crooks. This guy, like all terrorists and bullies, is a coward who attacks only the weak and only where they are unprotected. His bullying can be stopped by making him utterly afraid of the results.
LeftisruiningCanada says
A sane and gentlemanly post there Mr Anderson.
Frank Anderson says
Left. . ., I treasure the guidance of Rabbi Hillel that he gave to an early rabbinical student: “Do not do unto others that which you would not WANT done unto you.. . ” The usual Golden Rule statement in Christianity uses the word “HAVE”, which I take to be “REQUIRE” in place of “WANT”. I have spent now over 50 years working to learn and apply “both sides of the Book”. Very truly I would WANT a lot more than I would dare REQUIRE. Stranger’s post made no sense with the word as written, whether by language difficulties, typo or auto-correct sabotage. Result, miscommunication, not cause, is important..
I do not recall seeing any posts under that name before, and did not wish to be a “smart-ass” or discourteous, because of what I very strongly wish to practice in courtesy and hospitality, and WISH for others to do for me. We have vital work to do here, starting with helping each other to learn how to communicate the lies and outrage of satanic evil that pervades every aspect of islam. The better we treat each other, I think, the better we will also express ourselves to the uninformed and undecided. I believe the decided are pretty well stuck with their views, both with and against us. But the more uninformed, which I cheerfully admit to being in the past, and the undecided we can attract to our cause, the better chance we can save our civilization from conquest. Bless Trump for “Make America Great Again.” I believe the goal for most JW participants is just a little wider, “Make the World Great Again.” What do you think?.
LeftisruiningCanada says
A great world would be great, of course. Starting “small” with America isn’t such a bad idea 🙂
In relation to Matthew 7:12, the meaning does appear to support “want” or “desire” rather than require. http://biblehub.com/greek/thele_te_2309.htm, but you probably already know that. It seems unlikely to steer someone wrongly in either case!
Frank Anderson says
Left. . ., I think the difference between “have” and “wish” is subtle at first glance, but to me highly significant, as I pray and study both sides of the Book for guidance. I have attended many sermons with Jewish congregations on the subject. Hillel is a treasured teacher for most of 2,000 years on many subjects who seemed to always reach for a little bit higher and better, instead of the minimum. Compare that to islam where the race is always to the bottom.

Well said Frank, I am thinking of reporting this chap to the SRA, to make such a comment means he has no understanding of law or how to conduct himself in a courtroom let alone defend somebody. He clearly is influenced by his religious beliefs, when an English courtroom is pretty much secularist. Although, lately I don’t know so much.
Frank Anderson says
In the US, a lawyer is required to report misconduct, even his own. There is no 5th Amendment privilege against self incrimination: Bar proceedings are regulatory, not criminal. Failing to report misconduct is a separate offense in addition to the other act. Misconduct includes activity that has “the appearance of impropriety”.
“Pooh-poohing”, (demeaning) molestation and assault (which is defined as placing one in fear of harmful or OFFENSIVE contact), at least has the appearance of impropriety to me. “A lawyer’s duty of zealous advocacy of his client’s interest is limited by an equally solemn duty to uphold the law and the standards of professional conduct.” Nix v. Whiteside, 475 U.S. 157 (1986), a quote from the United States Supreme Court; look it up and read it, please. These rules and law in the US may have informative or “persuasive” value in the UK. Read all the rules regarding making a report to the UK equivalent of the governing bar and consult an attorney loyal to you in full confidential setting, not a bar employed attorney, before you expose yourself to retaliation. Understand all you can of your rights and risks before exposing yourself.
gravenimage says
Great to hear for a lawyer on the appalling solicitor in this story, Frank. I quite agree.
Frank Anderson says
Additional: Knowing as much as possible about what passes for the UK bar is vital before going to them. I reported federal crime to 2 federal agents, the theft of $200 million in present value from a federally financed, federally mortgaged, and under “title theory” state law, federally owned before the mortgage is paid, corporate entity. It turned out the 2 agents were in on the theft. One retired and went to work for the corporation. The other participated in removal of his top supervisor, whom he had kept completely in the dark for nearly 10 years, until a “certain” letter reached the supervisor via the President.
The top departmental supervisor then found 6 other cases that followed the same formula, involving many more BILLIONS. He was removed and replaced with a person who did not have education, experience or credentials necessary to supervise hundreds of professionals in oversight of federal contracts worth well in excess of $100 BILLION. I had no resources whatever to fight; but I did. They would not be allowed to win. Here I am 35 years later, still alive, still able to create and help. Still not rich when measured by money. But I am alive and healthy enough to continue. If I had known the treachery that was part and parcel of the conspiracy, I would have done far more research and prepared far better for the fight. “Learn by other’s [my] mistakes. . .” “Those who cannot remember the lessons. . .”

Not to forget the question if he actually did it – which doesn’t matter AT ALL to feminists and SJW these days.

LeftisruiningCanada says
This is the correct response.
Do that to a young muslim guy, and he will either kill her on the spot, or, more likely, follow her outside with 12 of his closest relatives and make sure that filthy kaffir pays for her insult against one who is actually allahs gift to mankind.
Several years of gang warfare could then follow, since these people are so blunt headedly arrogant, and have nothing better to do with their time.

‘This is the correct response’
Yes, in the old days, we dealt with this level of sexual assault ourselves. Swiftly, and – with any luck – sufficiently painfully for the perp to think twice next time. I don’t think Lothario ever showed his face again at the pool where the ladies’ freestyle relay team trained.
Things have changed, however, and not just because of the Islamic scourge. Young women have been encouraged by 3rd wave feminists to think of themselves as victims if a guy so much as glances at their cleavage. This is disempowering for women. It renders them unconfident, passive and dependent, and more vulnerable to situations of genuine risk.
At the same time as the Left has been telling women that they are helpless victims, it has been aiding and abetting the mass importation of the most serious threat to the safety of women that our society has seen since war-time.
Unless she has learned Krav Maga, or has a black belt in judo, or carries a weapon, a woman on her own is largely helpless against a group of predators. But a little training in the basics of self-defence, and a fast pair of feet, can repulse a lone operator. We need to equip girls and women with skills that will give them at least a fighting chance should they find themselves in a tight corner.
And no woman should be expected to submit quietly to being molested by one POS out of fear of what his mates might do. It’s time for our blokes to step up to the plate and be ready to protect the women and girls in their neighbourhoods (to all the guys who are doing this already, THANKYOU!). Sure, there might be some tensions, and some blood spilled. But what choice do we have?
Phil Copson says
No need to imagine it – it appears to be a regular feature of life in the UK, eg, two recent cases of men having been imprisoned for rape because the police couldn’t be bothered the to check the accusers version of events against text and Facebook records (in one case a policeman confirmed in the original trial that he HAD checked out the heavily-edited FB messages supplied by the accuser against the originals, so was plainly lying) – and Conservative MP Damian Green having been forced to resign from the Government, largely over an unprovable account that he made suggestive remarks to a 30-year old female colleague and put his hand on her knee during a pub-lunch 12-years (!) ago.
The behaviour of the police during the publicity-storm this accusation caused – releasing confidential information about an unrelated matter to the press in order to finish him off – was utterly unprofessional, and plainly motivated by personal malice.
The Damian Green affair and, more particularly, the case of Conservative Chief Whip Andrew Mitchell – forced out after an argument with police officers – have similarities to the attempts of supposedly impartial and non-political officials in the FBI/DOJ to bring down Donald Trump.
Andrew Mitchell agreed that he’d sworn at the police officers – (I don’t blame him – the petty jobsworths took it on themselves to prevent him from riding his bicycle through a Downing Street vehicle gateway…) – but denied the accusation made by PC Toby Rowland that Mitchell had called him a pleb.
Rowland then amazingly sued Mitchell for libel. (Shades here of Voltaire’s “If you wish to know who rules over you, find out whom you are not allowed to criticise.”, and Sharia “blasphemy” laws…). Various police officers conspired to lie about the event – one claiming to have been present and heard the exchange, another pair submitted a false statement pretending to be members of the public who had over-heard the conversation – and the judge himself commented on the “gaps and inconsistencies” in PC Rowland’s version of events. Nonetheless, Judge Mitting madly claimed that Rowland wouldn’t have had the “wit or imagination” to invent the story, and awarded him £80,000 against Andrew Mitchell.
So there you have it – a woman in a swimming-costume being sexually-assaulted, distressed, and humiliated in public only receives £150, whereas a police-officer who provokes an argument with a senior Government figure receives £80,000, and innocent men who’ve provably done nothing wrong whatsoever get years in prison.

Projecting this to other offences, any muslim that has their sensitive and fragile feelings hurt can easily forget it in just a short period of time and therfore there is no such thing as Islamaphobia.
LeftisruiningCanada says
Good point.
But we are forgetting:
A muslims feelings are at least 8 times more valuable than a kuffar woman’s feelings.
Michael Casmer says
Yea, maybe the #MeToo gals will forget their assaults in a few days too. Not.

UK: Solicitor for Muslim attacker says victim would have “forgotten” about sexual assault “in two or three days”
……………………………….
Well, that’s good–since European women are surely going to have a lot to forget in the environment of increasing Muslim rape…sarc/off
More:
He said the father of five was deeply ashamed and embarrassed by his appearance in court but said an application for him to be banned from any swimming baths where females were present would be “draconian.”
……………………………….
Uh…what? Note that he does not say that the Muslim molester is ashamed at having grabbed the woman–just that he is embarrassed by having to appear in court. A *very* different thing.
And yes–it would be “draconian” to deprive Mohammed Akhtar of more Infidel women in bathing suits to molest…sarc/off
LeftisruiningCanada says
Draco would have had him killed.
Sounds like a line out of the Leftards Manual on Effective Whinging.
gravenimage says
Yes–calling banning him from public pools “draconian” is ludicrous.
LeftisruiningCanada says
Draconian to be banned from the pool?
Does this pervert take us for fools?
He put his hand on her ass
His idea of a pass
All the while touching his tool.
Eric jones says
This is absurd. Men who attack a country think they have a right to sexually molest the women of the country under attack. Britain does not know that Islam has declared war on Britain. Its time that Britain wake up.
I know two women who have been raped; no they do not forget it in a number of days!.
So Raj Chopra the solicitor is a psychologist now? His absurd comment is based on ignorance or arrogance. I note that some Indians, Pakistani’s and Arabs are brought in to supervise citizens of Western countries.

“Britain does not know that Islam has declared war on Britain”
That’s because at least 150% of them are engaged in the world’s largest coordinated gas lighting campaign.
It’t like a giant wack-a-mole game, where some pop out with knives, guns and bombs, while the rest pop out saying “islamophobe! islamophobe!” (in high pitched whiny voices).
No wonder things look crazy – it’s supposed to.
Karen says
Muslims don’t seem to take such a laid-back attitude toward actual attacks against them (as opposed to the many fake and imaginary attacks they report). So, it’s quite sickening to hear this defense attorney advocating we just all forget about a disgusting sex attack.

Politicianophobia says
More women and girls need to learn some form of self-defence. When I was young, I put a few things in my car, went back into a building to get some more things, my mistake was not locking my car before going back into the building. I came out, put some things in the trunk, got in my car and a man sitting in the passenger seat grabbed me. I did not see him when I put the things in the trunk-perhaps he was bending over. Where he grabbed me, I do not remember, I punched him in the side of the head as hard as I could and I will not tell you what else I did to him before I pulled him by the arm out the passenger’s door– when he hit the ground his glasses fell off, so I stepped on them and drove away. It was a you touch me, I will touch you moment. I am always aware of anyone around me now. Teach your daughter how to box is a good starter. My 12 year old granddaughter is working on her brown belt. Yessssss If a man does anything to a small child, he needs to be taken care of. What goes around, comes around type thing.
LeftisruiningCanada says
Sounds terrifying. Well done.
Lot’s of assaults etc can be avoided if we keep a little awareness going, as you say. Looking for ways that you would use to attack yourself, if you were some evil thug, can help too.
“How would i enter my house, if i were trying to lie in wait and rape someone in their own home?”
It’s no more paranoid or obsessive than putting your seat belt on. Don’t let anyone tell you different, imho.

Precisely the point I made in my Jan 23, 9:24pm post. We need to equip women to deal pro-actively with threat situations. Well done, Politicianophobia. Smashing the b*astard’s spectacles was a nice touch, and a good tactical move, as it would impede his escape from the scene. While travelling alone on a train years ago, I once used a fold-up umbrella to very good effect, knocking the perp’s glasses clean off his face with a single low to the side of his head. While he tried to retrieve them, I was able to get out of harm’s way. A few seconds can make all the difference.
StellaSaidSo says
That should read ‘blow’ to the side of the head. But I would have aimed lower had a second blow been necessary.
LeftisruiningCanada says
Yes, a low blow would not have been out of the question.
Frank Anderson says
Pol. . ., I agree everyone should learn and be completely prepared to act in self-defense. I am concerned, especially in the UK and from what I see, (but may miss something), in the EU, self-defense is against the law. Part of the totalitarian goal is to make everyone totally dependent on the state and never independent from the state. I appreciate the wisdom of the statement, “I carry a firearm because a cop is too heavy!” There is tremendous truth in it. In most of the US, especially the South, and especially where crime is lowest, lots of people are armed at home and elsewhere. One county in Alabama has a population of more or less 300,000 adults. Ten percent are licensed for concealed carry of firearms. Samuel Clemmons (Mark Twain) (paraphrased) said there is no more peaceful place than a room full of armed men.
Self defense is not a right; IT IS A DUTY. “Love your neighbor AS yourself” is not a direction to allow your neighbor to murder you because you love him and are prohibited from protecting yourself. We are all Children of a God who LOVED us to create us and allow us to live, and who craves our freedom, liberty and responsibility (lessons of Exodus). Compare that to another god that sees its followers as slaves for the purpose of enslaving others and dying. Our lives (infidels) belong to God who lends it to us for a while and then takes it back. He expects us to use that life as wisely and responsibly as we can, given the frailties that He knew before He created the world, as we would expect someone that we entrust with our wealth, property or safety. We are also our “brothers’ keeper” responsible not only for our defense but also those around us.
I may be a good example why weapons are a necessary part of defensive preparations because I am getting older, with health problems and am practically useless in unarmed combat. But for me to lay back and let myself be attacked, or watch someone being attacked, and try to defend, as one milktoast friend said, “with a rolled up newspaper” is beyond reason. The first steps for defense should be to know what you can do, be prepared, know what you can’t do for whatever reason, and do, not watch.
StellaSaidSo says
Good post, Frank.
I agree, the Left wants us powerless and defenceless, as I noted in an earlier post. Assault victims have often been ostracised, and even prosecuted, for fighting back. And if – as in the case of the woman in the wheelchair (in Germany, I think it was) – they are considered not to have fought back hard enough, they are presumed to have been willing participants in their own nightmare, and the perp walks.
Attackers always choose soft targets, and women, children, and the elderly are especially vulnerable. I don’t know if you’re at the point where you need a walking stick, Frank, but these can be very effective weapons if used creatively. I know of several seniors who don’t yet have a medical need, but who have acquired a sturdy example, and learned how to use it. There are videos on YouTube which demonstrate techniques.
A rolled up newspaper can do the job, of course, but only if it has a length of metal pipe inside it.
Frank Anderson says
In the southern US, we old folks carry licensed handguns. Because of a military trained father and 12 years of military school, their use is understood. With physical limitations either fight or die are the only options. Sorry for those who live where defense can turn into having to fight the state as well as the attacker. NOT HERE (Castle Law!)
StellaSaidSo says
Your Second Amendment is a prize to be cherished, Frank. Australians were disarmed following the Port Arthur Massacre in 1996. Relinquishing largely unused firearms, in a time of peace, didn’t seem like such a big deal back then. Now, people are beginning to suspect that the Port Arthur Massacre was a set-up, deliberately designed to render us defenceless.
Frank Anderson says
S.S.S., a little to one side (sidebar), but to me related: What sense would it make to take away every automobile that is not in the hands of the police or military because a drunk driver wipes out in a wreck a family, or a whole school bus? The drunk driver, not the automobile does the killing. What if the driver was a jihadi instead of a drunk?
The quote has been around a long time that, “God made man [humans in deference to gender issues]; Samuel Colt made them equal.” What chance would anyone who is not large, young and strong have against someone who is? NONE WHATEVER! Why should all law abiding citizens be denied the most basic right of self defense when 1 person shows evil? If you check out the National Rifle Association in the US you can see why, in large part, we still have a Second Amendment which means something. You could get some ideas for improvements, that I heartily support. When you are safer, so am I.
LeftisruiningCanada says
Good posts.
Second Amendment is beautiful. You can judge a lot by how a nation treats self defense and firearms ownership.
Politicianophobia says
I still believe all is fair in love and war, if we are fighting a group of people who say “ultimately we can never be full citizens of this country, because there is no way we can be fully committed to the institutions and ideologies of this country” convert or die, and make no mistake about it, that is exactly where we are in time, all rules change. My son just lectured me on my left jab not what it use to be, still I will never stand by and let anyone abuse another person, let us not stand by and allow a group of greedy, politicians looking for more power, aid in letting the barbarians change our lives forever. If Viktor Frankl were alive today, would anyone listen.
Frank Anderson says
Pol. . ., words from another source, not me, “Some will; Some won’t; But some will!” From the brilliant and in the past commonly spread Catholic teaching, ‘It is better to light one candle than to curse the darkness.” We need to light a lot of candles. “The longest journey begins with the first step.” I think we are learning how to present the issues to “light some candles” for people who do not know, and probably do not care at the moment*, but will soon.
