The Catholic Church, which makes millions of dollars annually on refugee resettlement, is now saying that those who oppose the Muslim migrant influx are morally deficient. If you don’t want your land invaded by tens or hundreds of thousands of people with vastly different values, which they consider superior to yours, you are simply not a good Christian.
Yet there is real cause for concern. Are Catholics to turn a blind eye to the fact that all of the jihadis who murdered 130 people in Paris in November 2015 had just entered Europe as refugees? Is it racism and xenophobia to recall that in February 2015, the Islamic State boasted it would soon flood Europe with as many as 500,000 refugees? Or that the Lebanese Education Minister said in September 2015 that there were 20,000 jihadis among the refugees in camps in his country?
Meanwhile, 80% of migrants who have come to Europe claiming to be fleeing the war in Syria aren’t really from Syria at all. So why are they claiming to be Syrian and streaming into Europe, and now the U.S. as well? An Islamic State operative gave the answer when he boasted in September 2015, shortly after the migrant influx began, that among the flood of refugees, 4,000 Islamic State jihadis had already entered Europe. He explained their purpose: “It’s our dream that there should be a caliphate not only in Syria but in all the world, and we will have it soon, inshallah.” These Muslims were going to Europe in the service of that caliphate: “They are going like refugees,” he said, but they were going with the plan of sowing blood and mayhem on European streets. As he told this to journalists, he smiled and said, “Just wait.”
On May 10, 2016, Patrick Calvar, the head of France’s DGSI internal intelligence agency, said that the Islamic State was using migrant routes through the Balkans to get jihadis into Europe.
“Leave them; they are blind guides. And if a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” (Matthew 15:14)
“Vatican Official Decries ‘Obsession’ with National Security, Border Control,” by Thomas D. Williams, Breitbart, January 12, 2018:
A Vatican official has come out swinging in defense of Pope Francis’ insistence on the topic of immigration, accusing the Pope’s critics of being “obsessed” with national security and border control.
Asked in an interview with Italian media whether the Pope isn’t “obsessed” with the immigration question, Jesuit Father Michael Czerny, undersecretary for the Vatican’s office of Migrants and Refugees, responded that it isn’t Pope Francis who is obsessive, but rather his critics.
Many would say that the modern “obsession with borders and national security to the detriment of the rights and dignity of refugees and refugees” is excessive, the priest declared. And for many others, “the media predilection for sensational stories that feed xenophobia and isolationism is also excessive,” he added.
For many people, “the way in which politicians create or exaggerate a sense of crisis to obtain short-term advantages is decidedly excessive,” he said.
Anybody who thinks the Pope’s focus on migrants is obsessive “should give the current situation a thoughtful look,” Father Czerny said. If anything is excessive, “it is the slowness with which the ‘developed’ world responds to such obvious and pressing needs,” many would say.
Citing the Secretary General of the United Nations, António Guterres, the priest said that “the rise of nationalism and xenophobia must be counted among the new dangers for global peace and stability.”
“Far from criticizing the Pope’s attention,” he said, “many good people—and I think they are the overwhelming majority—are indeed deeply grateful for his moral guidance and good example.”
“And I agree with him when he says: ‘Those who fuel fear towards migrants, perhaps for political ends, instead of building peace, sow violence, racial discrimination and xenophobia,’” he said.
The official added that true leaders “show that the common good can and must be pursued and that there is no ‘common good’ based on fear, defense and marginalization.”
The Vatican office for Migrants and Refugees working for “the expansion of safe, legal channels for all migrants through the granting of humanitarian visas” as well as promoting “programs of community sponsorship” for migrants and refugees.
Last fall, the Vatican announced the roll-out of a two-year campaign called “Share the Journey” aimed at provoking a “shift in thinking” on immigration.
The campaign is being spearheaded by the global Catholic charities network Caritas Internationalis, and was launched as a response to Pope Francis’ frequent summons for a “culture of encounter.”
Our world “faces not a migration crisis, but a crisis of global solidarity,” Caritas says on its website. “Be part of a worldwide campaign to reach out to migrants, change perceptions, open hearts and minds, and strengthen the bonds that unite us all.”….

And the predilection to invent the moral rights of refugees over the rights of ‘citizens’ of all lands to not only be protected but to be morally responsible for their protection, and for their states to be morally responsible for their protection. Nations exist, and ‘people’s exist as a unit and nations have the responsibility to their peoples. When all the failures of those failed societies are ignored, and instead, put upon other nations to soak up all that failure, then the lies of the failures are compounded. The church may make multi millions off of this but the nations that have to soak up other nations failures pay dearly. When the majority of the people roaming out of failed nations, bring their own beliefs, and do not absorb into the nations, laws, mores of their new nations, the church has nothing to say except that the host nations must be guilty- not the failed beliefs of the roaming migrants, nor their failed nations they left, nor their failed beliefs that they insist ‘others’ too must follow in their new nations.

2) Again, a brilliant point. Where is the moral leadership? The church takes the timid path, pretending that all ideologies, political systems, social practices etc. are functionally equivalent. Why isn’t the church promoting the adoption of Western style republicanism (“democracy”) and capitalism all around the world instead of their preference for soft style Marxist variants that supposedly “help the poor”? While they’re at it, why isn’t the church encouraging the rejection of Islam’s regressive ideas?

As a Catholic I am ashamed at the present leaders of the church. There are two main jobs of the Roman Catholic church one is to defend the faithful in their worship and the other is to help guide them in the Catholic faith so we do not go to hell. The church,s job is not to pimp themselves {the leaders} out just to get money from different American and foreign governments to help resettle so call “refugees”. Were is the Roman Catholic churches out cry when Christians are kill their churches bomb in the middle east. When Christian girls are kidnap in Africa, Asian, and rape by Moslem gangs that proudly proclaim they are doing Allahs work according to them and the words in the Koran, where is the church? Where is the church when immigrant families of Pakistan make rape a sick family affair in rape grooming gangs raping non moslems and pimp out under age drugged victims in England? Where is the church as Christian churches in Islamic major countries are bomb, burn down ,the faithful murder in them as mass is being said? The silence as these atrocities are committed daily all over the world speaks shout loudly the church feels no need to protect the faithful. Recover from what? It doesn’t seem that you understand what the Church’s mission is on earth. The Church only real mission to provide the sacraments for the sanctification of the faithful. The priest who has been so invested through the Apostolic line of succession of which he is in direct lineage doesn’t have to be a faithful Catholic in order to provide these sacraments to those who are. People have free will even priests and even Popes. The Church in her human aspect has always been corrupt just like Israel before her but in the deeper sense she has and always will be completely pure because her purity only depends on the purity of her sacraments which Christ himself has guaranteed.
So again I ask, recover from what?
WPM says
You are wrong they have to be faithful Catholic Priest to provide the sacraments, and they take vows to defend the church. All People have free will, that means I can decide to do anything I want does that mean I should commit murder rape and mayhem? There is a “human aspect” does not mean there is no sin, that all faiths are equal, that the church should not defends its faith or other Christian faiths .That faiths that demean the respect of all people {Islam} should be given room to grow and control people outside of Islam, people of authority running the governments of countries. The church has three choices they can remain silent on the murder of Christians by Islamics ,they can condemn the murder of Christians by Islamics, or they can be bought out by Islamics by getting “refugee mucho bucks” to take in Islamics “refugees ‘ and join the mush headed one world,s fools parade. You do not get to heaven being an easy going everything is fine no fault life. WPM, Francis was not validly elected, which means he is an anti-pope. He is also the False Prophet of Revelations. The Catholic leadership is so lax because Communists and Freemasons infiltrated the Catholic clergy in an attempt to destroy the Catholic Church from within. See Bella Dodd’s presentation to Congress about her work as an attorney for U.S. Communist Party recruiting bad priests for seminary on YouTube and TAN book “AA-1025” by French E.R. nurse, Marie Carre.
The Catholic Church will never be totally destroyed, but she will suffer much confusion and then a schism. See also Our Lady’s message at Church-approved apparition at La Salette France, 1846, where she said: “Rome will lose faith and become the seat of the Antichrist. Keep the faith! We will soon need to attend Masses “underground,” in people’s homes, to attend a valid Mass, after Francis changes the consecration. Schism.

There is a picture of Pope Francis washing the feet of muslims, which is disturbing on many levels. Footwashing is a ritual which is supposed to be among Christians, to prepare others to go out into the world and preach the gospel, for reconciliation between church members, or as an example of humility which was first demonstrated by Christ. Since muslims will not be preaching the gospel, and they are not church members, it isn’t appropriate to be doing this to them; there were other, more appropriate ways they could have been welcomed, if the pope so desired.
Muslims will only ever see Pope Francis washing their feet as a sign of their (muslims’) supposed “superiority”. It’s how they see everything, every concession, every apology, every act of welcome extended by deluded “one worlders”. It’s sad, but their entire lives are about dominating others and also advancing their sick ideology, and for that reason they don’t belong in the west.

Just remember that the Catholic Church opposed Charles Martel in raising monies and an army to confront the Muslims prior to the battle of Tours. Charles Martel was almost excommunicated by the church for these anti-Muslim activities.
gravenimage says
The idea that the Catholic Church was pro-Muslim during the Middle Ages is completely ahistoric–the truth was just the opposite.
As for Charles Martel’s relationship with the popes, Pope Gregory III, whose realm was being menaced by the Lombards, and who could no longer rely on help from Constantinople, asked Charles to defend the Holy See and offered him the Roman consulship.
As for the threat of excommunication–which was actually quite commonly wielded by popes against rulers at the time–this was *not* because Charles Martel opposed Islam. It was because he seized Church lands and property to pay his troops, so he could maintain a standing army. This army was not just to fight the invading Muslims–he also consolidated lands held by Christians and pagans.
Ultimately, of course, Charles Martel was not excommunicated, and is regarded as a great hero in protecting Christian Europe from the Muslim invasions.

The problems in the entire world has one root cause. Religion.
History has shown us that religious ideals attached to the salvation narrative have consistently been used to legitimate violience, rape, genocide and destruction of the natural world.
The leaders of the world just love religion. It helps them keep their slaves under control. Iran presently is a good example.
The western elites god is Machiavelli, and are faithful followers.
All religions have a checkered past, and were forced upon the masses by the stake and the sword.
The problem is that Islam was created in the 7th century. So they are about 700 years behind Christianity, and about 4000 years behind Judaism, from which these two religions evolved, and both have a lot of catching up to do.
Religion has never made the world safe. The we\they syndrome divides, always has and always will. The elites know this and this makes them strong and keeps them in control. The EU is a good example.
Somehow we have to make the world safe from religion. The pope is a good example of this.
Islam is a religion of total submission, and no questioning is allowed. The elites, and the EU just love this, as it is a perfect fit to their agenda. Total control, power and wealth for a few for ever and ever.

Some religions are bad and some people who are religious are bad but I’m not convinced that all religions are bad. Older Canadian, not all religions are the same. Christianity is, for example, very different from Islam.
And I cannot believe that you think that there are no problems in Stalin’s Russia, in Mao’s China, or in North Korea. The horrors under Communism were not due to religion.
As for this suicidal dhimmitude, there are many Atheist and Agnostic dhimmis, as well as those like this pope or the former Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams. You find dhimmis of all faiths, and none.

I disagree, Older Canadian. There are other causes of evil than religion, for instance the lust for power, for money and for sex. Biochemistry also plays a role in evil at times when one is born without a conscience or is pathologically selfish or narcissistic.
LeftisruiningCanada says
You hear this “religion causes all the problems/wars etc” line now and again, but it’s not very convincing.
“History has shown us that religious ideals attached to the salvation narrative have consistently been used to legitimate violience, rape, genocide and destruction of the natural world.”
As have every other kind of ideal. Every set of ideas can and have been used to justify all manner of bad behavior.
No, at best we could say that ‘strongly held’ ideals are the cause of the world’s problems, because people who believe things strongly either die very quickly or kill very quickly.
Aldous Huxley made Soma the way to suppress and block out strong beliefs, because he understood that as being one way to create a peaceful society, at least on the outside.
But even that failed. Why? Because human nature is the real issue.
That again is why all the major revolutionary ideologies sought to alter human nature. Communism as Marx described it was only achievable through the complete reconstruction of human nature.
Any ideology that seeks to alter human nature, to make it conform to some utopian master plan of peace and altruism, will always require the use of violence..always.

My 7th greatgrandmother was murdered during a raid of northern france when king louis ordered his troups to raid their village to ” rid it of the infective sect”. You see their theology was not correct. They were mennonite. My 7th greatgrandfather and one child my 6th greatgrandfather survived and immigrated to the new world in 1751.
She was a victim of the catholic inquistion, which according to historical study exterminated up to 9 million in about 500 years.
We now have another inquistion that is brewing, or should say a resurgence of a old one that again from historical estimates has exterminated. 200 million in the past 1400 years. The motivation is theology, and reward upon conquest is land, wealth, and power.
LeftisruiningCanada says
Many terrible things have happened in the world for sure.
But i stand by the idea that the motivation can be anything; theology, economics, political, tribal, personal grudge, revenge…the list is a long as human history.
We are by nature turbulent and warlike, however much we might want to deny it of ourselves.
Wanting to pin the blame on any one of those in particular is missing the point; it’s a hardware problem rather than a software problem
Wellington says
Seconded. There are a myriad of causes for evil. Focusing solely on one as the only cause guarantees one will miss a lot and thus many assessments of human nature and the history of man will suffer because of this indefensible short-sightedness.
Valkyrie Ziege says
; Absolute power corrupts absolutely,
and religions have absolute power.

The Pope does not have absolute power.
WPM says
The pope cannot sent people to spy in me, he cannot fire me for my job. He cannot force me to pay the church my money, he will not send people to stone me to death if I have sex outside of marriage or gay sex. He does not condone my wife being raped because her face is uncovered in public. He does not command people in the faith to conquer countries in the name of God. He does not approve of women of the right hand He does not have total control over my life , the church believes in free will. Islam has these controls over peoples lives in Islamic controlled countries .Islam wants and commands Islam to push this way of life threw out the world. The pope is a fool ,but his power over people outside the faith is zero ,his power over people in the faith is small and always called to question. The pope does not call for slaughter of others outside of the faith, or sinners, or blasphemers ,Islam calls for death or harsh punishment or slavery for those outside of the faith. The Pope giving in to Islam lies is given license to keep pushing these ideas to areas of the world that people inside and outside of the faith will suffer. He is the useful one world believing idiot ,you do not turn your back and let murder rape ,and mayhem run wild hoping the rapist might have a change of heart if treated kindly.

I consider this idiot to be “Morally deficient,” In fact, I consider the Pope of Rome to be “Morally deficient.” When he opens the Vatican doors and tears down the Vatican walls, I might reconsider.
Jacqueleen says
The problem is that these are NOT REFUGEES. THEY ARE KILLERS. PERIOD!
Isabelle Terry says
Well. I refuse to accept this premise. One does not sacrifice the safety of those around him for inept social policy. One does not throw away his and others’ riches on “welfare” programs that only produce more sloth and takers. The argument here is: Agree with us and our way of solving problems… or you are morally bankrupt. I think the Vatican has dollar signs in their eyes where the Cross used to be.
Savvy Kafir says
“…the rights and dignity of refugees”.
Yes, these “refugees” have been so very dignified, as they rape and and grope and murder their way across Europe — shitting in swimming pools, masturbating in public, etc., etc.
“Dignified.” That’s the word that instantly comes to mind.
Robeaver says
The Vatican needs more illiterate, poor, young boys for its priesthoodlums.
Immigration provides these. Most immigrants in this category are Muslim. Therefore protect and encourage Islamic immigrants!! Seems to make perfect sense. Just to shine a spotlight on this topic.
Lydia Church says
Antichrist frankie just wants his one world government, religion, and economy. It’s all in the details.
Hogdude says
If the Vatican wants to house refugees, they are free to do so. No one is stopping it or them. The Church has millions of dollars to do so. As for the U.S., we’ll follow the law and reason.
