When is Macy’s launching its clothing line geared toward Jews? Christians? Hindus? Buddhists?
In any case, coming at a time when Iranian women are risking years in prison for daring to take off their hijabs, for Macy’s to celebrate this emblem of oppression is grotesque. In recognition of that fact, Macy’s should drop this clothing line, just as it would drop a clothing line inspired by, say, the KKK or the Nazis. But it won’t.
