A quarter of Dutch school trips abroad no longer include destinations that have been hit by terrorist attacks
“Dutch schools avoid trips to cities that are targets for terrorism”, Dutch News, February 13, 2018:
A quarter of Dutch school trips abroad no longer include destinations that have been hit by terrorist attacks, a new poll says.
Educational research bureau DUO polled 200 secondary schools and over two thirds of the respondents expressed doubts about the safety of such trips. Many schools have scrapped London, Paris and Berlin as destinations and are favouring smaller cities, like Valencia or Glasgow. Some schools are avoiding all European capitals.
A small number of schools said they are abolishing trips abroad altogether, not because of terrorism but because of the risks involved in sending teachers abroad with a group of teenagers.
‘Safety is relative, of course. Something could happen at home as well,’ the AD quotes school administrator Rob Aarts as saying.
According to the researchers, parents play an important role when it comes to deciding a destination. At over half of the schools some pupils are not allowed to go on a school trip abroad because their parents object. ‘Many schools respect the opinion of the parents although the ultimate decision lies with them,’ DUO researcher Liesbeth van der Woud told the paper…..

Having lived in the Netherlands in the past, for quite some years, it is sad to say that the likes of Rotterdam, Utrecht, Den Haag and Amsterdam are ruined by their Muslim populace. So very sad!

“….Leftist ideologues continue to smear people who warn about the serious threats to freedoms that Westerners take for granted. Those who choose reason and truth over propaganda and political correctness have been branded as “alt-right,” “white supremacists,” “fearmongers,” “paranoid” and the like….”
This MUST change soon. The smarter set of us who have it correct and right, we are going to have to be bold, and make changes that bolster our positions. Legislation is needed. Law suits are required. Meanwhile, reverse protesting is necessary.

Better alternative:
1. Properly inform students about islam – e.a. not just by inviting a woman in a hijab.
2. Teach students media competence and criticism towards mass media and “social” networks. Most young people use fb and twitter because their friends do too, most believe in mass media because they are “big” etc.
3. Teach history in regards to similar setups in recent history and the end results. Most history classes tend to avoid the last 30-50 years competely, which is not an accident, but because politicians and their parties obviously don’t want young people to draw conclusions to current politics.

Just don’t go to Glasgow by air. Valencia isn’t exactly free of jihad activity either.
Better head over to Hungary for your school trips maybe.

I guess this means that the Europeans are giving up on teaching their children about the greatness of their glorious past. If the Dutch school don’t let their children view first hand and up close the painting of Van Gogh and other great paintings, they will lose their heritage. Places such as the Louver, the great cathedrals, palaces such as Schloss Schönbrunn and Versailles are a tribute to the greatness of Europe. And as someone mentioned, how could a visit by any Dutch person, especially a child, be forgone because of fear? The cult want to force everyone to forget their rich past.

They could all visit the local mega mosque instead of leaving town….maybe take part in a ‘live as a muslim’ week where they put a prayer times app on their mobile phones, wear a kufi/niqab, and memorize the 9th sura.
I’m sure there are many at every mosque who will be willing to teach little boys and girls all about wudu, with lots of hands on assistance.

why fix the real problem when you can just avoid it?
The question is what do you do when every city has been attacked by jihadis?
