Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Iraqi Archbishop: Muslim “slow-motion genocide” of Christians began 1400 years ago

Feb 20, 2018 5:20 am By Christine Douglass-Williams

The Chaldean Archbishop of Erbil stated that:

having faced for 1,400 years the slow-motion genocide that began long before the ongoing ISIS genocide today, the time for excusing this inhuman behavior and its causes is long since past

Iraqi Archbishop Bashar Warda’s declaration is a fact of history that the willfully blind refuse to see. This is key to understanding the global jihad that continues to escalate, thanks to lax Western leaders who turn a blind eye to the ideological roots of the jihad and continue to implement reckless immigration policies.

With reference to Trump’s temporary ban on Muslim countries of concern, Warda once commented:

It is terrible to live with terrorism. My country lives with terrorism daily. And if the United States wants to have a strong vetting process, I can understand and appreciate that.

The rape of infidel women, the beating of wives, the murder of apostates, throwing gays off rooftops, FGM, stonings, the amputation of hands, decapitations, public floggings, persecution of Christians, the murder of minority groups (including Muslims for not being Muslim enough) are historic plagues. They did not begin in recent times, but are mandated according to Islamic jurisprudence.

“Iraqi Archbishop: Muslim ‘Slow-Motion Genocide’ of Christians Began 1400 Years Ago”, by Thomas D. Williams, Breitbart, February 19, 2018:

The violent Muslim persecution of Christians in the Middle East did not begin with the Islamic State’s rise to power in 2014, said Iraqi Archishop Bashar Warda, but rather many centuries ago.

“Having faced for 1,400 years the slow-motion genocide that began long before the ongoing ISIS genocide today, the time for excusing this inhuman behavior and its causes is long since past,” said the Chaldean Archbishop of Erbil in a forceful speech last week at Georgetown University.

According to the archbishop, Islamic persecution of Christians in the Middle East began with the founding of Islam itself in the 7th century, and thus is a permanent fixture of Islam that was present from the very beginning.

“The harsh truth to this question is that without an end to this persecution and violence there is no future for religious pluralism in Iraq or anywhere else in the Middle East for that matter,” he said.

Warda’s thesis coincides exactly with that of Jesuit scholar Father James V. Schall, who wrote in 2016 that Islam’s consistent advocacy of violence has been practiced “from its seventh century beginning.”

In a sobering essay titled “Realism and Islam,” Schall, who taught Political Philosophy at Georgetown University for many years and has written more than two dozen books, insisted that the Muslim religion must be evaluated on its own terms rather than through the lens of the Judeo-Christian West.

Violence is intrinsic to the nature of Islam itself, and is not just a symptom of extremism, Father Schall wrote. Its purpose, he proposed, “is, ultimately, religious and pious.”

Recalling numerous acts of Islamic terror and violence in recent years, Schall suggested that the most plausible way to judge such continuing violence is by looking back at Islam over the centuries.

“To make this assessment, we have to acknowledge that Islam, in principle, is actually and potentially violent throughout its entire history.” Moreover, he wrote, the basic reason for this method “is obedience to the Law of Allah.”

“What we see now is little different from what has been seen throughout the centuries wherever Islam is found,” he says.

The reason that violence accompanies Islam wherever it goes, Schall suggested, is that it is part of the essence of Islam and is called for in the religion’s sacred texts.

“The designated and determined goal of the conquest of the world for Allah has been reinvigorated again and again in world history from the time of Mohammed in the seventh century,” Schall declared. “These revivals and expansions, which have only been temporarily halted by superior counterforce, have roots in the Qur’an itself and in its commentaries.”

In the past, scholars like Thomas Aquinas and Hilaire Belloc were convinced that the threat to the West did not come from Muslim “extremists,” but rather from Islam itself. Belloc famously called Islam “the most formidable and persistent enemy” of Western civilization.

Such historical realism can be found not only among Christian scholars, but among those raised as Muslims as well.

In 2016, a former Muslim recounted his story in a USA Today article titled “The Quran’s Deadly Role in Inspiring Belgian Slaughter.”

The writer, Nabeel Qureshi, said that he when began to investigate the Quran and the traditions of Muhammad’s life, “I found to my genuine surprise that the pages of Islamic history are filled with violence.”

The author downplayed other explanations that have been given for Islamic radicalization, such as the State Department’s suggestion that a “lack of opportunity for jobs” was to blame.

“ISIL’s primary recruiting technique is not social or financial but theological,” Qureshi wrote, recalling that the Islamic State appeals to the highest sources of authority in Islam, the Quran and hadith (the collection of the sayings of the prophet Muhammad), reminding Muslims of their duty to fight against the enemies of Islam.

Qureshi wrote that the Internet “has made the traditions of Muhammad readily available for whoever wishes to look them up, even in English,” effectively bypassing centuries of tradition and their imams’ interpretations.

When Muslims do this, “they are confronted with the reality of violent jihad in the very foundations of their faith,” he said.

In his address last week, Archbishop Warda called for historical honesty from both Muslims and Christians. Sugar-coating the historical reality of Islam, as well as the roots of violence in its foundational texts, will benefit no one.

“When a people have nothing left to lose, in some sense it is very liberating and from this position of clarity and newfound courage I must speak to you honestly on behalf of my people and speak to you the truth,” Warda said.

The typical Muslim response to Islamic State atrocities, he said, falls along the line of “ISIS does not represent Islam,” but rarely goes further, with no recognition of past persecution of Christians or any expression of remorse for it.

“We object that one faith has now the right to kill another. There needs to be a change and a correction within Islam,” he said.

Estimates suggest that the Christian population in Iraq has fallen to some 200,000, down from about 1.5 million in 2003.

“So many of our people have fled, and so few of us are left,” Warda said….

You are without doubt the most spectacularly stupid person ever to comment on these pages.

Stella, is right, Ibrahim, with your SPECTACULAR STUPIDITY, how can anyone respect Muslims?

IBRAHIM, you are slandering the victims of GENOCIDE in order to justify past and present ILL-TREATMENT and PERSECUTION OF THEM. Your argument is that THE CHALDEANS DESERVE to be persecuted by Muslims.

IBRAHIM, DO YOU KNOW HOW EVIL YOU ARE? You are advocating GENOCIDE.

Ibrahim is CLEARLY STATING and ADMITTING exactly what I have said:

“MUSLIM MALES REMOVE THE HUMAN RIGHTS AND CIVIL LIBERTIES of WOMEN and ‘OTHERS’ “.

Ibrahim is stating that DHIMMIS have “PRIVILEGES” granted by the RULING ISLAMIC DICTATORSHIP upon the WHIMS of the DICTATOR and that the DHIMMIS haven’t EQUALITY or iron-clad HUMAN RIGHTS.

In an Islamic DICTATORSHIP EVERYONE lives in constant fear.

That’s exactly what he means, Kay–in Islam, “slander”–“Ghiba”–does not mean maliciously lying about someone; it means saying something about Muslims that they do not want known.

Ibrahim, its as if you didn’t even read the article. Really. You selected one sentence and falsely based your entire argument on it.
Additionally, you’re an absolute idiot of the highest order. Not only did you selectively cherry pick your rebuttal topic, but you applied your indoctrinated rhetoric, thereby demonstrating your vast stupidity.
Don’t come here and insult the intelligence of people who know enough about Islam to see through the lies and deceit. You have proved what all of us already know: that Islam removes from it’s adherents any possibility of critical thought.

Good Dockemeyer, you are correct. He is insulting the intelligence of INFORMED PEOPLE. He is a like a man who goes into the office at NASA and tells the engineers that the earth is flat.

Islam is a form of self-hypnosis causing COGNITIVE DISTORTION resulting in COMPLETE AMORALITY.

Anyone who justifies GENOCIDE (as does Ibrahim) is AMORAL.

      • Carol (the 1st) says

        Feb 22, 2018 at 1:47 am

Muslims don’t deserve to be let off the hook by sprinkling the perfumed word AMORAL around. Desensitization does not equate to amorality and anyone capable of loving their own has visceral knowledge of what is moral versus what is immoral and therefore muslims have much blood on their hands for seeming to benefit from and be complicit in a very nasty and predatory creed.

Archbishop Warda is brave and we have to hope such a man does not get “wasted”. I find the lengthy Schall essay creepily apologetic (predation as not personal but a religious deed – the Allah made me do it perfume) but plan to finish reading it sometime to see if he concludes with the appropriate condemnatory summation of Islam.

It would be quite interesting to see the likes of philosopher Stefan Molyneux address the subject of ISLAM AND AMORALITY VERSUS IMMORALITY.

Spoken like a true Muslim….. in denial!
You clearly are a person too terrified of facing the truth, because there is no doubt that if you did then you would realise that you’ve been cruelly duped by the teachings of a cult you have no doubt followed all your life. So clearly from your comments you choose to carry on living in your misguided world of make believe!

The fact is that Muslims over the ages have been directly responsible for taking the lives of over 270 million people, a number that grows on a daily basis. How you can deny this baffles me, not to mention the atrocities that Muslims are carrying out around the World on a daily basis.
Many Muslims literally have allowed the evil of Satan to enter their minds, and that is what is controlling their thoughts and actions.

You also talk of the ‘privileges’ of Arab Christians? So what ‘privileges’ are they then? Is it the ‘privilege’ of being attacked, raped or murdered by you heathens?

You then claim that the US etc are sponsoring ‘misguided terrorists’, (all of whom are Muslims I may add), to attack and murder themselves!!! What? Surely you can do better that?

How can you dare to argue against what is clearly written in the Qu’ran and the Hadiths? And please spare me your preachings about what is contained in them. The Meccan part of the Qu’ran being full of love, tolerance and understanding, which is then mostly nullified by what is contained in the later Medinian part, the part that is full of hate, intolerance and murderous instruction. And as you should know (being a well versed Muslim as I’m sure you are) this is then significantly nullified by the law of abrogation that overrules the earlier teachings of the Meccan part! All part of the intentional deceit I guess, which is to primarily deceive people into believing that it is a ‘religion of peace’, when in reality it isn’t!

Now tell me that I’m wrong, and that I’ve misunderstood the teachings of Islam. I’m sure you’re going to try. (Yes, I do my homework on Islam……do you?).

        • Rufluc says

          Feb 22, 2018 at 6:32 am

I’ve always believed that Billy. Think about it for a minute. If Satan wanted to spread his evil throughout the World, how best would he go about it?
Surely wouldn’t he conjure up a ‘belief system’ that would primarily set out to dupe and deceive people into convincing them that it was morally and spiritually ‘good’, whereas in reality it is evil to its core? Much like a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

So, why is the Quran made up of two books (The earlier Meccan and the later Medinian)? Nothing wrong in that…until you look more closely.

The earlier Meccan version is the ‘sweetness and light’ version that many Muslims just love to promote, because the later Medinian version is the one that is full of hate, hostility and loathing of others and teaches and instructs Muslims how to treat ‘Kaffirs’ and other ‘non believers’. It teaches them they are superior and can treat ‘non believers’ as possessions to do as they like with, as we all know as we are unduly reminded of it on a daily basis.

But then the lunatic leftist liberals (in other words, the uneducated self loathing traitorous ‘thickos’ in our midst), as well as many Muslims, would argue that most Muslims would choose to follow the teachings of the earlier ‘good’ Meccan book, and in some cases this maybe true. BUT here is the crux of the matter, the bit that is intended to deceive most people (as Satan intended). IFthey were TRUE TO THE BOOK Muslims, they would know that by the law of abrogation, if there are conflicts between the two books, then the later Medinian book shall take precedence over the earlier Meccan version! Wow, so how marvellously deceptive is that!!
This is why ISIS, Al Qaeda and all the other evil little Islamic ‘spin off’s’ choose the radical path of Islam. The path of evil. It’s because they are following the TRUE teachings of Islam. Just how Satan intended! I just wish our illustrious uneducated leaders had the intelligence to fully appreciate this reality and act upon it, but they too have been seduced by the lies that pour from their Muslim advisor’s. I just hope it isn’t too late for common sense to prevail, so that this evil can be sent back to the s******e countries they came from!

The appalling Ibrahim itace muhammed wrote:

If at all this mithraist archbishop is from Iraq, he lied. He should tell us where did such slow motion genocide on christians take and by whom ?
      ………………………….

Well, this is just grotesque–Ibrahim itace muhammed has himself said that anyone who does not submit to Islam can be slaughtered, and that he himself looks forward to taking part in the genocide of the Jews.

Moreover, Bashar Warda is Archishop of Erbil–one of the centers of the savage Armenian Genocide. This was certainly genocide against Christians, but a hundred years ago it was not slow motion, when the Ottoman Empire and its successors slaughtered an estimated 1.5 million Christians (Erbil was then a Vilayet of the Ottoman Empire).

In fact, there are just a remnant of Christians remaining in Turkey and Iraq today.

How can Ibrahim itace muhammed think we do not know this?

      More:

Hé has quickily forgotten the privileges Arab christians have been enjoying within those 1400 years before the advent of misguided terrorists sponsored by evil united states and fascist evil zionist state ?
      ………………………….

That would be “privileges” like paying crushing Jizya, suffering humiliation, being treated with codified oppression, having womenkidnapped and raped, and being subject to periodic progroms and mass slaughter–the Armenian Genocide being merely the worst of its kind.

And the Armenian Genocide took place long before the founding of the state of Israel–how does he explain this?

And of course Ibrahim itace muhammed is spouting calumny about the civilized and democratic United States and Israel–pretending that ISIS is not Islamic, but instead American and Jewish.

Not only is this ludicrous, but Christians were being targeted for murder by his coreligionists in Iraq long before ISIS raised its ugly head–anyone who has read here at Jihad Watch for more than a couple of years is well aware of this.

The real problem we face where Christianity is concerned is its approach to being far too forgiving, far too liberal, far too tolerant and far too accommodating of the devil cult of Islam!

If our leaders in the West only had the intelligence and the courage to face up to this scourge that is a made up ‘religion’ from the rantings of a 7th century schizophrenic, warmongering, murdering, paedophile, who was clearly mentally deluded.

It is a cult that succeeds in deceiving its followers into believing they are superior to all others. Their misogynistic, homophobic murdering and torturing beliefs should remain in the 7th century where they belong.

If only our leaders (not Trump…peace be upon him) would wake up to the fact that the spread of Islam, which they are actively promoting as a result of their so called Christian beliefs, is like the black plague of years gone by. It needs to be wiped from the face of this Earth, with all those that follow and practice its barbaric supremacist teachings!

          ……………………………

Of course, this is insane. No one gets the history of Muslim persecution of Christians from the Bible–the Bible predates Islam.

There is abundant historical evidence of oppression and violence against Christians and other Infidels–including *from Muslim sources*. Ibrahim itace muhammed pretending this is not so is ludicrous.

For instance, regarding the Armenian Genocide, there are accounts from survivors, Turkish officials, and third-party observers like Western journalists, aid workers, ex-pats, and diplomats, and German officers during WWI. Some of these people were sympathetic to the victims; some were not–but they all tell the same basic story.

And there was extensive photographic evidence, as well–here is a photograph of some of the Armenian dead taken by the American Ambassador to Turkey:

          https://www.google.com/save

Now, there is often film as well as photographs.

Moreover, he *himself* has said that any Infidels who do not submit to Islam can be robbed, raped, used as sex slaves, and murdered outright.

    • dumbledoresarmy says

      Feb 20, 2018 at 7:36 am

Wrong. The genocide *did* start when the Muslims conquered the Mideast and Mesopotamia – which were at that time ENTIRELY non-Islamic.

It was a ‘slow-motion’ genocide, as the originally huge Christian population (with a substantial Jewish minority, and other minorities such as the Mandaeans and Yazids) were exploited, degraded, humiliated and terrorised, century after century, becoming gradually a smaller and smaller percentage of the population.

Incidentally, there were Muslim mass murders of Assyrian Christians in the *1930s* (as also mass murders and drivings-out and rapes and kidnappings of the Jews).

And before *that*, there was a great spree of allahu-akbaring mass-murder – and rape, and kidnapping of girls and children and forced-conversions, and all the other *shit* that Muslims just LOVE to inflict on any defenceless non-Muslims – at the time of the genocide of the Armenian Christians in the eastern part of the Ottoman Muslim empire. Many, many, many Assyrian Christians, and Greek Christians, were either murdered or driven out of their ancestral homelands, by Muslim thugs and murderers, during that period also.

And if one goes back into the history, one sees a long bleak process of oppression and degradation, punctuated by sprees of mass murder by Muslim despots and/ or by Muslim mobs, going right back to the first arrival of Muslim mobsters in those parts.

The only reason the Muslims didn’t kill everybody all at once is because they *liked* having a chew-toy, punching bag and, most important of all, *milch-cow* from which to squeeze the Jizya. What does a mafioso do if he doesn’t have anybody to hold to ransom, anybody to blackmail into paying him ‘protection’ money?

Greed (keeping *some* dhimmis around so as to have people to do the dirty work like cleaning latrines and picking up rubbish, as well as to pay the jizya) sometimes countered the sheer lust to KILL, and kill, and kill. But periodically the psychopathic lust to KILL overcame greed. And right now the sacralised lust for ritual murder is overcoming other considerations.

          https://www.huffingtonpost.com/doug-bandow/genocide-proceeds-against_b_9599850.html

This is from the Huffington Post, a publication that has little sympathy with Evengelicals:

          https://www.huffingtonpost.com/topic/evangelicals

I include this link not because I agree with most of this, but because I want to show that even a news source quite hostile to Evangelicals is well aware of the genocide against Christians and other Infidels in the Muslim Middle East.

      The repulsive lebel wrote:

      “1.5 million in 2003.”

This after 1400 years of Islam? Is this a genocide? It’s not of course.
      …………………………………….

Apart from some Jews and pagans, the entire Middle East was Christian before the Muslim invasion. There is just a small remnant left now, and they will almost certainly be driven out and slaughtered within our lifetimes.

That lebel does not consider this genocide is *sickening*.

      More:

The genocide started in 2003….with an invasion which led to the destruction of Iraq and the rise of extremism.
      …………………………………….

What claptrap–this began *long* before the Iraq war.

He also does not mention how Iraq having a chance at democracy led to the mass slaughter of Christians.

      More:

I note that the archbishop is based in Erbil, among Muslims who believe in Islam but are taking their sweet time to implement their Islamic duty.
      …………………………………….

As I noted above, Erbil was one of the centers of the Armenian Genocide–that he describes that horror as “Muslims….taking their sweet time” in butchering Christians could not be more grotesque.

      More:

Fine, I agree that Muslim persecution of Christians across the Middle East is occurring and has occurred.

But that’s a long way from a genocide that started 1400 years ago.
      …………………………………….

The mainstream press has acknowledged that Christians are being eradicated from the Middle East, but the vile lebel is sneering at this. *Ugh*.

But didn’t Saddam Hussein protect the Christians from Muslim sectarian violence? Wasn’t his deputy Prime Minister Tariq Aziz a Christian?
This ‘democracy’ forced upon Iraq, by the illegal invasion by the US, turned out to be a curse for the Iraqi Christians.

Saddam Hussein was not as oppressive against Christians as is ISIS, if that is what Chand is trying to say.

But no–life was still violent and Christians still suffered persecution under Saddam. Things were even worse there without a strongman.

There is no doubt that the Americans vastly underestimated the malignancy of Islam.

But note what the vile Chand is trying to do here–posit that Islam is not a problem at all, but that violence against Christians is the fault of the United States.

He is hoping we will ignore the fact that Muslims have been presecuting and slaughtering Christians since long before America was even founded.

Bridget Gabriel traces the retrograde downfall of the Middle East to the likes of the Ayatollah Khomeini and some new-found oil money in their pockets. She now realizes the rulers and “dictators” did what they had to do in order to keep the fanatics at bay. Those countries seemed so VERY much better off then – why Beirut was multicultural and known as the Paris of the Middle East! Then they unwisely thought they were strong enough to take in the muslim refugees that Jordan had kicked out and no one else would take. She discusses all this around the midway point:

Turning the other face… That, in my opinion, was said for PERSONAL offences, not for actions against a whole people, or nation, We must defend our beliefs, our rights as a nation, and other people, specially the weaker ones who cannot defend themselves. Christ himself acted strongly (for example, in the temple, casting out the sellers). As for Islam, as well as Leftism, we shoul recognize them for the evil menaces they are, and never give in; we should be tolerant when speaking to their misguided followers, if possible, but there are some who are beyond our tolerance. Let us show our strong disapproval for them, and keep out of their influence. That is not cowardice; it is just common sense,
If the time comes (perhaps I should say when, not if) to fight, let us pray God for his blessing in our battles!.

The violent and vicious jihad-minded Muslims in their murderous persecution of Christians aren’t really going to get away with their destruction of Christians. As the apostle Paul had written each individual Christian is actually, in the View of God, a temple of God. For to Christians, it is written in the Bible “Don’t you know that that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? If anyone destroys God’s Temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.” First Corinthians 3:16,17. [N.I.V.] As in “A man reaps what he sows.” Galatians 6:7.

I just don’t ‘get’ how so many take a murderous, slave-trading, beheading, wife-beating, Jew-hating warlord as their ‘perfect example’ to emulate and how they can take seriously as their code of morality a book so filled with hatred and violence.

I can’t understand why our politicians are fawning and dancing with this satanic cult and leading our societies to destruction and how most of our populations seem to have little concern that this cancer is being happily injected into our naive bodies.

Islam’s “sacred texts”? Is the devil “sacred”? Why do people refer to the quran as “sacred”? “Sacred” has to do with God, therefore the quran is anything but sacred since the entire text was dictated to Muhammad by gabriel who was satan merely appearing to be gabriel.

Islam is evil at its core. The quran is the word of satan and muhammad is satan’s prophet. satan set himself up as allah, therefore allah is NOT God, but in reality allah is satan.

Therefore Islam is the religion set up by the devil as his own religion. Satan set it up for people to worship HIM, not the real God. We know this is true since Islam has all the attributes of satan.

Bill, Islam is a TRIBAL RELIGION from Arabia which conflated the various deities of the tribes of the 7th and 8th centuries to entice them into Islam. Islam borrowed heavily and plagiarized from the sacred texts that Muslim invaders found in Syria and Iraq.

        Hi Mortimer,

Muhammad is Lucifer’s prophet. It has to do with good vs evil, the power of light vs the power of darkness, God vs Satan, Christ vs Lucifer, the light of Christ vs the darkness of evil which is Islam.

The only reason there still is an archbishop in Iraq is because of Saddam Hussein. Because he kept the islamists under control and allowed some kind of religious tolerance. Which is now completely gone.

So, thank you very much George W. and the neocons for “removing” Saddam and turning the country into Afghanistan 2.0! Talibans, warlords and loads of radicals running the country soon! And running all other faiths and cultures OUT of the country in (few) years to come!
