An Open Letter to Bishop Joseph Bambera, Chairman of the USCCB’s Committee for Interreligious Affairs
Your Excellency,
You are to be commended for your December 29th statement asking Catholics to pray for “our Coptic brethren who are enduring martyrdom for the sake of Christ.” Catholics need to know the extent of the attacks on Christians in the Muslim world. As you point out, there have been 2,000 attacks on Coptic Christians in Egypt in just the last three years. These have included several horrific church bombings and the slaughter of 35 Christians who refused to convert to Islam when their buses were ambushed by Islamic gunmen.
Deadly anti-Christian attacks have become commonplace in the Muslim world. Catholics need to know about them, and they also need to know the “why” of these attacks. There will be no end of the bloodshed unless we understand why it’s happening.
On this point, the USCCB has been remiss. Numerous USCCB statements over the last 17 years have, in effect, absolved Islam of the crimes committed in the name of Islam. Instead of naming the religious ideology that motivates the terrorists, Church officials have been content to echo the mantra that terrorism has nothing to do with Islam.
Meanwhile, in the face of the Islam-inspired genocide of Christians, the USCCB has joined up with the problematic campaign against “Islamophobia.” This strikes me as a grotesque inversion of priorities. At a time when Christians need to be alerted to the dangers posed by the spread of Islam, why are bishops throwing themselves into the Muslim Brotherhood-manufactured battle against “Islamophobia”?
I put “Islamophobia” in quotes because a phobia is an irrational fear. But many people—including Christians living in Egypt—have good reason to be afraid. It does a disservice to them to say that their fears are baseless. Or to say that they have nothing to fear from authentic Islam.
Your own statement mentions various bloody terrorist attacks in Egypt, but the words “Islam” and “Islamic” do not appear in it. By contrast, an article in Coptic Solidarity states that “Islamic oppression” is the main driving force of persecution. Is the Coptic fear of Islamic oppression “Islamophobic”? Or is it a perfectly rational fear?
Your statement calls attention to terror attacks in Egypt. It’s important that Christians know about them. At the same time, a singular focus on atrocities can be misleading. It tends to feed into the PC narrative that the threat to Christians is limited to a handful of extremists. But there is a much bigger problem to contend with—namely, a widespread, daily, and unrelenting persecution of Christians which includes discrimination, intimidation, rapes, abductions, forced conversions and the destruction of Christian homes and churches. According to the Coptic Solidarity article, this persecution comes from every level of Egyptian society, and includes Muslim clerics, local officials, “normal citizens,” and one’s own family (in the case of Muslim converts to Christianity).
The widespread persecution of Christians that exists in Egypt can also be found in almost every Muslim majority society—in Pakistan, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Sudan, Indonesia, and elsewhere. The pervasive nature of the persecution in Islamic countries suggests that it does not stem from any distortion of Islam, but rather from the core texts and teachings of mainstream Islam itself.
Which raises a question. Could it be that all these Muslims in diverse parts of the world have misinterpreted Islam? Or is it more likely that the real misunderstanders are Catholic prelates who, though well-intentioned, have no lived experience of Islam?
Various USCCB statements over the years present Islam as a religion of peace and justice—a religion not unlike Catholicism. Indeed, one keynote address to a USCCB-sponsored Muslim-Catholic dialogue was titled “Living our faith together”—as though Muslims and Catholics share a common faith. But, of course, they don’t. The idea that they do is not based on the texts, teachings, law books, and history of Islam, but on wishful thinking.
This is not to suggest that Catholic leaders should attack Islam, but that they should provide Catholics with a more realistic picture of the Islamic faith. The current policy of glossing over the problematic aspects of Islam is highly misleading, and it has several harmful consequences. Let’s focus on just one of them.
If Church leaders continue to downplay and even deny the supremacist aspect of Islam, many Catholics will be unprepared for the kind of aggression now endured by Christians in Egypt, and elsewhere.
This aggressively anti-Western culture—let’s call it “Egypt” for short—has already entered Europe. What now appears to be an Islamic invasion was enabled by naïve immigration policies based on the same uncritical view of Islam embraced by the USCCB. Like Egyptian Christians, Europeans must now worry about being attacked at any time or place—on buses, trains, in concert halls, and Christmas markets.
Europeans were also unprepared for the cultural aspect of the invasion. It was naively assumed that Muslims would assimilate to Western values. Instead, Europeans are being forced to accommodate themselves to Islamic values—to polygamy, misogyny, honor violence, and FGM. And also to anti-Semitism. Jews are now fleeing Europe in numbers not seen since the Nazi era.
Europeans are losing their civilization not because they are “Islamophobic,” but because they were ignorant of Islam. They obediently accepted the smiley-faced depiction of Islam presented to them by social and governmental elites, and now they are paying the price.
Will “Egypt” come to America? It’s a possibility that the USCCB should contemplate. America’s bishops have been guilty of promoting the same pleasant picture of Islam and Islamic immigration that has thrown Europe into chaos. That approach hasn’t worked there. Why suppose it will work here?
It seems reckless to continue along that path. For the sake of Christians all over the world, America’s bishops need to rediscover the Catholic tradition of realism, and reconsider their Islam policy. It’s not too late for a course correction.
Respectfully yours in Christ,
William Kilpatrick, Ph.D

My synopsis and SHORT VERSION of this LETTER by William Kilpatrick :
Dear Bishop Bambera … IT’S THE IDEOLOGY, STUPID!
JawsV says
Mort, it’s the RELIGION, Stupid! Islam is a religion. A BAD religion. Very, VERY BAD religion.
Bear says
Islam is not a religion- it is a totalitarian fascist ideology cloaked in ‘religionism’ in order to divert and disguise itself from the ignorant masses. Belief in the one TRUE God is also not ‘religion’; it is spirituality because man is made with a spirit so he can commune with his Creator.
Tony Holland says
islam is NOT a religion it is a medieval cult a total adherence to the rigid sharia lifestyle which allows no deviation from its strict boundaries it will not tolerate apostasy and constantly practices expansionism, it carries no desire to integrate with any other social class,not even amongst other branches of islam.This ideology is all consuming and those in positions of influence in Western society had better take their collective heads out the sand and realise the extreme danger our inaction is fermenting,there will come a tipping point beyond which we will be permanently on the backfoot and “they” will have assumed power in all the important decision making positions in our government,judiciary,police forces and military,then its goodbye western society.WE MUST VOTE OUT THE APPEASERS and vote in the fringe parties who are in tune with the opinions and fears on the “street”,this imminent danger requires courage and common sense from the great British public.
JawsV says
Tony, Islam is a religion. A BAD religion. Robert Spencer considers Islam to be a religion. Since you are on his site why not ask him why Islam is a religion? The word “religion” doesn’t automatically mean “good.”
LeftisruiningCanada says
Tony, how are you defining “Religion”?
JawsV is right. islam is a religion, just a bad one.
JawsV says
OK Bear, tell that to Robert Spencer, whose site you are on. RS says Islam’s a religion. I trust Robert Spencer on anything he says about Islam. There are bad religions. Islam is the apex of BAD religions.
Noel says
Yes, Conservatives, Islam Is a Religion
https://www.theobjectivestandard.com/2015/06/yes-conservatives-islam-is-a-religion/
In a futile effort to make headway in the cultural war against the evil known as Islam, some conservatives claim that Islam is not a religion.* This claim is dangerously false.
Of course, Islam is not a “religion of peace,” and everyone knows this, including those who claim otherwise. But the idea that Islam is not a religion at all is absurd.
Islam has all of the essential characteristics of a religion. It has a metaphysics of “God”: the idea that there is an all-powerful, all-knowing, all-good being who is the creator of the universe, the source of all truth, and the maker of moral law. It has an epistemology of faith: the idea that knowledge can be acquired by accepting ideas as true when there is no evidence in support of them. It has a moral code that follows from those basic characteristics: the idea that being moral consists in having faith in God’s existence and obeying his will. And it has a politics that follows from all of that: the idea that the only legitimate laws are those set forth or sanctioned by God.
If Westerners want to win the cultural war against Islam, we must accurately identify Islam for what it is. It’s a religion.
Champ says
I agree with those stating that islam is a religion, but I consider it a false religion because muslims follow a false prophet and a false god, allah. I also agree with what Bear added …
Bear wrote:
“Belief in the one TRUE God is also not ‘religion’; it is spirituality because man is made with a spirit so he can commune with his Creator.”
All religions follow some sort of ideology–even Christians, like myself. So islam is both an ideology and a religion–but it’s a bad, false, evil death cult, religion-from-hell.
J D S says
Arguing that Islam is or is not a religion is pointless…….
WHAT ISLAM IS NOT….Is a God based religion…and that is the rest of the story. and that makes the difference.
mousey says
if you’re western and you think of islam as a religion the way you’re used to thinking about religions, you’re making a mistake. Islam includes the government…tons of laws that rule your every minute…and to a westerner system is more than religion.
JawsV says
Sorry J D S but it’s very important to determine whether Islam is a religion. And yes it is a God-based religion. The Moslems consider Allah to be God. Just their belief in Allah alone makes Islam a religion unlike, say, the God-less ideologies of Fascism and Nazism. Then, after examining the content of the Quran, which calls for killing others, Islam should be labeled once and for all a BAD religion and not permitted into our “Infidel” country.
UNCLE VLADDI says
Most of the NT is written by Psaul, who was a proto-Muhammad.
Always turn the other cheek; Vengeance is the Lord’s alone; Love your enemy; Judge not – ever; and my own favorite: Resist ye not evil men!
Useless Pity (aka mercy; compassion; forgiveness) is the highest of Christian virtues, while useful anger (aka “Hate!”) is the most vile sin.
Conclusion:
Christianity is a form of slave-making thought-control much like islam.

Nonsense.
dumbledoresarmy says
“Most of the New Testament is written by Psaul [sic]”.
NONSENSE.
Scholars who have studied the New Testament would fall about laughing at this sort of statement.
Last I heard, the four canonical Gospels – which I have read in the original Koine Greek – were NOT written by Paul. And they make up a very substantial chunk of the NT, and they have a major role in shaping Christian devotion and practice.
There are also the letters of John – very important; of James; and of Peter. None of which have *ever* been claimed to have been ‘written by Paul’.
BTW your view of Paul is an absolute and indeed slanderous caricature.
Champ says
UV wrote:
“Christianity is a form of slave-making thought-control much like islam.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You’re entitled to your ignorant, wrongheaded, negative point of view about Christianity, but your remarks are COMPLETELY ill-conceived and off the mark–since this is NOT the truth about Jesus Christ–the One whom Christians follow and LOVE.
Simply put, your ignorant remarks do not align with the word of God, so you obviously don’t read the Bible. Also, your false statement has NOT been my **experience** with our precious, LOVING LORD, and Savior, Jesus Christ!
For your convenience, here’s what the Bible says about Jesus and His message of the Good News …
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free,” — Luke 4:18
Now this is what’s TRUE about Jesus, and this has been my own personal experience, as well!
Hope a little Bible knowledge adjusts your wrongheaded point of view. But I kinda doubt it. Your choice.
LeftisruiningCanada says
UNCLEVLADDI,
“Most of the NT is written by Psaul, who was a proto-Muhammad.”
This is not true. Paul wrote 13 ‘books’ out of 27. It may be 14 if Hebrews was by him.
That might at first seem to confirm what you said, since that’s around 50% of the NT.
However, due to the shortness of many of Paul’s letters, he is only responsible for around 25% of the text of the NT, 28% if Hebrews is included. Luke wrote 27% and John 20%.
What you might mean with your “proto-mohammad” line is not completely clear. Paul was nothing like mohammad, nor seems to have exhibited any fledgling traits which suggest he could have become such.
If you are referring to Paul’s beliefs on certain issues (homosexuality, female roles within the Church, marriage etc), then still, there’s no comparison. There are no death threats, no changes of doctrine to suit his own desires, no stealing or sexual perversion or slave taking or battles or torture and so on and so on…..
What did you mean?
“Always turn the other cheek; Vengeance is the Lord’s alone; Love your enemy; Judge not – ever; and my own favorite: Resist ye not evil men!”
You refer, inaccurately, to several parts of the sermon on the mount (Matt and Luke) plus Deut 32:35 (quoted in Romans and Hebrews).
It is easy to look up these verses in context, and also to consult the many good commentaries available, so i’m not going to take up much space here by trying to explain them each to you. Biblehub.com is a good place to start for commentary, and gotquestions.org is helpful for finding some grounding, or at least a point to start approaching Biblical subjects with some kind of reliable perspective.
It is enough to say that you have misunderstood them, both from their own context within the broad spread of Scripture and their place in the history of how Christians have understood them.
There is no need for a Christian to be a pacifist who does nothing to protect his family, home or self.
“Useless Pity (aka mercy; compassion; forgiveness) is the highest of Christian virtues, while useful anger (aka “Hate!”) is the most vile sin.”
Pretty inaccurate on both point there UV. Christians are to forgive others of course, since we have been forgiven so very much ourselves. But why this is “useless”, or makes us weak in the face of an aggressive enemy is not clear.
Useful anger, by which i mean anger that is caused by something genuinely evil, is not condemned. Being angry at ones brother ‘without a cause’, or being a person given to anger in general, is condemned, but that’s different. Hatred in it’s proper place is also not condemned. The Bible explains all this stuff UV….
“Conclusion: Christianity is a form of slave-making thought-control much like islam.”
I can see why some might see it like that, since they may believe that they are more capable of creating their own morality than the creator of the universe. From that perspective, especially when supported by such a misunderstanding of the Bible as has been displayed in your short comment, it might seem that Christians are being ‘enslaved’ by a Biblical morality.
In truth though, Christianity as experienced by those who have been regenerated by the Spirit is the most freeing of things.
What is it exactly that you think makes Christians slaves?
Islam certainly enslaves though, that much we can agree on.
Noel says
J D S – Have you thought this out properly? You say that Islam is not a God-based religion. Have you heard of Allah?
William Kilpatrick is excellent. The letter puts into sharp perspective what is going on in Egypt, in the Islamic world, and now in Europe. Very disturbing. But a message that needs to get out there much more.
MFritz says
As long as the church itself goes along the line to appease and submit to islam there will be no improvement. And the catholic church for example is clearly trying to follow the line of political correctness first and foremost.
And consequently ignores what happens in Egypt Or EVERY OTHER MUSLIM COUNTRY. Each day. Every day.
sidney penny says
“America’s bishops have been guilty of promoting the same pleasant picture of Islam and Islamic immigration that has thrown Europe into chaos. ”
The Catholics make money out of it.
StellaSaidSo says
The churches received an enormous amount of UN money, ostensibly for their assistance in resettling ‘refugees’. The primary reason for the largesse, however, was to stifle criticism.
Michael Copeland says
Church and Jewish charities are being used as vehicles for “resettlement” in order to give a charitable glow to what is, in fact, Assisted Invasion. These “charitable” bodies are PAID CONTRACTORS. They have accepted money to help to plant “seed communities” of muslims. The muslim communities are instructed in the mosques NOT to integrate, but to remain separate. As they themselves announce, they have come to take over.
Look at Europe.
StellaSaidSo says
Exactly, Michael Copeland. The ‘resettlement’ money could have gone to governments (plenty of $$ have done so), but giving it to the churches was a masterstroke, guaranteeing co-operation at the local level, while simultaneously neutralising criticism. Church members who express concerns are ostracised by the virtue-signalling majority.
WPM says
It is both Catholics and main stream Protestant ,and reform Jews in the West that think “interfaith meeting” will solve the” Islamic problem” of their flocks fearing the Moslems. How much government money is being shoved there way to these churches for welcoming these “refugees” we the public will never know. Islam is more like Nazis or Stalin Communist in how they operate in taking over communities stripping them of their culture ,repressing the practices of all faiths but Islam. The trouble in the West is by leftist MSM have lost their faith , pride, the idea of Western culture. There is a vacuum in peoples lives that they should not follow the ways of their ancestors .Not everything done years ago was right ,not every culture was perfect ,you should not throw out the baby with the bath water. The Golden rule, the rules of law, common English law, free speech, debating what is right, logic, rational though, true tolerance . True tolerance is not accepting Islam in it true form. we do not accept the KKK ,or Nazis, do they exist today yes do the churches have interfaith meetings with these groups no. Why because the are against the churches in all they follow ,their mission is to destroy the other faiths and replace them. We should fear followers of Nazism ,we should fear followers of true Islam ,in the interest of self preservation .
LeftisruiningCanada says
“It is both Catholics and main stream Protestant ,and reform Jews in the West that think “interfaith meeting” will solve the” Islamic problem” of their flocks fearing the Moslems.”
Members of these bodies are still people living within Western societies, and as such are influenced by the exact same leftist ideas that are guiding most of the secular politics we see ruining things in general.
The church and synagogue goers who support islam in their spiritual lives are very probably the same ones supporting it by vote in their political lives.
VHE says
The author exhibits the same kind of myopic tribalism that religion engenders. Why limit the narrative to oppressed Christians? Muslims are not gentler with atheists, agnostics and any other religion/ideology you can name.
StellaSaidSo says
‘Muslims are not gentler with atheists, agnostics, and any other…’
True, but Kilpatrick is writing as a Catholic to a Catholic about an issue which should be of prime concern especially to Catholics and to Christians in general – the persecution and genocide of Christians at the hands of Muslims, and the failure of the church to confront the truth about Islam.
LeftisruiningCanada says
It is a letter concerning the Coptic Christians in Egypt not an open letter about the evils of islam in general, although the last several paragraphs do widen the scope of Mr Kirkpatrick’s concern.
Are there many atheists being persecuted in Egypt, i wonder?
LeftisruiningCanada says
“Kilpatrick”, obviously.
eduardo odraude says
I just bought Kilpatrick’s Christianity, Islam, and Atheism. A book about the gravity of the threat Islam represents to Western civilization and about how to defeat that grave threat. I just finished reading the introduction and first chapter, and they were powerful.
Westman says
“Europeans are losing their civilization not because they are “Islamophobic,” but because they were ignorant of Islam. They obediently accepted the smiley-faced depiction of Islam presented to them by social and governmental elites, and now they are paying the price.”
The Swedes are catching on but frightened to say anything direct because it could cost them everything under the law – a system of law which also won’t protect them from losing their jobs due to public pressure. If asked about Islamic immigration or Islam they refuse to answer yet will infer it obliquely by saying the the problem is non-integration.
Of course, the solution to stop more non-integration is to stop immigration. And the solution for the rape and harassment epidemic is for Sweden’s men to “man-up”, ignore the elites, and form bodyguard groups, on call, to accompany women. The governing elites never tell the citizens of their hidden agendas, and there is no reason why the populace should inform the elites of theirs.
Yes,it is all about ignorance of islam…by the Whited Sepulchres of the Church Administrators of the Catholic Church run by the heretical francis and his Opus Dei mafia(the parallel church,the personal prelature that answers directly to….francis…who has happily promoted its members:Opus Dei is a luciferian Joke to those who know that Opus Dei actually serves 2 gods,one of which is mammon)
At least for those who have ” eyes to see and ears to hear” within the RCC it is no surprise that Rome appears to have abandoned the faith under the Chief Dhimmi francis.
Catholics have KNOWN about this(see Fatima 1917,Paul VIs “smoke of satan”,St Francis of Assisi’s prophecy of a false shepherd..)for quite a while and so it comes as no surprise that the RCC hierarchy are happily betraying Jesus Christ.
I suggest the Cardinals and Bishops take seriously the Gospel warnings note Matthew 7 v 21-23.
Indeed,apart from being a heretic,francis has boasted of his great love of islam(as fraudulent as his carefully scripted,well-photographed Loving the Poor routine. whilst living in a fabulous mansion and not getting the irony of that..)
*Since francis has not retracted his heretical teachings that the islamic allah is the same as the Christian God he has PROVEN himself to be a heretic.In fact he should resign!
The koran curses Christians k9:30,utterly denies Christ k5:72,k 5:17,dismisses the Trinity k4:171 (and therefore the Holy Spirit through which ALL genuine scripture and prophecy from God comes from!!)it is OBVIOUS that the ..
islamic allah is NOT the Biblical God.
Any competent Theologian would know that:the Jesuits spend years studying the subject,for God’s sake.
Mr Bergoglio’s promotion of this great heresy is a scandal to Catholics and Christians(but it comes as no surprise to those familiar with Catholic Prophecy)
Dr. William has done us a great favor by portraying Islam just as it is : a most dangerous ideology that, having destroyed Christianity in the Middle East and parts of Africa and Asia, it has now invaded and penetrated Europe (and parts of America). And unless politicians, academics and others wake up immediately, European civilization will go out of existence. God help us in this era of political correctness, multiculturalism and ignorance of Islam, along with the threats of atheism , aggressive secularism and anti-Christian discrimination. Your posts are not restricted, as i have told you several times over the last few months.
Sometimes the site seems to have difficulties with long comments or those that contain URLs.
Sometimes it just has times when it won’t let you post. I’ve had this happen to me.
If you are making a longer reply, it’s best to copy it before clicking the post button, and just keep trying.
It can be frustrating i know, but it will let you post.
@Ibrahim itace muhammed – You haven’t read the Koran, have you? If you had, you would know that you are defending a book full of hate and slaughter. It tells Muslims to kill non-Muslims. That’s a lot of killing. Please read the book. Our foolish World Leaders haven’t read it either – that’s why they can say it’s a religion of peace, simply because US president Bush said so. He hadn’t read the book either.
Ibrahim itace muhammed says
Noël, this your statement also show you don’t understand the Quran,you have misinformed. Quran never asks muslims to kill any how. There is jîhad fighting with conditions and rules governing. study the scholarly analysis on it to know the truth about It.
LeftisruiningCanada says
We both know that the ‘rules’, and the ahadith surrounding those ‘rules’, are so broad that it’s hard to find a situation where murdering kuffar isn’t allowed.
I have studied. I read several different translations
of the Koran starting with Picthal —but moving on to
a few other like Yusuf ali with lots of commentary.
I have spoken by scores of muslims over the past
50 years on religion. —scores of non muslims from
muslim countries or countries with lots of muslims like
India, been to mosques, and my hubby was born a
dhimmi—–what did I miss Mr Muhummad??? My
conclusion is —-islam is violent, advocates violence,
lauds violence and produces violent adherents
Leftruinigcanada, you still insist that evil Isis holding perverted and narrow interpretations are right. we are saying, according accepted and correct interpretations of Islamic sources ,life, whether that of muslim or non-muslim, is sacred. It could only be terminated under exceptional circumstances like where It warrants that jîhad in the form of military confrontation has to be resorted to. such circumstances, according to muslims scholars, are where muslims are attacked or where muslims or non-muslims are oppressed or where there is à breach of peace treaty. Even under these circumstances rules of engagement have to observed not harm non-combatant civilian population and Jews and Christian priests or torching their places of worship as prophet muhammad explained. so, it is not random killings of no-muslims as Isis has been doing.
ï hope you get me.
Thank you.
StellaSaidSo says
Read your Koran, Ibrahim. Life is anything but sacred in Islam. Especially kuffar life.
Indeed, ISIS is evil. It is also pure, unadulterated, unembroidered Islam. If ISIS were not Islamic, it would have been denounced by Al-Azhar.
‘Rules of engagement’? What a joke. Islam has only one ‘rule of engagement’ – if it advantages Islam, anything goes. 1400 years of bloody conquest, oppression and destruction bear that out.
Stop trying to deceive us. We know your history better than you do.
Thank you Ibrahim, for an interesting and respectful comment.
I don’t think it’s only isis that believes in islam as i, and most other people here, see it being taught and practiced. Anyone connected to the muslim brotherhood believes islam is that way too, as do muslim teachers, preachers, conference speakers and jihad screechers going far back in time and space,
I don’t see the sanctity of life much emphasized in the koran or the life of mohammad. Please show me where you see it.
” such circumstances, according to muslims scholars, are where muslims are attacked or where muslims or non-muslims are oppressed or where there is à breach of peace treaty”
Sure, but how are these thing defined? What counts as an ‘attack’ ‘oppression’ or ‘non combatant’?
I see very inclusive definitions of these terms being used, and not just by isis.
I don’t think it is random killing, and don’t place all that much importance on what isis does/was doing.
I’m very willing to read anything you want to provide to support your contention that islam is not like it is being portrayed by so many of your brothers.
Thanks again.
Ibrahim itace muhammed says
Leftruinigcanada, abundant literature is available on jihad subject area in Arabic. since you cannot follow thé scholarly debate in Arabic, you read à book on it in English :Islamic Law of war and peace, by Hamidullah.
LeftisruiningCanada says
Ok, i’ll see if i can find that online.
But let’s keep in mind that even if some islamic writers are able to construct an islam that is the way you describe it, don’t you think it’s interesting that your source materials (koran, ahadith, sunna) are fully able to be used to make the kind of islam that isis prefers?
What makes your version more accurate?
As a Christian i only have to look at the life of Jesus Christ to see that murder, thievery, and sex slaves are not part of His teachings.
If you look at the life of mohammad, as all muslims do, don’t you think it’s possible to get the idea that all those things are ok?
LeftisruiningCanada says
And Ibrahim, please consider that for all your complaints that we don’t understand islam, you sure don’t do much to be a shining light of truth and compassionate out reach to us poor ignorant kuffar.
I much prefer the ibrahim that posts like you have done with me here, than the mindless ranting ‘devil mithra blah blah’ Ibrahim who adds nothing to the conversation but more contempt for islam.
Please consider.
got you—–you are misrepresenting the islam to which
Christians and Jews have been subjected for more than
1000 years and hindus and Buddhists ALSO for more than
1000 years——Sikhs not so long Hundreds of millions murdered
and hundreds of millions who TODAY carry a family legacy
of abuse. The people who DO NOT know islam is what
muslims like to call “the western world”——the west is
learning. Islam is violent, exploitive and genocidal. NOT
ATTACK? Shariah and the perversity of dhimmia IS ATTACK.
ISIS is nothing more or less than the “CALIPHATE” thing that
was developed by the close followers of the person you call
“prophet” They blamed him for the atrocity—-I am not sure
