Al-Sadoon said: “It was all about money – people exaggerating sometimes what they see.’ He blamed the British legal system ‘for making it so easy.'”
Indeed. British authorities, primed with endless victimhood posturing by Muslims in Britain, were ready and willing to see British troops in Iraq as abusive, racist, “Islamophobic” louts, and eager to pay for such stories.
This is why we see so many “anti-Muslim hate crimes” faked by Muslims in the U.S. and the West in general: becoming a victim brings one laudatory press attention, and in many cases money and special favors. “It was a racket, all of it” indeed.
“‘It was a racket, all of it’: Iraqi refugee admits faking hundreds of compensation claims against British troops while working for man paid £1.6m by law firm,” by Miles Dilworth, Daily Mail, February 14, 2018 (thanks to David):
An Iraqi refugee has admitted arranging hundreds of fake abuse claims against British soldiers in Iraq.
Basim Al-Sadoon, 37, said the racket he was involved in was aimed at winning payouts from the Ministry of Defence.
Mr Al-Sadoon ran an office in Basra where he handled accusations made by locals against the British Army.
He said clients exaggerated claims, produced bogus paperwork and falsely accused soldiers of wrongdoing.
‘It was a racket, all of it,’ he told The Sun. ‘All these people cared about was money. It was like a claims factory and it didn’t matter if the claims were true or false.’
Mr Al-Sadoon was hired by UK-based Iraqi Mazin Younis. Mr Younis, 59, was paid £1.6million in 2009 for passing clients to UK law firm Leigh Day. He also received £500 from disgraced lawyer Phil Shiner for every claimant he secured.
Mr Al-Sadoon said he helped to find more than 300 clients.
He said: ‘It was all about money – people exaggerating sometimes what they see.’
He blamed the British legal system ‘for making it so easy’.
Leigh Day denied wrongdoing and said the firm had no knowledge of the scheme and pledged to take action if claims were found to be without merit.
Mr Al-Sadoon said many clients obtained forged documents from Iraqi officials. He said: ‘People were bringing papers randomly – there were no specific standards to accept cases. You can collect some case elements.
‘After that you start your story. If you have an old spot on your body from old torture, you can use it as evidence against MoD.
‘If you get a slap in the face, you can say it was a stick or a gun. If you have been jailed for 24 hours you’ll say they put me in a very bad place – I have psychiatric problems. In Iraq it’s easy to get doctors’ papers backing claims.
‘Doctors for cash can give you many reports. Claims were exaggerated to make money.’
Mr Al-Sadoon, who lives in Denmark, lodged his own fake claim against British soldiers through Leigh Day. He said he would now withdraw the case.
Mr Younis has denied wrongdoing. He told The Sun: ‘These allegations are false. Iraqi claimants who came via Mr Al-Sadoon were referred to Leigh Day if they had supporting evidence….

This whole incident really riles me to no end. In 2008 I landed at the Basra airport where as soon as I reached a vehicle that had been left in a parking lot and just ready to drive the American PRT, the sky was alit with the Phalanx anti-missile defense taking out the incoming barrage. I counted more than ten explosions over head and guess where the debris landed? The next day I was having doing a little shopping at the British Military Exchange (NAAFI) when a barrage came in. In the five minutes or so nine British soldiers were killed when one hit a maintenance facility about a half mile from the NAAFI. The smoke could be seen for quiet a ways off. My point is where is the outpour of sympathy for those brave souls who did not request to be there and for the British or any other (Mr. Trudeau) to give money to those trying to kill, and in many cases, succeeding is so onerous. It should be remembered also that the allied forces in Iraq benefitted the Sunnis more than anyone as Saddam had taken great pleasure in killing them on a frequent basis and even destroying their ability to produce agricultural products by salting and poisoning those sites. Also the British like the Italians and Americans were there to assist the local Basra government install communications’ infrastructure and other needs. So for any government to give money to those killing those who were not for conquest but simply to aid and make peoples’ lives better is reprehensible and should be ashamed.

“I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt” is a common refrain we hear/use in the West … simply because this notion, for millennia, has been part and parcel of our Judeo-Christian heritage. Sometimes, such is justifiable self-advice; while, at other times, it is found to be just a big embarrassing mistake.
In Eastern [read: death cult mohuammedan] culture there is NO SUCH NOTION; where, in fact, the opposite is true: one ASSUMES that everyone else is lying and it is your obligation, in the interest of your self-preservation, to do the same right back at them … and that, they, in turn, know that you are lying back at them. [Humanity: you can’t make this stuff up!]
This sounds down-right weird to most Westerners; although in my ME and far east professional career the understanding, and, appreciation of this notion, were words to live, and survive, by. Further, it is my hypothesis — that is, my working social model — that this is what is happening in the large portion of West and East social relationships — as are being realized, due to the recent years of invasion, to a MUCH GREATER degree HERE on our home soil — and this is a large part of why we Westerners let ourselves be fooled, and fooled repeatedly, and often grossly.
The story presented above could be prosecution’s Exhibit-A.
This continuing grand deception is exacerbated by the fact — actually, my impression — that way too many Westerners are self-loathing to a fault. [sarcasm intended]
Fool me once and shame on you; fool me twice …. so our saying goes. [Such does not work with West-East relationships because, once Easterners know that they can fool you, for you, for all time hence, they will have nothing but complete and utter contempt. Not very “Christian” of them, is it? No, and it is NOT meant to be!]

It’s always much easier and far less personally risky to virtue-signal one’s PITY for all alleged criminals as helpless “fellow victims” than it is to expose one’s self to harm by invoking righteous ANGER to accuse them of their crimes – so Western beta-cucks have adopted this “innocent until never proven guilty” stance in regards to the truly dangerous, obvious threats, while simultaneously choosing to attack those people who are no threat to them, who are merely warning them about the criminals’ threats, as they real criminals!
And like all criminals who are negligent to their responsibility to not lie to others, they play dumb to avoid being caught weaseling out! It’s simply victim-blaming, hypocritical cowardice 101!
