A group of 100 French intellectuals has just published in the newspaper Le Figaro (March 19, 2018), its denunciation of Islamic totalitarianism. Among the signatories are some of the most distinguished historians, philosophers, professors, jurists, and journalists, in France, known to all, and representing political leanings from Left to Right. Among them are some ex-Muslims. Not a group easy to dismiss.
The following is a translation of their statement made by Leslie Shaw, a contributor to the Clarion Project:
We are citizens of differing and often diametrically opposed views, who have found agreement in expressing our concern in the face of the rise of Islamism. We are united not by our affinities, but by the feeling of danger that threatens freedom in general and not just freedom of thought.
That which unites us today is more fundamental than that which will undoubtedly separate us tomorrow.
Islamist totalitarianism seeks to gain ground by every means possible and to represent itself as a victim of intolerance. This strategy was demonstrated some weeks ago when the SUD Education 93 teachers union proposed a training course that included workshops on state racism from which white people were barred.
Several of the facilitators were members or sympathizers of the CCIF (French Collective Against Islamophobia) or the Natives of the Republic party. Such examples have proliferated recently. We have thus learned that the best way to combat racism is to separate races. If this idea shocks us, it is because we are Republicans.
We also hear it said that because religions in France are trampled on by an institutionalized secularism, everything that is in a minority — in other words Islam — must be accorded a special place so that it can cease to be humiliated.
This same argument continues by asserting that in covering themselves with a hijab, women are protecting themselves from men and that keeping themselves apart is a means to emancipation.
What these proclamations have in common is the idea that the only way to defend the “dominated” (the term is that of SUD Education 93) is to set them apart and grant them privileges.
Not so long ago, apartheid reigned in South Africa. Based on the segregation of blacks, it sought to exonerate itself by creating bantustans (territories set aside for black South Africans) where blacks were granted false autonomy. Fortunately this system no longer exists.
Today, a new kind of apartheid is emerging in France, a segregation in reverse thanks to which the “dominated” seek to retain their dignity by sheltering themselves from the “dominators.”
But does this mean that a woman who casts off her hijab and goes out into the street becomes a potential victim? Does it mean that a “race” that mixes with others becomes humiliated? Does it mean that a religion that accepts being one among other religions loses face?
Does Islamism also seek to segregate French Muslims, whether believers or otherwise, who accept democracy and are willing to live with others? Who will decide for women who refuse to be locked away? As for others, who seemingly do not deserve to be protected, will they be held under lock and key in the camp of the “dominators”?
All of this runs counter to what has been done in France to guarantee civil peace. For centuries, the unity of the nation has been grounded in a detachment with respect to particularities that can be a source of conflict. What is known as Republican universalism does not consist in denying the existence of gender, race or religion but in defining civic space independently of them so that nobody feels excluded. How can one not see that secularism protects minority religions?
Jeopardizing secularism exposes us to a return to the wars of religion.
What purpose can this new sectarianism serve? Must it only allow the self-styled “dominated” to safeguard their purity by living amongst themselves? Is not its overall objective to assert secession from national unity, laws and mores? Is it not the expression of a real hatred towards our country and democracy?
For people to live according to the laws of their community or caste, in contempt of the laws of others, for people to be judged only by their own, is contrary to the spirit of the Republic. The French Republic was founded on the refusal to accept that private rights can be applied to specific categories of the population and on the abolition of privilege.
On the contrary, the Republic guarantees that the same law applies to each one of us. This is simply called justice.
This new separatism is advancing under concealment. It seeks to appear benign but is in reality a weapon of political and cultural conquest in the service of Islamism.
Islamism wants to set itself apart because it rejects others, including those Muslims who do not subscribe to its tenets. Islamism abhors democratic sovereignty, to which it refuses any kind of legitimacy. Islamism feels humiliated when it is not in a position of dominance.
Accepting this is out of the question. We want to live in a world where both sexes can look at each other with neither feeling insulted by the presence of the other. We want to live in a world where women are not deemed to be naturally inferior. We want to live in a world where people can live side by side without fearing each other. We want to live in a world where no religion lays down the law.

THIS IS A HUGE STEP in the fight against the infiltration and domination of our culture and politics by Islamists bent on the destruction of our way of life and the domination and subjugation of the west.
We need MORE leaders to stand up and say this in EVERY western country that is threatened by Islamization
Are you listening CANADA ?
Antony says
No, it’s islamismisation. Islam is fine, the article states so very clearly.
Carol (the 1st) says
Anthony…That’s not true. The article states no such thing. We all know that Islam/Islamism is inherently totalitarian and rests on far too feeble a framework if it abandons the pleasures of bullying others.
Alise Sabine says
No, I thought the same thing, the distinguishing between Islam and Islamism. We, as citizens who pay attention to what Islam’s agenda truly is, know there is no distinction but it seems the signers of the letter don’t know that with Islam comes sharia and the evil and intolerance that accompanies it.
Alexandre says
A word of explanation is in order regarding the translation. The recently invented English word “islamism”, is, as we know, designed with the specific purpose of rationalising and deflecting attention from rebarbative Islamic doctrines and practices by claiming that they represent an abhorrent departure from the putatively benign and peaceful religion named “islam”.
“L’islamisme”, on the other hand, has traditionally been used in France, simply to identify islam as a discrete religion. just as christianity, judaism, hinduism, sikhism and buddhism are rendered in French as le christianisme, le judaïsme, l’hindouisme, le sikhisme and le bouddhisme respectively. An entry in an old French dictionary of mine, published over half a century ago (i.e. well before the latter-day resurgence of islamic savagery) says that “islam” can also translate into French as “L’Islam”, but explains that this can refer either to the religion or to muslims as a group. It goes on to clear up the position by explaining that the expression “to go over [convert] to islam” translates into French as “embrasser l’islamisme”.
In light of the above, and as one fluent in French, I am personally convinced that these scholars were making no attempt to mollify their criticism by misusing vocabulary in the manner of the average english-speaking politician.
By way of an interesting end-note: in the dictionary referred to, the French words for all the religions mentioned begin with a lower case letter. Only the word for islam begins with a capital. Now how odd is that?!
Carol (the 1st) says
Alise…The signatories INTELLECTUALS of repute and undoubtedly have both knowledge and integrity. They know what they are doing and what they are dealing with and how to tread with appropriate caution and politesse. This is due to the law of diminishing returns.
I repeat: It is an outright falsehood for a poster (such as Antony) to claim (right out of the gate) that the declaration states “Islam is fine. The article states so very clearly.”
Eduardo O’Draude has an interesting post regarding this below.

French intellectuals have just declared war on Islam. It will now be intellectually respectable to CRITICIZE ISLAM as Robert Spencer has been doing. I predict Robert Spencer will soon be a hero in Europe and he will be more and more consulted on TV.
Frank Anderson says
Mortimer, we agree on so much that I ask to muse for a moment. CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, Bloomberg, did I leave anybody out? That’s 7 networks essentially full time for the liberal, globalist agenda, and Fox, fair and balanced, adds about another half through kowtowing to the “liberal” side. The 7 and a half to a half (mathematically 15 to 1 or 93.75 percent) makes television a poor place for people with sense to teach or learn. I look at the wasted wisdom of insightful people on Fox and wish for them, for us, and for the US better. Robert Spencer, John Bolton, Charles Krauthammer, Dick Morris and how many more should be regular sources to the White House and all departments and agencies of the government instead of casting pearls where they will do little good. Television may be another first step, but certainly not a destination or goal. Always with best wishes and hope that I will some day understand “absolute deprogramming” whether I agree or not.

It is signed with 32 prominent names.
Then the article in general is endorsed by over two hundred German professionals (I did not count them all).

Rest assured that this letter will have no impact on Canadians. Canada is a godless country. Every godless country has submitted to Islam. A godless nation has no defense against Islam. Why do think atheists vote for open borders. Thank about it. Shouldn’t atheists be the most anti-Muslim immigration advocates? But once you reject Jesus, your actions will not follow any logic or sense. Look how Canadians have completely embraced transgenderism. Canada is removing all urinals from public bathrooms because of it, thus wasting millions of gallons of water. Canada is Begium, France, Germany, the UK, etc.

Christian fundamentalism would unfortunately only add another monkey to the barrel. Islam should be a thorough discouragement against that ludicrous example. Since Christianity rests quite soundly on the Golden Rule and we shouldn’t feel any need to enshrine it in rigid myths and dogma.
gravenimage says
Ken, you are *much* mistaken. There are plenty of Atheists who are staunch Anti-Jihadists, including Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the late Christopher Hitchens, and Jihad Watch’s own Hugh Fitzgerald, as well as a great number of posters here.
Savvy Kafir says
That’s true. Virtually all of the left-wing critics of Islam that I know of are atheists or religious skeptics of some description — including myself. Some others include Pat Condell, Sam Harris. Richard Dawkins, Bill Maher, and Dave Rubin.
I’ve also encountered a few atheist counter-jihadis from the political right.
BC says
You fail to recognise that religion of whatever stripe is the whole problem. Your religion is not better than another one as you appear to think. I can also assure you as an atheist for half a century I do not support ‘open borders’ at all I think the so called ‘free movement of people’ in EU is a disaster and just allows criminals and terrorists to move around at will and conduct their activities. The free movement is in fact immoral as it attracts qualified people who should be building up their own countries to seek higher pay in more affluent ones. we are not one people as the EU bureaucrats want us to believe but a collection of separate countries with their own cultures and identities. Humanity got along without religions for hundreds of thousands of years. Where was ‘god’ or ‘allah’ then? Organised religion only gained power when civilisations were created. The history of all religions has little to be proud of.
gravenimage says
BC, even if you don’t believe in any faith–which is fine–*surely* you can’t believe that every faith is the same; and that Christianity and Judaism and Buddhism demand the enslavement and murder of all unbelievers as Islam does? Just a cursory glance shows that this is not the case.
As for open borders, your apparent belief that every religious person of whatever faith is for it, while every Atheist is not is *quite* mistaken. Foolish open border advocates tend to be religious or non-religious, as are those who believe in strong, defensible borders.
dumbledoresarmy says

J D S says
It’s great go see these “intellectuals” standing up for their country and we need more of that all over the west…But what I see missing from this is politicians and Christian ministers…I know there probably many among this number other than Christian but what this is all about, whether anyone will admit it or not, is the FACT that this is Muslim against every religion and government and political identity that doesn’t adhere to their ideology, which is political and religious combined..Now can we, many not just one country, get together and profess our “way” and state that ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. If Muslims want to live in country other than their country of origin, then they must assimilate or be forced out..and if they were born in the country that their family migrated to, then they are citizens and are subject to be traitors if they do not follow their country’s laws or be subject to them.
Does this make sense to anyone or am I just rambling. Your comments please..
Carol (the 1st) says
Makes perfect sense. Intellectuals ARE “the people” and open, coherent backing from them shows that it’s the politicians and organized religion that are increasingly “beyond the pale”. Meanwhile these EU creatures keep slinking along with no apologies and as low a profile as possible.
tim gallagher says
J D S, you make sense. I think it’s always great to see larger and larger numbers of people waking up to the true, evil nature of Islam and speaking up. That’s the key to everything in democracies. I’ve been frustrated for ages about how few people are waking up and speaking up. Small numbers can’t put enough pressure on our politicians to get our governments to do the right thing. The numbers who are awake have to reach a critical mass to get things done. When you say that Muslims must assimilate, I’d say, well, obviously they won’t. It’s them or us. Well, maybe small numbers will. They are always only about imposing barbaric Islam on all non-Muslims. So, keep them out and deport the ones we’ve been foolish enough to let in. Amongst the names on the list, people have mentioned Ibn Warraq. I sometimes wonder, well, who were the first people to wake up to Islam. I’m sure some people here at Jihad Watch would know the answer. Ibn Warraq’s book, “Why I am not a Muslim” dates from 1995 I think. I think the Rushdie affair may have had something to do with it. I think Bat Ye’or was another who was very early to wake up. You have to admire the people who woke up early on. I don’t mean people from way back like J Q Adams, Churchill, etc. Does anyone know of others? Carol( the 1st), I agree with what you say.
dumbledoresarmy says
Bat Yeor was awake in 1983, when she wrote “The Dhimmi: Jews and Christians Under islam”. Jacques Ellul befriended her; and he, too, ‘got’ what Islam was about, none better; all you have to do is read the preface on Jihad that he wrote for her later book, “The Decline of Eastern Christianity Under Islam”. He died in 1994, so the preface dates from the early 1990s.
Another person who ‘got’ Islam’s number, none better, is Conor Cruise O’Brien. He wrote a blazing essay at the time of the Salman Rushdie affair, and then in 1995 he wrote a *brilliant* essay called “The Lesson of Algeria: Islam is Indivisible”. Look it up. IT’s a classic. But on May 11, 1989, in The Times, he had already published an article that no-one would *dare* to print, nowadays.
Conor Cruise O’Brien, in “The Sick Man of the World”, London Times, 11 May 1989 –
“Muslim society looks profoundly repulsive…It looks profoundly repulsive because it *is* repulsive… A westerner who claims to admire Muslim society, whilst still adhering to Western values, is either a hypocrite or an ignoramus or a bit of both. At the heart of the matter is the Muslim family, an abominable institution”.
“ …Arab and Muslim society is sick, and has been sick for a long time.
“In the last century the Arab [sic] thinker Jamal al-Afghani wrote: “Every Muslim is sick, and his only remedy is in the Koran”. Unfortunately, the sickness gets worse, the more the remedy is taken”.
And before either of those, there was a man called A Carlebach, in Israel, who in the journal ‘Ma’ariv’, in October *1955*, wrote an essay that discussed the ruinous character of Islam.
“These Arab Islamic countries do not suffer from poverty, or disease, or illiteracy, or exploitation; they only suffer from the worst of all plagues: Islam. Wherever Islamic psychology rules, there is the inevitable rule of despotism and criminal aggression. The danger lies in Islamic psychology, which cannot integrate itself into the world of efficiency and progress, that lives in a world of illusion, perturbed by attacks of inferiority complexes and megalomania, lost in dreams of the holy sword. The danger stems from the totalitarian conception of the world, the passion for murder deeply rooted in their blood, from the lack of logic, the easily inflamed brains, the boasting, and above all: the blasphemous disregard for all that is sacred to the civilized world…their reactions — to anything — have nothing to do with good sense. They are all emotion, unbalanced, instantaneous, senseless. It is always the lunatic that speaks from their throat. You can talk ‘business’ with everyone, and even with the devil. But not with Allah…This is what every grain in this country shouts. There were many great cultures here, and invaders of all kinds. All of them — even the Crusaders — left signs of culture and blossoming. But on the path of Islam, even the trees have died.”
That was written in 1955.
Ray Jarman says

Carol (the 1st) says
dds…that A. Carelbach really nailed it back in 1955, didn’t he? How amazing that he was uninfluenced by the arch-villain Robert Spencer!
tim gallagher says
Thanks very much for that information, dumbledoresarmy. I think you have mentioned Conor Cruise O’Brien a couple of times. I’d forgotten him. And Carlebach way back in 1955. His words are amazing. That’s very early. Mind you, the weird thing is how all those wise people in the past were wide awake to Islam’s nature way back. People like Adams, Alexis de Tocqueville, Churchill and many others. What happened? People seemed to lose their critical faculties or something. It’s a mystery to me. I guess it was the arrival of political correctness. And look at how telling the truth these days is called “hate speech” and people are censored severely. It’s bizarre. Another person who woke up early that I just remembered was Samuel Huntington. I think his book about the clash of civilisations book was in the early 1990’s..
gravenimage says
Fine Post, Dumbledore’s Army.
dumbledoresarmy says
Post scriptum. These words from A Carlebach, in 1955, need to be communicated – over and over – to President Donald Trump, to dissuade him from entertaining *any* illusions about being able to engage in *any* kind of deal-making with *any* mohammedan entity of any kind at all.
“…They are all emotion, unbalanced, instantaneous, senseless. It is always the lunatic that speaks from their throat. You can talk ‘business’ with everyone, and even with the devil. But not with Allah…”
To repeat: “**You can talk ‘business’ with everyone, and even with the devil. But not with Allah…**”.
Remind the President of a pilot he used to have, who had worked for Gaddafi and discovered *just how* unhinged the Muslim mind is. Remind the President that this – ‘the lunatic’ – ‘unbalanced, instantaneous, senseless’ *is* – should be assumed to be – potential in every mohammedan. Precautionary principle.
Infidel countries – and not only countries, but *companies*… should *disengage*… slowly steadily carefully but, step by step and inexorably – from every kind of entanglement with the lands already wholly ruined by Islam. And should work – patiently, slowly, steadily but resolutely – toward *removing* and stymying all Muslim presence within the gates of lands where, historicall, Islam was never or only minimally present… as well as lands like Israel, Spain, Greece, Bulgaria, India, that were attacked and ruled and ruined by occupying invading Muslims but were, subsequently, *liberated* by the indigenous Infidels (though often with some outside assistance).
Muslims DO NOT and WILL NOT permanently or reliably keep ANY ‘deal’ made with an infidel person or group or nation or group of nations. *Not ever*. They *will* screw the infidel party over, at the first opportunity. They *will* breach the deal’.
President Donald Trump needs to abandon the grandiose idea of the ‘ultimate deal’, vis a vis the ummah. He must grasp that there can be NO ‘deal’ between Infidels and Muslims that is *any* benefit, in the long term, to the Infidel party. Muslims will take advantage, ruthlessly. They will bide their time, regroup, rearm, and treacherously attack. They will lie and spew BS. Donald Trump needs to make America great – strong – from the ground up, so that American can, when necessary, bring down a ten-tonne hammer on any part of the Ummah that offers any aggression toward the USA or any of its allies in the free world. The only thing that mohammedans respect and that causes them to back down is the ‘strong horse’; overwhelming force unapologetically wielded.
We should not waste words on nor make treaties with people whose defaulty is the Lie Direct, the Lie Indirect, and sheer brain-cramping madhattery/ bullsh*ttery.
‘Agreements’ – whether business deals or international ‘treaties’ or ‘peace treaties’ – between Infidels and Mohammedans are not worth spit; they are written on toilet paper in disappearing ink. India should give up on the ‘peace process’ with Pakistan; Israel should be encouraged and supported in abandoning the delusive ‘peace process’ with the local Arab Muslims; Thailand and the Philippines should be assisted to simply bring down the hammer on the local mohammedan jihad insurrections, and forget about any ‘peace process’ or ‘negotiations’, they are an absolute and utter waste of time. Hammer the jihadis, as Charles Martel “The Hammer” did back in the 8th century; that’s what works. Hammer, and keep hammering. And don’t overextend: consolidate infidel territory, free it of mohammedans, and prepare to resolutely fortify and defend the boundary, into the foreseeable future. If mohammedans look like getting weapons of mass destruction… bring down a really BIG hammer on the weapons project, pronto. The Iranian nuke project and Paki nuke arsenal will *have* to be dealt with, somehow, as soon as possible.

Actually, one of the names on the list is that of Alain Besancon, who is a Catholic scholar. He wrote the preface to a posthumous publication of three important pieces by Jacques Ellul, entitled “Islam et Judeo-Christianisme”.

Yes. Several of these French philosophers have been worth following since they have long written against the traditional French grain. That is, have written against totalitarianism.
You have noted Alain Besancon. I treasure his The Soviet Syndrome (1977), The Rise of the Gulag (1978), and A Century of Horrors (1998).
He is certainly one Frenchman who knows yet another totalitarian system when he sees it.
Tony Holland says
United Kingdom??
dumbledoresarmy says
Who knows? Perhaps this Declaration, published in France – and it appeared **on the front page** of a newspaper, Le Figaro – might prompt persons such as Douglas Murray to pipe up; to contact other persons that they know who are worrying about Islam and Islamisation, and come up with their *own* declaration. The more people band together, the better; it’s easy to dismiss one person, or to pick them off and threaten them; but *one hundred* people, or more, are harder for officialdom to ignore.
I am sure that, were he still alive, the late Christopher Hitchens would have been game to sign off on a similar Declaration for the UK.
In the case of the UK, what would be good would be for the ‘intellectual class’ critics of Islam – people like Douglas Murray – to **join forces** with the likes of Tommy Robinson, and pen a Declaration, or Denunciation. signed by scholars, journalists, etc… BUT said scholars, journalists, etc, would commit to something a bit more personal than publishing in the newspaper (imagine the fireworks if they put it on the front page of “The Times” and “The Daily Mail”); rather, they would invite *all* the resistance, notably Tommy Robinson and the thousands of ordinary folks who are worried, and frightened, and angry, to Speakers’ Corner, and there they would, together assembled, *read the declaration out loud in person*.
Even better – pass it around, for people to sign on the back of it… and then the lot to be presented – wheelbarrowloads of it – to Parliament, attached to a Petition for the Cessation of Muslim Immigration, for the Expulsion of All Foreign Muslims, and for the Rescinding of All Extraordinary Privileges that Have Hitherto Been Ceded to Muslims.
BC says
How can members of a religion that expressly forbids its followers to befriend those of other faiths or none, ever integrate, To do so would in fact be un Islamic and call for charges of apostasy from the rest of the communities. Their clerics regularly tell them not to befriend the infidels as they are sinful an dirty

I am confident that the vast majority of our Muslim compatriots will debunk the fallacies of these terrorists and do not consider that they act in their name.”
Roy is even worse, he doesn’t see Islam as a problem at all, not even as a salafist manifestation. It’s just a cover for radicalization itself.
The two men also hate each other, which is even more amusing. Almost a Moliere farce.

Even if imperfect, I am still glad to see these French people openly recognize that Islam presents a threat.
Guy Forester says
I think this is about 4 decades too late. What do you do to back this up and defend yourselves from the inevitable attacks? Verbal and otherwise. Good luck.
gravenimage says
I find this a good sign. You can preach surrender if you want, though.
Guy Forester says
Sorry GI, not preaching surrender. I am however, cynical and skeptical. Western Europe needed to wake up after the 1972 Munich massacre, but since it was only Jews, no big deal. The Achille Lauro hijacking, not to mention aircraft hijackings in that era, should have awakened someone.
Now, they have no go zones, mass illegal migration, mass casualty terror attacks, and only NOW these “intellectuals” figure out there is a problem?
Where were these guys when Bridget Bardot got pilloried for opening her mouth? How about standing up for Le Pen?
In closing, I wish to offer these thoughts:
“Whoever said the pen is mightier than the sword obviously never encountered automatic weapons.”
― Douglas MacArthur
I am not advising surrender, GI, but I hope these guys are planning on backing up their words as needed.
gravenimage says
I hope so, too, Guy.
While I had been getting leerier about Islam for a few years before 9/11, it wasn’t until after this attack that I really started to study Islam.
And my not starting this was *not* because I did not care about Jews, but because I always chalked such terrorism up to general violence or to problems in the third world. I was not unconcerned; I just did not directly understand this violence and its links to Islam.
D-spot says
my thoughts exactly, how long have non-academics been warning about this……..what took them so long to catch on?
Guy Forester says
Thank you. I am not sure what made graven think I am advocating surrender. I do advocate backing up words with appropriate action as the situation requires.
gravenimage says
Glad to hear it, Guy.
My attitude is always “better late than never”. After all, we *need* many who have not woken up to the threat of Islam previously. We need this if we are going to be able to successfully defend against Islam.
I would rather have a lot of johnny-come-latelies than to be able to say I was right, but only because we have fallen to Islam.
dumbledoresarmy says
Ibn Warraq is an apostate from Islam and has been writing books and articles exposing the evils of Islam for YEARS.
Likewise, Robert Redeker did not wake up just today!
Robert Redeker spoke up in the plainest possible terms **twelve years ago** in a beautifully lucid little article in ‘Le Figaro”. He was *instantly* deluged with death threats. I assume that the French state refused to provide him with appropriate heavy-duty protection, so he was forced to leave his prestigious job as teacher in a high-quality lycee (high school) and go into hiding.
The matter was discussed at jihadwatch at the time (I hope the link still works; if it doesn’t, google “Writer of anti-Islam article gets death threats” and see what comes up; or just google “Robert Redeker” and “Islam”).
http://www.jihadwatch.org/2006/09/writer-of-anti-islam-article-gets-death-threats
I have read that article. It speaks of the Islamisation of France, and of the suppression of the criticism of Islam. It does not waste a single word. He was warning about Islamisation, and Islam, *twelve years ago”. Islam. Islam. Islam.
Here is Spencer’s summary of the key points – “…Under the heading “In the face of Islamist intimidation, what must the free world do?”, Redeker described the Koran as a “book of extraordinary violence” and Islam as “a religion which … exalts violence and hate”.
Likening Islam to Communism, he said that “violence and intimidation are the methods used by an expansionist ideology … to impose its leaden cloak on the world”…”.
Money quote, from the article – “Le Coran est un livre d’inouïe violence” (The Qu’ran is a book of extraordinary violence)”.
More, not mincing words, “Exaltation de la violence : chef de guerre impitoyable, pillard, massacreur de juifs et polygame, tel se révèle Mahomet à travers le Coran.” (And, I would add, the Sira and Hadiths and the earliest mohammedan history, that of Al-Tabari – dda).
English translation – “A merciless war chief, plunderer, slaughterer of Jews and a polygamist, such is the man revealed through the Koran…”.

Europe has arrived at the point (almost) of no return…….Either a revolutionary movement or total military (marshal law) or mass military driving the totalitarian Islamist out of Europe….but I don’t envision America, as it once did, getting involved by spilling blood again to save Europe. There is only a small window of time to do anything..May be a little longer for the U.S. but thry also have to move fast.
dumbledoresarmy says
Sorry to nit-pick but the term is *martial law” NOT ‘marshal law’. If I had a dollar for every time I see people writing ‘marshal law’ when they mean “martial law”? The two words are completely different.
Martial is from the Roman God of war, mars, and therefore refers to anything to do with soldiers or the military.
A ‘marshal’ is ‘a federal or municipal law-enforcement officer’ – that is, representing *civilian* authority. Its etymology is also completely distinct from that of ‘martial’. I quote – “Middle English (denoting a high-ranking officer of state): from Old French mareschal ‘farrier, commander’, from late Latin mariscalcus, from *Germanic* elements meaning ‘horse’ (compare with mare) and ‘servant’.”

Neither individually or collectively can they hold a candle to Robert Spencer, but at least they are awakening.
dumbledoresarmy says
Many of these people have been awake for *years*.
Robert Redeker wrote an eerily prophetic article, warning about the suppression of freedom and of free speech by the Muslim enemy within, away back in **2006**. That is TWELVE years ago.
Similarly, Ibn Warraq is in fact a *friend* of Mr Spencer’s and of Hugh Fitzgerald. They have *met* more than once, and have read each other’s books.
The other names on that list… a good few are familiar to me, from the writings of Hugh Fitzgerald, and most of them have been warning about Islam for a long, long time, in France. They are not newbies.
The *new* thing is that they have *banded together* and come out in public, like this.
gravenimage says
Spot on.
dumbledoresarmy says
And by public, I mean *public*.
This Denunciation of Islamisme – that is, in French, of Islam – appeared on **the front page of Le Figaro, a major French newspaper**.
Stendec says
Dear French “intellectuals”: Islam does not care what kind of world you want to live in. Like Communism and Nazism, it defines itself a priori as the ultimate good. Islam has been rapidly advancing in your country for decades not in concealment, but in plain view, while most of you “intellectuals” zipped your mouths and sat on your hands, afraid of igniting “religious wars.” These deep thinkers are mentally paralyzed by the shallowest of deceptions–that Islam is a religion. But all of its important doctrines are fascist political doctrines, including sovereign claim to occupied territory for all time, execution of wrong-thinkers (“blasphemers”), murder of political defectors (“apostates”), and treatment of non-Muslims as sub-humans to be enslaved (“the vilest of created beings”). Pushing back against Islamic encroachment is not religious war. It is self-defense from totalitarian political conquest.

GI, how many places (please don’t waste your valuable time checking), does the quote “The longest journey begins with the first step” originate? Kepha says
The quote about a journey beginning with a single step is from Lao Zi:
千里之行始于足下 (Qian li zhi xing shi yu zu xia–in Pinyin). A trip of a thousand li begins with putting a foot down (literally).
Frank Anderson says
Kepha, thank you. Many true pearls of wisdom have been around far longer than most know. I appreciate the original source. I do believe that “Dear Leader Chairman Mao”, among others, used it at times.
gravenimage says

dumbledoresarmy says
I think if you use google with the names on that list you will find that *none* of them has had their mouths zipped shut, nor have they sat on their hands.
Redeker spoke up TWELVE YEARS AGO, in 2006, and was driven into hiding by a barrage of death threats, probably because the French state did not step up to the plate to offer him a decent level of protection.
Ibn Warraq is an apostate from Islam, risking his life for years, writing books such as “Defending the West’; his latest is a hard-hitting exposition, “The Islam in Islamic Terrorism”.
What is new here is that they have *got together*, to take a stand *together*, in public.

Wellington says
I’m encouraged, I want to make that clear, but (at least in translation) there remains a serious flaw and that is the phantom distinction between Islamism and Islam. And Muslims who really do think they can reconcile their faith with freedom, true democracy, equality under the law and a Golden Rule for all are fooling themselves and are bad Muslims. Still, this points in the right direction but it is imperative in the final analysis that all of Islam be seen for the heinous totalitarian belief system which it surely is.
dumbledoresarmy says
At least two of the signatories – Ibn Warraq and Robert Redeker – are perfectly well aware of that.
It is possible that something has been lost in translation. In French one can have ‘Christianisme” and “Islamisme” which seem to correspond to the English terms “Christianity” and “Islam”.
It may be that in French it is more natural to say “Islamisme’ than to say “Islam”, and to mean by “Islamisme’ what we mean by ‘Islam’.
Perhaps Mr Fitzgerald could assist us here.
Wellington says
Yes, dda, I too wondered about the “translation matter.” I can read French but not well enough to know if there is that possible difference you speculated about. In any case, it is a step in the right direction as I already noted and, as you pointed out, at least two of the signatories are aware that the distinction between Islamism and Islam (at least in English) is bogus.
Well, looking at the glass half full here, it’s another sign that people are getting fed up with the worst religion of all time, one that is like no other and a threat to anyone who cherishes freedom and wants it to exist in their daily life. I would note again too that anyone, Muslim or non-Muslim, who thinks you can be a devout Muslim and embrace liberty, equality under the law, women’s rights, a Golden Rule for all, et al. believes in a fantasy version of Islam that does not exist. Islam cannot be saved. It must be discarded.

This is one of the best written articles in a long time. What struck me most was the statement or one might say a proclamation, “We want to live in a world where both sexes can look at each other with neither feeling insulted by the presence of the other. We want to live in a world where women are not deemed to be naturally inferior. We want to live in a world where people can live side by side without fearing each other. We want to live in a world where no religion lays down the law.”
I have one question which is, is this not the law and the term “laïcité?” As an American who has a degree in Political Science and graduate degree in International Relations, I have spent many hours learning about the influence of the French philosophers such as Rousseau and Descartes upon western thought and law which endowed me with an utmost respect for the French attitudes towards one another. I pray that the people of France and also of England wake up from their intoxication with multiculturalism and think about the gifts to humanity from which us in America and those of Australia and Canada can rejoice. We must all come together as a just people and demand that the words of John Locke, “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Property (or as John Adams requested Thomas Jefferson to say – Happiness) be the motif of a new order.

I’m not sure if a piece of paper can stop the hijrah. (Where were these luminaries when a timely word would have nipped this problem in the bud?) More and more I have come to believe that it may be the boors and the ruffians that will do the job. Too bad – it will lead to great civil strife.
WPM says
It is shame I think you are right ,who said it will take ruff unpolished men threating the ungodly at night to let women and children walk safely in the day light?

I also think he is right. Except that “ruff, unpolished men” are not necessarily “boors and ruffians.” In fact, in my experience, frequently quite the opposite. What they have, unlike the elite and the glitterati, tends to be a simply, honest understanding of honour, and the difference between right and wrong. They are the sort you want by your side when you “go over the top”, and it is most likely they who will actually do something about this pestilence, rather than the intellectuals.
Ten thousand of them at Speakers Corner loudly and publicly damning the Muslims and their pals in authority is more likely to effect change than a bunch of French intellectuals sat in the safety of their chateaux. Bring it on, Tommy Robinson.
Flavius Claudius Iulianus says
I agree. Rough and unpolished is a much better description than boors and ruffians. My apologies to the patriots.
dumbledoresarmy says
I think you are – unintentionally- perhaps “splitting the camp” with a sort of reverse snobbery in which the uneducated/ the are the virtuous ones and the scholar / intellectual/ academic is viewed as, ipso facto, a coward, contemptible and weak, unable or unwiling to fight, devoid of commonsense and morality… When a society splits and its brains and its brawn are encouraged to view one another with hostility and suspicion and even downright contempt… is that healthy?
Did you *read* the list of signatories? The names on it, that I recognise, are NOT “a bunch of French intellectuals sat in the safety of their chateaux.”
A number of the names are those of *apostates from Islam*, such as Ibn Warraq, who is a personal friend of Mr Spencer and Mr Fitzgerald.
EVery one of those apostates has *risked their life* to leave Islam; they risk it even more, just by speaking up in public like this, on the front page of a newspaper; and let it be known, that in *France* many have been speaking up, *already*, it’s just that … not everything published in the Francosphere is allowed to be publicised in the Anglosphere, and vice versa. Which BTW is a very good argument for people making sure to learn more than one language!!
As for the others: One of the native French names on that list is Robert Redeker. Look him up.
Barbara Lefebvre is no coward nor fool, either. Nor is Ivan Riofoul. Nor is Alain Besancon.
Do you remember Oriana Fallaci? she was a journalist, and an intellectual, a writer; not some big tough bloke with no education. She was *also* possessed of gutsy physical courage; she faced down people like the Ayatollah Khomeini. She went into battlefields.
DO NOT stereotype ‘intellectuals’ as cowards. And the intellectual in France has a long history of being up to their ears in revolutionary *action*. Words lead to deeds; words prepare the way for deeds.
These words, yes, words, published on the front page of Le Figaro, may represent the first crack in the breaking of a dam; or the first little bouncing, tinkling pebble that heralds an avalanche.
dumbledoresarmy says
Robert Redeker spoke up, loud and clear, away back in 2006. He published an article in Le Figaro that summed everything up in the plainest possible terms. He was derided, ignored, silenced, and driven into hiding by a barrage of death threats… the French state did not step up to the plate to *protect* him nor to warn his threateners that they would be squashed flat if they lifted a finger against him.
Ibn Warraq as an apostate from Islam has been risking his life for *years*, warning people about Islam, writing book after book. He is *friends* with Hugh Fitzgerald and Robert Spencer.
And I think you will find, if you use google with these people’s names, that most of them *have* been speaking up, for a long long time! But they will not have been allowed to be heard in the Anglosphere, because for that, their works would have to be translated into *English* and discussed in English and unless one can read French, like Mr Fitzgerald, then… silence.
Flavius Claudius Iulianus says
I choose to be ignorant of French intellectual thought, despite being educated in French and fluent. Shame on me. I found and still do find that most French intellectuals, in the Academie or otherwise, tend to resemble the ridiculous Duc d’Orlean (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_Philippe_II,_Duke_of_Orl%C3%A9ans).
The Duke is an interesting case of having one’s proverbial head up one’s arse. While his family members and his entire social class were under threat of being butchered, he kept his high ideals. In the end, the Revolution relegated him to the tribe of his birth and cut off his head. (I recommend highly Dreyfuss and Rohmer’s movie “The Lady and the Duke” to get a good picture of this high minded suicidal tendency.)
This is much the case presently with “thought” in France. These people seem to think that high ideals and pretty words will protect them no matter what comes their way.
I do, however, applaud those few who have made an early warning cry.
Ray Jarman says
Flavius Claudius Iulianus, I would suggest reading the Emil Zola version of the Dreyfuss Case as he was part of the team that eventually obtained justice for the captitan.

This is not “a piece of paper”–it is the power of ideas. I don’t care how tough someone is, if they do not understand the threat of Islam and that we need to defend against it, their actions will be for naught.
Keys says
Agree, Flavius – I think Hijrah is the urgent, vital point.
Hopefully, this signed paper is this nation’s innate survival instinct emerging like a bat out of hell, because the hijrah is in full swing there and the status quo will not reverse it.
Once the hijrah and “out-breeding” succeeds, the dissenting “intellectuals” will all be rounded up and killed for “mischief in the land” or some such nonesense.
Isn’t that how totalitarianism works – the way of Hitler, Stalin, Mohammad …?
dumbledoresarmy says
“Hopefully, this signed paper is this nation’s innate survival instinct emerging like a bat out of hell,”
It might be just that. Because.. it wasn’t on a blog somewhere. It appeared **on the front page of a mainstream French newspaper, Le Figaro**. It will have been read by many, many, many French people. It may well act as a rallying call. I hope and pray that it *does*.
And none of these people are ivory-tower starry-eyed naive fools. A goodly few of them are **apostates from Islam** and have NO illusions whatsoever about the risk that they are taking, nor about the ugliness of the cult from which they have defected. And the native French on this list are not naive idealists, *either*. Every one of them that signed off on this knows the risk they are taking, I would guarantee it.
strongaingel says
The worrying thing about this development is how it illustrates the basic problem, i.e. that the “intellectual” classes of the West are utterly ignorant of the manner by which islamic warfare is prosecuted. islam and the adherents of the “sacred law” is not in any country to integrate, but is there to grab as much as it can, while it can. The Islamic state of Islam is a fully operating constitution, it is not a belief system, because, as many have noted, there is actually nothing to believe.

sorry to rain on your enthusiasm … I just think there is far more to hope in with a Tommy Robinson getting up on a soap box to rouse two thousand or more clamoring common folk (with a strong salting of big bruisers and rabble) with a simple speech encouraging them to not stay silent, than a well turned letter signed by some high brows. The high brows had their chance a long time ago and for the most part, they failed.

If anyone can stir the people to stamp out this pestilence, I think it is likely to be him.

Kepha says
Ibrahim:你讲的为纯粹之狗屎。
Islam will not prevail, for it is a lie. The Quran tells us that the Christian Trinity is God, Jesus, and Mary, when it is clear that it is the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit. It denies that Jesus died on the cross, when this was clearly prophesied in the sacrificial system of the Old Testament, the Psalms, and prophets. “All we like sheep have gone astray..and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all” (Isaiah 53:5). “The Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and give his life a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45). “[Jesus] himself bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose [Jesus’] stripes ye were healed.” (I Peter 2:24). The risen Jesus himself testifies from Heaven, “I am the first and the last, and the living one; I died, and behold I am alive forevermore; and I have the keys of death and Hades.” (Revelation 1:17,18).
Islam itself confesses that Jesus, body and soul, is in Heaven, from whence he will come to judge–and that Muhammad ibn Abdallah lies in a grave in Medina awaiting the day when Jesus will call him force to face judgment along with the rest of us sinners (and none of us save Jesus is without sin–even if we, like the Muslim ‘ulema, so redefine it to make their own adulteries, thefts, murders, and blasphemies holy).
I join with Dumbledore’s Army in praying that you will be freed from your delusions, and your zeal will turn to serve the living and true Messiah Jesus.

Hitherto French Muslims and those of its former colonies, especially thé élites, had been assimilated to French culture and became mostly non practing muslims. one could noticed this in Niger Republic, Mali, Sénégal and Guinea Who are almost 100% muslim, but the elites as non practicing muslims. “muslim reasservativeness” – (translation: supremacism) – has been a feature of muslim populations throughout history and has zip to do with French colonies.

Far from Christians having a “hostile attitude”, muslims have been made welcome and granted freedoms far exceeding any in their home countries.

Any current hostility towards islam and it’s adherents is very very well deserved. Look at it this way – most muslims still whine on about the Crusades, while the Christian West has for the most part forgotten all about the muslim expansionary invasions and has been INVITING the muslims to come live here.
This is the thing with many muslims, indeed, with the spirit of islam in general. They can’t forget or forgive ANYTHING, while expecting the whole world to never express the barest hint of disapproval.

Asma Bint Marwan, a contemporary Muhammad in Medina. She was a critic of Muhammad and his Jihadists. You can find out what happened to her in the Hadith of Ibn Ishaq:
The fate of Asma Bint Marwan, Ishaq (p. 676):
“‘You obey a stranger who encourages you to murder for booty. You are greedy men. Is there no honor among you?’ Upon hearing those lines Muhammad said, ‘Will no one rid me of this woman?’ Umayr, a zealous Muslim, decided to execute the Prophet’s wishes. That very night he crept into the writer’s home while she lay sleeping surrounded by her young children. There was one at her breast. Umayr removed the suckling babe and then plunged his sword into the poet. The next morning in the mosque, Muhammad, who was aware of the assassination, said, ‘You have helped Allah and His Apostle.’ Umayr said. ‘She had five sons; should I feel guilty?’ ‘No,’ the Prophet answered. ‘Killing her was as meaningless as two goats butting heads.'”
So it goes, that the critics of Islam are dispatched, and goats are still butting heads. I can only think of Theo Van Gogh, or Charlie Hebdo, or any of a number of countless critics who have disappeared into the abyss of history.
Remember Obama in his 2012 UN speech: “The future does not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam”.
LeftisruiningCanada says
” “The future does not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam”.”
He is wrong.
A future where that disgusting, fetid, example of humanity’s depravity is NOT ‘slandered’, is a future where barbarity and tyranny have extinguished all light.
Imagine a future where Hitler or Stalin and their beliefs are not condemned and mocked, because that is what obama seems to want.
Wellington says
And besides, LIRC, it is a legal impossibility under Common Law (which 49 of the fifty states and the federal government follow {Louisiana being the exception which functions under Roman Law}) to slander a dead person. Obama got this wrong as he did so much else, including mixing up Memorial Day with Veterans’ Day; claiming that Abraham Lincoln was a founder of the Republican Party, no he wasn’t, he remained a Henry Clay Whig for some two years after the founding of the Republican Party; and, my personal favorite, Obama saying that “Austrian” is a language (oh yeah, you can Google this one—-priceless). All of which long ago led me to the conviction that one Barack Obama has the single most overrated intellect in the Western world.

He struck his left shoulder and there emitted from it the black offspring as if they were charcoal. He then said (to those who had been emitted) from the right (shoulder): For Paradise and I do not mind. Talking about body odor, I was once on a plane from Amman, Jordon to Istanbul and a couple sat next to me. The man’s robes were extremely white and the lady was dressed very well but the stench from both of them caused me to ask the stewardess to let me buy an upgrade to first class. She understood and moved me without an additional charge. In Nigeria and some other African nations where the people simply have not the accommodations to bath or shower one can understand but someone flying on a major airline has the means to shower. Our friend, Ibrahim, probably does not believe in washing his left hand after using a restroom and claims that by using his right hand with which to eat is an insult to Nigeria. You can also bet that the scum would not shake your hand either as I convinced the Ambassador in Abuja to fire one muslim working in the Political/Economics Office to fire him for refusing to shake my wife’s hand but there were some really great muslim local employees working there, especially those maintaining the computers and other communications equipment and operating systems and they are truly embarrassed when other muslims committed evil.

Ibn al-Faqih was a Muslim historian and geographer:
“A man of discernment said: The people of Iraq … do not come out with something between blonde, buff and blanched coloring, such as the infants dropped from the wombs of the women of the Slavs and others of similar light complexion; nor are they overdone in the womb until they are burned, so that the child comes out something between black, murky, malodorous, stinking, and crinkly-haired, with uneven limbs, deficient minds, and depraved passions, such as the Zanj, the Somali, and other blacks who resemble them. The Iraqis are neither half-baked dough nor burned crust but between the two.” (from his Mukhtasar Kitab al-Buldan, 903 AD)
Many of the most famous Arab writers and Islamic scholars were certainly “racists” in the full meaning of that word.
Ibn Khaldun (1332–1406) was, among other things, an Islamic jurist, Islamic lawyer, Islamic scholar, Islamic theologian, and hafiz (one who has memorized the entire Qur’an). He is one of the most important figures in Islamic history. Here are two (among many) remarks he makes about black Africans in his Muqaddimah:
“Therefore, the Negro nation are, as a rule, submissive to slavery, because [Negroes] have little [that is essentially] human and have attributes that are quite similar to those of dumb animals, as we have stated.”
“Beyond [known peoples of black West Africa] to the south there is no civilization in the proper sense. There are only humans who are closer to dumb animals than to rational beings. They live in thickets and caves, and eat herbs and unprepared grain. They frequently eat each other. They cannot be considered human beings.”
Ibn Sina or Avicenna (980-1037), was another celebrated figure in Islamic history: a Hafiz, an Islamic psychologist, scholar, and theologian and, by our lights, a racist: “[Blacks are] people who are by their very nature slaves.”

(Propos d’Henri Boulad SJ, Alexandrie, Egypte):
“Islamism is not a caricature, nor a counterfeit, nor a heresy, nor a fringe or atypical phenomenon versus classical, orthodox, Sunnite Islam.
To the contrary, I think Islamism is naked Islam, Islam without a mask and without paint, Islam perfectly consistent and true to itself, an Islam that has the courage and lucidity to go all the way to its ultimate conclusions and final implications.
Islamism is Islam in all its logic and in all its rigour. Islamism is present in Islam as the chick is present in the egg, as the fruit is present in the flower and as the tree is present in the seed.
But what is Islamism?
Islamism is political Islam, the bearer of a project for a model society and whose aim is to establish a theocratic state based on Sharia, the only legitimate law—since it is divine—since it was revealed and enshrined in the Koran and Sunna—it’s a law that applies to everything.
Here is an all-inclusive and all-encompassing project, one that is total, totalizing and totalitarian.”

Who cares about 100 intellectuals ? They just pee against the wind. You hear not a word in media about this. They will just have accidents in the near future.
There are 50-60 millions muslims REGISTERED in Europe. Some say there are about 80 – 100 millions.
If only 10% of them will take real actions against Europe, then Europe is dead. And they will. Until now Europe has seen only individuals taking action. The wolves of ISIS are in Europe. They are planning. When they will start to act, there will be no one to stand against them. Europeans are scared by spiders, how can they take a knife and cut the head of muslims trying to rape his 10 years daughter, or wife ? I think the reality of the day is totally different from reality of 1940. At least the west men is effeminate. The east Europe, after all they endured in communism, they probably still can to fight. But the west ?
Carol (the 1st) says
A statement signed by leading intellectuals is very significant and it won’t be forgotten regardless of how the wind blows. Other countries should definitely encourage their intellectuals to do the same. This would help disable the excuses politicians make for themselves when confronted by ordinary citizens.
Islam is “codified retardation” and it seems to be all for the greater glory and benefit of those elusive imams at the top of the pecking order. There’s nothing holy about Islam and it definitely NEEDS to be defeated by its betters – the non-brainwashed sentient masses deserving of the title HUMAN BEINGS.
New terms like “EMANCIPATORY POLITICS” and “DIGNITARIAN HARM” are the warped “philosophic” justification for the strange Leftist goings on we see so much of these days. These terms are a globalist/EU tool that attempts to discard what it claims are “obsolete values and identities” and replace these with some loose concept called “dignity for all” (while it trashes all opponents and tries to shut down free speech of course).

What happened to the French that became the Maquis and stood against the Nazis when the army was broken? France and the rest of Western Europe and the UK need to get ready to fight for their very survival. They must fight for their nation, families, and self-preservation.
The Poles, Hungarians, Czechs, and now perhaps Austrians and Italians are standing up against these invaders. Time for the rest to wake up or perish.
Stefan cel Mare says
Islam is the cult that transformed killing of others in virtue. There is no other religion that did this. Every single muslim that believe he must follow the example of Mohamed, is ready to be virtuous, to kill in the name of his god, and take his virgins. Looks like muslims god is a pimp, and heaven is a big brothel. Is only a matter of time until every true muslim will show you what he is capable to do. The west is full of true muslims. They are waiting. The bad part is, also the europeans of the west are waiting. The governments of the west are working against west europeans. They said this many times in public. They show this through all new legislation they are pushing. And yet, west europeans are waiting. And many support the idea.
These french men that stood against Nazi are dead or very old. Let’s talk about the young french men. Shall we ?
gravenimage says
So, Stefan–you believe that all resistance is futile and that we should just roll over for Islam? I have to disagree.
Stefan cel Mare says
Where did you see resistance in the west ? My country had anti communist resistance when west sold the east to soviets. Millions fight and died or ended in prisons when communist URSS came to implement communism in my country. Millions ended in prisons or executed during the communist era for fighting against communism. All of us, the young children, had someone in family dead, wounded or convicted for opposing communism. In the end, my country had a revolution against communist regime…Many died on streets fighting. In my country, killing, raping children, is a personal matter. A family matter. Even in prison a pedophile is in danger. Usually he never get out from the prison alive. So…if there is no resistance at the begging of the implementation of sharia, what resistance will be when all are muslims ? The time for resistance in the west is past. People in the west already accepted what is happening. On internet, we are all brave fighters. In reality, I don’t know how many has the courage to take the axe from the garage and cut in pieces the animals raping and selling your children.
So, if you continue going to the police when your wife or children are raped, you solve nothing.
You are a good citizen and a future convert.
When you start looking at the longer knife in the box or the axe in the garage, you start having a chance to punish the animals.

gravenimage… you understand nothing. Read the context. With wild animals, poems are useless. Why start a philosophical discussion with somebody unable to understand it ? They understand only the brute force. If you start attacking me because I try to explain all this, then you are useless…with men like you, there is no chance to win a fight against enemies and there is no need to talk with a girl like you about fighting against savage enemies. You can continue your poetic activity.

Defeatism.
All you are doing is preaching despair and defeatism.

This is what I do ?
OK…then continue writing on internet and wait the “death brigades” to knock at your door.
I am saying that only talking, does not help. Get out on streets and demand order and law. Take your politicians and beat them, if they don’t want to hear you, if they don’t want to do their job. Their job is to represent your interests, not to work against you. Look at Tommy Robinson. He is risking his life and his children’s life. What do you do in order to secure your future ?

People are growing increasingly tired to hear that islam is a religion of peace and tolerance

Why do you feel the need to ask this ?

Patriots say that their initiative is too timid: the word Islam appears only once, they say Islamist whereas they should say Islamic, in conclusion they are splitting hairs!
Kepha says
“Islamist totalitarianism seeks to gain ground by every means possible and to represent itself as a victim of intolerance.” Isn’t this exactly how the Marxist-Leninists insinuated themselves into all of our institutions in times past, and are still in the business of wrecking those institutions? Do we not now see a Marxist-Islamic alliance at work?

If, in order to tolerate multiculturalism, diversity & Islam—requires me to reject free speech; support the abuse of basic human rights; pervert the true meaning of genuine feminism; impeach our men for crimes they never committed; betray democracy & commit treason against my nation; turn a blind eye to animal cruelty; and accept the inversion of my moral & cultural standards—then I will reject multiculturalism, diversity & Islam with my last breath. For the toxic consequences of these failed doctrines are already apparent. The results are discordant, feeble populations without cultural, historical or national cohesion—threatening not only our personal freedoms, but also the security of our nations.
But, this suppressive tolerance is not the direct result of the democratic process. Oh no! This has been foisted upon an unsuspecting proletariat by unelected ultra-leftist, ultra-radicals who imagine they’re possessed of the only ideologies of true enlightenment in a world otherwise made dark by obtuse ignorance & racism. For they would rather annihilate peace & co-operation—even their nations—than support moderation & reason. And in the name of diversity & tolerance, they’ve devolved into monsters of absolute hate, discrimination & selective racism. Advocating forced collective genocides across entire continents, any victims they create are of no consequence. For if they’re not Muslims & of ‘colour’—they’re irrelevant. By virtue of their race, faith, culture & heritage—their human rights have been revoked. They’ve been invalidated.
The desperate need of these self-loathing humanists & multiculturalists to show how tolerant & peaceful they are is so pervasive, so self-absorbed & so entitled—they’ll commit extreme acts of violence to prove it. Their collective hatred for the establishment—denying they’re woven of the same fabric—leads to primal, yet meaningless, screeches of “Black Lives Matter”—provoking mass protests & moral outrage without solutions. And, equating resistance to jihad terror & Islamic totalitarianism, with Islamophobia, thus racism, thus hate crimes—playing the victim. They persecute their victims to even the grave. They refuse to see the destruction of their own lives & those of future generations. After all, it’s about their own gestalt intelligence. Their self-importance. Their self-interest. Not about their nations.
Dominated by a professional political upper-class. Afflicted with a benign form of Affluenza. Truncated up their own over-privileged arses. Oozing arrogance & contempt for the masses. Profoundly dysfunctional as children—as adults, they use their wealth & influence to throw their weight around with abandon. Riddled with a contagious strain of chronic myopia. Their numbers swelled by the support of venal, faux ‘feminists’. Deluded by the belief that progress is defined by the canibalism of the accomplishments of previous generations—all of them incapable of comprehending the severity of their treacherous actions. The misery they’re enabling. The destruction they’re wreaking. At the alter of diversity, multiculturalism & tolerance, they sacrifice even their children. For only their views, their ideologies & their truths are valid. Thus, these inner-city elites will cast those who challenge their self-aggrandising gestures & empire building as racist bigots. Criticism is met with slander, racist disparagement & outright violence. Not allowed to protest their own dispossession, those who disagree—anyone who questions the narrative—has an unreasonable phobia. Is ‘counselled’. Then lynched.
Yet, they get away with it! The persecution of detractors is done with impunity. For their power is underpinned by progressive media—sponsored by the craven elite, the smug Organization of Islamic Cooperation & the barbaric Muslim Brotherhood. Thus, heralding the rise of the deep totalitarian state, authorities prosecute & jail it’s critics. Then under the watchful gaze of prison guards, they are abused & beaten. Stifling all debate in public. Censoring anyone who dips their toe in the primordial sludge of immigration, multiculturalism, racial identity, racial politics & the consequences of the mass importation of diabolical, misogynistic & racist Islam—they’ve joined the extremists they once so despised.
This beast of progressive tolerance has morphed into the rabid guard dog of the very underworld it once tried to keep at bay. And instead of crushing the evil spirits of racism—it’s opened the gates of genocidal hell.
Thus, if—in order to tolerate multiculturalism, diversity & Islam—requires me to reject free speech; support the abuse of basic human rights; pervert the true meaning of genuine feminism; impeach our men for crimes they never committed; betray democracy & commit treason against my nation; turn a blind eye to animal cruelty; and accept the inversion of my moral & cultural standards—then I will reject multiculturalism, diversity & Islam with my last breath.

“…Today, a new kind of apartheid is emerging in France, a segregation in reverse thanks to which the ‘dominated’ seek to retain their dignity by sheltering themselves from the ‘dominators.’…”
This is the Postmodern mindset that has established itself throughout Western Europe and which emanated from France. The damaged totalitarian thinking that spread across Europe directly from the French Revolutionary Terror of the late 1700’s was a forerunner of what we experience today. That the British and Germans have succumbed so completely to the allure of this French Cultural Revolutionary nonsense – more thoroughly than the French themselves – makes it even more painful to acknowledge that the French Intellectual Elite bear primary responsibility for the creation of this savagely divisive militancy.
eduardo odraude says
Islam bears primary responsibility for the savage divisive militancy, which is the militancy of jihad to spread and enforce Islamic law.
While it’s true that postmodernism in a way emanated from France, it’s also true that it has deep roots in the evolution of the Western mind. Roots in Hume and in Kant, for example. The idea that reality is in some sense a construction is profound. The problem with postmodernism is that it too often tends to put a subjectivist, relativist, nihilist spin on the underlying insight. Kant had the same perception of reality, that it was a construction, though he expressed it in his Germanic, eighteenth century fashion, which though somewhat less subjectivist than postmodernism, still in the end falls into the same error. A challenge today, perhaps, is to take the recognition of “reality construction” and combine that with a recognition that some constructions are better, fuller, truer, and more objective than others. That combination — of the construction idea with objectivism — would take us beyond the traditional dichotomy between science and art, or between science and the humanities, into a new cognitive realm.
