Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

American who escaped Al Qaeda captivity says FBI, under Mueller and Comey, betrayed him

Mar 27, 2018 2:00 pm By Robert Spencer

“I faxed– I emailed them, probably between my mother and my father and me, between 50 and 100 complaints. I was emailing him questions. I was forwarding him all these emails. I was demanding answers from him. And I never got anything back.”

Yes, that’s today’s corrupt, clueless and compromised FBI, all right. To this day they have ignored our repeated requests for an explanation of why they had one undercover agent at the free speech event that Pamela Geller and I hosted in Garland, Texas in May 2015, and that agent was egging on the jihadis who attacked the event, but they didn’t have a team or even one person in place to try to stop the jihadis from attacking (our own security team took them down).

“Not every FBI agent is bad. Some are very good people. But the ones that are bad need to be weeded out. And the ones who let them be bad, and who turn their head, need to be exposed.”

Oh yes.

“American who escaped Al Qaeda captivity says FBI, under Mueller and Comey, betrayed him,” by Catherine Herridge, Pamela K. Browne, and Cyd Upson, Fox News, March 26, 2018:

EXCLUSIVE – After he escaped from Al Qaeda in Syria, American photojournalist Matt Schrier investigated his own kidnapping and uncovered what he describes as a pattern of “betrayal” by FBI agents handling his case.

Schrier is now asking hard questions of former FBI Director Robert Mueller, who now leads the special counsel Russia probe, and former FBI Director James Comey, who was fired by President Trump in May 2017.

“Not every FBI agent is bad. Some are very good people,” Schrier told Fox News. “But the ones that are bad need to be weeded out. And the ones who let them be bad, and who turn their head, need to be exposed.”

In an exclusive cable interview that first aired Monday on “The Story” with Martha MacCallum, Schrier went in depth, sharing emails, financial records and formal letters of complaint, which backed up allegations that after he was taken hostage in 2012, the FBI monitored his accounts as Al Qaeda terrorists used his money to buy at least a dozen computers and tablets.

While he was tortured and held by al Nusra, the brutal Al Qaeda franchise in Syria, Schrier claimed the FBI put intelligence gathering ahead of his personal security, hoping to track the computers and tablets to learn more about Al Qaeda recruits and future plots. After his harrowing escape, Schrier started demanding answers from the FBI, which at the time of his kidnapping was led by Mueller.

Photojournalist Matt Schrier, seen before his abduction in 2012.

Since his return to the U.S. in mid-2013, Schrier shared documents with Fox News and explained, “I faxed– I emailed them, probably between my mother and my father and me, between 50 and 100 complaints.”

Comey took over from Mueller in September 2013, and Schrier said the stonewalling continued. “I was emailing him questions. I was forwarding him all these emails. I was demanding answers from him,” Schrier said. “And I never got anything back.”

Schrier said he has been unable to obtain credit cards or open new bank accounts because Al Qaeda stole his identity and passwords. Unable to get a lease for an apartment, Schrier said his FBI case manager suggested he temporarily live in a New York City homeless shelter.

“I just got clean clothes without bed bugs. I don’t want to go through a situation where I have to deal with lice and bed bugs again. Like, no thank you.”

The publisher for Comey’s upcoming book, “A Higher Loyalty,” did not immediately respond to Fox News’ questions. The Office of the Special Counsel referred Fox News to the FBI. The FBI did not dispute Schrier’s account. An FBI spokesperson said the bureau could neither respond to specific questions nor make the agent assigned to Schrier’s case available for an interview….

The FBI supposed to be investigators NOT the “investigated”..I’m not privy to all the facts in the FBI problem and I know without the hard working “boots on the ground people” in that organization, we would worse off…….but IF the upper echelon are not “clean” that makes the whole group look “dirty” I do hope the president and congress works hard to bring the FBI up to a standard worthy of respect by everyone.

I watched the interview of Mr. Schrier on Fox and if what he says is true, and given what’s happening within the FBI, I have no reason not to believe him, It sure puts the FBI in a bad light…..

I am so very disappointed in Donald J. Trump. With all of the overwhelming incontrovertible evidence, and 95% of it all on Public Record, he still does not have the moral fortitude and backbone to fire Sessions, Rosenstein, Mueller and the entirety of the FBI Management Elitists who are corrupt and treasonous, to the very core of their beings. WHY? All because his sycophant advisory team don’t want CNN, MSNBC etc., etc., to attack him in the MSM. Grow a pair Mr. Trump, live up to the hype, that you are an honorable and decent man who sticks up for justice and to hell with the Media.

        Seconded. America’s greatest President, Abraham Lincoln, made many mistakes and chose many wrong people in his first year or two in office but eventually, as one of America’s finest historians ever, Samuel Eliot Morrison, wrote of him in his 3 volume Oxford History Of The American People, “…Lincoln emerged humble before God, but the master of men.” {Volume 2, p.432}

Trump is no Lincoln (who is other than a handful like Augustus, Elizabeth I, Washington and Churchill?), but he is still the mightiest force for freedom across the world in our time and has great instincts and, like Andrew Jackson, never backs down on principle, only strategy.

Well, just as about the greatest human being who ever lived, Lincoln, was derided by many, including loads in his own Republican party let alone by Democrats aplenty, eventually he saved his nation and stood mightier than all. Perhaps Trump will too. Verdict still out but those giving up early on about Trump should study the life of Lincoln so as to reconsider matters. Surely.

And yes he has done more in one year than that dishrag, limp wrist obama could ever do in a lifetime. I was voicing the opinion of hundreds of thousands of Americans who agree that Mr. Trump should have fired these shit stains long ago and to hell with the MSM. If you do your own research, you would have noticed that Mr. Trump did want to fire them all and was going to do so. It was his own people and advisors that told him that it would be a huge mistake. And that, based solely on perception and Public Opinion.

No, it does not and i agree with you, I got a little excited. It is simply that if you are going to criticize me, please do so with substantive rebuttal please. You took my assessment/comment completely out of context. It is just that it would be so nice to see something done to these self righteous leftists who never stop their unsubstantiated attacks against Trump et al and his supporters. And Sessions and the majority of “Management” in the DOJ and FBI are indeed staunch Democrats. In past elections the previous administrations were very quick to dismiss those who were not obviously in agreement with their political views and agendas. That’s all. And myself and so many others simply cannot understand why Mr. Trump hasn’t done so as well. OK, I’m all better now : )).

Paul, I disagree strongly with you on the matter of Jeff Sessions. I don’t think he should be lumped in with Mueller, etc., and for this reason:

Counter-Jihad-minded folks should be aware that in terms of high-ranking officials opposed to the hijra of muslims to America, you will find no one more acutely aware of how the “refugee” resettlement industry works, along with asylee immigration, to pour muslims into the U.S. at alarming rates, and no one more dedicated to putting a stop to the deluge. He knows the nature of this beast, and has backed and been behind more than one sincere pre-Trump admin effort to stop the flood of muslim invaders and jihadis masquerading as refugees, asylees, and laborers.

In fact, perhaps if Sessions could get a break from the consistent damage control required of his current position from the constantly neurotic, high caliber reality show drama surrounding this administration, he could get down to the work he should have been put here to do; to pinch-off and end this corrupt and rottenly lucrative industry altogether.

His periodic villainization by DJT is curious and unwarranted. Sessions is very important with regard to our objectives, and should absolutely have the support of all in the counter-jihad movement.

It will take a lot for the FBI to recover its reputation. Probably, Comey’s book will bring out more questions than answers.

Was Comey’s ‘higher loyalty’ the Clinton cabal, and not the Constitution and his oath? Why did he initiate a two-tier justice system?

American who escaped Al Qaeda captivity says FBI, under Mueller and Comey, betrayed him
    ……………………

Well, this is *deeply* disturbing–the main focus of the FBI should *always* be the safety of American citizens.

Equally outrageous is telling this brave man–after the FBI *knew* his identity had been stolen by Al Qaida–to stay in a homeless shelter since these Jihad terrorists had stolen his money and ruined his credit.

Glad that Matt Schrier is exposing this.

    • Wellington says

      Mar 27, 2018 at 5:50 pm

Long ago, gravenimage, I lost faith in both Mueller and Comey. They’re part of the problem; they’re part of the Swamp. And I am particularly concerned that Mueller (who long ago should have been fired in his present job if indeed not appointed in the first place) will try to get Trump on a process crime (a la Scooter Libby).

I mean this guy is the one who took orders and acted upon such orders (rather than doing the decent thing and resigning) from America’s worst President, Barack Obama, to scrub all references to Islamic texts (Koran, hadiths and sira) as to why Islamic terrorists commit the terrorism that they do. At best, Mueller is a fool. At worst, something far worse than a fool.

I still would like Trump to fire him and, if Trump did, Leftists would be in hysterics, which for me has long been one of my favorite spectator sports. Fluid times no doubt. Take care, my friend.

      • gravenimage says

        Mar 27, 2018 at 6:06 pm

Agreed, Welllington–on all but one point. I think if the president fired Mueller now that it might be fatal for his presidency, since Mueller is currently investigating him. Of course, the allegations are pretty bogus, but I think this would make little difference to much of the public.

I think the best thing to do is to pay as little attention as possible to him, and hope his flailings come to nothing.

Interested in your take, especially given your background in the law.

        • Wellington says

          Mar 27, 2018 at 6:41 pm

You could be right about that one objection, gravenimage. I concede this (though for spectator sports’ purposes I have no doubt what I wrote what I did has “merit”—but I digress). Yet as the attorney that I am, I would strongly advise the President to have no direct contact with Mueller. None. Rather, only should Trump’s lawyers have direct contact with this guy.

Trump, you know, whose boldness is so refreshing, so politically incorrect (as I know you know), could have such boldness backfire on him with a man like Mueller. Hence my legal advice above, for what it is worth.

Let me get this straight they know the terrorist are stealing a mans bank account they do nothing to stop it so they can follow his money in what the terrorist buy??Why do they no comp. all the money stolen? They watch it being stolen to further their investigation , if they cannot comment because of on going investigation at least reimburse the mans money from his bank accounts. He said he was willing to help the FBI on his return to be given the same protection that people get in witness protection programs ,new SS number ,ect. to get his credit back life back and the FBI stone wall him. So now he comes out after asking for him for years and getting none ,it shows how entrenched the swamp is .If he was a know terrorist who wanted to turn coat on other terrorist for money the FBI ,CIA and the rest of the alphabet soup would open their coffers wide ,provide everything from citizenship for his family members , to new name, SS number , and plenty of walking around money.

This isn’t your grandfather’s FBI, folks. The fact that they’re still running a brazen, in-your-face coup d’etat against President Trump after trying to stack the election against him, all for the greater glory of Saul Alinsky’s protege. tells you everything you need to know about this once-honorable institution. As for Bob Mueller, how do you go from war hero to #1 attack dog for Saul Alinsky’s protege? Somewhere along the line, Comrade Mueller switched sides. Ho Chi Minh would be proud of his former adversary.

Mueller and Comey are indicative of the black-hole that is now the FBI. Two puppets controlled by subversives, conspirators embedded within the government, its agencies and other institutions. It is the so-called Liberal Progressive, Democrats’ adaptation to disseminate and promote anti-American, anti-Conservative and godlessness (excepting Islam) sentiments into the core of this Constitutional Republic and ‘We the People.’
Unsurprisingly, this man’s Constitutional Rights hold no weight under the jaundiced, anti-democratic and apathetic non-actions of Tweedly-Dee and Tweedly dum.

Sounds like the FBI people involved care more about covering their own ass legally than about responding to Matt Schrier, who deserves some response. The FBI people involved remain silent probably because any response they might give would expose them legally. If they tell the truth, for example, well, then they might lose their jobs or even go to jail. But if they lie to Schrier, that could get them into still more trouble. As they say, the cover-up often gets people into more trouble than the crime. So the FBI people involved apparently take the safest option, keep silent, and hope the whole thing will blow away. Let’s hope not.

It’s blatantly obvious that once the left touches something they do irreversible damage. The left has infected the FBl and the outcome is not good.
I remember a time when you knew the good folks over at the FBI would usually get things right and do their best and l know they were never perfect but this is ridiculous nowadays. We’re at the point where the FBI is a complete joke. Yes, I’m sure some of the agents are still good but the top certainly is NOT and needs to be a full house cleaning.
