The first Muslim woman elected to Australia’s federal parliament has spoken of how racism and domestic violence has shaped her career. Egypt-born Anne Aly has released an autobiography “Finding My Place,” which details religious bigotry she suffered at school and violence at the hands of her first husband.
The story of Anne Aly has some disturbing twists that include Jihad Watch; her new role as MP should be a point of concern. Undoubtedly, Aly will denounce this post as “Islamophobic,” since any negative truths written about Islam, no matter how obvious and demonstrable the facts are, is deemed to be “Islamophobic,” “racist,” “bigoted” and the like.
Here is some background: Aly wrote an appeal to former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott on March 4, 2015, decrying “racism” against Islam. She begins her letter by identifying herself as writing in her “formal capacity as the Founding Chair of People against Violent Extremism Inc….but also as a member of the Muslim community and an academic researcher and practitioner in countering violent extremism.”
In her letter to Abbott, Aly condemned Robert Spencer (and his followers). She complains:
Last year I was quoted in the Australian media in reference to Islam and the barbaric practices of Daesh. The article, in which I stated that beheadings are not part of the Islam tradition, caught the attention of an anti-Islamic group by Robert Spencer. According to Spencer’s website, Jihad Watch, my comments were “designed to comfort and reassure non-Muslims”.
Spencer and his followers claimed that my comments were fabricated, that I was “lying about Islam” and that I was “an expert at taqiyya”. Like many of my counterparts who have also spoken out, I have been labelled an “Islamist apologist” even though the majority of my media commentary is based firmly in academic research and practice.
Beheadings are indeed a tradition in Islam and are sanctioned by Islamic texts, so Aly’s boasting about her academic research and practice is peculiar and deceptive. When it comes to beheadings in Islam, ISIS has nothing over the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Prominent Shia interfaith activist Jawad Al-Khoei has stated recently that the Islamic State’s terror and beheadings are deeply rooted in Islam. Robert Spencer also makes the same irrefutable case HERE.
A legitimate question: is Aly lying, or is she illiterate about Islam and its history?
In Aly’s letter to Mr. Abbott, she also praises Barack Obama, whose administration was infiltrated by the Muslim Brotherhood, and she weaponizes her carefully calculated victimhood:
I sincerely implore you Mr Abbott, to consider the impact of your words, for words have the capacity to change nations and inspire masses. I understand that you have a political agenda but please understand the damage that this rhetoric is doing in undermining the years of good work that we are trying to do as practitioners in CVE. Personally, I am deeply disappointed that my elected leader, a person to whom I should be able to look up to, considers my work not only insignificant, but even worse, insincere. Could you please explain to me Mr Abbott, how much more I need to do? How much more hate mail do I need to endure to prove to you that I am sincere? Please explain to me how many more insults and threats from those who support your views do I need to bear before you consider my efforts sincere?
Anne Aly has a history of manipulating identity politics, in which victimhood has become an entrenched strategy, to the detriment of real victims everywhere. In 2014, she claimed she got “hate mail” after her deceptions were exposed. At that time, Robert Spencer reported:
A few days ago I wrote some commentary here at Jihad Watch on an article about a Muslim professor in Australia, Anne Aly. I showed with quotes from the Qur’an and other Islamic sources that the article was filled with half-truths, distortions, and outright falsehoods about Islam. Apparently someone posted her email address in the comments field here, and now there is an article in The West Australian about how poor Professor Aly has received…hate mail. She got hate mail? And this is a news story? If receiving hate mail is newsworthy, I should be on the front page of the New York Times every day. Here’s one I got on the same day I wrote the post about Aly…
Aly speaks the language of the Muslim Brotherhood and Organization of Islamic Cooperation in consistently maintaining that Islam is not about violence; and so it is “Islamophobic” and “racist” to refer to history and religious texts that sanction violence — despite the fact that Muslims are acting on those texts and committing acts of violence against innocent people globally.
The Muslim Brotherhood stratagem of conquest is deceptive, distancing itself from the global network of violent jihadists. Yet its plan for North America (and more broadly the world) “is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands … so that … God’s religion [Islam] is made victorious over all other religions.”
Back in 1995, Mustafa Mashhur, head of the MB in Egypt from 1996-2002, published a document, Jihad Is the Way, “which detailed MB’s determination to advance Islam’s global conquest, to reestablish an Islamic Caliphate, and to infuse all Muslims with a sense of duty to wage jihad against Israel. Masshur said that MB differed from al Qaeda only in its tactics, not in its goals.”
Anne Aly is a so-called “leading expert” from Egypt on counter-terrorism and past adviser to the United Nations, so she likely knows all this and more, but prefers to conceal it and make her way through the “anti-racism industry,” which I know about firsthand as an appointee (by Canada’s Conservative former Prime Minister Stephen Harper) to the Canadian Race Relations Foundation (CRRF). That is, I experienced it firsthand before I was fired by the Liberal Trudeau government that succeeded the Harper government, and which has an “Islamic supremacist entryist problem.” Chris Alexander, who was the Harper government’s Minister of Citizenship and Immigration (under which the CRRF functioned during the Harper era) tabled a “zero tolerance against barbaric practices act,” which became a fierce battle, as career leftists and sanctimonious dupes took more offense to the term “barbaric practices” than to the barbaric practices themselves.
Australia has trouble on its hands with the deceptive Anne Aly in Parliament. She said last year “that race discrimination laws should be expanded to cover insults based on religion as well.” Adding to the problem is that Australian police officers must now undergo “‘Muslim sensitivity training” in order to better understand the culture of Islam, and “combat radicalization of homegrown terrorists.” Did Aly have a hand in imposing this training?
“Australia’s First Muslim Female MP Lifts Lid on Discrimination, Racism”, by Phil Mercer, VOA News, March 26, 2018:
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA —The first Muslim woman elected to Australia’s federal parliament has spoken of how racism and domestic violence has shaped her career. Egypt-born Anne Aly has released an autobiography “Finding My Place,” which details religious bigotry she suffered at school and violence at the hands of her first husband.
From Cairo to the Australian capital Canberra, “Finding My Place” is the story of abuse, desperation and success. Anne Aly came to Australia from Egypt when she was two years old. She details how she was bullied by fellow students at school because of her Arabic heritage and how she was subjected to abuse and violence by a former husband.
Aly, who is 50-years old, went on to forge a successful career as an academic. She became one of the world’s leading experts on counter-terrorism and was an adviser to the United Nations.
She writes in her newly-released autobiography that after a decade as a well-regarded researcher she was becoming jaded with Australia’s political system and its apparent inability to bring about change. She thought the only way to make a difference was to leave her academic career behind and enter politics.
In 2016, she was elected by a narrow majority to Australia’s federal parliament, where she represents the center-left Labor opposition.
She said that her parliamentary office still receives hate mail and threatening phone calls.
“One week in parliament somebody decided to call up and say tell Anne Aly if she wants to earn the respect of White Australia then she needs to be quiet. You know, I get a lot of hate mail, I get a lot of hate phone calls but that one was particularly stinging, and it was particularly stinging because as I write in the book I had spent much of my life trying to be this person that in my mind and in my head — I am Australian,” said Aly.
According to official statistics, there are about 600,000 Muslims in Australia, which is roughly 2.6 percent of the total population…..

Actually, more Muslims are *leaving* Islam in the West than are convertiing to it. The growth of Islam in the West has been entirely due to the Muslim invasion.
Australia has actually been taking steps to curtail it–which must terrify Sebec Goj.
Also, note his not considering Infidels to be human–that means that he likely believes they can be slaughtered with impunity in violent Jihad. *Ugh*.
Noelene Kuzman says
But ARE they really leaving islam or is this just another lying deception and they are just going undercover????
Jay says
Australian government has been doing very little to combat the slow Islamization of this country, which is helped by insanely high rates of immigration. Yes our government stopped illegal immigration by boat, however legal and illegal immigration by plane dramatically went up over the time these border protection policies have been in effect.
Not to mention like Waleed Aly, Anne Aly and Yassmin Abdel-Magied (before she screwed up) are considered by some in this country as the sort of moderate, modernist Muslims we should be elevating.
There is a serious chance that Anne Aly will be a cabinet minister in the likely next Labor Government. If Sam Dastyari had not falled from grace, he would be likely joining the cabinet along with Ed Husic (an MP who swore on a Quran).

Aussie Infidel says
I am an Australian too and love my country and our free and democratic western culture. I am an atheist, but I acknowledge that Australia was founded on Judeo-Christian principles, which were also the basis for the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. However, the Muslims rejected the UDHR and drafted their own iniquitous Cairo Declaration of Human Rights in Islam. But the CDHRI is in accord with the Sharia and opposed to the UDHR and the Australian Constitution. How can Anne Aly remain a Muslim and claim to be an Australian? The two positions are completely irreconcilable.
As usual with Muslims, it’s all taqiyya and muruna – lying and deception to fool gullible kafirs who haven’t read their seditious scriptures. Thankfully though, more and more westerners are waking up to their nefarious plans. If only that would also include more politicians who could debate people like Aly in parliament.
BC says
how she was subjected to abuse and violence by a former husband.
I assume that husband was a Muslim as she is hardly likely to have married an infidel. Has she spoken about the advice given to Muslim husbands on how to ‘deal with’ their wives?
Jayell says
She was ‘becoming jaded with Australia’s (democratic) political system’. Why? And she ‘wanted to change it’? How? It would be very interesting to find out why it apparently doesn”t suit her. Or maybe she doesn’t suit Australia to judge by the mail she says she’s getting, although she doesn’t seem to have got that message.

Is “forge” used here in the same sense that Tariq Ramadan “forged” his academic qualifications ?
Jay says
Anne’s qualifications are legitimate, at least the Australian ones. However academics are blind followers of cultural marxism, identity politics, postmodernism and political correctness. Therefore; I have little respect for anybody with a PhD outside the scientific disciplines which includes Anne.
Japetto Danatelli says
Any one of us could have predicted this. Of course Aly wants to extend race discrimination to include religion, of course she wants police to be more sensitive to an invading culture, she’s perfectly in tune with the islamic agenda. I think this is obvious.
She details how she was bullied by fellow students at school because of her Arabic heritage and how she was subjected to abuse and violence by a former husband.
If she sincerely felt that way then she’d reject islam as even worse. Women are bullied in islam by the millions, deprived of their liberty and forced to hide their identity and womanhood under threat of punishment. Little girls are sexually mutilated to prepare them for a life of servitude to their male over lords. Christians and other “infidels” are “bullied” all the time just like she allegedly was, so is she really acting sincere about this?
Look, people who have truly suffered and sympathize with others don’t promote the kind of violence and hate they themselves suffered. That’s not a wholesome, genuine effort to help others. It just doesn’t add up, your average person can see this. In reality she’s a sock puppet for islam who will use any means at her disposal to silence her critics and promote islamic supremacy. Imagine if Mother Theresa had claimed to help the poor and hungry but she defended selfish dictatorships and Machiavellian policies against the poor. To me that’s what Aly is, someone whose stated beliefs and claims are inherently contradictory and reveal their true intent for all to see. We aren’t that dumb. She’s like a really bad magician that doesn’t care if we know how it’s done, just pull that rabbit out and we’re all supposed to clap like seals.

LeftisruiningCanada says
Interesting how the news article couples the ‘bullying’ she received as a child in school, with the abuse she received from her husband. They wrote that in a way which implies it was a, Australian non muslim husband.
LWAustralis says
Brilliantly put.
She comes from Egypt home of the Muslim Brotherhood, her aims are the same – promote thru stealth the Islamic agenda and do what Muslims are doing across the entire West – get into positions of power, i.e. councils (look at the UK), Parliament and anywhere that they can influence the Islamic agenda to convert the world.
Unfortunately there are far too many well meaning, ignorant Australians who have no idea of Islam, it’s history or it’s Doctrine of intolerance, hate and death. People like Aly are counting on them to assist their purpose of slowly taking control.
Jay says
Actually what Anne Aly is advocating is Labor policy (not publicly advocated as such) and that were introduced by Labor governments in both Victoria and the Australia Capital Territory.
Which is extending the provisions of section 18C and the racial discrimination act to include religion. Either that or replace the racial discrimination act with an anti-discrimination act. At the very least Labor will get Islam characterised as an ethnic group.
Section 18C of the racial discrimination act 1975.
Offensive behaviour because of race, colour or national or ethnic origin
(1) It is unlawful for a person to do an act, otherwise than in private, if:
(a) the act is reasonably likely, in all the circumstances, to offend, insult, humiliate or intimidate another person or a group of people; and
(b) the act is done because of the race, colour or national or ethnic origin of the other person or of some or all of the people in the group.
Note: Subsection (1) makes certain acts unlawful. Section 46P of the Australian Human Rights Commission Act 1986 allows people to make complaints to the Australian Human Rights Commission about unlawful acts. However, an unlawful act is not necessarily a criminal offence. Section 26 says that this Act does not make it an offence to do an act that is unlawful because of this Part, unless Part IV expressly says that the act is an offence.
(2) For the purposes of subsection (1), an act is taken not to be done in private if it:
(a) causes words, sounds, images or writing to be communicated to the public; or
(b) is done in a public place; or
(c) is done in the sight or hearing of people who are in a public place.
(3) In this section:
“public place ” includes any place to which the public have access as of right or by invitation, whether express or implied and whether or not a charge is made for admission to the place.
Japetto Danatellit says
Islam violates all of those policies in a hundred different ways. But does the government condemn the violence and hate in islam? do they take seriously the rape of our kids and women by muslims who publicly declare “behead those who slander the prophet,” and “islam will rule the world”? No, not only do they not condemn it, they encourage it. When it comes to islam we’re finding out that our laws and policies aren’t worth a sh*t if they conflict with islam’s barbaric and inhumane sharia. I don’t care who passed what, in the end what’s happening for islam is a crime against our people and it has to stop.
epistemology says
She’s got to understand that criticizing Islam has nothing to do with racism. If she is in bed with the Muslim Brotherhood or another Islamic terror organization, she is a traitor to Australia and a Trojan horse for them.
Angry Aussie says
Anne Aly is of the belief that jihadists should be embraced by society and loved just a bit more. Her “academic” view is that the reason for their upset is purely based on racism, bigotry and foreign policy. To solve their upset, she wants them all to be gifted with high paying government positions.
Her solution to addressing all issue Islam related issues is to try to extend anti discrimination legislation to include blasphemy against Islam and close down any attempt at discussion.
Anne Aly is referred to by many titles, one being “Anti Terrorism Expert”. No. She is not. She is a promotional tool for Islam and a gifted taqiyya merchant.
One of Anne Aly’s pets is a psychopath by the name of Zacky Mallah. Hopefully this gives a little insight into what Anne Aly supports. https://theconversation.com/zaky-mallah-a-cautionary-tale-of-radicalisation-and-the-need-for-belonging-43907
Is she Muslim Brotherhood? If so, not openly. Does she promote Islamic supremacy? Most definitely.
We do have a Muslim man by the name of Waleed Aly (no relation to Anne), who is a co-host on a popular television show, The Project. Ayaan Hirsi Ali is of the belief Waleed is Muslim Brotherhood.
Our Muslims in Australia a number of years back seemed to be Al Qaeda supporters and were doing deeds for Al Qaeda. The newer generation are supporters of ISIS and are at odds with the older generation. Golburn Jail in New South Wales, houses our convicted extremists. Our Al Qaeda generation are soon to be released back into society because they are reaching the end of their sentences. I predict we will have big issues when they all merge and morph into one giant ball of inbred fury.
Australia has been infiltrated by Wahhabism. We are doomed. Under Freedom of Religion, these monsters are using foreign funds to erect mosques, madrassahs, schools and masalas everywhere they can, and at a rapid rate.
JMB says
Well said thank you Angry Aussie. I certainly did not know about this woman MP until I read this article on JW. Somehow, I don’t think this woman would be happy anywhere, even back in her home country of Egypt. She has done well in Australia, a parliamentary salary and benefits are very generous. She has freedoms here that she could never enjoy an any Muslim nation yet she wants to change everything. GO HOME MS ALY! (And enjoy life as a woman back in an Islamic country)
tim gallagher says
I agree with your comments, Angry Aussie. I do disagree with you when you say, “We are doomed”. At least, I hope you are wrong on that. I believe the non-Muslims of Australia and most other non-Muslim countries will wake up, fight back and win. We’d better. I think the non-Muslims everywhere are getting mightily angry with the situation that their idiotic politicians have imposed on them over recent decades. I agree with you, JMB, Aly should bugger off back to a Muslim country and live there as a woman. If she likes Islam, surely she should love to live in a Muslim country. But, no, the she wants to impose barbaric Islam on everyone, on civilised, non-Muslim people. The usual crap.
Garfield says
I read the article at the link you provided. Absolute insanity!
Absolute. Insanity.
How can people think that jihadists join Isis because they don’t “feel included”? There is NEVER any reason that justifies joining a TERRORIST group. But apparently, some people think not seeing enough people who look like you in the media (of a foreign country that you are not from) is a legitimate reason.

As well as being a TV news presenter Waleed Aly like Anne Aly is a Muslim employed by a university to teach anti terrorism courses. Their qualifications for being experts on terrorism is that they each Muslim so their very appointments attest to the fact that ‘Violent Extremism’ is actually ‘Islamic Fundamentalism’ whereas the words which come out of their obfuscating and dissimulating mouths says there is no link
Here is an idea for Anne’s employer Curtin University in Perth AS and Wal’s employer Monash Uni in Melbourne (ironically named after a Jewish Australian general in France in WW1): Seeing as Methodists have been 100% successful in countering Violent Extremism and in it’a ‘Homegrown’ form from within the rsnks of Methodists whereas the Aly pair have not been anywhere as near as successful in preventing violent terrorism from fellow Muslims then would it not be a much better idea to have a Methodist teach your students about how to counter violent extremism?

Fine analysis, Angry Aussie.
However, I agree with Tim–I don’t believe we are doomed–not yet. There is beginning to be a lot of pushback against this Islamic insanity in Australia itself.

Fraser totally betrayed this nation. He was elected with a record majority following this countries brief experiment with socialism in the early 70s. Fraser then continued and even added to “progressive” policies of the previous government, this included of course “open borders” immigration as per your comment above. But, it seemed that most Western nations were doing the same thing at this time. Was there or is there some sort of conspiracy? Are we acting under instructions from the UN? (Almost certainly YES)

I was horrified by that, also. I liked Mr Simpkins.
Perhaps Muslim plotters looked at the demographics of the electorate, then moved en bloc into it just enough people to ‘swing’ the vote. If I recall correctly, she didn’t win by a very large margin.
Might be worthwhile looking into this sort of thing: look at where the Muslims are settling, *exactly*. Not in the obvious places like Lakemba or Auburn where they are now more than half of the population – and steadily driving out everybody else (so much for ‘diversity’, any place controlled by Muslims steadily becomes less and less ‘diverse’) – but in the *other* places, the places that are likely to elect the likes of a Luke Simpkins.
Westman says
“She said that her parliamentary office still receives hate mail and threatening phone calls.”
And I’ll wager that some of them are from Muslims who think her appearance is more like Indira Gandhi than a properly subdued Muslima wearing a hijab. It wouldn’t be in her political interest to mention those examples of intolerance among the religion of intolerance.
However, although as thoughtfully and intentionally prepared as Lady Gaga for her political career, and keeping Quran and Sunnah admonitions to jihad in the shadows, Anne Aly’s public efforts to combat the Islamic radicalizing of young people cannot be denied.
How long she can remain on the tightrope between Islam and a public losing its tolerance for Islam is a question that will be answered by the future. For now, she is a rising Australian political star, much like Obama was before seeking the US Presidency. In the end, will she do more for Muslims than Obama did for Blacks? For certain, she will do much for herself as a career politician.
Jay says
She is definitely our Obama that is for sure, she even has an autobiography being published entitled How the Felafel Did I Get Here?, published by ABC (our version of the BBC) book and she is been a backbencher for just under two years now.

tim gallagher says
SaipanSam, Jay and gravenimage, as is the case in every country in the world, Muslims are trouble out of all proportion. They are never ending trouble in Australia even with fairly small numbers. The point is often made, the commentator, Andrew Bolt, is one who often makes it, that there are around about the same number of Buddhists as Muslims and , yet, there is almost no trouble at all from the Buddhists. We don’t hear about them. When I write to our politicians here in Australia, I make that point. I say that I cannot understand why they would ever choose a Muslim migrant when they could choose a Buddhist, Christian or Jew, all of whom cause no trouble in comparison. It’s just about assessing the risk versus benefit to a society. I also include a few of the Koran’s verses calling for Muslims to kill non-believers because I am certain many politicians haven’t got a clue about Islam. On other subjects, yes, on Islam they are clueless. I think it might have even got through to a couple of politicians who seem to have toughened their attitudes in recent years, Tony Abbott being one of them. Who knows? Of course, it only works if plenty of other people keep writing to them, which I’m sure is happening. Anyway, the necessary fight goes on.
dumbledoresarmy says
Good one.
Good tactic.
I doubt that ASIO loses much sleep over the various Buddhist shrines out there in Aussie suburbia!
They do worry just a bit about communist China’s current attempts to weaponise/ manipulate *secular* mainland-chinese expats and chinese-australians.. but it’s a completely different thing, because *that* issue is something we’re allowed to discuss and identify as a threat, and it’s pretty clear there are plenty of Chinese-Aussies – not all of them of mainland Chinese origin, some are from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan – who are not at all interested in doing the bidding of the ethics-free oligarchs of the PRC. Whereas Muslims – of whatever origin, including native-Aussie converts – are all too ready to heed the summons to Jihad.
I just wish our media and politicians and pundits would apply the *same* wariness to the meddling and influence-peddling of the Ummah (notably, of certain OIC members, such as the Emirates, Indonesia, Turkey, and the Abominable House of Saud), as they are currently starting to apply – belatedly – to the influence-peddling and meddling of the PRC!
tim gallagher says
China is going to be a big problem out in our part of the world, there’s no doubt about that, dumbledoresarmy. It’s going to be a powerful, bullying force all through the Pacific. The way I see that situation is that China, a huge country with a massive population, has been waiting for ages to be a big time world power, but it kept shooting itself in the foot with things like Mao’s Cultural Revolution, etc, and now it’s time and opportunity has come. I might be wrong but I think it’d be easier to deal with China than with any Muslim country or Muslim group . Islam is a clear enemy of all our values and has been for 1400 years. It’s all very clear. It’s them or us. Our way of life or barbarism. The Buddhist and Christian Asians who’ve settled in Australia seem to me to bring a mostly positive type of diversity. Buddhism seems fairly tolerant. We can get along. Islam is the opposite. Even a small number of the Muslims, in spite of Islam’s nature, seem to turn out OK. But the problem they present in every country should be obvious to everyone by now. As I wrote above, to me, it’s all a matter of risk versus benefits. I think quite a few of our politicians are waking up although the ALP and Greens are still useless and would completely open the borders again if they get power..

Also federal Sharia Blasphemy laws would be introduced. The Greens in the Senate would support and a senator or two from the rest of the crossbench. We already have these laws in both Victoria and the Australian Capital Territory.
I don’t deny she is a Muslim Brotherhood operative like Waleed Aly. She is more skilled at reception and disciplined than say Yassmin Abdel-Magied.

It can’t even get the name of Jesus’s mother right; or even whether Jesus died at all or not. And heaven is a whorehouse for those who die in the cause of Allah. How could a prophet of God falls in lust with his own daughter-in-law, leading to his adopted son to divorce her so his adopted father can marry her? How could a prophet of God falls in love with a baby? Muhammad wanted to marry Aisha when she was a baby. He married her at the age of six and had sex with her at the age of nine. But he said he had a dream that Gabriel brought her to him as a baby wrapped in silk cloth. Is anyone that stupid to believe that this is all perfectly fine? How could a lustful and murdering thief be a perfect man?
Gaz says
Don’t for get that after all this he flew to the moon on a winged horse. How could anyone believe that?
Aussie Infidel says
Ziba, It is all due to indoctrination. Most people have no idea how powerful religious (or political) indoctrination can be. Indoctrination often fills the victim’s mind with erroneous beliefs, which the person cannot refute, because they do not have the knowledge to do so. Indoctrination creates memories (often false), which become the foundation stones of the new belief. These foundations are then built upon by actions and interactions within the family, the madrassas, the mosques and the Muslim community at large. The psychological principle of longitudinal consistency reinforces the person’s attitudes, beliefs and behaviour. In short, the longer a person behaves in a particular way, the longer they will continue to behave that way. Any new contrary information creates ‘cognitive dissonance’ (or mental anguish) which impedes the acceptance of that information. Indoctrinated people often reject any logical or rational explanations which disagree with their already established mindset. Ironically, it’s all part of our survival strategy, which in the early evolution of homo sapiens, did not involve the man-made controversy of religion. But the religions – all religions – have exploited it ever since, to exercise control over their followers. This explains why even educated people have great difficulty in shaking off supernatural beliefs acquired in the innocence of childhood. And Islam, which invokes all kinds of fears and retributions – of cruel and unusual punishments – is the master manipulator at this game.

Well now… let me guess….
She is a ‘female victim’ because of the muslim men who want to oppress her for being a woman and don’t want her in leadership roles.
She is a ‘muslim victim’ because of all the men and women who would decry the muslim men who are oppressing her, and thus islamophobically insulting her religion.
Am I right?
DragarOz says
What really gets me about all this, on a psychological level, is the gas lighting of the west in that the majority of the lefties have no problem believing in secret societies within the Christian halls (Illuminati etc) and within our own countries or that “colonialism had to end” but when confronted with similar conspiracy theories about Islam (Muslim Brotherhoods infiltration) they clam up and refuse to believe it could and does exist or the fact that the Islamic countries are much worse than colonialism ever was (how many indigenous peoples are extinct or subjugated in Islamic nations).
They have been raised in safety and security and hardly ever had to want for anything or to struggle for anything yet they want to tear down the walls.
Unforgivable level of non intelligence!

“…how many indigenous peoples are extinct or subjugated in Islamic nations”.
Exactly. Islam’s record in this regard is arguably worse than that of just about any other colonial/ imperial power in human *history*.
And ironically, some of the same people who are earnestly Islamophile are at the same time calling for the liberation of West Papua.
What they don’t realize is that majority-Muslim Indonesia’s imperial invasion, occupation, plundering and mass murder of historically-Melanesian and, at the time of the Indonesian invasion, majority-Christian West Papua, is a *classic* example of how the Ummah goes about Islamising a conquered and subjugated territory. Muslims from Java are being moved into the place en masse – hijra – exploiting, abusing, displacing, and generally mistreating the indigenous infidels. Inducements are offered to convert to Islam. There are credible stories that children – from *Christian* families – are being *stolen* and taken away to faraway Java and forcibly Islamised in madrasas (pesantren). There are stories of the burning of churches and killing of priests, whether Catholic or Protestant. I believe it!
(The indigenous non-Muslim tribes in places like Kalimantan are under similar Islamising pressure due to the hijra of large numbers of foreign – from Java, mostly – Muslims into their traditional homelands, and the wholesale plundering and destruction of their forests).

Australia’s first Muslim female MP Anne Aly skillfully plays the racism and victimhood cards
…………………
Dangerous stealth Jihadist claiming fake victimhood. Ludicrously, she poses as a “counter-terrorism expert”:
https://www.smh.com.au/lifestyle/counterterrorism-expert-anne-aly-is-australias-first-federal-female-muslim-mp-20161117-gsreyp.html
This article is full of whining, including the rather unlikely implication that no one can pronounce her name. I’m sure Australians have trouble with some Muslim names–why wouldn’t they? But “Anne Aly” would not be one of them.
Her mother also wears the Hijab. Now, I *never* judge people by what their relatives do, but she has never spoken out against forced veiling. In fact, she has defended the Hijab many times.
She also says, disingenuously, that “the same attitudes to women are shared by jihadists and white supremacists”. Note: I am *no* fan of white supremacists, but where are they engaging in FGM, child marriage, forced marriage, sacralized wife beating, “Honor Killing”, or stoning women to death?
Back to her fake victimization–like so many Muslims, she regards the horror of 9/11 as *victimization of Muslims*, not a Jihad terror attack *by* Muslims. *Ugh*.
She also seems to have offered a troubling amount of support to some Jihadists after the fact.
She also claims that Jihad is not being taught in Mosques, which is *obvious* bullsh*t.
And now, she is an Australian MP. This can’t be good.
Jay says
Anne Aly will be in the parliament for quite a while, because the polls have been showing a very strong swing to Labor in Western Australia where she represents an electorate. She is definitely future cabinet material, which is scary.
We have enough to worry about a likely Federal Labor government next year with the looming introduction of Sharia Blasphemy Laws (extending 18C of the racial discrimination act to include religion).

You can say that again. Not good for Australia.

“Anne Aly’s statements are designed to comfort and reassure non-Muslims. And they no doubt do just that, unless the non-Muslims in question are knowledgeable enough about Islam to see through them. The assertion in the article’s headline, that “there is nothing Islamic about a beheading,” doesn’t appear in the article, but in any case it is another deception: beheading is mandated in the Quran. “When you meet the unbelievers, strike the necks…” (Qur’an 47:4)”

She lies when she was an academic and now lies when she is a member of the Australian Parliament.
You would think that with her research skills as an academic and a bit of help from Robert Spencer she would come to a different conclusion about female genital mutilation.
http://www.watoday.com.au/wa-news/there-is-nothing-islamic-about-a-beheading-muslims-v-extremists-20140820-106d1c.html
“Believe in female genital mutilation? “No”
Dr Aly pointed out that most of the things I asked about were cultural practices specific to different parts of the world, not the Islamic religion.
“Female genital mutilation is not a Muslim practice, it actually pre-dates Islam,” she said.
Dr Aly said the questions also brought up the issue of interpretation………”
Jay says
Anne Aly is Egyptian where the opinion that cutting off a girls clitoris as “female circumcision” or “cleansing” or “fixing” a girl and not genital mutilation iis very common.
dumbledoresarmy says
Hm. She came from Egypt to Australia with her parents when she was *two*.
Has any journalist ever dared to ask her whether *she* was subjected to FGM, either before being brought to Australia, or … **afterward**?
Has any journalist ever dared to quote to her, to her face, preferably on air, the relevant portion of ‘Reliance of the Traveller’, as cited, translated and discussed by Rev Dr Mark Durie, which makes it quite plain that the excision of the clitoris is regarded as *obligatory* by a major, major school of Sunni Islam, the Shafiite school.. which is *the* school of Sharia that obtains across Egypt and the horn of Africa where, curiously enough, the cruellest and most complete form of mutilation of the female genitals is practised. Has she also been reminded that the * other* three schools of Sunni sharia don’t see anything *wrong* with FGM and indeed – though they don’t go so far as to call it ‘obligatory’ are strongly in favour of it?

I have listened to some of Aly’s interviews and read some of her so-called ‘academic’ papers.
She is a hate filled demagogue and a bogus ‘academic’ with a bogus degree from a bogus university- the equivalent of Georgetown Uni in the U.S. which churns out graduates that regurgitate leftist dogmas and is rife with identity politics. Of course, Aly fulfills all the intersectional identity categories, being a woman, Muslim, born overseas, NESB, etc.
Her ‘academic’ papers are devoid of reason and logic and discard any evidence that might be inconvenient to the general thrust of her papers: to completely deny any link between ‘violent extremism’ and the imperatives contained within the Koran.
She has been known to have said that young men engage in terrorist acts because they do not listen to their imams!!
And this is Australia’s counter terrorism expert??? I think most Aussies can see what she is made of.
Jay says
I agree fully with you about Anne Aly. However this sort of stuff is not limited to Edith Cowan. Even the ones such as University of Sydney, Australian National University, University of Sydney and the University of Queensland churns out graduates that regurgitate leftist dogmas and is rife with identity politics as you mentioned.
To give an example Monash University has Waleed Aly as a lecturer and working at it’s Global Terrorism Research Centre.
dumbledoresarmy says
“She has been known to have said that young men engage in terrorist acts because they do not listen to their imams!!”
What she probably means by *that*, is that they are ‘jumping the gun’ and unduly alarming – and potentially ‘waking up’ – the largely-oblivious Aussie infidels, by moving too soon and too quickly from ‘stealth mode’/ sleeper-cell mode, to *active* mode; that they should ‘wait for the signal’, wait till the ummah in Australia is more powerful and its victory more solidly assured.

The danger is that when muslims started to come to Europe, there were no muslims in parlement, so the most muslims who had status voted for the left labour parties, but not, when they have managed to get so many of their people in parlement and councils and those people have created their own parties in parlement, every muslim has run over to their own parties, and that is how in a few years we will be ruled by them, and that is how they do it, and all the coward people from the west-Europeans go along with it.Council elections have proved it already.
SILENCE IS CONSENT. !!!! How coward can you get. And people look at the NWO.
People do not think of the consequences any further, if they would have taken position in what is happening long time ago, may be, we would have had some uproar, but nothing more. Now, we will see and hope for the best, as long as it is possible for us IN OUR OWN COUNTRIES without the Sharia and all the atrocities .

Anne Aly sends or sent her sons to the Australian Islamic College of Perth where the girls wear Hijabs as part of the school uniform.
https://aic.wa.edu.au/
sidney penny says
She says it is narrow-minded to think that all Muslims women should wear the hijab. She did not grow up in a hijab environment so does not wear it.
Question for Aly would be if the girls were asked or given a choice not to wear the hijab will it then not be an Australian Islamic College?
Which means the hijab has something to do with Islam and Anne Aly interprets it a different way?
http://www.watoday.com.au/wa-news/there-is-nothing-islamic-about-a-beheading-muslims-v-extremists-20140820-106d1c.html
“In terms of covering women’s bodies, she said that this came from the Koran, which talks about women being modest.
“The idea is that you cover your modesty but what’s interpreted as modesty is different, some cover their hair with a hijab, some extend that to their face and hands,” Dr Aly said.
“Others have the more modern look and wear tight clothes and tight jeans and wear a scarf over their head,” she said.
“Some think modesty is more about your demeanour and that’s how I interpret it.
“I don’t wear it,” she said (Dr Aly is a Muslim).
She said she has often been told that she “can’t be a Muslim”.
“They say: ‘you can’t be a Muslim, you don’t believe in subjugation’ or ‘if you were a Muslim you would wear a head scarf'” which she described as a narrow minded way of thinking.”

Kasey says
She is an expert in deflecting any cause related to Islam and turning the motivation for any attack by Islamist back on the victims or having the perpetrators as victims initially, and thus what they do is reactionary.
What some Muslims really do becomes irrelevant with her. She defends any of them purely on one basis only, that they happen to be Islamic.
Although she has much research knowledge on Islam, she uses it very selectively with taqiyya, to achieve her aims. Always confuses racism with religionism and ideology as a way out of confronting reality/
Jay says
Unfortunately Ms Aly was smart enough to renounce her Egyptian citizenship before the whole section 44 fiasco started.
I agree fully with what you have said about Ms Aly Kasey, Because of all that I am genuinely frightened as her political star rises. I am hoping it will fall, however Ms Aly has showed so far she is as smart as Waleed Aly 🙁
Kasey says
I wonder how many Coptic Christian children she has interviewed who came to Australia under similar circumstances, she has interviewed for their stories of growing up here?
But would she ever do that?
It just might give her another perspective she doesn’t want to know about?
She is what she is, really by chance of family birth and subsequent indoctrination of one ideology.
Others get purely a religious indoctrination or some, fortunately, little or none at all, before the age of mental maturity. The latter ensures they have an open mind to assess for themselves about religious/ideological beliefs and attitudes,, and to accept or reject them.
She should always remember that in some of her adamant or claimed definitive statements.
Louis says
The 2nd stage of the 3 stages of jihad……..claiming being a victim!!
STAGE TWO—When there are enough Muslims and resources to defend the Islamic community, Muslims are called to engage in defensive Jihad. Thus, when Muhammad had formed alliances with various groups outside Mecca and the Muslim community had become large enough to begin fighting, Muhammad received Qur’an 22:39-40:
Permission (to fight) is given to those upon whom war is made because they are oppressed, and most surely Allah is well able to assist them; Those who have been expelled from their homes without a just cause except that they say: our Lord is Allah. . . .
Although Muslims in the West often pretend that Islam only allows defensive fighting, later revelations show otherwise.
