Muslim tourist from Turkey stabs Israeli security guard at Lion’s Gate in Jerusalem

Mar 18, 2018 12:32 pm By Robert Spencer

Jihad tourism. It could become the next big rage.

“Security guard stabbed outside Lion’s Gate of Jerusalem’s Old City in terror attack; terrorist shot dead,” JNS, March 18, 2018:

(March 18, 2018 / JNS) A security guard is in serious condition after being stabbed by a terrorist near the Lion’s Gate of Jerusalem’s Old City. The terrorist was shot and neutralized by security forces immediately following the incident, and soon after died from his wounds.

First responder Dr. Yishai Ben Uri Zilbeger said, “After being notified by United Hatzalah’s dispatch and Command center to the incident in the Old City, I arrived at the scene and found one person in their 20’s suffering from a stab wound in their upper chest. He was in serious condition. I treated him at the scene for his injuries following which he was transported from the location of the incident to the hospital for further care and observation.” The wounded security guard was rushed to Hadassah hospital on Mount Scopus by the Magen David Adom emergency services.

Q: How does an islamic terrorist remain a perpetual traveler, without setting foot outside of his cave?

A: He is always on an ego trip!

Praying the young man is well soon. If only we could take some advice from Israel. The wall has stopped the suicide bombings there. Here, it could stop illegal immigration, drug trafficking, jihadists, etc.

The Israelis have the best border security in the world, so it’s surprising that even this one mad muslim Turk slipped through. Even the best profilers can’t get them all i guess.

Somewhere, there are more muslims who will celebrate this foul creature as a shahid.

And they will be angry and want to kill those who made him one, even though being a shahid is the best any muslim can hope for.

Funny how that goes isn’t it.

True. They do screen the tourists quite thoroughly too though. I’ve known many American Christians who were grilled at the airport because it was thought they would overstay!

    “…suffering from a stab-wound in their upper chest….”
    —————————————————————–

Why is any security guard, policeman etc in Israel not wearing a stab-proof vest ?

I’d have thought that the thin, flexible stainless-steel chain-mail garments worn by abbatoir workers to guard against accidentally slashing themselves with their butcher’s knives, would have been absolutely ideal for the job.

And don’t naturalists diving in shark-infested waters also wear this type of gear ?

Why haven’t personnel in the 21st Century got the kind of protection against bladed-weapons that was commonplace a thousand years ago ?

After the death of Police Constable Keith Palmer – placed outside the Houses of Parliament in Westminster as a sacrificial-offering to jihad* – I’m staggered that any security guard isn’t properly protected, especially in Israel.

    * the entirely foreseeable and entirely preventable death of Keith Palmer is a monument to the mind-boggling stupidity and cowardice of senior officers in the Metropolitan Police, British civil servants, and politicians.

The Houses of Parliament are a blindingly obvious target for a terrorist attack, so Keith Palmer was placed on duty at a vehicle entrance. The thinking didn’t extend to what he was actually supposed to do if there WAS an attack of course; he was placed there to defend the MPs but not allowed to have a gun “because it wouldn’t look good for the tourists”. So when the attack did finally come, the poor sod got stabbed to death because he had no weapon to fight off a large, violent knife-wielding jihadi.

I don’t want to anyone to be stabbed to death, but when it does happen, I want the victims to be those who have brought this destruction upon us, and not innocent policemen, off-duty soldiers, pedestrians, tourists, or little girls attending a pop concert.

The next Keith Walker should stand aside and let them get on with it – a bit of mayhem inside Parliament is the only thing that might knock some sense into them.

(I say “might” because the more likely outcome is that all the surviving MPs, Lords etc would simply resign on the spot and demand giant pay-off bonuses for the trauma they’ve just gone through.)

Kevlar probably works better for both projectiles and sharp objects. However, since the wound was described as in the upper chest, he may have been stabbed at the base of the neck down into the chest or hit just above the bullet resistant vest. Sounds like the so called tourist got the drop on the guard. At close range, a person with a knife can get in and do serious damage before a gun or other defensive weapon can be deployed.

I do not think this will help relations with turkey one bit.

  7. G179 says

This report is inaccurate, but the reality is very sad and grim.

The man stabbed is an Israely father of four, who worked in excavations at the nearby City of David archeological site. Sadly, he has died at the hospital.

The stabber is an arab muslim from a village near Nablus, who was granted a work permit in Israel.

G179, this sounds like a different case.

Grimly, there are all too many cases of Muslims stabbing Israelis these days.

It isn’t. I was reading about it at ‘Israel National News.’

The stabbing, at the Lion Gate, was indeed carried out by a Muslim from a village near Nablus, exactly as G179 says.

The initial report – that the stabber was Turkish – turned out to be *in error*. That is the latest from the Israeli English-language media outlets that I was reading today – Israel National News, and such.

    Update from JNS

Initial media reports claimed that the terrorist was a Muslim tourist from Turkey. Israel’s Shin Bet internal security services later identified the attacker as Abd al-Rahman Bani Fadel, from Aqraba, near the Palestinian-controlled city of Nablus, also known as Shechem, in Samaria.

Israel should demolishe the mosque and build a casino. And BAN all MUSLIMS visiting Israel. As for that filthy Turk, as an Ozzie Greek, I hate Turks and all Muslims to the bone, I hope Israel gets revenge on Muslims and Muslim Turk bastards. I hope one day Israel flag is on top of Temple Mount and the Greek flag on top of Agia Sofia Constanopile. That is my dream.

I am curious if a walk thru metal detector would have found this weapon? Something similar to airports or court houses. This is also a stunning he was not more protected due to the location.. Very sad….and frightening as a plan to build a 10,000 sq foot mosque (learning center close to my city will teach the warfare doctrine and jihad attacks as moral and will insist on silence of speech to deceive.

Just the other week there Erdogan called on all Muslims to rise up to protect Jerusalem. I suppose this Turk was just doing what his very dangerous president asked him to do.
