In this new video, I discuss an incident at the University of Central Florida on World Hijab Day: a Muslim student called for the expulsion of another student for declining to wear a hijab, thereby revealing the sinister authoritarianism at the heart of the whole enterprise.
Roland says
So what’s wrong with having a purely western culture first..?
mortimer says
NOW for all the ATHEIST, AGNOSTIC and NON-CHRISTIAN students, there will be a WORLD CRUSADER COSTUME DAY.
All students MUST WEAR a 10th century CRUSADER COSTUME or be excluded from all campus clubs and receive a 5% reduction in all their grades.
How would that go down … besides calling it REPRESSIVE or FASCIST.
And no one has called HIJAB DAY “OPPRESSIVE” or “ISLAMO-FASCIST” or “PATRIARCHAL”?
The Islamic veil is the MOST patriarchal and misogynistic symbol there is. The Islamic veil is a form of GENDER APARTHEID.
Lydia Church says
Not enough!
They will be expelled.
J D S says
America has sunk so low as to have a hijab day in the first place….hijab…word not heard of not long ago…why not just go whole “hog”….no pun intended..and have a world Islamic day… and everyone dress and “act the part….how would that work.
Robin Schultz says
Wonder how “wear a CROSS necklace” DAY would go over?? Or, “STAR of DAVID”????
Maran Atha says
Agree!
Lu says
Go would it not, that’s for sure – “racist, Islamophobic, supremacist and fascist” – that would be the epithets used. Yet – we should try to stir the stinky pot a bit: to show some guts and teeth … for this appeasement and pandering has been going on way to long and reached way too far.
Johnny Cuyana says
Yep, Robin S., that would be a good one; however, in my mind, I suggest that we get the men-folk involved. If we want to celebrate truly and get ONE and ALL to appreciate fully “World Hijab Day”, my preference is for:
[a] ALL males to wear hijab … or, better yet, so as to REALLY MOVE THE SOUL regarding the complete “death cult” experience, a burKKKa or niKKKab;
[b] NO males permitted to drive ANY vehicle;
[c] NO males permitted to attend any educational classes [above 7th grade];
[d] NO males permitted out of doors unless accompanied by a female “dominant” family member;
[e] NO males permitted to associate with anyone of opposite sex … unless the said association is beforehand approved by parents;
[f] optionally, pre-pubescent males — consenting or otherwise — can be betrothed, by the sole desire of their parents, to “geriatric” strangers.
Note: none of the above would really mean much unless the males were compelled to have — how should I phrase it? — some skin in the game; where any males who so “dishonor” their family [tribe], by violating such edicts, are subject to “honor” punishment … as deemed appropriate by their female relatives. PS: no holds barred!
PS: I’m not sure that I want to go as far as advocating male-FMG … but, to be fair, that would really be “skin in the game”.
PPS: I spell burKKKa or niKKKab thusly because, whenever I see such garments — and, for that matter, this includes the hijab — my first thought ALWAYS is Ku Klux Klan; because they are BOTH totalitarian organizations which, as a matter of policy, do NOT believe that ALL people, regarding unalienable rights, are to be treated equally.
mortimer says
Interesting concept, John. In Soddy Barbarian universities, women have had to listen to lectures from a SEPARATE HALL from the men and they see and hear the lecture on CLOSED-CIRCUIT TELEVISION only… never in person.
One wonders how they can ask a question or if they can in such a restrictive system.
Women were permitted to fly an AIRPLANE in Soddy Barbaria, but they could DRIVE THEIR OWN CAR to the AIRPORT before they FLY OUT of that backward, medieval kingdom!
mortimer says
correction: but they could “NOT” DRIVE THEIR OWN CAR to the AIRPORT

Spencer made the point so well, it’s all based on a false narrative. Obviously the real oppressed muslim women in this issue are those trying to escape the hijab but suffer for it, sometimes with their life. They are the ones who need a show of solidarity. I know as a man I would not like being told I must wear a certain attire or risk being ostracized, beaten, or murdered. But that’s exactly how muslim women are treated, it’s a humanitarian crime. And I find it appalling that so many buy into this false narrative that muslim women are so seriously persecuted for wearing hijabs that we need special days of recognition on their behalf. It’s absurd and grossly ignorant in that it ignores the real victims in all this. A better thing would be for women to show solidarity with muslim women who don’t want to wear the hijab. What makes the hijab such an issue is the inherent bigotry in islam that compels women to wear it. That’s why no decent person should stand in solidarity for the hijab, because in doing that you support the bigotry and violence it represents.
Lydia Church says
That is my answer to all of that, I just wear a REALLY BIG CROSS!
Haaaa!!!
And please don’t think I’m kidding.
If that day were really about women’s rights and freedoms, then it would be a whatever you want to do and wear day. Just the fact that it is not shows that it has nothing to do with liberty, but tyranny, and islamic tyranny at that.
In response we refuse.
I also propose advocating for a cross day, just to see what sort of double speak they will come up with! And then we would do it.
We could organize it on JW.
Hari Singh says
They should say they are Sikhs as the Sikh Gurus banned hijab and veils.
People have a right to not be forced to wear religious clothes especially religious garb.
When are they having bikini day and all the Girls can wear them In solidarity with the beach girls sect LOL
David says
We are dealing with an unreasonable force. Rights have no place in their mindset.
DFD says
@Hari Singh “….having bikini day…”
Shit! I was going to suggest a World Bikini Day – ‘hate it when I am beaten to it 🙂

Better yet…Pasties and thong day!

As someone else mentioned before, when are we going to see a “World Bare Hair Day” event in which all those “Muslim sisters” out there remove their hijab for a day to show solidarity with their “non-Muslim sisters?”
Yeah, right, ain’t gonna’ happen because Islam is a one-way street. Something to think about all you non-Muslim women out there who are foolish enough to don an hijab for a day because in Musimthink baring your hair, as with baring your legs, arms, et al. makes you into a loose woman and deserving of what a Muslim man wants to do with you. Yes, the onus is on you to prevent a man from lusting for you and if you don’t take the proper precautions then what ensues is your fault. Such is the way of Islam and the sooner ALL non-Muslim women learn this the better.

I have never heard about World Hijab Day before to-day. Do anyone know who has established that day? UN?
Jack Diamond says
A New York-via-Bangladesh Muslima named Namza Khan started it in 2013 {“Nazma Khan tells us (TEARFULLY) about the persecution she faced due to her hijab”…}. Soon there was money behind it
(in 190 countries, and now a big NPO).
They are shameless enough that their website features video of “Nazma Khan, having a heart to heart group discussion about discrimination with the Holocaust Survivors at the Kupferberg Holocaust Center in Queens, NY.”
Also there is this mind-boggling endorsement from Assemblyman Weprin:
“With hate crimes against Muslim-Americans tripling in 2016, it is important we take this moment to stand together with our fellow Americans on World Hijab Day. Rooted in the American principles of religious freedom and liberty, the World Hijab Day movement seeks to end the discrimination and judgment that comes with wearing a hijab.”

If it was a so called “World Long Skirt Day” being run by some Christian sect, where the girls staffing the stalls were cajoling skimpily dressed young women to cover their legs, the reaction from the general campus population would be a little different i think.
But no, so soon as it’s islam, everybody forgets about their dearly held secular and feminist ideals, and happily submits to a much more anti-liberty theological position without a second thought.

Case 1. If a group of students who truly care about women’s rights worldwide wanted to hold a “Freedom FROM the Hijab Day”, to present the viewpoint that women worldwide should have the right NOT to wear the hijab, would the University of Central Florida’s administrators allow the event to take place?
Case 2. If the administrators refused the above request, then would they change their minds if the same students unilaterally offered (in advance and in writing) to calmly and rationally present their case at the proposed event, and to avoid loud arguing and any other kind of confrontation and aggression?
Case 3. And if the administrators still refused, would it make a difference if the same students promised in advance to refrain from even using the words “Islam” and “Muslim”, and from getting involved in a discussion of Islam?
My guess is “no” for all three cases. That’s largely because even without mentioning the ultra-violent, oppressive, humiliating, retrograde control-freak horror show that is Islam, people are slowly waking up to the reality of the oppression of women that the hijab symbolizes, and to the ugly hatred and violence inherent in Islam.
As a result, power-wielding Islamophiles are doubling down (mainly in Europe and Great Britain so far at least, but also in the US, Canada, Australia, etc.) in an increasingly desperate bid to keep the lid on dissent. Even without mentioning Islam, it is becoming ever more obvious even to brainwashed Westerners that the hijab is a symbol of misogyny, not liberation.
Parenthetically, an argument can be made that the term Islamomisia (hatred of Islam) should replace the misleading, contrived, and spurious term Islamophobia, because a phobia is an irrational fear, and fear of Islam is anything but irrational. And Islamomisia should also be defined as hatred of Islam, not hatred of individual Muslims (as some sources on the Internet already misleadingly suggest…the proper term in that case should be Muslimomisia). Otherwise the term Islamomisia will never gain broad acceptance, and any resistance to Islam’s agenda of violent global domination will continue to be more of less successfully conflated with hatred of individual Muslims, as is currently the case.
Otherwise, the term Muslimomisa should be used.
