Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Sri Lanka: State of emergency declared after Muslims murder Buddhist, violence spreads

Mar 7, 2018 10:44 am By Robert Spencer

“The violence in Kandy is understood to have been sparked when a group of Muslim men in Digana town were accused of killing a man belonging to the majority Sinhala Buddhist community, who make up about 75% of the population.”

The international media is painting this as Buddhists gratuitously attacking Muslims, as they have in the case of Myanmar. In reality, as in Myanmar, the Muslims are responsible for beginning the violence. Then when the Buddhists fight back, the media portrays them as the aggressors. There may be excesses on their side, and if so, those responsible should be called to account, but here again we see that if the Muslims had not been aggressive and violent, there would have been no problem in the first place.

“Sri Lanka declares state of emergency after communal violence,” by Michael Safi and Amantha Perera, Guardian, March 6, 2018:

Sri Lanka has imposed a nationwide state of emergency for the first time since the civil war era in response to days of violent unrest between Sinhalese and Muslim communities.

The special measures permitting soldiers to be deployed in civilian areas will initially apply for 10 days, at which point the deployment would need to be ratified by parliament, said Mano Ganesan, the Sri Lankan minister for co-existence.

“There were concerns that communal violence would spread,” Ganesan told the Guardian. “We don’t want to spread communal disharmony and hate speech.”

Arson attacks and riots have hit the central district of Kandy in recent days and there was similar violence in late February when mobs set fire to Muslim-owned businesses and a mosque in the east.

The violence in Kandy is understood to have been sparked when a group of Muslim men in Digana town were accused of killing a man belonging to the majority Sinhala Buddhist community, who make up about 75% of the population.

Muslim-owned shops were set alight in response and the violence spiralled out of control after monks from hardline Buddhist groups with a history of inciting violence in the past travelled to the town to negotiate the release of the accused men.

When they failed to do so, more fires were lit, dozens of people were arrested and a curfew was imposed in two towns in the district….

NEAR ENEMY DOCTRINE IN ISLAM … Explaining Islamic Expansionism

Jihadists have theorized about the issue of first attacking the ‘near enemy’ (adou al-qareeb) versus the far enemy (adou al bayeed) in order to remove jahiliyya (non-Islamic thought) and create an Islamic state based on Islamic ideology from which they may attack the ‘far enemy’.

Egyptian jihad theoretician Muhammad abd al-Salam Faraj wrote in “The Neglected Duty” (Al Faridah al Ghaibah) about the necessity of attacking the ‘near enemy’ first in order to create a strong Islamic base from which to attack the ‘far enemy’.

Al Qaeda at first focused on carrying out region jihads, but in 2001 shifted to attacking the US…the ‘far enemy’…then included France, UK, Belgium and Russia. ISIS wants to create ghettoes in the West as bases for demoralizing ISLAMIC ATTACKS against the host nations for Muslim migrants. The jihad-terrorists can easily lose themselves among the Muslim heard in ghettoes and those people will hide and harbor them and protect them from the police.

We see the EXACT, SAME DOCTRINE AT WORK in Sri Lanka and Burma … the NEAR-ENEMY DOCTRINE.

As a Buddhist I am very interested in this news. Buddhism is actually quite pacifistic but like all humans, once the understanding occurs that we will die if we carry on as pacifists, we must resist. I am glad they are resisting. Often times we wait too long to resist and protest. I hope they give tit for tat. It is time for that everywhere.

Leftist media does the same exact thing in America with muslime suffering and oppression and it works because they’ve been doing it for decades with blacks and their apparent horrible suffering. In America blacks kill white at far greater number than whites killing blacks but the media never reports on black on white murder. However if one black is killed by a white person we hear about it for months and we all know the black victims name.
A white guy went into a church and killed 8 blacks and everyone always mentions him to this day and a black went into a church and murdered the same amount of people and no one knows about it and no one knows his name and no one knows this even happened.
The media in America is the public relations arm of the Democrap party in America and more people seemingly are unaware of their lying than ones that are aware!?!

They simply do not belong in any civilized nation at all.

      • Savvy Kafir says

        Mar 8, 2018 at 12:26 pm

I agree, abad. Let the deportations begin. Otherwise, this attempted Muslim take-over of the West will lead to massive bloodshed and an uncertain outcome.

We need to eject them NOW, while we still have an overwhelming numerical advantage in Europe, the U.S., Canada, etc. That strength in numbers gives us a chance of accomplishing the task with less violence on either side.

Yes, it is in danger …danger of death from a sword in the hands of another. The steel of the sword may be of more value if it is beaten into a plowshare and used to cultivate the land for the benefit of all. Islam is its own worst enemy in the way that it has no tools to create a world that is not barren and unfruitful for its inhabitants. Those with fertile land will not wish to see it despoiled and those whose land has already been despoiled will seek out the land of others. Sound familiar?

Looks like the authorities in Sri Lanka do not want to take any chances with an extremely surcharged atmosphere as things could spiral out of hand and result in a “civil war”. The Rohingya crisis must be fresh in their minds too.

Time and again it has been proven in 3rd world countries that REPRISAL is the only language the jihadis understand.

  9. Peter says

    Mar 7, 2018 at 1:14 pm

Islam is inherently hostile to non-Muslims, but especially “polytheists” and “idolaters,” which is how Muslims have historically classified Hindus and Buddhists. Under Islamic law, they are offered conversion or death. There were too many Hindus for Muslim conquerors to slaughter en masse, though they certainly did their best to do so, and so they adopted a longer term strategy of Hindu annihilation. The anti-Hindu Jihad continues unabated.

The Buddhists of Central Asia and north India were largely exterminated or forcibly converted by Muslims, who typically destroyed their monasteries, the repository of Buddhism. Clearly, the Burmese understand the existential threat the Muslims and Islam pose to Buddhists. Hopefully, the Singhalese and Tamils of Sri Lanka recognize that, too. Maybe the Dalai Lama or his successor will figure it out one day as well.

If Islam was truly “tolerant” and “peaceful,” there would still be Arab polytheists. Yet, there aren’t any. Why? They were forcibly converted, enslaved, or slaughtered in the early days of “the religion of peace,” in accordance with ostensibly divine mandate and sanction.

  10. Jay says

    Mar 7, 2018 at 5:31 pm

The west should just leave both the Sinhalese and Burmese deal with their local Jihadi element. Since Muslims particularly respect strength. Since fighting back against the Jihadis is the best strategy.

    • Ray Jarman says

      Mar 8, 2018 at 3:51 am

Jay, You are so correct and I wonder if anyone else has noticed that the major news papers and even some news stations on television are covering this. Just like as you mentioned, in Burma, when the muslims are getting the s**t kicked out of them, the press all of a sudden takes notice and vilify the Buddhists. Were the Buddhists being ravaged by the muslims, I have no doubt that only the four news outlets (JW, Pam Geller, Gatestone and KGS NightWatch) would even mention this, not even on the back page.

      • Ray Jarman says

        Mar 8, 2018 at 3:53 am

I meant to say “not even on the back page would the main stream media cover it.”

      • LeftisruiningCanada says

        Mar 8, 2018 at 11:40 am

        I’m sure this is correct.

If the muslims are being pushed back, the media presents it as a large scale, interconnected, persecuting effort akin to genocide*.

if ANY other group are being attacked by muslims om jihad, it is presented as random, unconnected actions carried out by a tiny minority of loony fringe wackos who have nothing to do with islam.

(* which, because of the nature of islam, with its collective mentality gang culture, it does actually tend to be necessary for successful actions against muslims for it to be large scale and interconnected. People soon realize that to stop islamic jihad, you need to remove all the islam from an area. Of course, because the muslims force others to react like this, it plays nicely into the hands of the lefty media, who are oh so keen to feature a group being ‘oppressed’, since having what they think is confirmation of their worldview makes them feel warm and fuzzy)

  11. abad says

    Mar 7, 2018 at 7:28 pm

Moslems have no one but themselves to blame for their savage behavior, sanctioned by Allah the Great in their stench-filled Quran. Their religion teaches them to lie, hate, kill so long as there is an “Allahu Akhbar” backing it.

This is why Moslems do NOT belong in a non-Moslem majority nation. They just don’t.

  12. dumbledoresarmy says

    Mar 7, 2018 at 10:57 pm

To be totally frank: I think ALL the non-Muslims in Sri Lanka should band together and demand, of their government, that all the Muslims in their country be expelled into Bangladesh or into Pakistan, the nearest ethnically-south-Asian blighted-by-Islam nations.

Life would become much more peaceful. Sure, there will be friction – there has been violent conflict – between Sinhala (mostly Buddhist) and Tamil (mostly Hindu), and the Christians are not being treated very well by some of the Buddhists.. but compared to the mortal menace posed by the presence of Islam, those other situations are capable of resolution, live-and-let-live.

Sri Lanka would be much, much better off, in the future, if all the Muslims were expelled. Spain was much better off, after the Muslims were expelled.

The Tamil Tigers were dealt with very roughly (to say the least) despite near universal criticism and condemnation of the rest of the world. I do not think the Buddhist government will sit by idly and let another civil war start. if I was muslim there, I think I would look for a muslim country to move to. Guy Forester, you say

“The Tamil Tigers were dealt with very roughly (to say the least) despite near universal criticism and condemnation of the rest of the world.”

Being an Indian Tamizh myself, i tell you they got what they deserved. You are not aware how scheming and power hungry Prabhakaran the LTTE leader was. He killed of virtually all moderate leaders like Padmanabha, Pottu Amman etc etc and wanted absolute unchallenged power. He utilized women and children as shields. Most of all he was instrumental in killing our ex PM Rajiv Gandhi(Not a fan of him). He prevented his cadre from marrying while he himself married and had a son. He married according to Tamil Hindu rites nut later converted to Christianity due to pressure from those organizations. What does the international community know about him? Do they know him more than us? We have seen Tamizh refugees from Trinconamalee in Sri Lanka in refugee camps in TN. We have heard virtual horror stories from them. How their sons were forced to join the LTTE, and if not how their mothers and daughters were raped at gun point, how their menfolk were blinded with hot searing irons. I shake in fear even now.

On the other hand the international community especially those in the West, just conducted conferences in plush hotels railed about the injustices etc etc. Yes the Sinhalese committed terrible war crimes on Tamils, my people. But Prabhakaran though started with good intentions and purpose became a monster later that even many of the LTTE top brass started to leave

Sharyati, Excellent information and thank you and by the way, are you from Kerala or even Wellington Island. I had a fantastic visit to Kerala when I was a very young soldier on leave from Vietnam. I have a question which is if the Tamil Tigers were from the state o Kerala and not from Tamil Nadu, why were they named “Tamil Tigers?” I also remember reading that the state of Kerala possessed the highest literacy rate when I was there in 1969.

        • Sharyati says

          Ray Jarman,
I am from the southern state of Tamil Nadu(TN) that shares a Western border with Kerala I had said, “We have seen Tamizh refugees from Trinconamalee in Sri Lanka in refugee camps in TN”. OK i see my error now!!! TN means Tamil Nadu. The LTTE is not from TN or Kerala, states in India, but from Sri Lanka., The acronym expands to

          “Liberation of Tamil Tigers Eelam”.

Now the word Eezham in Chaste Tamizh means Sri Lanka, more specifically the areas where Tamizhs reside there. The Tamizh those people speak is far more archaic and more pure than theTamizh spoken in my state Tamil Nadu in south India but the language itself is as old as Sanskrit(Approx 3500 years). This is because may be of the British influence in the erstwhile Madras presidency.

Yes Kerala is one of the states having highest literacy, but i for one believe that more than having plain literacy(Just the ability to read or write without critical thought) one needs to be educated and knowledgeable. In this respect TN is far ahead.

          .

        Sharyati,

Thank you for all of the details. Yes, I was aware that the LTTE was committing many atrocities. I believe they also used suicide vests carried by women to murder a number of world leaders. Similar to the techniques of the Viet Cong, the LTTE terrorized defenseless civilians and made sure there was no organized opposition to their rule. Unfortunately, the mainstream press has nearly always ignored the atrocities of so-called “freedom fighters” and painted them as Robin Hood heroes.

Meanwhile anyone that dared to stand up to such terrorists and quell their rebellion was demonized. Myanmar and Sri Lanka are doing the right thing, but it won’t be pretty. Unarmed civilians ALWAYS get caught in the middle, by design. If we had not bombed Germany and Japan as was done in WW2, we would have lost. They never hesitated to attack defenseless civilian targets as a means to cow their targets of aggression into capitulation.
