Commander Dean Haydon, head of Scotland Yard’s Counter Terrorism Command, said: “On the one hand he was appearing to engage with the (Prevent) programme but he kept secret what he was planning and plotting. We describe him as a lone actor.”
The “Prevent” program is the UK’s counterterror program, and it’s just as willfully ignorant and fantasy-based as you might expect, although that doesn’t keep Islamic leaders in Britain from denouncing it as “Islamophobic.” In any case, this is yet another indication of how ineffective it is. Ahmed Hassan was “appearing to engage” with it, and officials probably thought he had become a good “moderate,” as they had him under no surveillance. All the while, he is assembling bomb ingredients. “War is deceit,” said Muhammad. “Please deceive us and tell us what we want to hear, and we’re guaranteed to believe it,” say British officials.
“Parsons Green terror attack: Teenager Ahmed Hassan found guilty of Tube bombing attempted murder,” by Martin Evans, Telegraph, March 16, 2018 (thanks to Mick):
An Iraqi asylum seeker has been found guilty of attempted murder over the Parsons Green Tube bombing.
Ahmed Hassan, 18, who came to Britain illegally in 2015, had denied intending to cause harm with the blast, telling jurors he made the device as a cry for attention.
He claimed he was “certain” it would not explode, having tested a sample on the kitchen table – and maintained that the idea of killing someone had never crossed his mind.
But the prosecution said the student was moved by “anger and hatred” when he planted the 400g of ‘Mother of Satan’ explosives on a packed District Line carriage on September 15 last year.
Hassan was known to the authorities having told Home Office officials he had been ‘trained to kill’ by Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (Isil).
He was taken in by foster parents Penny and Ron Jones MBE, and studied media and photography at Brooklands College in Weybridge.
Hassan was also enrolled on the Government’s de-radicalising, Prevent, programme, but counter-terrorism officers, claimed he had deviously kept his evil intentions secret.
During his trial at the Old Bailey, it was revealed that he had told a college mentor it was his “duty to hate Britain”,after his father was killed in Iraq.
But Hassan, who had been living with foster parents in Sunbury-on-Thames in Surrey, had denied attempted murder and using the chemical compound TATP to cause an explosion that was likely to endanger life.
He was convicted by a unanimous verdict and will be sentenced next week.
Following the verdict, Commander Dean Haydon, head of Scotland Yard’s Counter Terrorism Command, confirmed that a review into the Prevent programme in Surrey was now taking place with a view to implementing “any necessary recommendations”.
Mr Haydon said: “I describe Hassan as an intelligent and articulate individual that is devious and cunning in equal measures.
“On the one hand he was appearing to engage with the (Prevent) programme but he kept secret what he was planning and plotting. We describe him as a lone actor.”…

Thank you, jihad3tracker. I’ve seen a lot of Bill Warner videos, but didn’t know he had a dedicated site.

This Muslim TERRORIST should be sent to GITMO BAY for the rest of his life as a guest from H.M.GOVERNMENT

No, just send him to his 72 virgins and be done with it. It is cheaper and safer.

He reads the same “Kill them wherever you find them” book as 1.6 billion other lone actors.

The pattern never changes in our leader’s response to these muslim terrorists. The ideological motivations are ignored for a more exonerating excuse like they were mentally ill, or a “lone actor,” or culturally incompetent. Never mind the 1400 years of islamic history that shows conclusively that islamic doctrine is the motivating force behind virtually all acts of terror by muslims. Obviously muslims have embraced the violence of allah and muhammad because it serves them well, it’s holy writ to them. It was a powerful nail and shrapnel bomb, so his claim he didn’t want to hurt anyone is a farce. He was intelligent and claimed to have been trained by ISIS, and even if that was a fabrication (as was later claimed) it shows where his mind was at. He also had a black IS flag in his room, tangible circumstantial evidence that he was attracted to or sympathized with that group’s criminality. It’s too bad about his father being killed in Iraq, but a lot of kids live with no fathers without attempting mass murder. In the end Green (the muslim terrorist) said he did it because,
“It was a fantasy. I was bored. I wanted attention.”
But as Ms Morgan told the jury: “You can be sure it was not an act of attention-seeking or boredom. This was someone who wanted to cause death and damage and make good his escape.”
And no doubt she’s right. Further, given his muslim heritage and his IS leanings I think we can safely say that boredom was not the primary motivator. More likely it was like all the rest, one of anti western sentiments grounded in the teachings of his native religion and culture, the same religion and culture that is growing and thriving right under our noses.

————————————————————————
A pity Dean Haydon isn’t a bit more “intelligent and articulate” – that way, he’d know that Ahmed Hassan is a person rather than an object, and that he means “WHO is devious and cunning…”
As for Hassan’s “cry for attention”, with any luck he’ll soon be getting all the “tension” he can handle and can cry as much as he wants….

The fact is that everything he told everyone before and after his arrest was a pack of lies and he has freely confirmed this. His woeful tales of his deceased parents is as likely to be true as his claim to want to become the new David Attenborough as a wildlife photographer, ignoring the fact that DA is not a wildlife photographer and that building bombs is not a known stepping stone to the fantasy career he told police he sought. Inwardly he much have chuckling to see police dutifully writing down the drivel he spoke.
The fact is that ‘PREVENT’ is useless in attempting to identify or ‘cure’ terrorists intent on doing harm to the West. It is as misguided as the attempts to ‘cure’ homosexuals. It simply isn’t going to happen and the only thing it does is conch Jihadists that they are dealing with incompetent fools. Anyone deserving of ‘PREVENT’ can only be dealt with by a plane ticket and an order to leave the country.

So much for Trudeau and his poetry and music reintegration program. If it doesn’t work in the UK it sure as hell isn’t going to work in Canada.

Honest Ali, thank you for the information, I’m struggling to see why some commentators on here are getting annoyed with you, apart from the fact their imaginary friend in the sky is called a different name. You are correct, Mohammed stole his ideas from Christianity and Judaism and his uncle helped in this process, therefore, it would stand to reason, there are going to be similar / same words in the Quran. I find your comment regarding pre-Islamic Christians using the word Alaha will assist me when confronted with dogmatic Muslims. Too JawsV, why get angry regarding evidence, only religious people do this because evidence is not the friend of religion. This is due to the fact “all religions make very big claims with very little evidence” Christopher Hitchens

Psycho Ali insulted me many times. He’s an arrogant jerk. So, mind your own camelwax. No wonder you’re an atheist. Nutcase.
Practicing atheist says
JawsV; You are the one throwing insults around, do you know how thick you sound. What do you mean by ” no wonder you’re an atheist?”
Yeah , you’re right, only trusting science and evidence I’m a nutcase.
Where as your imaginary friend who hears all your thoughts is a far more rational way of thinking.
I suppose you’re peaceful as well JawV and anybody who disagrees will pay a heavy price.
Keep taking the tablets mate

You’re a moron and a sociopath. That you continue the insulting idiocy started by Psycho Ali proves it. You’re thick. Dumb as a post. Take your “imaginary friend” crap and shove it you moron. Psycho Ali started it. Do you get it? No, he hasn’t targeted you. You wouldn’t like it if he did. F U! Keep taking the tablets mate! No, it’s those who disagree with Psycho Ali who pay the heavy price. He’s a sociopath, so are you.
You just can’t stop, can you? No, I didn’t think so!

Maybe Commander Dean Haydon should read Mr. Spencer’s “The Truth About Muhammad.” Had he read it he would have discovered that perfidy is part of the cult’s warfare. He would have understood that the Banu Qaynuga proclamation instructed muslims to be patient an forbearing as Gabriel told muhammad that he may lie in the name of allah. He should have know that Ahmed Hassan was pulling a sham with no intention other than jihad. The sooner that all of our elected officials and their underlings understand that no muslim can be trusted, the better and if not many of us are doomed.
LeftisruiningCanada says
It is a shame that you are right about this Ray.
I’m sure we would all rather not have to assume the worst about anybody, muslims included, but it’s right there in their texts, their history, and the example of the one they revere as the perfect man.
When a group has in their manifesto that they will do whatever it takes in all ways to defeat their enemies, there might be a sound case to be made for presuming guilt until proven innocent, at least so far as lying goes.
And saying that goes completely against everything i believe in.
