This is why Western nations should never under any circumstances allow sharia or any portion of it: it is abusive to women, who are regarded as inferiors. It is in contravention to the democratic principles of free societies, which protect the human rights and equality under the law of all citizens. The UK has over 85 sharia courts. In one, approval of a sentence of honour killing was handed down; in others, women are being sent back to abusive husbands, sometimes under life-threatening circumstances.
The West is moving backward, as it is being flooded with unvetted Muslim migrants.

The ABC has spoken to women about their struggles to dissolve an Islamic union.
They have blamed Muslim imams for dismissing their concerns about domestic violence.
While a Muslim man can divorce his wife by saying ‘I divorce you’ in Arabic three times, women have a much harder time in Australia getting permission to be allowed a separation.
The ABC investigation into religion and domestic violence heard from one woman, known by the pseudonym of Noor, who endured a husband yelling at her in front of their children for the way she cooked dinner.
He also beat her when she confronted him about how he had limited her ability to access bank finances, and threatened to take another wife, even though Australia doesn’t recognise polygamy.
‘I’m allowed to marry four women,’ he told her.
‘You have to change your Western mentality.’
Noor told the ABC she visited the Board of Imams Victoria, in the inner-city Melbourne suburb of Coburg North, to apply for an Islamic divorce.
The woman, who wore a niqab during their decades-long marriage, also supplied them with a secret audio recording of her husband’s outburst…..
