The British authorities seem intent on criminalizing wartime activities, hence their ongoing persecution of Robert Campbell, who has been repeatedly cleared of wrongdoing in this matter. This is part of the ongoing May government program of appeasing and accommodating Islamic groups, and enabling Islamic supremacism and the spread of Sharia while turning a blind eye to the preaching of jihad, all to win Muslim votes. Theresa May’s self-serving short-sightedness will cause future free Britons, if there are any, to curse her name.
“Army major facing new court threat over death of Iraqi 15 years ago,” by Robert Mendick, Telegraph, April 3, 2018:
An Army major facing his eighth investigation into the death of an Iraqi 15 years ago is being threatened with legal action over his refusal to take part.
Major Robert Campbell has told the Iraq Fatality Investigations (IFI) inquiry he will not attend and is refusing to give evidence.
Major Campbell, 45, has complained he has already been investigated seven times over the drowning of Said Shabram, 19, and cleared of wrongdoing. He gave a statement to Royal Military Police over the death more than a decade ago and does not want to go through the ordeal of giving further evidence.
Major Campbell, who has been awarded medals for gallantry, suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and suffered…

I think if he doesn’t have a lawyer, he must get one. Now he is being bullied. Not acceptable. He has run this gauntlet before and found innocent.
Why exactly have they put him in the bull’s eye? Is it because he is physically or psychologically damaged and no one can speak on his behalf?
Britain is a LIC, Lost Islamic Country, and white people should abandon it.

If the Traitors are so worried about the rights of the invaded why did Those sons of bullsht invade Iraq in the first place. … didn’t they know that in the process of any invasion people, innocent people will be killed. . . . “collateral damage” for a higher cause of establishing Strict islamic governments in Iran, Afghanistan. Iraq, Libya, Nigeria. “They” also tried in Tunisia, and Egypt but failed.
Now islamic govs are budding in Sweden, France, Germany, Britain and every western country.

Surely this is against the law. He should try to emigrate to Israel. They would leave him in peace

Do they not have any rules against double jeopardy over there? Or is it different for the military?
utis says
That occurred to me, too. But Europe seems to lack many legal rights we take for granted here, thanks to our miserable, rotten, slave-owning Founders.

Well expressed, utis.

I don’t believe they do have Double Jeopardy, but even if they did – its irrelevant in this situation. He has been cleared on 7 separate occasions over 7 separate inquiries. You have to be convicted of the crime at hand, in order to be protected by Double Jeopardy, as far as I’m aware – but I’m not the legal expert here. This guy has been found innocent of all charges every single time he’s been hauled in front of every inquiry.
This poor buggar is just a whipping post, basically. He’s been utterly dragged to hell and back by his own country because of ambulance chasing lawyers and a spiteful and greedy family of the guy who died (he drowned, because he couldn’t swim, after he bolted into the river, trying to get away from the military unit who had caught him looting during the Iraq War.).
The Iraqi family have been promised endless riches by the ambulance chasing lawyers in the UK, the MoD and Whitehall are all completely cowed because of public perception against the Iraq War and the UK’s involvement at the hands of Tony Blair – which is why they’ve allowed years of witch-hunting against British Soldiers.
This poor man has given everything to his country and his country has spat on him, repeatedly. Apparently he returned his medals to Buckingham Palace last year in disgust of the way he and his fellow soldiers have been treated over this affair. I don’t blame him. I’d hate them all, if I were him.

Double jeopardy is when you are tried and found innocent, they can’t try you again. It doesn’t have anything to do with a conviction.
mortimer says
Please note: the term is ‘not guilty’, rather than ‘innocent’. ‘Not guilty’ does not mean ‘innocent’.
They are overdoing it here.

Our military is in a doubly poor position as our Government did not sign up to the agreement conferring immunity against actions of this nature occasioned while on active service, which most of the EU member states have signed up to. Therefore our soldiers are exposed to lawyers chasing them for money on behalf of “wronged” Iraqi clients whereas other nationalities also in the field of action are exempt.
We have had a whole slew of these dreadful cases and in one instance a lawyer was shown to have lied and deceived in order to make thousands of pounds out of them.
I simply cannot make out what is the guiding principle of our Government these days – everything going wrong in our country reflects the unbelievable incompetence of the woman running it, Theresa May.
Its a wonder to me that anyone even bothers to join the Army any more.
mortimer says
Horrid. The UK govt. has an obligation to defend and protect its soldiers from frivolous suits.

“Major Campbell, who has been awarded medals for gallantry, suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and suffered…”
That’s probably from the treatment he’s received from the British government over this matter, not the combat. The US should offer him political asylum rather than Muslim jihadis.
mortimer says
It’s truly horrid to put a hero through multiple trials for the same incident. ENOUGH ALREADY!
The judge should dismiss the case. Campbell doesn’t have to speak to the investigators. He has already done so.
mortimer says
If this is the way UK treats its BEST SOLDIERS, it doesn’t deserve to have any.
Baucent says
The Iraqi Fatality Investigations inquiry sounds like a typical British politically motivated inquiry that will rake over the coals once again and come up within nothing new. Campbell may not be charged or face charges, but being pressed to give evidence again for an inquiry set up to placate the left wingers. Quite rightly Campbell has decided he has said enough and wants to move on with his life.

If a countries leadership and media is thoroughly corrupt and hell bent on the destruction of said country, they had better hope that the military is like minded in their social and political objectives. Whoever has the military, has the country.
