Piety enforced by the threat of legal punishment is not piety, it’s just outward conformity based on fear.
“Iraq to prosecute people violating Ramadan fast in public,” by Mohamed Mostafa, Iraqi News, May 24, 2018 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Iraqi authorities will prosecute people violating the Muslim daytime fasting rituals.
The Interior Ministry said in a statement on Thursday it was “taking legal measures against people publicly breaking their fast (during day time) and refer them to the judiciary”….
The ministry added it emphasized on closing alcoholics stores and restaurants during fasting times, with exceptions made for restaurants at factories, student hostels and tourist-class restaurants on highways.
The closures will cover coffee shops, and it is also “not allowed to run artistic shows or any activities that do not correspond to the sanctity of the holy month”, according to the statement.

I thought that we have liberated Iraq and made it modern democracy. Ah, well, we did, now is the same in UK, Germany, Sweden as is in Iraq…

Yep
.more stupidness in Islam…more stupidness in playing war…..War should be to completely eradicate the enemy…Ie WWII…After WWII everything went down hill and is still rolling faster and faster…..

There are ‘alcoholics stores’ in Iraq?

Probably just a remnant of old diversity-loving, difference-tolerating U.S. influence. They’re cleaning it out fast — along with locals who share that attitude.

Christians have long had shops that sell liquor. But more and more, they are being targeted–often violently–by Muslims.

As an American it’s hard for me to imagine living in a theocratic society where some retarded goons get to tell me when and what I can eat. I never thought much about all this until muslims brought this insanity to the west and they started killing us for it. It’s even harder for me cuz I’m an agnostic who strives for rationality in thinking, so even if allah weren’t a retarded psycho killer I’d probably reject it as superstition to be avoided. It’s frightening to think this barbarity has taken over Britain, where good people are punished for even expressing truths about this phony religion. They really are becoming a sharia-compliant nation and I find that shocking. Are the people of Britain and other western nations truly willing to be humiliated and enslaved for a retarded and violent religion? are they willing to sacrifice 500 years of human rights growth and enlightenment to appease a demon invented by a fool? It is my fervent hope that once good people truly realize what’s at stake they’ll rise up in their own defense. Westerners have already given up so much for muslims, their neighborhoods, their kids and women to rape, our welfare, our security, our cultural identity, our freedoms, and our very lives. At what point do we start respecting ourselves enough to make it stop? We can no longer ignore the absurdities of islam in muslim countries because we too are becoming muslim countries. Islam is a monster and its tentacles are wrapping around the world. I think we need to get a big pitch fork and start poking that beast in the eye.

You’re so right about that. Then again, if your “best example” is a murderer/robber/pedo you’re probably not going to be a moral Einstein, lol. I’ve had many dogs, it breaks my heart to see such cruelty. But I have to accept that people who are willing to terrorize and murder humans for some made-up demon are probably not going to care much about animals, either. Islam forbids dogs as unclean animals, a supreme irony since dogs truly are faithful animals and called “man’s best friend.” Could we way the same about muslims who live true to islam? I don’t think so, because in the end they will serve that demon before they serve their fellow human beings who aren’t muslim. And I think that’s a sad fact we all better accept sooner rather than later. Or we die.
Japetto Danatelli says
LOL, sorry about that, I’m on the wrong post. EMbaRRRasssing… lol

As long as US policy accommodates Islam, pretending it’s not the problem, Islamic countries will always be dangerous sh*tholes, no matter how blood and treasure we pour into them.
And if Islam is the problem, that means forced Islamic proscription is the only long view solution. We’re not required to tolerate an ideology that pursues our extermination.
Debi Brand says
Hey. D.T.
It is not, necessarily, “our extermination” they seek; we would be allowed to become citizens of the Muslim nation if we so decided.
Not only is that option also available to us but so too is subjugation, should we so choose to, as the “books” say, stay upon our religion, as long as we acknowledge Islam’s supremacy, subjugated and humiliated before it, and in that state, pay our jizyah.

Islam will never be able to compete in the international marketplace because most businesses have to close at least during the day for 1 month each year,
And if they get paid leave during this time
The business goes bankrupt.
Islam forces less taxable revenue and slows and represses the free market during Ramadan. Each year the entire agricultural throughput of Islamic countries has to be altered, to account for less food being consumed… this stifles economic growth overall in comparison to the total capitalist systems of mechanized farming and mass food production…evidence of this is the enormous amount of different produce available in western markets, when compared to what food may be available from the desert oasis or Allahu Snackbar..
melek-ric says
Actually, most Muslims eat MORE during Ramadan and actually gain weight during the month, due to excess consumption during evening iftars along with metabolic derangement from irregular food intake and dehydration. The incidence of kidney stones increases markedly in Islamic regions during Ramadan, for similar reasons.

They don’t fast. It’s gorge, nap, gorge more after sundown. Delaying and rearranging your eating habits aren’t the same as giving up food. And for what? To celebrate a mass murdering child rapist.

I look at this kind of event and say, “Why did our men die for this crap?” We need new political parties to protect us from this — not the 20th century bred, vote-whoring groups who preach high-minded BS just to keep themselves in power.
I worry that new parties might breed fascist spawn, but we already have the Antifa. America needs 21st century parties.

I was fasting until Ramadan, for reasons having nothing to do with anybody’s theology. Since Ramadan began I’ve made a habit of going to the donut shop at noon, taking out a pastry, and walking down the main street of my town publicly savoring that donut. Who would have thought that such a mighty thing as freedom lives in a deepfriend doughball?
WESTPAC Spy says
Well, we wrote their constitution, didn’t we? Invading Iraq was the right thing to do. But not the f***ed way we did it. I could have planned it better than General “Pottery Barn” Powell. Why wasn’t I asked?
WESTPAC Spy says
There are two reasons. The first is iron clad. The formal rule is that the intel guys never tell the ops guys what to do. The rule is we present the information, they decide what to do about it.
,
The informal rule, as we see in the Trump bait and switch investigation, is the a#! covering b#st#rds over classify everything so the can blame their bad or even criminal decisions on the accurate intel they had all along. “It was an intelligence failure.”
And, …now we can’t talk about it, sez the criminal bull&&&&ers.

This reminds of accounts where an individual travels to another country and brings home “creatures” in their clothing, their baggage, etc. Even seeds and spores from plant life can attach to clothing and skin and be displaced.
Americans and Brits and Canadians, and Frenchmen went to Iraq to plant freedom of choice. Much blood was spilled and money spent to “free” the people from Sadam Hussien. (I may not have spelled his name correctly, but he can’t care now).
The people are not free and their pestilence has been transferred from there to all of the countries from whence the soldiers originated. And the pestilence still grows in Iraq.
To be told what I can eat, when I can eat, and that I will go to jail if I break the rules….That is not freedom. That is not “faith.” That is dictatorship.
Human bodies were meant to consume food and drink during the daylight hours. Humans were not designed to go without food while working and thinking and being active, and then when the earth turns away from the light, eat like a staring animal.
islam is perverse. In all its rules, in all of its activities, in all of its evil. The people of Iraq are not free. Even if they show a finger with ink or paint. They are slaves to the devil through islam.

And both a common and acceptable form of Islam — outward display of it — rendered my many, on the record, since as early as Sa’d b. Mu’ahd’s embracing of Islam and his subsequent then “sharing” his Islam with his tribe. Pre-hijra days of Islam.
