During his remarks at the opening of the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem yesterday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: “Dear friends, what a glorious day. Remember this moment. This is history. President Trump, by recognizing history, you have made history. All of us are deeply moved, all of us are deeply grateful.”
By recognizing history, you have made history. Yes. Recognizing history is a difficult but essential thing to do. In America today, making people forget is a big business. Schoolchildren today are not taught to recognize history; in fact, they’re taught just the opposite. They don’t learn that Jerusalem is the historic city of the Jews, or that Israel is the Jewish homeland. They don’t learn that the Islamic jihad against the Jews has been going on since long before the modern State of Israel was founded, and indeed, for 1,400 years. Instead, they learn fictions about a fictional nationality, the “Palestinians.” They learn that Islam is peace, that Islam has been a beacon of light and tolerance throughout the world, and that Jews flourished under Islamic rule in a way they never did in Christian lands.
These are lies. Yet they are universally told, and it those who are telling them have a vested interested in making sure that you do not remember or recognize history. To counter them, I wrote The History of Jihad From Muhammad to ISIS.
This is the first and only book in the English language to provide a comprehensive history of the jihad not just against Europe, but worldwide, including India; it is also the first that I know of to situate the founding of the State of Israel and the Israeli/Palestinian conflict within the larger history of the global jihad.
To avoid the biases of contemporary historians and their failure or refusal to recognize history, I relied almost exclusively upon, and quote extensively from, historians and chroniclers who were eyewitnesses of the events described, or who are writing about them shortly thereafter. In The History of Jihad From Muhammad to ISIS, you’ll discover:
- When Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, uttered the fateful words, “Kill any Jew that falls into your power”;
- The ancient Muslim massacre of the Jews that the Gaza protesters have invoked this week as they threaten a new genocide of the Jews;
- The “rightly-guided caliph” who vowed that no Jew would be allowed to live in Jerusalem;
- The Berber queen who defeated the Muslims in North Africa, and whom they so hated and feared that some insisted she must be Jewish;
- The Muslim leader who commanded that the Jews must wear on their shoulders a patch bearing the image of an ape;
- “Do not consider it a breach of faith to kill them”: the Muslim poet who initiated a wholesale massacre of Jews in “tolerant” Muslim Spain;
- The renowned Jewish leader who said of Muslim Spain after he escaped it: “No nation has ever done more harm to Israel”;
- The Muslim leader who forbade Jews even to wear shoes;
- Why the Israeli/Palestinian conflict is not really a dispute over land, and will never be solved by negotiations;
- Much, much more.

How many times is Palestine mentioned in the Koran?
A: Palestine is not mentioned one single time in the Koran. The author of the Koran seems only refers to ‘Israel’.
JERUSALEM AND ISRAEL IN THE BIBLE
How many times does Israel occur in the New Testament?
A: The words ‘Israel’ and ‘Israelite’ occur 77 times in the New Testament.
How many times does Jerusalem occur in the New Testament?
A:Jerusalem occurs 146 times in the New Testament and its synonym ‘Zion’ occurs 7 times.
How many times does Jerusalem occur in the Old Testament?
A: Jerusalem (and its alternative Hebrew names “Zion”, City of David, City of the Great King, Salem) appear 850 times in the Old Testament. This frequency reveals that Jerusalem is of supreme importance as the homeland of the Israelites.
Moreover, the phrase ‘from Dan to Beersheba’… which refers to all the territory contained in Israel … occurs 9 times in the Old Testament.
How many times is Jerusalem mentioned in the Koran?
A:Jerusalem is not mentioned one single time in the Koran. The Koran has no concern whatsoever about Jerusalem. The focus of the Koran is the ‘Forbidden Mosque’ and its location is never named. The Umayyads under Abd al-Malik tried (unsuccessfully) to change the religious center from Mecca/Medina to Jerusalem. No Arab thought Jerusalem was of importance to the Arabian cults. Arabs have almost entirely ignored Jerusalem. Mosques in Damascus and Baghdad and other shrines were more important.
How many times is ‘Israel’ mentioned in the complete Bible?
A: ‘Israel’ is mentioned by name 52 times in the complete Bible.
How many times is ‘Israel’ mentioned in the Koran?
A: The name ‘Israel’ is mentioned 46 times in the Koran.’The Children of Israel’ are mentioned 20 times in the Quran frequently in the context of ‘The Land’ of Israel. In other words, in almost every instance in the Quran in which the word “Israel” occurs, it is a reference to the ‘Land of the Jews’. The Koran consistenly deems Israel the divinely appointed territory of the Jewish people, their rightful inheritance and sacrosanct property as decreed by Allah. The name ‘Palestine’ occurs ZERO times in the Koran. That is food for thought for those fighting to create a brand new country called ‘Palestine’, since the ‘eternal, perfect, and complete’ book of Allah never mentions ‘Palestine’, but mentions ‘Israel’only. Not only that, but Allah specifically bestows the land of Israel to Moses and his people and even specifically commands the ‘Banu Israil’ to ‘dwell in the Land’. (Koran 5:20–25) And remember, Allah makes NO mistakes or omissions and Allah’s words are valid for all time. The Koran contains no contradictory verse on this topic.
How many times is Palestine mentioned in the Koran?
A: Palestine is not mentioned one single time in the Koran. The author of the Koran seems only refers to ‘Israel’.

It’s the ‘furthest mosque’ as opposed to the forbidden mosque. It was Caliph Omar upon sacking Jerusalem in 637 AD (after Big Mo’s death) that declared the ruins of the Jewish temple the very site of this ‘furthest mosque’.

Palaistine is a Greek word. Greeks ruled way before Rome and all the ‘West’ in those days understood Greek with their own language. Greeks called Israel (Yisrael) Palaistine as it means the same thing in Hebrew as Greek. Palaistes in Greek is wrestle/struggle. Yisra in Hebrew is wrestle/struggle. It refers to Jacob who wrestled the power (angel) called el or Elohim. Then Jacob was called Yisra el. The Greeks called the Hebrew Palaistine=followers (ine) of the one who Wrestled. Philistine is a Greek word too, for the Sea people from the Aegean who invaded Gaza even before the Greeks. It means Crude or without culture. The Septuagint (old Testament) was translated from Hebrew into Greek. Rome read Greek. When Rome conquered they called all the Levant (French) Palaestina with Latin spelling. No one inside used the foreign ‘western’ name as they has their own language. (though all educated Jews knew Greek too) When the HIjaz joined with some other regions and became Arabia, they called the Levant, Sham. Arabic has no P in its alphabet. So when they heard about Philistines they called them Filistine and they called Palaestine Falistine. When people say Free Palestine the real meaning of that statement is actually Free Yisrael. In Greek and in Hebrew. There is a lot people have not kept up with. When Yisrael split into North and South, the South was most known for Judea & Jerusalem where the holy records and scrolls were written up. When the Babylonians captured people of Judea they called them Jews. Persian King Cyrus finally helped them get back and helped rebuild the 2nd Temple.(that was before Persia was conquered by Arab Islam.)

Palestine is Israel – the same place. The Roman Emperor Hadrian changed the name of Judea in 135AD and merged it with Roman Syria to form Syria Palaestina. Jerusalem was renamed to Aelia Capitolina. Jerusalem has never belonged to the Jews or the Hebrews exclusively. The Torah states clearly that the Lord of Israel decreed that the temple city belongs to all nations to come and worship in his name.

Silence to this day….

And [mention, O Muhammad], when Moses said to his people, “O my people, remember the favor of Allah [God] upon you when He appointed among you prophets and made you possessors and gave you that which He had not given anyone among the worlds. O my people, enter the Holy Land which Allah has assigned to you and do not turn back and [thus] become losers.” [Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:20-21]
They said, “O Moses, indeed within it is a people of tyrannical strength, and indeed, we will never enter it until they leave it; but if they leave it, then we will enter.” [Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:22]
Two men among those who feared [disobeying the people upon whom] Allah had bestowed favor said, “Enter upon them through the gate, for when you have entered it, you will be predominant. And upon Allah rely, if you should be believers.” [Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:23]
[The Israelites] said, “O Moses, indeed we will not enter it, ever, as long as they are within it; so go, you and your Lord, and fight. Indeed, we are remaining right here.” [Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:23]
[The Israelites] said, “O Moses, indeed we will not enter it, ever, as long as they are within it; so go, you and your Lord, and fight. Indeed, we are remaining right here.” [Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:24]
[Moses] said, “My Lord, indeed I do not possess except myself and my brother, so part us from the defiantly disobedient people.” [Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:25]
[God] said, “Then indeed, it is forbidden to them for forty years [in which] they will wander throughout the land. So do not grieve over the defiantly disobedient people.” [Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:26]
Having helped a number of muslims leave Islam, I can confidently say most muslims either haven’t read Quran, or know very little about it. e. g. those muslims I know who have left Islam were completely unaware that Quran isn’t even chronological, and that you need a “special table” just to understand the context:
https://www.missionislam.com/quran/revealationorder.htm
This means that in fact it is invariably the muslim who doesn’t understand “the context”……….

History is made in little increments every day. Books like those written by Laura Wilder, are all little bits of history., added up to make a life, or lives.
Histories of towns, tribes, peoples and nations are all made up of little bits of every day things.
Sometimes, a big event happens. Some times the big event is a good thing. Clearly the Jewish Nation sees this as a good thing…at least, those people who see Jerusalem as the capital city of Israel. Many other events led up to this one.
The Bible has a lot of history that has been written in advance of the events. Many things are yet to happen according to these prophecies. We are all witnessing history happening every day.

It’s important that Jewish culture has a homeland and Jerusalem as the most prominent ancient centre of Judaism is perfectly placed to be the centre of today’s Israel. The main problem we face is that Islam claims everything as it’s own, starting with the jewels of older monotheistic religions and progressing outwards pursuing the largest land grab in history with the possible exception, centuries ago, of the (temporary) Mongol territorial conquest. Not even the wives and daughters of ‘outsiders’ are exempt from this unending pattern of Islamic conquest, so I say ‘thank-you citizens of Israel’ for standing up for yourselves so that we too can take encouragement from your actions and continue to resist the bleating and intransigence that leads the ongoing pattern of Islamic conquest.

“Why the Israeli/Palestinian conflict is not really a dispute over land, and will never be solved by negotiations;”
Lots of negotiations so far have failed.
dumbledoresarmy says
Reason why, is that NO non-Muslim party can ever trust a deal made with Muslims, because… Muslims are taught not to make deals with non-Muslims or, if they – for reasons of temporary expediency – *do* make deals, they are under NO obligation to keep those deals. Treaty of Hudaybiyya , look it up. Any ‘treaty’ is merely a hudna, a truce-treaty, a timeout during which Muslims regroup and rearm and bide their time, waiting for their Infidel ‘treaty-partner’ to weaken so that they may go back in for the kill.
Peace-processing with Mohammedans, whether done by Israel, or by India, or by Thailand or by the Philippines – to name but a few of the better known instances – is a total and utter waste of time, a snare and a delusion.

According to Prof. K.S. Lal, the author of the Growth of Muslim population in India, the Hindu population decreased by 80 million between 1000 AD, the year Mahmud Ghazni invaded India and 1525 AD, a year before the battle of Panipat.
By all known accounts of world history, as pointed out by Koenard Elst in his book the Negationism in India, destruction of about 100 million Hindus is perhaps the biggest holocaust in the whole world history.

Robert Spencer says: Instead, they learn fictions about a fictional nationality, the “Palestinians.”
So there never was a place called Palestine?
Even the ancient Greeks wrote about a land called Palestine.
So there were no inhabitants of that place when Israel was created?
There were Muslims, Christians and Jews living there. Mostly Arabs. They are naturally called ‘Palestinians’.
Robert Spencer is rewriting history.
Although I appreciate his efforts to expose the inherent Jihadism, violence and intolerance lurking in some interpretations of the Koran, this denial of a whole Palestinian people their very identity is a blatant and obvious and hilarious untruth and misinformation.
Ahava says
Chant, Spencer is right (and so is Netanyahu) and you are not: palestinians have never been a people. Palestine was never a land but an area, including the new countries Syria and Jordan. But you continue to feel good in your self-created history pal.
Joy says
Actually, Chand, you ignoramus, Palestina was the name given to that area – after its conquest – by the Romans,, who, of course, hated and, indeed, conquered the Jews and destroyed the 2nd Temple. And they gave that name as a pejorative, with a wink & a nod to the old Philistines. Jews & Arabs lived there for centuries, but it was primarily known as where “the Jews” lived; so, ever since the Brits colonized that area and Jews lived there (a negligible number of Arabs did as well, of course), the Jews were usually referred to as “Palestinians”. Actually, the Arabs were pretty much a cipher and, by default of residence, were branded with that name as well. But the Jews were called “Palestinians” until the founding of their own state in 1948. After that, they were Israelis, and the poor (and most of them were, of course) Arabs sort of inherited the name – but it was NEVER their land and there was NEVER a REAL country called Palestine!
Mark Swan says
Chand,
You so quickly take the side of the Palestinian Arabs.
Jews have lived in that land continuously from more than 3200 years ago,
until the present day, though Jews were not always in political control of
the land, and Jews were not always the majority of the land’s population.
The State of Israel is not solely Jewish, just over 80% are Jewish.
Around 1/3 of the worlds Jews live in Israel.
About half of all Jews there are Mizrachim, descended from Jews who have
been in the land since ancient times.
Most of the rest are Ashkenazic, descended from Jews who were forced out of
Arab countries after Israel was founded or fled persecution in Eastern Europe
starting in the late 1800s, from Holocaust survivors, or from other immigrants
who came at various times.
The breakup of the Ottoman Turkish empire resulted in about 40 new countries,
including 22 Arab states.
That land did not exist as a Palestinian state—nor does it exist, yet, as such
