When Aziz Sayyed is released, which will be in less than fifteen years, will he become a loyal, productive citizen? Possibly. But nothing will be done while he is in prison to try to ensure that. Instead, the ideology that landed him in prison in the first place will be reinforced, and anyone who objects will be called “Islamophobic.”
“Alabama college student sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for ISIS bombing plot,” by Ashley Remkus, AL.com, June 20, 2018:
Aziz Sayyed, a former Alabama college student, was sentenced today to 15 years in federal prison for gathering bomb-making materials and planning to blow up a police building on behalf of the Islamic State group.
Sayyed, 23, pleaded guilty earlier this year to a federal crime of attempting to provide material support or resources to ISIS, a designated foreign terrorist organization.
“I’m sorry about the path I’ve taken,” Sayyed told U.S. District Judge Abdul K. Kallon at today’s sentencing. “I don’t know what else to say, your honor.”
Federal prosecutors said Sayyed in 2017 met with a Federal Bureau of Investigation Agent, who he thought was a member of ISIS, and expressed his desire to assist the terrorist organization….

He should have been imprisoned until he renounced the evil ideology that tells him killing infidels will give him a place in paradise with 72 ever virgins and a perpetual erection.
Belief in that evil and irrational ideology is conclusive proof of insanity.

Insane people are not legally responsible for their crimes.

Insanity???….well maybe not……But definitely his ideology Is definitely…..Satan driven!
Frank Anderson says
J D S, if the jihadis are insane they cannot be convicted under US law. But they can be sent to a mental institution until they are “cured”. But then take a look at the great case of Tarasoff v. Board of Regents, where a California hospital released a man who immediately went and killed the woman he made clear he wanted dead. That case was decided before I started law school, over 40 years ago. I believe it is at least persuasive authority in other states; and might be mandatory if that state’s supreme court or legislature has adopted the ruling. Consider John Hinckley who shot President Gerald Ford who spent a long time in therapy. Frequent dismissal of these ongoing attacks as insanity prevents recognition that the attacks are in direct response to the writings, teachings and practice of 1400 years of conquest. I think it is a bad idea.

I’m just not for feeding. Clothing, sheltering and medicating these vermin, turning them loose in a short time with that hate still locked up in them….They will never have anything to offer society.
Frank Anderson says
I certainly agree. The problem is how can it be done to make him unable permanently to injure or kill again. The man who killed Kate Steinle (sp?) had been deported multiple times and came back to steal a law enforcement officer’s (FBI?) handgun, which he claimed accidentally discharged, killing her. How many lame excuses will allow people to be killed before they no longer work. Deporting only means that he will be free to work on other ways to do harm, or to return for another chance to do it himself. I will spare us the story of one of the leaders of 9/11 highjack who was in Israeli custody and released to come to the US for the high-jacking. Our mercy and generosity always translates into weakness and is never appreciated by our enemies.

Alabama: Muslim gets 15 years for jihad plot to blow up police building
…………………
Too light a sentence–but better than in Europe, where Muslims can get twelve years for murdering someone.

I like cops I used to be one but the modern version seems to have given up the will to live. Get this guys THESE PEOPLE WANT TO KILL YOU capish.

If he isn’t a citizen, then he should be deported once his sentence is completed. Why keep these people who want to do us harm? They don’t like our culture, then have them find a place that fits their culture.
Jack NIsen says
Send him, and his parents, back to where they came from. Obviously, the USA isn’t good enough for them.
