Argentina were set to play in Jerusalem ahead of the World Cup in Russia. But the game has been called off after a top Palestinian soccer official called on Arabs to burn Messi posters if Saturday’s match went ahead.
Jihadis operate by means of bullying and intimidation. Giving in to them only encourages more bullying and intimidation.
The Embassy of Israel regrets to communicate the suspension of the match between Israel and Argentina,” it said, citing “threats and provocations” against Barcelona star and Argentina captain Lionel Messi, one of the world’s most famous footballers, as grounds for the decision.
The Argentines, according to one of the organizers of the boycott, were in sympathy with the Palestinian jihadis:
One of the organizers of the boycott, Fadi Quran of the campaign group Avaaz, told DW that the decision to boycott the match came at the behest of the Argentine squad, in sympathy with the Palestinians.
Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman is correct in saying that “canceling the games was giving in to hate.”
This is the Argentina in which a Jewish center was bombed in 1995, killing 85 people. The Argentine government has thereafter covered up what happened in that bombing, including the role of the Islamic Republic of Iran. A prosecutor who discovered this was murdered hours before he was to testify.
“Threats against Lionel Messi lead to Argentina-Israel warmup match cancellation,” DW, June 6, 2018:
Argentina’s World Cup warm-up match against Israel in Jerusalem has been canceled following protests by pro-Palestinian groups.
The Israeli Embassy in Buenos Aires on Tuesday confirmed the cancellation of the match, which was scheduled to take place at the Teddy Kollek Stadium on Saturday.
“The Embassy of Israel regrets to communicate the suspension of the match between Israel and Argentina,” it said, citing “threats and provocations” against Barcelona star and Argentina captain Lionel Messi, one of the world’s most famous footballers, as grounds for the decision.
Palestinian anger
Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman on Wednesday said canceling the games was giving in to hate.
“It’s a shame that Argentina’s footballing nobility did not withstand the pressure from Israeli-hating inciters,” he wrote on Twitter.
However, one of the organizers of the boycott, Fadi Quran of the campaign group Avaaz, told DW that the decision to boycott the match came at the behest of the Argentine squad, in sympathy with the Palestinians.
“We believe the main reason this game was canceled was that the Argentinian team got the facts,” said Quran. “The decision was made as a moral and ethical stance. I think it is an Israeli spin to try and frame it as being due to threats.”…..

Another victory for Islam. It does not matter that Argentina caved. Islamic terrorists will still follow through on their threats against Lionel Messi if they are able. He is probably more at risk in that regard playing his club matches each week than he is at an international match.
So I suspect that the basis for this decision has more to do with Argentinian moral support for Islamic terrorism against Jews.
Tricia Stuercke says
What a pathetic farce! There was no threat against Messi at all…THE “THREAT” WAS TO ENCOURAGE SOCCER FANS TO BURN MESSI POSTERS & T-SHIRTS, according to that DW article! I’m quite sure not even Messi’s ego would have been hurt…in fact, he would have financially gained when those same fans went to purchase newer versions of Messi posters & t-shirts to replace those burned in the ridiculous tantrum! It was merely a “threat” by a joke-of-a-community-organizer…Islam barely lifted a finger to pull this off; Muslims don’t even have to “phone it in”!
Daniel Mark says
Perfectly said.I thought the exact same thing since there was no physical threat of violence against Messi or any other members of Argentine squad. Indeed it was a farce sourced in a ludicrous pretext.

If such intimidation continues successfully throughout the WC Israel could become WC Champions without playing a game. It MUST be an Israeli/Mossad/Jewish plot to control the world. LOL

Not really that much of a surprise when one considers that many Nazis escaped to Argentina.
Ray Jarman says
I am sorry to apprise you but while a few Nazis did flee most of the Argentines with German DNA immigrated after WWI to start a better life. In fact in Chile the percentage of people of Germanic heritage is very high also. Almost every South American country has people of Germanic background.

JARMAN,
Secret files reveal 9,000 Nazi war criminals fled to South America after WWII
•As many as 5,000 Nazis went to Argentina
•Between 1,500 and 2,000 ended up in Brazil
•Around 500 to 1,000 settled in Chile
•The rest started new lives in Paraguay and Uruguay

Thank you for the rebuttal to JARMAN!

These “palestinians” will make international outrage incident out of everything. I recently read a great metaphor for their behavior and it goes something like this:
FLY IN THE COFFEE NATIONAL REACTIONS:
GERMAN — Remove the fly from the cup, spill the coffee, disinfect the cup and make another cup of coffee.
FRENCH — Remove the fly from the cup and drink the coffee anyway.
ITALIAN — Smash the coffee cup in the heat of the moment.
CHINESE — Spill the coffee and eat the fly because it’s a delicacy in China.
ISRAELI — Sell the coffee to the French, the cup to the Italian, and fly to the Chinese. Invent a device to prevent flies from flying into coffee cups, and make a cup of tea at the end of hard day’s work.
PALESTINIAN — Blame Israel, complain to the UN council about Jewish oppression while presenting the coffee cup with the fly as evidence, and demand international monetary aid to buy a new cup of coffee. After receiving the money, spend it on building IED’s and bomb the coffee shop inside which the French, the German and the Italian are explaining to the Israeli why he should give his cup of tea to the Palestinian.

Indeed
Though presented in a humorous vein, it’s so typical of the ludicrous sensibilities of Palestinians (and muslims in general). They’re always looking for something to be violently outraged about.

I am an avid soccer fan and, until now, would watch all the games I could, but I will specifically boycott ANY game in which Argentina or Messi are involved and will encourage those with whom I share a passion for soccer to do the same.
The game is no place for this type of political bullying and appeasement. Keep your BS out of the sport.

Deutsche Welle is the propaganda TV of the German government and they are viciously anti-Israel. Of course they would say they are pro-„Palestinian“. Antisemites. They will report the claims of the islamonazi as facts.

It is SHOCKING THAT MESSI of all the people was the leader of this boycott. Did he forget the ISIS threat against his life, a few months back or was it 2017?? Shame shame.. I wonder how much the Saudis paid him..

Also, I used to be a fan of Messi and hoped that he would finally win the big one for Argentina. But now I HOPE HE NEVER DOES!!!! and neither am I going to watch any of his matches…. and to top it, I have always been a supporter of their arch rivals Brazil. I used to like Arg only for Messi.. but now even that is gone!!

It would be unusually courageous of Argentina to ignore the threats although many wish they had.
However Israel is not squeaky clean on this one. The game was initially scheduled to be in Haifa. Many in Israel blame the organizer for politicizing it by moving it to Jerusalem.
We’ll never know whether a similar threat would have been made had the game stayed in Haifa.

When people do not believe what the Bible says about Israel then they have to suffer the consequences, sad as that may be.
Argentina has been suffering financially lately. I doubt that will change.

I never knew Argentinians were so brave to stand up against anything. Were they with the Argentinian mothers or the Palestinian mothers/ sarc.
But what are they taking about, to die for a muslim is an honour and he becomes a martyr, the pride of his family, we love life and to live, but Islam does not.. All the oldies who fled to Argentinie will be on the receiving side in their next life, and then you will see and experience what you did in this life.

All soccer/futbol fans: 1 BRIGHT LIGHT in this ever-creeping, incidious darkness called Islam…if you’ve got a young, budding soccer phenom of your own, THIS IS THE PERFECT STORY TO START, OR FURTHER, THE CRUCIAL EDUCATION WE MUST PROVIDE OUR KIDS on LIFE’S TRUTHS, ESP REGARDING ISLAM!
I’ve got a 19 yr old college soccer player who’s whole life this summer is working out harder than ever to move to Center/Forward cuz the coach thinks he’s gonna try him there Sophomore year…every day is training, “eating clean” (& more than his college ski team big brother, which was bad enough!), working, & sleeping…while running my “24 hr Diner & Laundry”, I try to use EVERY angle I can to educate them on the much-more-important things of life, without daring to look like I’m implying ANYTHING means more than soccer & skiing (God forbid!). THIS STORY IS 1 OF THOSE GOLDEN GIFTS…USE IT! OUR KIDS HAVE TO BE PREPARED EVERY-WHICH-WAY & THIS IS AN OPENING THEY WON’T ROLL THEIR EYES AT OR TUNE OUT IF YOU WORK IT RIGHT…AND DON’T INTERRUPT GAME TIME! ⚽
