Albert Fox Cahn is the legal director for the New York chapter of the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations. Here he complains to a rabbi: “What does it say about your limits that I was excluded for nothing other than my affiliation with the nation’s largest, most-prominent Muslim civil rights organization, the Council on American-Islamic Relations?”
What does it say? It says that this rabbi is prudent and knowledgeable, and doesn’t suffer fools gladly. CAIR is an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terror funding case — so named by the Justice Department. CAIR officials have repeatedly refused to denounce Hamas and Hizballah as terrorist groups. Several former CAIR officials have been convicted of various crimes related to jihad terror. CAIR’s cofounder and longtime Board chairman (Omar Ahmad), as well as its chief spokesman (Ibrahim Hooper), have made Islamic supremacist statements about how Islamic law should be imposed in the U.S. (Ahmad denies this, but the original reporter stands by her story.) CAIR chapters frequently distribute pamphlets telling Muslims not to cooperate with law enforcement. CAIR has opposed virtually every anti-terror measure that has been proposed or implemented and has been declared a terror organization by the United Arab Emirates. Ayloush himself in 2017 called for the overthrow of the U.S. government.
In light of all that, the idea of a CAIR operative, even a Jewish useful idiot, addressing a Jewish congregation is nothing short of obscene. The rabbi did the right thing.
Oh, and notice that it’s the far-Left Forward that is publishing this misleading, self-serving nonsense.
“I Was Barred From Speaking At My Temple Because I Work With Muslims,” by Albert Fox Cahn, Forward, June 11, 2018:
Dear Rabbi,
Please know that I don’t write this in anger, but with deep sadness — sadness at the setback we suffered on Friday. As a Jewish man who fights for the civil rights of Muslim New Yorkers, I know how hard it can be to find space for interfaith engagement. That’s why I was so thrilled by your invitation to give the d’var Torah (sermon) at last week’s service. Doing so would be an honor in any temple, but it held special meaning at the temple my family has belonged to for generations. My joy only multiplied when your interfaith partners named me keynote speaker for the iftar dinner that was to follow. To both give a Jewish sermon and break the Ramadan fast on a single Friday night, the night that both of our communities congregate to pray; it would be such a potent symbol of solidarity. A symbol needed now more urgently than ever as we await the Supreme Court’s forthcoming Muslim ban ruling.
Together, these plans exceeded my wildest dreams. Sadly, on Friday, those dreams died a quick death, when, on less than two hours’ notice, you not only disinvited me from delivering the d’var Torah, but you even barred me from appearing as the iftar keynote. I was permitted to enter the building, but you made clear that my voice could not be heard within its walls….
What does it say about the limits of your interfaith work that you were unable to host me: a Jewish, Harvard-educated civil rights attorney whose family first joined your temple six generations ago? What does it say about your limits that I was excluded for nothing other than my affiliation with the nation’s largest, most-prominent Muslim civil rights organization, the Council on American-Islamic Relations?…
Yours truly,
Albert Fox Cahn

Cahn referring to the upcoming “Muslim ban” ruling doesn’t say much about his honesty. Using that leftist/CAIR voice to describe the SC decision they await.
He has made it obvious that he doesn’t care much who butters his bread, as long as that butter is spread well and thick.

Good. At least there is one temple left in this country whose rabbi and its congregation has some spine. Elsewhere, dhimmified “jewicidal” leftards — who have been for too long drinking at the poisoned well of “interfaith” — bow to the thugs and goons at CAIR and force brave and righteous rabbis to shut down speakers programs that dare to challenge Islam. (It remains to be seen if the crocodile will actually eat them last, but I presume that is what they are counting on.)

How exactly is “interfaith” dialogue a “poisoned well”. I always thought that for Freedom of Religion there had to be religious tolerance which requires tolerance.

I am somewhat surprised by some of the comments on “Jews” I’m seeing here. The categorizing and stereotyping is highly inaccurate and, consequently, disturbing. The opinions held by Jews are so diverse that they are found in virtually every movement – political and non-political in America. So much so that the joke ” for a serious difference of opinion you only need a Jew and a mirror” isn’t that inaccurate. There are even anti-Semitic Jews.
To suggest that Jews don’t care about America and Europe is outright ludicrous and terribly disrespectful to the thousands who have fought and died in ALL America’s wars (on both sides in the Civil War) and on both sides in all Europe’s wars certainly as far back as the French Revolution.
Why any Jewish person would become a “useful idiot” as this jerk has is anybody’s guess but it almost certainly isn’t for the money as was suggested. Similarly it is inconceivable that any sane Jewish person (Zionist or not) could support jihad in any way. Such a person would be written off as “unbalanced” or just plain “nuts” and treated as a pariah.
Kahn is not only a “jerk” but a jerk of the useful idiot variety and in no way represents Judaism. The Rabbi was wise in recognizing this before allowing him to represent the Synagogue in interfaith dialogue.

Rogge commanded the Atlantis, survived the war, was sentenced to prison and was released to help reconstruct the West German navy.

I personally am very confused by the (((Jewish))) issue. I find many who know the truth, like David Horowitz, Daniel Greenfield etc, then some who are so far Left I can smell them from here, then there are those who just don’t give a hoot about history. And WHO do we believe? Because I don’t find any satisfactory answer, I choose to look at Judaism from ONLY the Biblical perspective, instead of letting anger or bigger than anger cloud my vision of Israel. (Not saying at all that you are angry Frank, not at all, but I GET ANGRY hearing those leftie Jews succumb to Islam). That being said, Even So Come Lord Jesus!
Frank Anderson says
L.C., this is my opinion and experience. Both my birth and adopted families were Christian. Until I was over 40 years old, all I “knew” about Judaism was based on what was discussed in Sunday School, the magnificent kindness of my official father’s best friend in town, who was Jewish, and my uncle’s totally out-of-character seething hatred of Jews. Then in 1992 I was invited by a Jewish friend to attend services, which that first day included Torah Study, more or less the equivalent of Christian Sunday School. In that first contact it was like my first voluntary appearance at church over 20 years earlier. I felt God’s presence and message. The big lesson I took from that day and will carry to share as long as I live is simple. Jews are not correctly portrayed in the New Testament, neither then, when Jesus is supposed to have lived, or any time since.
In issue after issue, event after event, comparison upon comparison generalizations about Jews paint an erroneous picture. Only by seeing for yourself and making your own comparisons can you find the real truth, the profound wisdom that Jesus, assuming as a matter of faith and without scientific proof, lived and died to convey. We cannot prove from any evidence at the time that Jesus lived. All that is written many decades later has been handled and sanitized by people with motives of their own for centuries. See, e.g. Who Wrote the New Testament by Burton Mack. This is where the 3 statements I heard the first day mean so much that no matter how much disrespect, abuse and failure to follow the teachings I experience, I will always be grateful for what I learned.
1) Wisdom is its own authority. It does not depend on the authority of the speaker or where it is written or spoken. 2) Wisdom is all around us, in the Bible and elsewhere. The lifelong challenge is the receive the wisdom, distinguish it from the error and deception that always come with it when humans are involved, and put the wisdom to work in our lives. 3) ASK EVERY QUESTION REPEATEDLY and fearlessly. The truth has nothing to fear from questions. Each time a question is asked the truth will come through clearer, brighter and freer from the tarnish of error and deception. We will know the whole truth only when we see God in the next life. The Meditation on Doubt, page 711, The Gates of Prayer in use early 1990’s.
We see daily demonstrated the Jewish truth that there are no perfect people. While there are absolutely wonderful people around us, even they have flaws. And there are some really misguided or rotten people around us too. Even though my admiration for Judaism is not returned by the congregations locally, and apparently not from the majority of Jews in the US, God and I know each other well and I have faith (God Knows) in His ultimate victory. I urge you to find out for yourself. Go many times to Jewish services. Accept the fact that many may be cold or even hostile, contrary to the age-old teaching of hospitality to strangers. Listen to what is taught while being on guard from what some practice. Jesus, whatever else he was, if he was, and whatever anyone else may have done to the story, certainly a Jewish man and scholar. The wisdom he endeavored to share is its own authority.

Frank Anderson says
Rarely, after more than 20 years of attending services, and officially converting, I was asked to leave the community because I dared to point out Islam’s treachery and hatred of Jews. In this area, the majority of Jews in control of the congregations are in the same denial that existed under Hitler, from his first public speech in 1920 to his last breath. I have no new ideas. With all my education, about equal in time to a Rabbi’s, and having tried all that I could, it is time to follow the Christian teaching, “Give it to the Lord, Who makes all things possible”; and who teaches those who are unteachable by humans. My love for what is taught in Judaism is as strong as my disappointment with what I have witnessed in current practice. They are in the Best Hands possible; and I will strive to do good whenever possible.

I’d like to make sure I have my facts straight.
As I understand it you converted to Judaism studied and practiced religiously for 20 years.
Then, because you were trying to warn the congregation of the dangers of islam you were asked to leave that congregation.
How long ago was that and what did you do next?
Frank Anderson says
You understand. That was about 3 years ago. I was given up for adoption when I was born. When my last adopted parent died the remainder of the family said, “We have our own families and our own problems; and we didn’t want you in the first place.” I moved on to find my birth mother who was living like a slave on a pig farm. My phone call freed her and gave her 21 years of a new life, which she joyfully shared with me. When she died she asked me to identify myself at the funeral as a “friend of the family” to avoid ???? I am accustomed to moving on because I have had to do a lot of things other people will not do, including confronting major corruption. God made me, God knows me. God wants me to live for reasons only He knows. I profoundly believe that all people are Children of God, who have a choice to accept or reject His Fatherhood, and the Brother- and Sisterhood of all who call upon Him as Father. I find the wisdom of Judaism overwhelming. I find the practice truly incomprehensible and tragically disappointing. I have survived being legally dead about 2 hours during heart surgery, and 16 hours of 10 out of 10 pain with a blood clot in my lung. If I can survive that, I can handle most anything else. I called my heart surgeon’s office today for the 11th anniversary “Thank you” message.
Peggy says
Frank, you’ve had it really tough and I feel so sad for you. To be rejected by the only family you knew is sickening. They are the ones who lost.
I hope that you have people in your life now who love you and cherish you. You sound like a person who deserves to be valued.
What a disappointment at feeling not welcomed again because you wanted to save the people you love. I’m sure there are other synagogues who would love to receive you and your message. People can be extremely cruel but that’s because they are blind to God. Just because they go to their places of worship doesn’t make them decent or close to God.
Frank Anderson says
Peggy, God has given me the chance to do great things and I have done them. With 1 telephone call I gave my birth mother the strength and motivation to declare “I deserve better!” A whole bunch of other successes would not have been possible without the trials. I think the greatest of all is the sense, the hope, the belief in the absence of scientific proof of the presence and concern of God. In place of the “usual” family which is forced on each other, I have a family entirely by choice which is free to come and go as it pleases. I write here from time to time of the process of individuation and the making of the “self actualizing person” that Abe Maslow postulated. One of my eight “fathers by choice” worked with me over 40 years to guide me in that direction. “Success has a thousand fathers; Failure is an unwanted orphan.” Winston Churchill. I count only 8 fathers by choice; so I am not a success. But neither am I a failure. And I am a long way from finished.
If a community of whatever description is healthy, stick around. If it is unhealthy, move on. One of the many great sermons I received at Jewish services addressed the TWO major lessons of Exodus. 1) God wants ALL of His Children to be free of all forms of tyranny and slavery. 2) No matter how well things start-they change. Our lives need only God’s approval, not that of humans. God knew each of us before He created the world; and created us anyway. There is something He intends for us to do in this life if we will. There is reason to hope connected with the God of Life that will never be part of the teachings of a god of death and slavery.
gravenimage says
Frank, I’m so sorry this happened to you.I hope you find a community that respects the truth.
Frank Anderson says
GI, I’m sorry too. I feel very strongly that whatever else he was, Jesus was a Jewish man. Following the Jewish teaching that “Wisdom is its own authority without regard to source or location” there is tremendous Jewish based wisdom taught in the New Testament. Particularly applicable to this experience, remember the lesson of the stolen coat, vividly illustrated in Max Von Sydow’s Greatest Story Ever Told (I ran the movie dozens of times as a projectionist). I think it was the Disciple Peter who woke to find his coat had been stolen during the night. Jesus is attributed with telling Peter (?) to go find the man who stole it and give him his cloak also. At that time men wore 3 garments, a coat, cloak and loincloth. But Peter’s (?) peace of mind was far more important than the injustice of the stolen garment. I am pretty sure that you see in my writing my never-ending pursuit of justice. But that pursuit is balanced by my pursuit of progress to a better life that I can share with friends. Self defeating and self destructive options are a waste. One of my favorite quotes from the Bible and Masonic ritual is “Behold how good and how pleasant it is when brethren dwell together in unity. . .” When social unity fails, it is time to assemble a new society. Sincere best wishes always.
gravenimage says
Thank you for sharing, Frank. There are quite a few people here who have used trials they have suffered to build a better life for themselves and others.
Frank Anderson says
GI, I have been able to help many clients by sharing and making use of my experience. It may have some connection with “Profit from other’s mistakes: You can’t live long enough to make them all yourself.” What is the point of going through misery if the lessons might help others avoid it? Make every day better. Learn at every opportunity. Ask every question repeatedly to keep finding the better answer.

Linda Clark formerly Linnte says
I suggest we STOP calling Islam a RELIGION and start calling it what it is- a complete Governmental System/Nation, which also has a State Religion called Islam. For crimminy sake! Islam is a Nation WITHIN our Nation. No Nation allows a covert Nation to operate within its borders.
Recognising Islam as a Nation changes the way our Constitution deals with ISLAM. It would make Organisations like CAIR and ISNA powerless. Islam has Courts, laws, a State Flag, its own Banking system, its State language, an army, as all Muslims are commanded to fight in the way of Allah, and Islam has its own foods, clothing and the list goes on.
WHAT IS THE PROBLEM HERE? Why doesn’t anyone TALK about this?
Frank Anderson says
LC, I think you have a good suggestion. There is a scene early in the movie/play 1776 where the subject of Independence is avoided for discussion until finally one of the delegates asks the same question you ask. Islam openly seeks to overthrow by any means necessary including force and violence all governments and societies to enslave or kill all those who will not “convert or submit”. Giving such a treacherous and treasonous group the “sacred” label of religion to protect it while is strives to destroy our society makes no sense. To me the “first step” is to get enough people to see the need to take the next, as it was when the US started its quest. By the way, for certain, the majority of those who signed the Declaration of Independence, and *in my opinion* all, were Masons doing a good day’s work for our future.
Linda Clark formerly Linnte says
I don’t know anything about Masonic folks, but I do know about Islam. (My gratitude to Robert Spencer and Graven Image who walked me through my clouded brain to see clearly).
Declaring Islam as a Nation would be the key to ousting ANY AND ALL Muslim from serving within our Government. AND ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS CHANGE THE NARRATIVE until everyone “gets” it, including our Government. It’s the cure for the cancer that is Islam. Muslims have dual citizenship. And if one of them commits a crime heinous enough to require imprisonment, don’t imprison him, DEPORT him to any Islamic Nation of his choice.
This would also give Homeland security the good reason to monitor mosques and madrassas.
Frank Anderson says
L.C., there could be some interesting ideas and inspirations from Masonic history. The American Revolution, the Mexican Revolution, many revolutions in South America were led by Masons. Hitler and Himmler cursed Jews and Masons in the same breath. Like all groups there are departures between teachings and practice. But this could be where the second revelation I received on a great day, “Wisdom is all around us, in the Bible and many other places: The challenge is to hear it, distinguish it from error and deception that always come with it when in human hands, and put the wisdom to work in our lives,” could be helpful. The only sure way to lose is to stop fighting.
Linda Clark formerly Linnte says
For sure, the only way to lose is to stop fighting! I’ll read up on Mason’s, but don’t know when. Thanks so much Frank!
Frank Anderson says
From this source and many more, you will never know what you can learn if you only look.
After my adopted mother died, I drove a thousand miles to see what I could learn about my birth mother on a nearly 40 year old trail. One question and answer led to another. In about 10 steps I had her name and telephone number. After 2 hours to figure out what to say, I was talking with her to start something wonderful for both of us.

If you mention anything critical about Islam, they will attack you as a paranoid, racist Islamophobe. They will think you are no different than those people who think the government and Illuminati are covering up UFO landings and alien contacts. And that you are no different than a Nazi or member of the Ku Klux Klan. It is WILLFUL ignorance, because will shout down any facts you give them with the usual platitudes. They don’t want to acknowledge the Jihad, because they think that if they do so, they will no longer be kind, or good, or caring, or understanding, or open-minded. My brother-in-law told me “I’m never going there”. They are terrified that any criticism of Islam will lead to a holocaust of Muslims, so they must protect Muslims and Islam at all cost.

I admit that many Jews have their heads in the sand re: the muslim threat. I sense you feel like an unwilling passenger on “A Ship of Fools”. However not opposing jihad is not the same as supporting it and I suspect that ignorance among Jews is no greater than in the general population.
The article is appropriate because it is inconceivable that a Jewish person would act as lawyer for CAIR.
He is worse than your usual “useful idiot”. Much worse, in fact, because he cannot plead ignorance. But he is not acting as he is because he is Jewish but IN SPITE OF IT Perhaps even literally to spite it..
I know many liberal Jews too and many of them have been most welcoming to muslim immigrants Most are compassionate but not stupid and the local Jewish community has been sponsoring Yazidi immigrants and not muslim ones. Eyes are gradually opening but even with them half-closed I can’t think of anyone who would take any position with CAIR.

Rarely, please recall the trial of Adolf Eichmann who received the best and most competent defense that any lawyer could provide. Israel wanted to make sure for all time that the trial was conducted totally above reproach. This is interesting to hear about a Jewish lawyer supporting the rights of muslims. He has not taken the Red Pill, he has taken the “pill” which has the sedating effects of benzodiazepine. Human rights, tolerance, justice all the words to relax the muscles of the body, calm the brains nerve signals of potential threats, reduce the suspicion that the doctrine is only misunderstood by isis and any claims to the correct quoting of the koran, end with conspiracy theory, racist, islamophobe. This method is successful in silencing and discrediting those who have analyzed the doctrine, however in the world of sharia…there is a command to stay silent and there are “special groups”,that is to who have special targets called non believers. So if the goal is to remove the first amendment (or weaken it) or to remove the second amendment, this lawyer is taking tolerance and human rights, justice to protect muslims, while ignoring the double meaning to allow spread of sharia when their same mind numbing words have the opposite effect on the non believers they could one day be living under sharia unable to ask question due to slander laws of islam and have to deal with death threats, fatwa…which even in a democracy is not recognized due to the lack of information.
Frank Anderson says
Please consider my comment more to others than directly to Sarkar. I have a lifetime of connection with Jewish and Christian people, most of whom are friends in a big and sincere way. I also have issues with both sides because of others. In the time I spent, now past tense, with the local Jewish community, most agreed that Jesus, if he lived (which must be taken on faith and not proof) was a Jewish rabbi of great insight. I have heard him described by several scholars as the first *well-known* Reform Rabbi because of the teachings of re-examination of all the rules of the previous 1500 years. The primary differences I see between Christianity and Judaism is the worship of a human being and the use of guilt as a form of control by powerful officials instead of personal guidance.
In the past there have been some erroneous teachings regarding the events leading up to the death of Jesus. I suggest letting a much better informed Rabbi explain instead of sharing my poor understanding. The most glaring example in my mind is the many errors in the Passion Play of Oberammergau, Germany, in which a Jewish mob is supposed to have confessed the murder of Jesus and condemned all Jews for all eternity with guilt. Deut 24:16 says that the father shall not be held for the sins of the son nor shall the son be held for the sins of the father. Giving a mob such amazing authority to promote hatred for many of the last 2,000 years certainly does not please the God who created us all.
In this dark time Christians and Jews need to remember that Our Father, the God of Life and Liberty, is under attack from a god of evil and death. As Children of that God, working toward the goals set for us 3700 years ago, and again through Exodus, and again through the life of Jesus, and again how many times in the 2000 years since, means that we should work together. “Behold how good and pleasant it is when brethren dwell together in unity.”
