Ramadan is the month of jihad, so ordinarily the killing an infidel police officer would fit right in, but perhaps Mohammed Mohamed suspected that killing a police officer for wanting him to bring his business up to code wasn’t exactly a pious act, and so it would best be kept until after the holy month. Nonetheless, the combination of a devout commitment to the religion and murderous intent is something we have seen again and again among some Muslims, and seldom, if ever, among adherents of other religions.
“Mohammed Mohamed: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know,” by Jessica McBride, Heavy, June 26, 2018 (thanks to the Geller Report):
Mohammed Mohamed is accused of trying to hire a hitman to murder a Houston police officer because he was upset the officer was giving him code violation tickets for his business, a plot that went awry when authorities learned about it before it could take place. Authorities faked the officer’s murder to convince Mohamed that the police officer was dead, the chief says.
Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo held a press conference to announce the arrest on June 26, 2018, and he also released a mugshot of the suspect. Mohamed, 47, is facing a charge of solicitation for capital murder, the chief said.
Here’s what you need to know:
1. Mohamed Is Accused of Hiring an Undercover Officer Posing as a Hitman for $2,000
Acevedo said the officer who was targeted is a community police officer. He said such officers enforce quality of life issues. The officer has been on the force for about 20 years…
The suspect wanted the officer dead because he thought the officer was interfering with his business, said the police chief. He said it would cost him thousands of dollars to bring the business up to code. At first, the suspect wanted someone to disable the officer by throwing acid in his face, alleged the chief. Then, he decided that wasn’t enough. He wanted “him killed because that’s the only way this would go away. The suspect specifically wanted to hire a hitman,” said the police chief.
He was willing to pay $2,000 for the murder, said the chief.
2. Mohamed, Who Owns a Shipping Business, Wanted the Murder to Happen After Ramadan, Authorities Allege
…He “wanted our officer dead. He was adamant that he would not meet the hit man until the end of Ramadan,” Acevedo alleged, saying that Mohamed allegedly hired a hitman “because he got tickets.” Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, is observed by Muslims throughout the world as a month involving fasts….
The chief noted that authorities are hoping for no bail in the case because Mohammed Mohamed “has ties back home in Egypt” making him a potential flight risk. “We’re hopeful that no bail is given to this individual,” the chief said adding that the officer “was targeted for doing his sworn duty.”

The curse to America, to all the West, to all the world, which is the Islamic faith is never ending. Yes, mankind finally got a major religion which is rotten to the core and that religion is Mo’s creed.
And anyone asserting that this particular case has nothing to do with being Muslim need only consider the request by this barbarian that the murder must take place only after Ramadan is over.
Oh yeah, feel the connection. Feel the love. Feel the burden which Muslims are wherever they are, especially in free societies which it is the duty of all good Muslims to eventually turn into unfree societies.
Islam is evil. Proceed from there. Don’t proceed from this premise and precisely to the extent you don’t, then precisely to this extent will you miss a proper comprehension of Islam, as much an enemy of liberty as has ever existed. Anyone doubting me need only look at the over fifty Muslim-majority nations where real freedom of speech, real freedom of the press and real freedom of religion are absent—no exceptions.

Folks, This didn’t happen, most anywhere in Europe, it happened here in the U.S….What’s it going to take for our government to wake up and address Islam for what it is…I am so sick of hearing…”oh this isn’t the real Islam, it has been hijacked by a few”…NO it hasn’t! This is PURE ISLAM, what they have been taught for centuries and it’s time to legislate Islam’s atrocities out of existence…FREEDOM of RELIGION does NOT cover Islam and our lawmakers need to address this…..but at present I know of no elected officials who have the guts to take on Islam and that is just unacceptable…REPLACE them with those who will.

I did forget to mention that the police did their job in preventing one of their on from being killed. GOOD JOB!

What an upstanding citizen. To save money, he decides to kill a police officer. Well, unless I’m mis-remembering, in Islamic law, the penalty for murder can be financial sometimes. The financial penalties are highest if the victim is a Muslim male. There is a lower penalty for murdering a non-Muslim.
eduardo odraude says
And apparently there is often no penalty at all in Islamic law for killing a non-Muslim if he or she is not under Islamic rule. Once under Islamic rule, if the non-Muslim behaves as an obsequious dhimmi, accepts living as a second class citizen without basic rights and pays jizya, then he is not to be killed (as I recall).
eduardo odraude says
last addendum: But even if in violation of Islamic law a Muslim murders a non-Muslim though the latter is a submissive dhimmi going along with all the debilities Islamic law imposes on non-Muslims, there is still little recourse for the victim’s family. Why?
Because non-Muslim testimony in Islamic law is considered of less value than Muslim testimony and is invalidated if a Muslim contradicts it. So the family of the non-Muslim victim would need to find other Muslims to champion the case, which Muslims under Islamic law would generally only do if they experienced a financial loss as a result of the murder and sought to recoup that loss.
Keys says
The money paid to kill a police officer probably counts toward zakat (required charitable donations – one of the 5 “pillars” of Islam – but zakat may not be given to non-muslims unless to further the cause).
WESTPAC Spy says
Six pillars of Islam. Jihad is the only pillar discussed in sufficient detail in the Quran to make any sense of it. None of the others are actually discussed in the Quran. If you had to rely on the Quran to determine what is orthopraxy (note I do not say orthodoxy) you’d never learn how to behave as a Muslim.
Except for the jihad part.
CogitoErgoSum says
But I thought killing an infidel was considered a good deed and a good deed done during Ramadan earns a reward of ten-fold or greater than if it is done at other times of the year. I guess he considered killing a police officer to be a bad deed. If something is good or bad is really hard to decide under the religion of Submission. It’s tough for a Muslim to know without Muhammad around to make every decision in life for you …. including how to wipe your arse.

Right, either way it’s Islamic.

The mere mention that Mohamed wanted the officer be murdered after Ramadan strongly suggests an Islamic influence.
eduardo odraude says
It’s somewhat ambiguous. We don’t have enough information. What we have suggests but does not prove that he is at least somewhat of a believing Muslim who felt Ramadan was religiously significant. Then again, he might have had various completely non-religious reasons for wanting the murder postponed to after Ramadan. True, the fact that he gave Ramadan any importance certainly raises the odds that he is somewhat religious as a Muslim. If he did seek to postpone the murder till after Ramadan for religious reasons, those reasons are still hard to pin down: did he think that in his circumstances a Ramadan murder of an infidel police officer was against Islam?
Wellington says
“Right, either way it’s Islamic.”
Pretty much, Lebel. I mean why ever cut a Muzzie a break who actually wanted murder to occur, and, very important here, only after Ramadan is done?
You know, you can wiggle this way or that way about Islam and its deluded followers, but, in the final analysis, what is imperative to grasp is that Islam is a mortal enemy of freedom and equality under the law.
Do you dispute this contention of mine, Lebel, i.e., that Islam is a mortal enemy of freedom and equality under the law? After all, every major school of Islamic theology to this very day, whether Sunni or Shiite, for instance the four major Sunni schools—Hanafi, Hanbali, Shafi and Maliki—still uphold death for apostasy, the sanctioning of rape per the Koran in Suras 4, 23, 33 and 70 (“what the right hand possesses,” blah, blah, blah), and death or at least severe bodily harm for any criticism of Islam, Mohammed or the Koran. And wherever Islam is dominant non-Muslims are pure second-class citizens or even worse. Thus, Islam insures a Jim Crow system based not on race but on belief wherever it can.
Islam is putrid, Lebel. No, not all Muslims are putrid but all Muslims are at least confused.
Islam sucks, Lebel. All of it. This is my overall contention. Prove me wrong. I say you can’t. Your turn.
eduardo odraude says
As you know well, Wellington, not only is Islamic law like Jim Crow. Islamic law is sacralized Jim Crow, not subject to amendment or abolition, because the lunatics who follow it believe it comes directly from Allah. Despite the hubristic pretensions of Islamic law, all laws are at least man-mediated and to that extent at least partly man-made. The US, because it lives under laws that do not arrogantly pretend to be divine, could dump Jim Crow into history’s dustbin. By contrast, Muslim nations will always live either under explicit Islamic law or at least under an Islamic law ethos that imbues large parts of the population and grossly curtails freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, and equality before the law.
If we want to help Muslims, it would arguably more compassionate to have a moratorium on immigration from Islamic nations until such time as a majority of Muslim-majority nations permit freedom of speech and freedom of conscience. Such a moratorium would not only help save the non-Muslim world — a moratorium on that basis would also stand a decent chance of helping those seeking freedom in the Muslim world, not to mention the many Muslims who do not yet understand the value of freedom, but might come to understand it better if compelled by necessity.
Such a policy would probably be politically impossible, but the compassion element it contains could give it some staying power and the battle over it might be very educational.

Excellent commentary. Muslims always like to play the victim all the while twisting the knife in your back.
eduardo odraude says
Islam is a slow and sometimes not so slow genocidal machine. It gradually extirpates other peoples and cultures and substitutes a monocultural wasteland. This is evident if one takes a look at the core Islamic region. Yes, there are good people who call themselves Muslims and want nothing to do with Islamic law or jihad, but the problem is that they are not supported by the core Islamic texts and furthermore very large numbers of Muslims around the world do support totalitarian aspects of Islamic law, and do support violent jihad to spread Islamic law or bring closer the day when it can be imposed.

That would take work and show obeisance to man-made law.
CogitoErgoSum says
He figured it would be cheaper to spend $2,000 for a hitman instead of several thousand more than that to bring his business up to code. However, he didn’t factor in the other costs if he got caught. Going for a high rate of return includes taking a greater risk. He took the gamble and lost. But he did hedge his bets on whether or not to do his deed during Ramadan. He figured his good deeds performed during next year’s Ramadan would be multiplied by a bonus factor and outweigh any bad deeds done for the usual cost after this year’s Ramadan was over.

Lebel is now sneering at the idea that Muslims putting out hits on the police should be regarded as a concern.

The first two words to this post told me this wasn’t going to be a “feel good” story…
“Mohammed Mohamed…”
Just glad this SOB has been nabbed.
eduardo odraude says
Yes. And he’s not just an SOB. He does not get that people who do what he did turn societies into sh**holes that are hardly worth living in. When too many people are willing to murder for money or power, or to engage in corruption for money or power, you end up living in a totally dysfunctional, impoverished, backward, unsafe, unhealthy society. He apparently can see only as far as his own nose. No doubt he was raised in a dictatorship, and dictatorships tend to instill the kind of values he revealed by his actions. Now he’ll be behind bars for the rest of his life, I imagine. Let’s hope he has no access to any significant money behind bars, since he might use it to kill people, apparently. I wonder if he has murdered people in the past.
Bev says
LOL
eduardo odraude says
The would-be murderer perhaps was concerned that doing the murder during Ramadan might be a bit of a clue to the police that a Muslim might be involved. He was perhaps aware that jihadis get more active and violent during Ramadan and he thought police might be aware of that too. In other words, maybe he was trying to camouflage the murder by doing it after Ramadan.
CogitoErgoSum says
I do believe that not only are good deeds rewarded more highly during Ramadan, but bad deeds are punished more severely. So this guy was just playing it safe. If he was doing good he’d still get a reward and if was doing something bad then it wouldn’t be all that bad. He could save up some good deeds for doing next Ramadan. A smart Muslim would figure out how to maximize his return on investment in the religion.
eduardo odraude says
Ha, interesting thought process that makes a lot of sense, though of course it’s only one possible explanation of what was going on in the guy’s “mind”…

By the way, I think amo ergo sum is probably truer and more encompassing than cogito ergo sum and that the latter is, at best, only a special case of the former.
