French President Emmanuel Macron has launched an astonishing attack on the populist, nationalist, and traditionally conservative political parties rising in Europe, angering Italy’s new government.
Little globalist Emmanuel Macron is likening the rise of leaders who are determined to defend their own nations to the spread of leprosy. Macron has become a puppet for globalists, bent on the continuation of the hijrah, despite his people’s overwhelming backing of deporting jihadi suspects and “banning radical Islam.”
Despite Macron jumping on the bandwagon to usurp democratic institutions, and his fierce attack on “nationalist,” “populist” Italy:
An Italian poll has shown the right-populist La Lega led by firebrand Interior Minister Matteo Salvini ahead of the anti-establishment Five Star Movement (M5S) for the first time.
The goal of Salvini is to crack down on the overwhelming and out of control surge of Muslim migrants. The media portrays this as being “racist” and “uncaring.” Western societies were once vigilant regarding immigration and refugee policy, and this is what reasoned people want to return to for the survival of democracy and the rule of law.
“Macron Attacks Italy’s New Govt, Warns Euroscepticism Is Spreading ‘Like Leprosy,’” by Jack Montgomery, Breitbart, June 22, 2018:
French President Emmanuel Macron has launched an astonishing attack on the populist, nationalist, and traditionally conservative political parties rising in Europe, angering Italy’s new government.
“I’m saying to you in the gravest terms: Many hate [the European Union], but they have hated it for a long time, and now you see them rise, like leprosy, all around Europe, in countries where we thought that they would never reappear,” said the Frenchman.A former investment banker at Rothschild & Cie Banque turned Socialist Party economy minister, Macron was heralded as the saviour of globalism when he launched a new ‘centrist’ party and saw off Marine Le Pen in the 2017 presidential elections.
“Our neighbours are saying the worst things and we’re getting used to it! They’re making the worst provocations and no one is horrified by that,” he warned — not referencing the new, anti-mass migration coalition government in Italy explicitly, but causing anger in Rome by the clear implication.
Luigi Di Maio, leader of the Five-Star Movement (M5S) which makes up one half of Italy’s new coalition government, responded robustly: “The real leprosy is the hypocrisy of someone who pushes back immigrants at Ventimiglia [on the Italian-French border] and then wants to preach to us.”
Matteo Salvini, who leads the nationalist Lega party which makes up the coalition’s other half, was equally firm, telling supporters in Terni: “If Macron were to stop insulting and concretely practise the generosity that fills his mouth by welcoming the thousands of immigrants that Italy has in recent years, it would be better for everyone.”….

I think it’s the ones we accuse of spreading “cancer”. Macron is using their deflection solution of tossing a new contrary-word in the ring – “LEPROSY”! This is just so we all become weary and learn to accept that they’ll never wear the shoe when it fits (and so we should just save our breath). Doubtless they hope to eventually sweep this troublesome generation under the rug.

Greetings:
I still get a bit of my TV news from the France24 English-language broadcasts. Back before President Macron’s three-day visit to President Trump’s houses, that network was shilling the former as the “Trump-whisperer” who would bring his Euro-self to America (USof) and talk President Trump into doing things his Euro-way. Apparently, the people working there didn’t realize that New York City doesn’t really have a reputation for producing people who will do the will of others if their ear or two is whispered into a time or two.
President Macron left town kind of disappointed (as did Chancellor Merkel a day or two later) and it’s been kind of downhill for him (and her two) ever since.

Muslims in general make trouble where ever they go, they even kill each other . Where is the HONOR in killing a Daughter, there is no HONOR in murder. Muslims should go to other Muslim counties, we don’t want your evil. After some of you kill an innocent person you yell,”GOD IS GREAT !” What other religion does that ? I can relate to what you wrote. France abandoned the French in Nouvelle-France after 1763. Most of the French elite packed their stuff and returned to France after the defeat against the British.
The reason why French is still spoken in Quebec is due to the clergy (priests and nuns) who copies by hand the only French grammar that was left in Quebec at some point. Imagine the courage of that clergy. Amazingly, some old French words are still used in Quebec while they have disappeared in France. Quebec, the courageous!

At least he didn’t fight for the Germans like a lot of French did. Here’s a quote from Wikki:
France had several regular and irregular army forces during World War II; this was partially due to a major geopolitical change. Following the lost Battle of France in 1940, the country switched from a democratic republican regime fighting with the Allies to an authoritarian regime collaborating with Germany and opposing the Allies in several campaigns. These complex opposing forces were called, in a simplistic manner, Vichy French forces and Free French forces. They fought battles all over the world from 1940 to 1945, and sometimes fighting against each other. These forces were composite, made of rebel factions and colonial troops; France controlled a large colonial empire, only second to the British empire.

If you live in Paris, France, do you think of yourself as a Frenchman
or a European? Should residents of Milan consider themselves Italian
first and European second? The vast majority of EU citizens still cling
to national identity above their identity as Europeans. The EU is a fiscal
and political entity, not a national identity. This is not a new phenomenon.
Before the U.S. Civil War of 1861–65, for example, many citizens thought
of themselves first as residents of their own state (e.g. “Virginians”), and
only secondarily as “Americans.” It took a devastating war to convince
millions of Americans that the individual states shared a common fate
as one nation, and that their identity as Americans must come first.
What could overcome the nationalism and self-interest of the individual
EU countries and unite them ? What could spur the advocates of a
“Christian Europe” to find common cause with the laicists who have
sought a secular Europe? What can give the diverse peoples of the EU
a sense that they share a common interest and a common fate?
For nearly 300 years, Europe has not faced the threat of Muslim invasion—
a threat that was instrumental in the formation of a shared European identity
throughout the Middle Ages. Now, however, there is again a perceived threat
from Islam, as Muslim extremists call for “holy war” and restoration of the
Caliphate. Pope Benedict, like many other European leaders, believes that
Europe will not survive without a return to the continent’s cultural and
religious roots. Is there any other threat, besides Islam, that can unite
Europe’s secularists and religionists?
The history of Europe can help us understand current events. With a
thousand years of invasions and occupations going back to the eighth
century, Islam has a long history as a strategic threat to Europe. Unlike
Americans, Europeans have suffered—on European soil—centuries of
wars with Muslims. Europeans are slowly starting to realize that, given
the history of jihad in Europe, a restored Islamic Caliphate in the Middle
East would again pose a strategic threat to the continent.
Indeed, Islam is openly reminding Europeans of this threat.
Millions of Europeans are now fearful that Islam will transform their
nations from within.
However, Islam’s role can be to transform Europe from without—
bringing it together.
Lavéritétriomphera says
Hi Mark Swan,
As a Frenchman, I will answer to you.
Do not confuse the French government with the French people. The king himself has betrayed us and we have not forgotten it.
Macron express his views because he is the president of an EU nation and Italy is a member of the EU. Now Italians have voted, they must deal with their government.
Muslims do not get along with each other. Algerians hate Moroccans, Turks despise Arabs, and Persians hate the Sunni Muslim world.
In our European history, Christian nations have allied themselves with the Ottoman empire against Christian nations https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franco-Ottoman_alliance.
Nowadays Europeans and of course French buy properties in Morocco and probably in Algeria, they are living there very well, and some of them like to be served.
Here in France Muslim gangs are suspected to serve people with hidden interests.
In a conflict there are always cynical persons who profit from the situation.
A Muslim does not come necessarily from an Islamic country and vice versa.
Amitiés.
Mark Swan says
Lavéritétriomphera,
I do appreciate your reply—and perspective—I thank you.
Let me say this as well—please.
The EU continues to be divided along cultural, economic and nationalistic lines, causing great stresses within this remarkable community of nations. Europe is at a crossroads.
Forming the European Union was a long and arduous task, and Europeans accepted great changes in order to come together as the EU. But achieving their common destiny will require much more. What will it take to bring these nations together as a powerful
federal union?
Europe is experiencing an unprecedented demographic change. Long a bastion of professed Christianity, the continent is becoming the home of increasing numbers of Muslim immigrants, who have fled the nations of their birth.
Today’s European culture did not appear out of thin air. A nation’s culture comes largely from its history. The nations of Europe share a foundation dating back to the 4th century ad, when the emperor Constantine “Christianized” the Roman Empire. Since then, many European states have held Roman Catholicism as the state religion, though church-state relations have often been complex and contentious.
Europe, is facing a crisis of demographics. Put simply, Europe—or, more accurately Europeans—are going out of business! Ethnic French, Germans, Greeks and Italians are not producing enough children to sustain the populations of their nations.
European birthrates are among the world’s lowest, but there is a baby boom in Muslim countries. The Islamic ‘youth bulge’ is truly enormous.
With the vigor Europeans and North Americans once had, Muslim families are producing babies. This means that as the newly burgeoning populations grow, their religion and culture will clash with the existing European order—but one side will be on the rise, gaining new voters with each new election, while the other will be on the defensive, forced to face the reality of its ultimate defeat!
But is an Islamic world truly the future? Or are there some surprises down the road.
Europe will not submit quietly to the demographic crisis—and that time is running out for them to act. We can be sure we are entering into momentous times, when nations and groups of nations will feel forced to act in ways quite contrary to what their hearts and long-cherished values now lead them to believe are possible.
Complacent Westerners, secure in their comfortable mindset, may believe (or hope) that such a calamity could not possibly occur in our modern, enlightened, civilized world. But consider the choices Europeans will soon face. They must either give up their religion, culture and national heritage—effectively cease to exist—or they must take some very drastic and unpleasant steps.
Islam will help transform Europe—but not in the way Globalism and Islam hope.
Lavéritétriomphera says
Hi Mark Swan,
The Arabs are not all Muslim and Christianity has not disappeared from the Arab-Muslim world. Many are in fact Christians who live their faith secretly. They can also be atheist.
During the barbarian invasions, the invaders adopted the most advanced civilization : the Greco-Roman culture. And our Western civilization is still a Greco-Roman and a Judeo-Christian culture, and it is still the most advanced civilization.
Arabs are not the people who are having more children, it is the black Africans who are predominantly Christian. African governments are aware that the demographic boom in their country is a (big) problem and a cause bihind migrations.
In any case demographic boom is a global problem
I do not know if you are American but Eric Zemmour, who wrote the nonfiction book “the French suicide”, travelled in the United States and he said that Americans have a similar problem with Hispanic who are mostly Roman Catholic.
Arabs do not like blacks and vice versa. An Muslim Algerian will welcome a white Christian better than a black Muslim.
De Gaulle was right when he said Europe stretches from the Atlantic to the Urals.
We cannot ignore Russia and both countries, France and Russia, are wary of German hegemony.
Amitiés.
Isabella says
When I go to Europe, I do not visit the European Union and I hope I never have to say that. I go to see France, Italy, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Portugal, and so on. No to globalization. Globalization is a fertile ground for the CALIPHATE that lots of Muslims dream about.
Mark Swan says
Lavéritétriomphera,
I Agree.
The transformation of Germany in the last 60 years is an amazing feat of going from rags to riches! In 1945, at the close of World War II, Germany was a heap of smoldering ruins, defeated and dependent upon foreign aid. However, the Germans became eager pupils of democracy and adamant pacifists. Due to wise planning, hard work and thrifty living, Germany has emerged from the ashes of defeat as the wealthiest nation with the strongest economy to become the dominant power in Europe.
Germany’s strong economy and high-value exports have given the Germans increasing economic clout in Europe—lending money to other European nations struggling with overwhelming debts. The European financial crisis was the trigger that pushed Germany to be more assertive and pursue a more significant role in Europe and on the world stage.
Although appearing reluctant to lead, Germany is being urged to take responsibility for the future of Europe—which is also a remarkable development. The European Union was designed to tie Germany into Europe to harness its aggressive tendencies and curb its desire to dominate. However, the EU is no longer a cage for Germany, but the avenue that has allowed Germany to emerge as the dominant player in the great game in Europe.
German loans prop up ailing European nations. German bureaucrats in Brussels outnumber those from France and Britain, and Germany largely determines EU policy. The EU is the new German Empire. The financial crisis and Germany’s reluctant response to bail out other European countries gave Germany the empire that it has long desired. As one can observe, Germany has achieved by diligence or by accident what it failed to achieve by force.
As Germany assumes more responsibility for Europe by providing funds to floundering neighbor economies, the Germans appear ready to be the educators for Europe—telling other European nations how to manage their budgets and run their countries . As German influence grows in Brussels, other nations in Europe recognize when Brussels seeks to exercise more power, it is actually Berlin that is calling the shots. Europe is witnessing a major power shift—from Brussels to Berlin and from France to Germany—which will have important consequences.
The European Union started as an attempt to draw the nations of Europe together as equals—to prevent future wars. However, the European financial crisis advanced and concealed Germany’s rise, and German dominance has created a hierarchy in Europe instead of equal participation. If a crisis develops over the euro or a potential fracture of the EU, European leaders could suspend agreed-upon rules and allow Germany to act on its own in an attempt to be the savior of Europe. Actions spurred by impending crises could have unintended consequences and result in the birth of a political monster.
German leaders are also attempting to point Germany in a new direction—away from its pacifist past—towards assuming responsibility for military operations on a broader scale. German leaders are now suggesting that since Germany took the lead in addressing the financial crisis, Germany should lead the way in military cooperation for the defense of Europe.
But what is the real significance of Germany’s rise to dominance? What does it mean for the future of Europe and the world?
Germany’s rise to power in Europe has been sobering to watch. Nobody intended this to happen… Germany’s rise… is not the consequence of a secret master plan… it was the involuntary and unplanned product of the financial crisis and its anticipation of disaster that catapulted Germany into its dominant position. Europe builders could use the fear of an impending crisis—collapse of the euro or breakup of the EU—to urge European nation states to surrender more sovereignty in a push for a political union and a federal Europe. Impending catastrophes throw up opportunities that can be seized by those with a strength.
An imminent crisis in Europe could bring a extremely strong German leadership to full bloom.
It is hardly a coincidence that German Foreign Minister Guido Westerville has also formed a Berlin Group of about ten other nations to discuss the future of Europe (presseurope.eu, June 20, 2012). American professor Walter Russell Mead has urged Germany to lead a Holy Roman Empire in Europe rather than a Prussian conquest (thelocal.de, October 8, 2013). Perceptive observers recognize something significant is happening in Germany and Europe.
What this new union may look like will depend on many factors, but with a rejuvenated German leadership, it will be a formidable union for sure.
Watch Europe, especially Germany.
Lavéritétriomphera says
Bonsoir Mark Swan,
You said everything, but France and Russia cannot accept a German hegemony. Only a blind person cannot see that our two countries are afraid of a German domination in Europe. “They do it again! “, I heard.
