Ramadan Day 22 thought for the day from my new book The History of Jihad: Abd al-Rahman III was the Umayyad caliph of Córdoba from 912 to 961. The eleventh-century Muslim historian Ibn Hayyan of Córdoba recounted one telling incident from his reign:
Muhammad [one of the officers of Abd al-Rahman III] chose the 100 most important barbarians [that is, Christians] and sent them to the alcazar of Córdoba, where they arrived Friday, 7 of the yumada I [March 2, 939], but since an-Nasir [Abd al-Rahman III] was vacationing in the orchard of an-Naura [La Noria], they were taken there, their marching coinciding with the people’s exiting from the aljama mosque of Córdoba, upon the conclusion of the Friday prayer, so that many gathered and followed to see what end the prisoners would have, and it turned out that an-Nasir was installed on the upper balcony over the orchard facing the river…to watch the execution. All the prisoners, one by one, were decapitated in his presence and under his eyes, in plain sight of the people, whose feelings against the infidels Allah alleviated, and they showered their blessings on the Caliph.

I think many , if not all of them are honored as saints and martyrs in the Catholic Church
eur says
Uhhhmmmm I don’t think they’re the same. I think you mean the martyrs of Toledo where the Islamic authorities ordered the decapitation of many Christians who for different reasons defied Islamic law. I think they were “judged” in Cordoba. Some of the decapitated were priests, others were repentant Islamic converts (some forced by the circumstances had to do the shahada and then they repented publicly and others such as a young girl was the daughter of Muslims and the Accepting the religion of Jesus was declared an apostate.
The decapitated persons referred to in this article i think that they were soldiers of the Kingdom of León who attacked the Caliphal frontiers and were captured after the battle. Some of the captured were killed on the way to Córdoba and some hundred came alive to the capital where they were beheadeded after the Friday prayer in front of the main mosque of Cordoba… Thousands of Muslims shouted Allahu Akbar and other flames after each decapitation.
It is true that they were other times….. or not?
Here you are the link of the mártires of Toledo…in spanish , you can use the traslator 😛

What has historically been called peaceful coexistence was actually submissive to Islamic laws.
The Caliph Almanzor, heir of the criminal who ordered to decapitate these people, is remembered as the military leader that more raids, incursions and battles carried out against the Christian kingdoms of the north… even bequeathing to rob the bells of the Cathedral of Santiago, In Galicia. That says the legend, that the bells were taken to Cordoba by Christian slaves and that years later the Christians recovered them and were Muslim slaves who returned those bells. What is truly true is that from Cordoba to Santiago Almanzor swept all the Christian temples, killed thousands of Christian inhabitants, demolished city walls and burned the fields.
In short…Islam.

If the apostate law had been gotten rid of..Islam would be dead today.
Eur says
may be, who knows.
In our countries they continue to exert blackmail and harassment those who are not rigorous with Islamic practices. All this leads to the formation of parallel societies where in the end the Islamic religious political structures claim to be able to legislate on their members later on a territory of Muslim majority and if they can above all a country. Thus, Islam is pure and hard theocracy.

Thank you for sharing this, as horrifying as it was. It exposes the common misconception that the Córdoba mosque / church was an example of Muslims and Christians living in harmony. Muslims always make sure to keep the upper hand in such situations.

It’s regrettable that Donald Trump isn’t reading these historical facts.

Barbarism is as much a part of Islam as love thy neighbor is to Christianity. For millennia Islam has committed barbaric acts on non believers in an attempt to bully them into following Islam.
And so it continues today as we see the same tactics used in Jihad. The difference today is the vast majority of those who are considered infidel kuffar have progressed technologically to the point where Islam and its followers are no longer a credible military threat and have to use tactics of terrorism on a much smaller scale.
The imminent threat that is posed by Islam is political and human. The infiltration and subversion of our governments by the Muslim Brotherhood and the mass invasion of “migrants” that burden our economy and social services, are two examples of the most damaging Islamic tactics used to try and destroy our culture from within.
We still have the power to defeat both strategies, as long as we are able to vote and use the power of unity to remove politicians who appease the Islamists, and replace them with politicians who are prepared to stand up for our values and culture.
This is beginning to happen and will continue as long as we continue to speak out to educate our fellow citizens and awaken them.

The problem is that in the West, this type of mentality and acts are considered as belonging to movies and history books … and it turns out that Muslims are here and now among us with the same attitude and committing the same acts. For us the middle ages are synonymous with ignorance, religious fundamentalism, wars … Muslims are educated to believe that those times were wonderful where Islamic law prevailed. Islam is synonymous with theocracy and that is incompatible with any other model of society. In the European Middle Ages the feudal kings and lords were not going to allow other laws to replace theirs, which were tyrannical. Now Muslims have the acceptance on the part of those who think that Islam is simply a different religion and that therefore brings color to our society. It is a huge mistake with catastrophic consequences for the future of our societies. We are throwing away hundreds of years of social advances.

More of the vaunted tolerance of “Al Andalus”, I see…
Here’s a typical load of Taqiyya on the subject:
“Islamic Tolerance in Al-Andalus”
http://www.alhewar.com/habeeb_salloum_islamic_tolerance_in_al-andalus.htm
Never any mentions of atrocities like the one above. But even here, the author lets his mask slip a bit by mentioning that anyone who dared to “publicly blasphemize (sic) the Prophet Muhammad” was persecuted.
Eur says
A barbarous time in all Europe … but the myth of al andalus is very strong. Keep in mind that the fall of the Roman Empire brought with it feudalism and the church went hand in hand with the feudal lords. The Muslim kingdoms followed the same law, the sharia, each feudal kingdom had different laws depending on its tyrant. The church demanded tithes, the feudal lords had fallen pernada …. the church burned heretics, there were plagues, black plague … indeed medieval Europe had very bad aspect. Sharia at that time gave uniformity to all lands under Muslim rule and tyrannical though there were written laws. What is absurd is that today Muslims continue with the myth of al andalus. Christianity does not have a law like sharia or Jewish law. For centuries the European kingdoms have been in fact theocracies but always under the interpretation of what the ecclesial authority wanted in each place. The current debate must be this: democracy vs. theocracy. Because Islam that’s what it proposes … a theocratic social model. Speaking about the past is absurd, so is talking about theological issues. Muslims must accept freedom of conscience, they must not control the lives of others according to religious norms … and they must respect indigenous cultures. If they continue with their theocratic aspirations …. … they should leave or this will end in war…
G. Hardy says
European kingdoms were never theocracies. There was always a distinction between the spiritual and temporal powers.

If you were Jewish or Christian Islamic Spain was not a walk in the park with a lady with a poodle.
Islamic Spain was a continual nightmare of persecution and crime interrupted by occasional moments of neglect by the Islamic rulers in which Jews and Christians were ignored. Then the persecution would begin again for the slightest reason.

THIS is what President Trump celebrated when he hosted an Iftar Dinner at the White House on Wednesday in honor of the Muslim feast of Ramadan. In essence he was congratulating the jihadi leaders he shared a meal with in the PEOPLE’S HOUSE for the 501 people that have been murdered by Islamic jihadis so far during this Ramadan. When are we going to act like true Americans and stop this treachery and shame being brought down upon us with our hard earned taxes? The federal government represents us to the rest of the world. We are being represented as no better than the muslim savages our government bows down to.

Trump was certainly clueless, but no–he was *not* celebrating the murder of Infidels by Muslims.

If this is true, and the major media networks remain silent as immigration flows and Islam as a legal ideology in democracy continues without challenge, it’s time to start asking questions.

JUST IN CASE YOU THINK YOU KNOW WHAT YOU THINK YOU KNOW, ABOUT WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW….
Titus destroyed Jerusalem in 70 A.D., the Roman government struck a coin with the phrase “JUDEA CAPTA,” meaning Judea has been captured. The term Palestine was never used in the early Roman designations.
It was not until the Romans crushed the second Jewish revolt against Rome in 135 A.D. under Bar Kochba that Emperor Hadrian applied the term Palestine to the Land of Israel. Hadrian, like many dictators since his time realized the propaganda power of terms and symbols. He replaced the shrines of the Jewish Temple and the Sepulchre of Christ in Jerusalem with temples to pagan deities.
He changed the name of Jerusalem to Aelian Capitalina, and changed the name of Israel and Judea to Palestine, interesting, where are the Aelian Capitolinian’s, exactly!. non existent!!!!
Hadrian’s selection of Palestine was purposeful, not accidental. He took the name of the ancient enemies of Israel, the Philistines, Latinized it to Palestine, and applied it to the Land of Israel. He hoped to erase the name Israel from all memory. Thus, the term Palestine as applied to the Land of Israel was invented by the inveterate enemy of the Bible and the Jewish people, Emperor Hadrian.
It is interesting to note that the original Philistines were not Middle Eastern at all. They were European peoples from the Adriatic sea next to Greece. It may have pleased Hadrian to utilize this Hellenistic term for the Jewish land. In any case, the original “Palestinians” had nothing to do, whatsoever, with any Arabs.
If anything, The Pope of The Holy See, Pope Francis has an obligation to abolish the Roman created term.
