Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Ramadan in Indonesia: Muslims force closure of church

Jun 6, 2018 9:53 am By Robert Spencer

“The subject peoples … are forbidden to build new churches.” (Reliance of the Traveller, o11.5).

“Muslims force closure of church in South Kalimantan, Indonesia,” Barnabas Fund, June 5, 2018:

Local Muslims forced the closure of a Protestant church in Banjarmasin city, on the Indonesian island of South Kalimantan, on 22 May.

Muslims claimed that the approval given to the church by local authorities was not valid and should be cancelled. As a result of the increased tension, the church has had to suspend services, leaving the 100-strong congregation without anywhere to meet.

A law introduced in 2006 requires applications for Christian places of worship to be supported by signatures from 60 local, non-Christian households.

Another church in Banjarmasin, which was established in 1995, has had to move its meeting location seven times because the municipal government has refused to grant them a licence for a permanent building. Despite the rejections, the congregation has worked hard to build relationships within the community, and local Muslims have even helped with church-run Christmas activities….

This is a perfect example for unread Westerners who naively think that Sharia law will not affect them in the slightest.

Westerners assume naively that SHARIA law applies only to Muslims. In fact, Sharia law applies to NON-MUSLIMS.

Roman Catholic canon law applies only to Roman Catholics. Jewish Halakha law only applies to Jews.

Discriminatory SHARIA is ALLAH’S UNIVERSAL LAWS for the entire world. They are extremely discriminatory.

Westerners should pull their heads out of the sand.

I’d switch the words “the sand” for another two.

Freedom of religion in Indonesia applies only to adherents of six major religious groupings, Buddhism, Catholicism, Confucianism, Hinduism, Islam and Protestantism. Questioning any of those six can lead to five years in prison for “insulting a major religion” and six more years if the Internet is used. Indonesia prohibits blasphemy by its Criminal Code. In July 2005, the MUI issued a fatwa that condemned the sect of Ahmadiyya as a heresy. In June 2008, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Home Ministry issued a Joint Ministerial Letter regarding the Ahmadiyya. The letter told authorities to restrict Ahmadiyya activities to private worship, and to prevent the Amadhi Muslims from proselytizing. Provincial governors in West Sumatra, South Sumatra, and West Nusa Tenggara banned all Ahmadiyya activity.

Evidences from international human rights organization including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International found that the Indonesian government has been sponsoring migrations of Muslims from Java and other Muslim-majority provinces into Christian areas such as Papua, West Papua, North Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, Muluku, East Nusa Tenggara, and West Nusa Tenggara in an attempt to dislodge Christian and indigenous minorities and to block separatist attempts. International media has been banned from reporting the migrations, especially in the western part of New Guinea, where international media was blocked in Papua and West Papua by Jakarta.

Religious discrimination is thus RAMPANT in Indonesia.

So remember, if Christianity is the ruling majority, just…

    1. close all the mosques
    2. get rid of all the korans
    3. forbid celebration of muslim holidays
    4. stamp out any sign of islam
    5. if they don’t obey, put them in prison

After all, they can’t complain because that is what they do, and to complain would be ‘biased.’
Of course even what their koran says to do to those of other religions is much worse than this list, I have not said anything about burning their books, mosques, stoning them, torturing them, murdering them, cutting off their body parts, raping their women, stealing their goods, enslaving them, taking their children and raising them as Christians, their women as ‘sex slaves’, putting crosses over their mosques and breaking all their crescents, and all the things they did in Constantiniple… because those things are not Christian, they belong to evil islam!

I once attended a church meeting at a city called Bima on an eastern island of Indonesia. The church was entered by a door on a side street. Only a very small sign by the door indicated it was a church. No crosses visible and no windows. From outside you wouldn’t know it was a church at all. A doorman allowed entry. Inside full of light and friendly faces. But you could feel the oppression these people were under in that city. Many people in Europe have no idea what is coming their way.
