I was walking down the street a few days ago and happened to notice the moon hanging in the afternoon sky. The sky was cloudless and blue; a beautiful summer’s day. The moon on display was cut in half, due to its position in the solar system and the amount of available light the sun was able to shine on it because of the Earth being in the way.
It got me thinking about Allah splitting the moon in two and Muslims believing that he did and could still do so. I’ve been to some very remote and high mountainous areas in New Hampshire and Scotland; areas so secluded that it felt as if I was the first person ever to have walked on the earth that was beneath my feet. The lack of electric light coupled with the complete black of the night sky meant that there was no visible horizon available to me. The stars were so bright and large that it seemed like I could reach up and pluck them, or that I could take one step forward and make my way into the cosmos by stepping onto the first of a million of them.
It was primal and scary, and I could see how our ancestors would look for portents in the changing weather and atmosphere. A bolt of lightning could very well seem to have been sent from an angry and vengeful God, for example. Thunder could seem to be His voice, and torrential rains or floods could be taken as a sign of physical punishment being meted out. Likewise, a half moon seen in the sky could be taken as a sign that Allah had cut it in half, something that Muslims don’t seem to consider.
I spoke about this recently with a young Arab Muslim woman (replete with very Westernized blue contact lenses). She told me that Allah split the moon in two and that there is documented evidence of this cut, as attested to by NASA. Of course, she was unable to find the link when she tried to google it on her phone. I asked her if she was aware of the impact the moon has on the Earth’s axial tilt and the tides. She simply replied by saying, “Don’t you think Allah could control all of these things?”
“No,” I said, “I don’t. I would need to see the evidence. Science, facts and reason trump blind faith at every turn.”
A fellow Muslim came up to her and told her not to talk to me because I was holding a bottle of beer. The implication being that I was drunk and didn’t know what I was talking about. I wasn’t drunk. I had just opened the bottle. It was late Sunday afternoon in the UK, a perfect time to drink a cold one, and of course it’s perfectly legal to drink alcohol in public spaces in London, so I wasn’t doing anything wrong. I replied by telling the Muslim that I might be drinking alcohol, but I have never in my life been so drunk that I thought the moon could be split in two. He walked away, and I left the young woman to pontificate to the crowd who had gathered around her.
The location was Speakers’ Corner in London; a place where a person can quickly lose brain cells if choosing to participate in what passes for debate. Next, I chatted to a smiling and seemingly pleasant enough man who claimed to be a Quranist, meaning that he ignores the hadiths and follows only the Quran. I asked him if he had ever heard of the battle of Yamama. He hadn’t. This is important because it’s believed that almost all of the hafizes (those men who had memorized Muhammad’s Quran by heart) were killed. After the battle, it was left to Abu Bakr to gather up the remaining written texts and compile the Quran that is known to people today. The point being that Muhammad’s Quran can never be known, and that what he is following might not be what Muhammad had intended.
He told me he would look it up and then, in the next breath, very pleasantly told me not to worry, that he wouldn’t kill me. I was taken aback by his gleeful arrogant reassurance, and I sarcastically said to him, “Well, thank you very much. That’s very generous of you.” And I told him that he, too, shouldn’t worry, and that he can feel free to go about his business safe in the knowledge that I won’t kill him either. It is incredible to me to think that any group of people feel they have the absolute right to kill another human being at their leisure and on a whim. His lack of knowledge in relation to the Quran quickly bored me, as it led down the same path as before – ignore science and facts, and instead rely on blind faith.
There was a young, tall, caucasian Muslim man in the crowd who was wearing gaudy black and gold trousers that looked like wallpaper, the velvet kind you find in British pubs. He had fashioned a headpiece out of the same material which made him look like a Saudi sheikh who had been dressed by Versace. The material was wrapped and rolled around the top of his head and fell halfway down his back in a kind of tapering tail. I would bet money that this man’s face will appear on the front page of a newspaper in the very near future, in relation to being involved with Islamic extremism. He seemed to be religiously devout in a way that is very specific to Islam, a way that relies on a literal reading of the texts and an intense allegiance to them.
Curious, I approached him and asked him if his outfit was representative of any particular sect of Islam. He told me he had had it made to his own specifications. He didn’t have much facial hair, but what he did have he had attempted to grow into a beard. I asked him why he had decided to convert to Islam. He told me that it would take him five months to explain it all to me and that I would have grown my own long beard by the time he was done. The conversation turned to homosexuality and he told me, “In Sicily, where I am from, we beat up and we kill gays.”
“Is that what attracted you to Islam,” I asked him, “the fact that you both agree on the treatment of gays?”
He was with two Muslim friends, and I had put him on the spot. He tried to deny what he had just publicly stated and told me that “sh*t” was pouring out of my mouth. I told him I was simply repeating to him the words he had spoken only moments before. At this point, together with his friends, he started backing away from me as though I had something on me that was contagious. They didn’t turn their backs on me, they simply backed away while I stepped forward with my own verbal onslaught, shouting at him that “Islam kills gays.”
There is only so much of this denial of reality I can take, and so I decided to venture home. As I exited the park, I was reminded of another conversation I had had with a white ginger convert there. He told me that sperm is created in our backbones. By joining Islam, he had reverted intellectually. He and I had both attended the same biology classes in the UK’s school system. We were both shown how sperm is produced in the testes, but when he joined Islam he threw this verifiable information out of the window in order to believe the unbelievable.
Muslims are standing on quicksand. Their logic can’t be defended, and is easily torn apart. Every time I talk to one of them it all comes back to blind faith, the kind that ignores and denies science, physics, astronomy, logic and reason to an embarrassing degree. Other religions will throw in the towel and admit that the more sensational parts of their texts are not to be taken literally when proven wrong, but Muslims don’t. They hang on for dear life to absurdities, such as their notion of the structure of the universe (that Heaven has a physical location above the Earth). We have sent space probes to the outermost reaches of our solar system, and we have seen no evidence of seven domed layers of Heaven where sits a sea, and above which can be found eight giant mountain goats. This is the stuff of fairy tales, and yet Muslims believe every word. It’s the kind of thing that can only be believed by infantilized minds.
I’ve mentioned this to Muslims before and they’ve all said to me, “We haven’t sent the space probes deep enough.” They actually believe that eight giant mountain goats are to be found hanging around in outer space. I find myself unable to argue with that kind of logic, and Muslims don’t appear to want to challenge the absurdities to be found in their texts any time soon. Until they do, the insanity will continue.

allah’s a strange god alright….
1.His violent antisemitic nature is most peculiar{The true Biblical God of Moses cannot have an antisemitic bias,especially given the fact that the entire Biblical narrative is… JEWISH and ALL Biblical prophets from Moses to Jesus Christ are..Jewish}
what does allah think of these Jews?
“Apes to be despised and hated” koran 2 v 65
But the God{Of Moses,of Jesus.} cannot possibly have an anti-semitic bias.
Ogh but allah does!
2.allah’s inability to understand Theology is absolutely astonishing.
Let me explain..
One of the aspects of God that Jesus Christ taught was that God’s wisdom comes thorough the power of His Holy Spirit. This is not a “part” of God or a separate God in some kind of polytheistic system:It is 3 aspects of God in one.
This Holy spirit{=God’s wisdom} was manifested to mankind at the time of Christ.
It is impossible to understand Prophecy without this Holy spirit
{see 2Peter 1 v 20-21}
And we see from koran 4:171 that allah doesn’t know what it is or believe in it himself.
A god who claims to be God who doesn’t know what God’s Holy Spirit is?
That’s a bit like a computer without that essential operating system.it won’t work.
Note this well;Christians will get it but moslems won’t.
It seems allah missed the bit about God’s Wisdom{just as he completely missed those essential 2 chief commandments found both in Judaism AND Christianity but not in islam}
allah makes it quite clear that he doesn’t believe in(or even understand the Theology behind ..) this mysterious Trinity;the problem with allah’s denial and rejection of the trinity{NOTA BENE} is that it is ALSO a rejection and denial of ….God’s Wisdom{His Holy Spirit}
“say not “three”.. Cease!it is better for you” says allah the theologically challenged god of islam in koran 4:171
So here we have allah revealing that he DOES NOT KNOW what God’s Holy Spirit{=His wisdom}is:after all he says “say not “three.cease!” in koran 4:171 and one of the aspects of the mysterious “three” is?….God’s Holy Spirit.
“cease!” says allah as if to say “Don’t you go now and believe in this here “Holy Spirit”….but the Holy Spirit is GOD’S WISDOM!
Christians see that:moslems won’t,and they don’t see this enormous koranic error!
That’s an epic Theological flaw in the “perfect” koran: a book, muslims will tell you has no errors in it.
3 allah CURSES the Jews AND the Christians koran 9:30
That makes no Theological (or even logical) sense whatsoever!
such a god that spews hatred towards non-moslems is obviously NOT the good Biblical Judeo-Christian God
Such a god who curses Jews for being Jews and Christians for believing in Jesus is “allah”; a god who kindly informs us in k3:54 that he is in fact..”the best of deceivers”{Just as his “perfect” prophet muhammed boastfully admits to being a false prophet in al tabari 6:111}

Islam and its deity are easy targets if for no other reason then the deviations from easily proven scientific facts. Citing Christian beliefs does nothing except to show that muslims do not accept Christianity’s concept of god. In fact, 75-80% of the people on this planet don’t (including some so called “Christians” too).
Christianity doesn’t prove islam wrong any more than Buddhism does. I don’t believe in Buddhism either but at least it isn’t so obviously anti-scientific fact.
Islam as a religion, belief system, cult or whatever rises or falls on its own merits (or lack thereof) and not simply because it isn’t “Christian” or “Buddhist”. From where I’m sitting it falls badly.

I will also add the following:
Historically, Judaism and Christianity are credited with having originated secular education. A higher education in liberal arts, for example, is based on the Jesuit model of education.
Islam has nothing comparable in its history. Neither does it permit its followers to think scientifically (logic does not exist in Islam).

FYI, but non of mithraist christians has been able to answer satisfactorily the questions :how and when Jesus became Godman and begotten son of God? one idiot said Godman as Trinity refers to 3 aspect of God, which is rubbish because God the father, God the son and God the Holy Spirit mean 3 entities which can be computed as 1God =F(F+s+h)=1God(1+1+1)=3gods,which is clear polytheism.Another idiot computed the formular as 1God =1(1*1*1)=1God, which is a fallacy because it is expressed as one entity after the other and as such they have to be added to give the sum total and no other way around. Fools!!

There is something to the semi-joke about the different kinds of negative kind of behavior of a Fundamentalist Baptist Christian male and the kind of behavior of a Fundamentalist Salafist Muslim male when they encounter, at different times, a homosexual man. For when a Fundamentalist Baptist Christian man meets a “gay” man, that type of Christian will say many very ignorant things to him and as a result of those ignorant things said that “gay” man will end up with a headache. In contrast, when a Fundamentalist Salafist Muslim man encounters a homosexual man, that type of Muslim will cut that “gay” man’s head off.

If you are a Muslim, you are a Muslim. There is no room for also being a person. Not only is there no room for them being a person, there is no room in Islam for you and me being a person either. I consider myself to be Post Christian. I have no belief in God nor the Devil. But in Islam I see the distillation of pure evil.

I would hold, ‘though, that the Bible does not need to be explained by relegating some of its seemingly preposterous claims to allegory unless such a passage is explicitly designated as requiring such an interpretation. The veracity of the Bible can be defended without having to go through exegetical gymnastics.

To many Christians today Christianity is based on blind faith and the literal interpretation of the Bible. Historically it was based on blind faith in what the local priest or minister said it was.
The BIG DIFFERENCE is what the faith was in. The moral teachings of Christianity are most excellent even though they are followed less in practice then one would want. The same can not be said for Islam’s teachings.

Regardless I stand by me comment. One need only watch the comments on this site to find a few “literalists”. I am not making a blanket comment criticizing Christianity rather just pointing out that there is a lot of “blind” faith outside islam. In fact isn’t “blind” faith the ONLY kind there is? If it wasn’t “blind” it wouldn’t be faith. Faith isn’t something one reasons out. If you can prove something you aren’t taking it “on faith”. Similarly some people take what is written in the Bible as 100% true and accurate. Not so?
Rarely says
Jay Boo
I wasn’t criticizing Christianity. Rather just pointing out that “blind” faith isn’t restricted to islam. In fact isn’t ALL faith “blind”. If it wasn’t blind it wouldn’t be “faith”. That is, you don’t take something on faith that has been proven to you to be true. You would be accepting it as “fact”.
Also there certainly are people who take the Bible literally. It is confusing to some people when one cherry picks what is true and what is just an allegory or just plain fiction. e.g. how many people on this site believe the universe was created in seven 24 hour days? Or that Eve was created out of one of Adam’s ribs? Or that Moses separated the Red Sea?
The European says
“Isn’t all faith blind?”
I don’t think so. Another word for pistis (faith) is trust. Let’s suppose there is a hurdle and someone tells you to jump over it, but you are not an athletic nor have you ever done such a thing. Nevertheless, you say yes, I will do it. What is your decision based on.?Facts? Barlely, since you have never jumped over that hurdle. Reason? Reason would tell you rather not to jump, since you are not an athletic, untrained, too old …whatever or, on the contrary, reason might say: Do it, your neighbor who isn’t an athletic either has done,it once, why can’t you do it, but either way, there is still a doubt, and you can discuss the matter all day long without ever making a decision. But if you make the decision to jump, your decison is not only based on reason, but on faith as well, reason alone will not be enough, you need to act on trust, trust in yourself Faith is an act of will, and without that act nothing would ever happen.
It is “blind” insofar as the outcome is concerned , since you cannot predict the future ( will I succeed or will I fail), but it is not “blind” insofar as I “know intuitively” that I can make it, that I trust myself.
What I have said here about trust in yourself, applies also to “trust (or faith) in God!”
Faith is not blind, it is based upon the Bible, upon the testimony of other believers, and upon your own experience with God. Faith is experience of God, a kind of intuitive knowledge which does not reject reason but transcends it; reason and faith are inseperable, as St. John says: “We have believed and known that you are the holy one of God,” (John 6,69)
What you call cherrypicking, I would call it the different levels of understanding Holy Scripture and Christian tradition. There is a literal meaning ( the ten commandments, for example), a moral meaning ( in the sense that biblical stories can be a guideline for moral conduct, the story of the good Samaritan), and an allegorical meaning ( Jesus’ paraboles about the Kingdom of Heaven, for example).

The moon on display was cut in half, due to its position in the solar system and the amount of available light the sun was able to shine on it because of the Earth being in the way.”
Joshua, you say that only half the Earth-facing surface of the moon was visible because the other half was in the Earth’s shadow. What you are describing is a partial eclipse of the moon. And yet nowhere on Earth was there an eclipse of the moon a few days before July 13, 2018. You have witnessed a miracle!
You further refer to “the impact the moon has on the Earth’s axial tilt and the tides.” So you are asserting that the moon affects the tilt of the Earth’s axis of rotation with respect to the plane of the Earth’s orbit around the sun. How does the moon affect this tilt? If the moon disappeared, would the Earth’s axial tilt change?

No not all religion is blind faith. In Christianity you experience the peace and love of the Holy Spirit. Christians have a living relationship with Jesus and Jesus is healing many in today’s world. Because of the love Christians experience they forward this love and charity to others. Just because you have not experienced the love and peace of God does not mean it dose not exist.

I was engulfed in the most mind blowing peace and love, something that can not be explained in words. It was an amazing experience that altered my life. I have experienced many miracles and guidance since and have not the slightest doubt about Jesus. If I ask Jesus a question about what action I should take,or what direction I should go, I usually get an immediate answer, not in words but in very clear thoughts. True believers are there because they have experienced the love of Jesus and we have no doubt that we are loved and protected.

I attended a presentation that he gave at a community college, maybe 10 years ago, having been invited by the CC’s MSA. One of his proudest stories showing the greatness of his prophet was the moon story, from Koran 54:1-2. The infidel mind can not easily correlate how a scientist who helps design and place heavy objects in space can believe such stuff as literal fact. But he did.
I asked him a question during Q&A: considering that he is well-studied in physics, suppose that he were hired by this CC as a physics instructor, would he teach the physics of the splitting of the moon, its descent to rest upon two mountain tops, and its return to space and recomposition? After a hem & haw, he said “Yes, if the administration wanted him to.”
Here he is:

Yes, what more could be expected from a Muslim scientist but to agree that his god split the moon in half. It’s hardly an impartial source.
Carolyne says
Some years ago Mohammed Ali while appearing with Johnny Carson was attempting to explain how Muslims placed the moon in the sky. But, he said he didn’t exactly remember how they did it. I guess not.

Thanks, Montedoro44. I was unfamiliar with the witless Abdul Hye. Here in this video he makes the assertion that the moon was split in half, but says nothing about how this might have been accomplished, nor what effect it would have on the earth:

He seems to have learned little working for NASA. I can only assume that his work there was limited in scope and not directly sullied by his Islamic bs.

Well Allah is The Deceiver, The Liar, The Father of the Lie.
Incidentally I have some friends who are Wiccans one who happens to be Dianic, and she will tell you even the moon phases are grounded in science, not some half-assed Quranic proclamation.
Lydia Church says
Lots and lots of people on here still need to find Jesus and get saved.
That’s all that will matter in the end.
Carolyne says
To you Lydia, perhaps. Many things, in my estimation, will matter in the end. That is not one of them.

Allah – splitting the moon in half and killing gays for 1400 years
…………………….
Great stuff from Joshua Winston–thank you.
Very often, Muslim apologists here will indignantly ask if this or that poster “ever talks to actual Muslims”–as though if they did, they would find that all Muslims are peaceful and rational and that–somehow–Jihad does not actually exist.
But exchanges with Muslims are far more apt to be like the ones you describe here–where Muslims actually reveal the savagery and irrationality of Islam.
Ibrahim itace muhammed says
Joshua Winston, the miracle of splitting the moon into two in an answer to pagan meccans who challenged the holy Prophet Muhammad that if he was true prophet let the moon split into two and it happened was not a change to solar system, because the two parts later reunited. it is similar to the miracle performed by Moses when he hit the river and the water splitted and Israelites passed and when Pharaoh entered the water reunited and Pharaoh was drowned. Be educated.
Thank you

“Be educated”? Here’s a guy, Mo, who can split the Moon in two but doesn’t know where lightening or thunder comes from and believes that sperm is manufactured in the spinal column. And THAT makes sense to you? And you suggest someone else get educated?
BTW. What’s your take on the goings on in Yemen where cmuslims are murdering other muslims by the drove? Just how is that the fault of the U.S. or Israel and/or the Jews?

“…lightning or thunder come from…”

Most Bible stories likely have their source in a factual tale (but we do so love to improve upon nature!). Here’s one take on the parting of the Red Sea”

The illiterate Ibrahim itace muhammed is telling intelligent Infidels to “be educated”? Now *that* is hilarious.

I appreciate your experience but, because you have actually experienced a supreme being and received help and guidance you are no longer acting on faith but on knowledge. I know I’m splitting hairs with these definitions but I question those who preach this or that as a Universal Truth without having any actual experience and therefore no basis for their assertions except “blind” faith.
Susan B says
It is not just me but millions that have experienced this. Just because you have not experienced the divine does not deny that truth.
I do not care if you chose to be atheist, but you would have a harder time explaining no God as to a God.

You misunderstood me. I’m no atheist and I’ve been there, done that and I’ve got the T-shirt. Actually I’m still earning the T-shirt.
Keep it up.

I spoke about this recently with a young Arab Muslim woman (replete with very Westernized blue contact lenses). She told me that Allah split the moon in two and that there is documented evidence of this cut, as attested to by NASA. Of course, she was unable to find the link when she tried to google it on her phone.
……………………..
Of course she couldn’t find it. This is what NASA *actually* had to say about this:
In 2010 a NASA Lunar Science Institute (NLSI) staff scientist named Brad Bailey said, “No current scientific evidence reports that the Moon was split into two (or more) parts and then reassembled at any point in the past.”
Ibrahim itace muhammed says
Liar Gravenimage, miracles like spliting the moon and reassembled cannot be possibly determined by solar scientists in the same way scientists could not possibly find whether the water splitted by Moses was reunited and Pharaoh was drowned, because miracles are violators of natural laws above human calculation. But future prophecies foretelling about definite future occurance like what is attributed to Jesus in Mathew where Jesus told his audience that this physical world has ended more than 2000,which never happened, can be determined by rational calculation and even by common sense.
Pete says
hmmm. me thought allah was only interested in lavishing booty and pussy onto muhamad.
Pete says
ok. ibby NASA documents reveal that they shifted tons of superglue cyanoacrylate to the moon in the sixties!
allah could not fix it together so it was left to the Americans

Ibrahim itace muhammed better take that up with the Muslim in the story above who said that NASA confirmed Muhammed splitting the earth.
More:

……………………….
Of course, the Book of Matthew says no such thing.
But then, Ibrahim itace muhammed has said far more outrageous things before–including that the Bible tells parents to dip their hands in their daughter’s vaginas and then force them to engage in incest, and that the Bible teaches Christian clerics to crucify and rape women. Bizarre and ugly.
Of course, he has been unable to cite any such verses, since they don’t exist.
isaac says
aha….excellent find….
Ibrahim itace muhammed says
Pete, you are just an ignorant idiot. Allah created all natural phenomena and endows man with intellect to manipulate such natural phenomena to suit his needs as stated in the Quran on the story of Adam and Even. so, it is not He who will manipulate such natural phenomena for you, you use your God-endowed intellect to do it by yourself like refilling the eroded soil to farm or build a house or diverting the water ways for navigation or shifting tons of superglue cyanoacrylate by NASA .
where God does it Himself, it is called miracle like spliting the moon ,which is beyond human intellect to determine.
Susan B says
Ibraham – allah can not create anything, only God can do that. Why are you so ignorant of truth. No worries Jesus will destroy your female hating pagan moon god. It is written and every Bible prophecy to date has been 100% correct and all Bible prophecy still to happen will be 100% correct as well. Ibraham, why muslim think that their evil allah can win against God boggles the mind.
Ibrahim itace muhammed says
Susan B,Allah created all, including your satan god the cursed one in yahweh and his wife Ashera hero gods. you and your satan god you call Holy Spirit will be casted into hottest lake of hellfire burning forever
Susan B says
Iberham, your inbred low IQ is showing. allah commands rape and murder and hates females. That evil entity comes from below not above.
Carolyne says
Susan, could you kindly give a few examples of the Bible’s predictions coming true? Not imaginary, but actual? Thank you.
Susan B says
Carolyne – I am not a Biblical scholar but there are some on JW that can do the question justice. I do know that over 300 prophecies were fulfilled with the coming of Jesus. I do know that I have experienced the love of the divine, but for someone like you who hates that you can not put things into a nice neat box and tie it up, that does not make sense. I find it interesting that atheist are so desperate to prove there is no God and seem to fail every time. You are not a superior person for being an atheist nor are you smarter or more enlighten you are just another flawed human who thinks they know it all.
When I share my experiences it is just that sharing my experiences that make up why I believe what I do. What atheist like you do not get is I do not care that you do not believe, time will prove one of us wrong.

If Ibrahim itace muhammed is an example of the intellect Allah has endowed on Muslims, then it is no wonder they are such a mess.

Ibraham, you do realize that Satan, or allah as mohammedans prefer can not create anything. Why is logic so difficult for you mohammedans; could banging your head on the ground have given you brain damage.

The Moon doesn’t appear to be split in half due to “the Earth being in its way.” That has nothing to do with it, except in an eclipse perhaps. Take some basic astronomy and stay the hell away from moslems. They could warp your logic completely.

DESIDERATA
Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.”
