One of them is living in a fantasy world, and one of them is working on the plane of reality.
“Theresa May praises the ‘fantastic contribution’ made by immigrants as she dismisses Trump’s claims Britain is ‘losing its culture’ because of the influx,” by Iain Burns and Kate Ferguson, Mailonline, July 13, 2018:
Theresa May today hit back at Donald Trump’s incendiary warning Britain is ‘losing its culture’ because of immigration.
The Prime Minister said that immigrants from all over the world have made a ‘fantastic contribution’ to life in the UK.
Although she also stressed that Britain will end free movement when the country quits the European Union.
Mr Trump has sent the Special Relationship into meltdown by trashing the PM’s Brexit plans which he said killed off hopes of a transatlantic trade deal.
And he said warned Britain – and the rest of Europe – is ‘losing its culture’ by allowing ‘millions and millions’ of people to move in.
In a firm slap down this morning, he PM’s official spokeswoman made it clear Mrs May does not share his view.
She said: ‘On immigration, we have always said that people from all over the world have come here and made this country what it is and we welcome their contribution.
‘Britain is one of the best countries in the world to come and live – but at the same time we want to put in place a system which ensures we have control of our borders and that is what we are going to do later this year.
‘But let’s be clear, this is a country where people come from all over the world and make a fantastic contribution.’
Mr Trump has rocked Westminster by giving an astonishing interview to The Sun lashing the PM policies on Brexit, immigration and her negotiating style.
On immigration, he said: ‘I think it changed the fabric of Europe and, unless you act very quickly, it’s never going to be what it was and I don’t mean that in a positive way.
‘So I think allowing millions and millions of people to come into Europe is very, very sad.
‘I think you are losing your culture. Look around. You go through certain areas that didn’t exist ten or 15 years ago.’
Speaking to The Sun in Brussels before coming to Britain yesterday, Mr Trump said: ‘I think what has happened to Europe is a shame.
‘Allowing the immigration to take place in Europe is a shame.
He also said that crime was being ‘brought in’ to London and criticised Sadiq Khan – with whom he has clashed several times already – over his failure to prevent it….
Marty says
may is correct. muslm immigrants have contributed a great deal to british culture. Prior to their arrival the country lacked female genital mutilation, sharia courts, polygamy, institutionalized pedophilia, mass rapes, lots of murders, and a record number of parasites on welfare. What a record.

I am sorry to be a doomsday purveyor but it is also my opinion that the U.K. IS lost.
Whilst the local residents in Hackney continue to actively protest at the building of an Islamic school housing up to a thousand students on a very prominent and extremely congested site
In Croydon South London the Islamic encroachment proceeds at a pace.
A previously calm and leafy neighbourhood is being transformed into an Islamic haunting ground. A chemist shop was bought and turned into a newsagents and is now being transformed into a “ Muslim Cultural Centre”. A friend used to park her car on that side of the street and the other day as she was getting out of her car a man in Islamic garb whom she never saw before approached her and without further ado said “ When are you moving out?” My friend was taken aback by this opening question. She replied she was not intending to sell. The Muslimman said “ it is a nice big house. When you are ready to sell let me be the first to know” !

I am not surprised.
The UK made a HUGE mistake in allowing Moslems to enter its borders and now they are paying for it. Very, very sad.

Cicero,
Sorry to hear such sad incidents. Muslims have been told that they are “taking over the UK” and hence they won’t be ashamed of telling you-When are you selling your house.
The bribery and corruption of top echelons in the UK are another factor. It is not that she wanted the Muslims to swarm her country. I was one of the aspirants to work in the UK for a year or two and make a “fortune”.in the year 2005. You had Tony Blair who milked millions of dollars helping immigrants settle in the UK(through his wife). Most of the cases pertain to legal tangles of immigrants.
I wonder there could be many be more corrupt leaders and academicians who parrot for Islam.

That is shocking. We in America would have had the same traitorous talk from Hillary Clinton. The demonic and atheistic Left does not care about the common man or woman, the indigenous people. They care about getting paid to take in the replacements, and it is as simple as that. She is getting paid, all these politicians are getting paid, to bring in Muslims to take over the land. This is an invasion assisted and supported by political leaders, and the pope and his minions as well. The acid attacks, female genital mutilation, stabbings, none of that registers with these people, because IT ISN’T THEM.

“London’s early sewers were basically open ditches sloped to convey the wastes to the Thames River, thence out to the sea. These ditches received everything that people could throw into them. King Henry VIII decreed in the late 1500s that homeowners were responsible for cleaning that portion of the “sewer” on which their property fronted. He also created a Commission of Sewers to enforce these rules; however, it was not until 1622 that the Commission was seated [good pun].”

Evangeline says
From what I understand the UK government knows full well there are thousands and thousands of white, English girls being groomed for rape and in sex trafficking, and they refuse to do anything about it. In fact, this was why Tommy Robinson was outside the court videotaping, and the government is so keen on silencing him. He has made it known that this is going on and the government refuses to take any steps against these Muslims who are raping native British children. That is institutionalized pedophilia, if the government knows about it and refuses to act out of fear. They are complicit.
abad says
Yep.
Britain used to be civilized now it has a lethal dose of uncivilized behaviour courtesy of Islam.

I have yet to hear one example of the fantastic contribution the mass miration is making. Yes some individuals do make a contribution, but how does 50% of a certain faith living on benefits, contribute and benefit our country. Can some ‘economist’ explain that? Those people have never paid into the system which is supported by the working tax payers. They also get free education, free health care and often free or subsidised housing along with their state handouts. This is handed out on arrival with no previous effort needed. A migrant couple who had been living in England for 15 YEARS have just been jailed for a mere 3 years. Their crime? Defrauding the tax payer of 120,000 pounds in welfare by falsely claiming to be former residents of the Grenfell tower (destroyed by fire). Will they get deported on release? Highly unlikely. What is the fantastic contribution they have made? Nobody including the government knows how many illegals there are in this country. The government cannot even keep track of them when they are obtaining benefits fraudulently!

On a different but associated thought. What about those pages of instructions in different languages on the operation of some product you bought. That prove that there is no assimilation….tHose long ago migrants learned our language, had skills to contribute and that is assimilation
eduardo odraude says
Marty, your list is good, but you left off a key element — a wave of more or less invisible self-censorship in the media has risen as a result of intimidation, death threats, and terror by Muslims. The influx of Muslims has seriously wounded that inconvenient thing, freedom of the press.

————————————————————————————————–
You are dead right – it was an utter disgrace, and the shabby way in which this visit was conducted shames Great Britain as much as it insults America.
I was returning from France on a car-ferry when the news about Trump’s visit came on, and I was delighted that somebody’s finally told May some home truths about the consequences of her many and various inadequacies.
One good thing that may come out of it, is that more people will come to understand that May doesn’t even control central London, let alone speak for the entire UK.
Neither do the protesters speak for the majority, although that’s what the BBC would like you to believe.
“…. if it weren’t for the US military and our allied forces…” – Coincidentally, I’ve just spent the past few days in Normandy touring battlefields and museums, and encountered “Trump Derangement Syndrome” amongst a party of Americans seated at the next table in a restaurant in Arromanches – right next to one of the invasion beaches and within sight of the remains of one of the “Mulberry” floating harbours.
One guy was really nice and was hoping to find out more about his uncle who’d been killed during the liberation – but the rest were loudly fanatical Trump-haters, and it seemed bizarre that people who were so dedicated to undermining their own country’s security would be visiting the Normandy battle-area at all.
They were astonished that I defended Trump, and the anger and scorn I unleashed in them was quite something: “Yeah, right – Make America Great Again.” they sneered.
As for the damage being caused to Europe by mass migration, I was reminded of this as soon as I reached the ferry at Dunkirk, and had a party of Muslims two cars in front of me. The only woman amongst them was in full muslim garb – moving about in the head-down, bowed posture of someone who’s had all the spirit knocked out of them, and busy with babies while the swaggering men ignored her.
On returning to the car-deck at Dover, one child – a little girl of around 18 months, I’d guess – toddled past the family’s car. One of the men – not deigning to take the child by the hand, or explain to her that she was heading the wrong way – turned her round, then simply put his foot in the child’s back and pushed her to where he wanted her. The contempt of the Islamic world for women was summed-up in that one moment.

Some sort of left-wing disease seems to have gripped the so-called ‘intelligent’ classes on both sides of the pond and caused severe distortion of the cognitive faculties. The symptoms seem to include some kind of pathological self-deprecation with inverted racist and sexist (misandric feminist) overtones, the intended outcome of which seems to be some kind gratuitous, masochistic group self-destruction. The manifestations of this disorder appear in the apparent wilfully-induced failure of logical thought-processes which would normally allow rational percpetion but rather distorts them in order to fit some preconceived notions of reality that actually amount to self-induced destructive delusions. Thus, ‘we in the West are guilty/bad/whatever’, therefore anything that is ‘different’ is ipso facto ‘good’ regardless of any evidence to the contrary, and therefore any perceived key features of ‘western evil’ are ipso facto ‘bad’. Consequently, since Caucasian males were predominantly responsible for Western achievements, all persons of that description are now ipso facto ‘bad’ or ‘defective’, or ‘undesirable’ in some way irrespective of what they actually do.
Thus:-
1. Whilst President Trump has already made a start in turning around the American economy where others have failed, defused a potential nuclear catastrophy and set up dialogue with a rogue dictator where others have failed, identified and sought to correct domestic issues which may or may not include continuing previous policies, he remains ‘bad’ or an ‘idiot’, or a ‘racist’ or ‘misogynist’ (or whatever fashionable insult) purely because of hisidentity. And this transparently racist/sexist stance will be vehemently justified by those who self-righteously rsil agsinst ‘racism’ and ‘sexism’.
2. Sadiq Khan has a transparently dubious ‘professional’ track record and a demonstrably mediocre intellect yet was elevated to a highly influential position because of his ‘different’ ethnic and religious status and allowed to perform in a transparently partisan fashion and at a lamentable level of incompetence with dire consequences for an entire city purely because of his identity, whilst the chattering pseudo-intelligentsia ignore the evidence iof the appalling statistics and indulge their inverted-racist delusions.
The American public are to be congratulated for choosing a President correctly on the grounds of his capabilities as a person. As for the rest of us – what are you supposed to do when the lunatics have taken over the asylum?

I am what we English call an ex-pat. Return to england? No thank you. Perhaps the great contribution of so many immigrants is large scale english migration to other places, to the benefit of the rest of the world.
It is important however to be discriminating when it comes to which immigrants we are discussing. If Mrs May was talking solely, for example, about Jamaican immigrants, she would be right. They have indeed contributed greatly in a positive way.
Hari Singh says
I agree it depends on which immigrants you are speaking of, so in one respect PM May is correct and in another President Trump is correct. But a blanket statement that all immigrants to UK are beneficial is patently wrong, and even most immigrants would agree that not all immigrants are good for UK.
Does PM May think that the Hindu and Sikh immigrants consider Muslim immigrants good for the country I beg to differ strongly.
But UK has reached a level of Muslim immigration that does no one any good.
But the big elephant in the room is no one asked the British people how they feel about mass Muslim immigration or mass immigration in general. If Brexit is any indication the majority of British people are against further immigration-even from mainland Europe. So it’s not a racist reaction.
If the truth be known, many Hindu and Sikh immigrants and their descendants voted for Brexit, they came to UK to enjoy British culture, not suffer the same Muslim nonsense they suffered in India.
Scotland is the ancestral home of President Donald Trump’s mother , who was born in a Scot’s Gaelic speaking family in the Lewis, so in some respects President Trump is British.
rw says
It is nice to read this reply. In my comment above about Jamaicans, I knew what I was talking about, but didn’t want to touch on the issue of Sikhs and Hindus because I don’t know.
It’s all very difficult when you have grown up as a good English boy who only ever saw non Anglo-Saxons on the TV and when England means Shakespeare, Magna Carta, the rule of law, Rumpole, cricket and ‘we defeated Hitler’ (with some help from the Americans, who are really English anyway) – it’s very difficult when people who manifestly don’t have that background speak with accents that are very obviously English but some of whom – muslims – are actually opposed to everything you think it means to be English. What can you conclude? Well that we live in a changed world! And then when we watch what they are doing with Islam, we observe with dismay that there is a huge current of thought which simply refuses to take ideas seriously, in particular religious ideas – we conclude that the world has gone mad.
Anne Smith says
The politicians all thought stuffing Britain with immigrants would result in their particular party staying in power as the immigrants would vote for them. There was no thought for the plight of the indigenous people, all politicians care about is power, no thought for the welfare of ;their people. It is sad that so many Brits were stupid enough to vote Lib or Lab or Con, mainly because they always have done and like a football team, support them through thick and thin.
The pigeons are at last coming home to roost amongst the ruling classes. Former British Ambassador to the US, Sir Christopher Meyer was very badly beaten up and mugged in London in the afternoon at Victoria Station. The wife of Sir Christopher Evans, a million pound contributor to the Labour party was robbed of her jewellry in a raid by a masked gang.
Lady Meyer has been complaining bitterly that her husband could be attacked at 3.30 pm in Victoria, supposedly a good area. The crime in London under Muslim Mayor Sadiq Khan is unchecked and spreading now amongst the better off who did not seem too bothered about importing all this rubbish when they were living in smarter areas and the poor were the only ones suffering under the influx of so many criminals and gangsters. (Not just Muslim ones but many criminals from Eastern Europe who are in highly organised gangs). Our feeble Government cannot keep them out because of the EU policy of open borders.
Sir Christopher was appointed by Tony Blair – the main architect of mass uncontrolled immigration. It seems what goes around comes around.

Legal immigration of all sorts, except Islamic, generally adds value, provided the immigration is not so rapid is to create excessive social disorder.
Hindus, Sikhs, and other non-Muslims from around the world are generally a valuable addition as immigrants, because they don’t seek to dominate, take over, end free speech, or establish totalitarianism. For the most part they simply want to participate; they want to contribute what is good in their culture and learn from what is good in the culture of the host country. It’s a true interaction with sincere reciprocity, especially if one looks over a span of more than one generation. The first generation of an immigrant wave might sometimes be rooted in some old ways not all of which are beneficial, but their children tend to be fully assimilated, keeping only the best of the old ways while adopting the best of the new ways in the new nation. Thus immigrants today, except for Muslims unfortunately, are like the immigrants who came to the US in the past and have helped make the US a great nation.
For example, the first major Irish waves of immigration to the US were in some ways very problematic socially, but in time the Irish have become one of the central strands of what makes the US a great nation. I think this is true in general for most immigrant groups, but unfortunately not for Muslims, since Muslim leadership inevitably tends toward the totalitarian Islamic ethos and the accompanying erosion or suppression of free speech and freedom of religion.
The only reason in the US I see for cutting off immigration in general is this: our First Amendment, which I totally support, unfortunately makes it extremely difficult and tricky to focus restrictions on Islamic immigration alone. To try to do that is often deemed, mistakenly I think, as a violation of the First Amendment’s approach to religion. Nothing in the First Amendment requires us to take in massive numbers of people whose religion has as part of its core a totalitarian political ambition.
Still, realistically speaking, large numbers of people don’t yet realize that Islam has as central to its core texts a global totalitarian political ambition. Therefore, excluding Islamic immigration may only be possible in the near term if one does not “discriminate against Muslim immigration” and if one instead slows all immigration in general.

The inconsistence and hypocrisy of those jihadist recruiters who attempt to entice non-violent Muslim into becoming members of violent, dangerous and deadly jihad organizations. For example, as one author who was born and live in a Middle Eastern nation had revealed that “When Islamic fundamentalists campaign to recruit new members for their fold, they invoke the alleged immorality in Western countries to attract listeners. However, what is not discussed is the horrific treatment of women into sexual slavery by their own families. Women are not viewed and equals in Islamic countries, they are thought of as property” and the “selling women and girls for prostitution is just the dehumanizing complement to forcing women and girls to cover their bodies and hair with veil.” [1] Likewise, a former Muslim who is now a Christian also revealed information about Islam and females sex slaves. For is exposed that “Slavery is cherished in the Qu ‘ran and non -Muslim girls and women are used a sex slaves. Also there is no protection for women in Islam; they are exposed to every kind of abuse on one hand, but on the other hand they are responsible for the temptation which afflicts men.” [2] Wow, all this cruel Islamic misogyny and not regard for human rights has its origin in the founder prophet of Islam, Muhammad. As shown by two Christian writers who in their book inform the reader that “Muhammad endorsed enslavement of all types…he endorsed sex –slavery as a gift from Allah, and enjoyed offering sex slaves as gifts…” So since Muhammad is view by Muslim as the perfect man and a great example it’s not surprise that, in time, Islam is enslaved more people than any other culture.” [3]

No it doesn’t and never has h ad since we joined the EU. The EU is totally constructed around open borders and no controls, anyone in the EU can move to anywhere else in the EU and cannot be stopped. They are entitled to all the welfare benefits available to citizens of that country.
The whole underlying project of the EU is to make 28 nations into one single country, the United States of Europe. If you think about it then there will be no borders between the states and an important part of the project is to eradicate any nationalism.
Mrs May is completely sold on the European project and her latest “deal” is couched in terms to deceive people into believing that we will leave the EU, whereas in fact no such thing has been agreed.

How many people on this site are supportive of Thatcher and her reign over many years? I suspect many. Well that needs to be discussed because Thatcher did a number of things that were lethal for Britain.
Number one she did not back Powell and his warnings on just this issue of dissolution of a culture.
Thatcher not only did not back Powell but in the key 1979 election she specifically distanced herself from Powell. I think by that stage Powell was “exiled” to Northern Ireland, centred in Newtownards I think.
Thatcher then engaged in a vicious fight, maybe war, on the centre of British working class culture, and ensued the pivotal miners strike.
I am referring here to a culture and a way of surviving for workers in a capitalist country.
The Hunger Strike in the Maze…again eye off the ball.
The other thing that Thatcher did was engage in a pointless exercise in the Falklands which the Argentinians call the Malvinas. Even Reagan disagreed with her on that. The Labour Party which has always been a capitalist party, even an Imperialist and Antisemitic party, backed her on the issue
The other thing that needs looking at was the role of the British royalty, especially the present Queen Elizabeth, who always pushed the “Commonwealth”, and if I am not mistaken that was the centre of the problem initially
Wellington says
Reagan did not disagree with Thatcher about the Falklands. That is flat out wrong. Indeed, he provided Thatcher with assistance, such as American military intelligence info. Where Reagan and Thatcher had their one major disagreement was over the American invasion of Grenada. This Caribbean island in October of 1983 was in a virtual state of anarchy and there were Americans there, including American medical students. Reagan, without informing Thatcher, had the American military invade the island which resulted in the saving of many lives and the restoration of at least a modicum of stable rule. Since Grenada was a Commonwealth member, Thatcher (understandably) thought she should have been informed by Reagan before the invasion but Reagan’s defense (which is defensible I believe) was that he had to act promptly and secretly and there was no time to inform Thatcher. Minus this one disagreement, Reagan and Thatcher got along extremely well.
As for Thatcher in general, yes she made some mistakes (what leader doesn’t?) but she had more balls than many male Prime Ministers, she more than any other person ended the ever increasing control of Britain by the unions, and she was united with Reagan in opposing the USSR. After all, the Russians didn’t call her the Iron Lady for nothing. Prosperity also returned under her guidance and this helps explain why she overwhelmingly won the 1983 elections.
Finally, Enoch Powell’s warnings were prescient but don’t forget that during the Thatcher years far fewer Muslims existed in the UK than now and it is really only Muslims that make trouble, not other immigrants like Hindus, Sikhs, etc. Moreover, Thatcher did not harm freedom in her country as the last four Prime Ministers have. This alone distinguishes her from her lesser successors. In fact, I would rank Thatcher as the second greatest Prime Minister of the UK in the 20th century with only Winston Churchill above her.

——————————————————————————————–
What on earth makes you think that coal-miners represented “the centre of British working-class culture…” ? They represented the acme of unionised yobbery – led by men who were utterly determined to use the trade union movement to bring down any government that didn’t dance to their tune.
It would be far truer to say that Margaret Thatcher saved manufacturing industry and the British working-classes from the power of the communist union barons, by introducing a proper democratic secret ballot and outlawing “Flying pickets” / “Sympathy strikes” etc, thus preventing the unions from calling strikes every five minutes and intimidating the workers into stopping work.
And if you think that tamely handing over the population of the Falkland Islands to the Argentine military junta – (who had already murdered some 30,000 of their own population…) – would be a good idea, then you must be even more mad than you sound.
The Falkland Islands have been (A) settled by the British for some 250 years, (B) are recognised as being British under international law, and (C) are nowhere near Argentina – being some 300 miles away. The Argentinians claim that they were “given” them by Spain, but since they weren’t Spain’s to give, this is a rather dodgy argument.
Still – maybe you know best ? After all, Britain has had it’s forces in most of Europe at one time or another, so if you reckon that anything within a 300 mile radius is fair game, then by your logic, we could claim a fair chunk of Europe ?

However should you be interested in this issue and look at it in depth you will realise that most of the mines which were closed were not economically viable and were actually costing money to keep open. They were run more as a sort of working men’s historical sop, and i cannot imagine why anyone would wish to send men down those horrible old fashioned mines, miles underground, for an unhealthy occupation which gave man many men silicosis and cancer and early deaths.

A few years ago, when a certain area of the midlands was swamped with Romanians, the local English just gave up the ghost and tried either to tolerate yet another invasion or just get out of the place. A group of local Pakistanis, however, took umbrage at such an imposition on ‘their’ patch and decided to teach these newcomers how to behave in England. Rather strange really, since these Pakistanis had hardly bothered themselves to learn how do do things the ‘English’ way and therefore hardly knew little if anything about it, since they’d always presumed the right to carry on as per ‘back home’ in the knowledge that they would have to be tolerated, and usually simply ignored anyone who had the nerve to object – or just became aggressive.
Now, I wonder what these Romanians learned about ‘English culture’?

Historically Britain accepted immigrants from Commonwealth countries but not to a degree that would throw their “culture” off kilter. France too accepted immigrants but from Algeria when it was a French colony. Other than those two examples I have trouble recalling any European country that accepted immigrants since the concept of “nationalism” was developed under Napoleon in the early 19th Century.. Ethnic divisions have been very jealously guarded and the basis of all the European Wars since Napoleon and most particularly the two World Wars.
When we speak of culture regarding any European country we imagine the cute little things that make that country “quaint” and a valuable tourist destination. With very few exceptions Europe has no experience whatsoever in immigration even immigration from its neighbours. The EU opened those borders with disastrous results as they did not foresee the influx of muslims from the Middle East and North Africa and have NO IDEA how to deal with it.
No such excuse is available to Canada and the U.S. since we are basically countries of immigrants. We have been fortunate to have received (in many cases) the cream of the crop from many countries. Diversity HAS BEEN our strength.
My point is that the parallels are few and it is disingenuous for Trump to lecture UK leaders on immigration the way he apparently did. Any problem the UK (and Europe in general) has with immigrants is not the number but who these immigrants are and where they are coming from. It’ll be a better Europe if the old cultural barriers are broken down and the countries become more diverse BUT NOT at the price of becoming muslim.

Islam is a backward ideology, extremely so, filled with reactionary views, and this is well documented for those who want to read. But what is often overlooked is that it is parasitic. It enters into situations where there is a vacumn.
This is what rroubles me about discussions such as this on Jihadwatch. It is this parasitic nature of Islam that is overlooked.
British capitalism was already a lost case as it emerged out of the two world wars in 1918 and 1945. Any British worker or British industrialist will state that Britain has lost its industrial base. This is the one thing British people I meet say…”We are no longer making things”.
Into that situation has grown up the City of London, but the financial empires of the City of London, has not prevented millions of Britishers being moved out of London working class centers and taken over by non British cultures. That is what Powell was noting and predicting. Powell represented the area around Wolverhampton and the Midlands of England was the centre of British capitalism. It was into that decline that immigration came in waves and especially Islam with its warlike mosque system laid its roots.
Thatcher has been defended strongly on this site. I expected that. But it was the failure of Thatcher to back up Powell as he warned about these dangers that was so fatal for Britain.
Thatcher intended to smash the miners and their traditional union, the heart of whole working class areas, and a big problem is that she was successful, using extreme force and foresight to do so. But it was into those very areas that have been impoverished by capitalism, and defeated, that the Muslim grooming gangs have proliferated.
In some of the comments the hatred for workers and lack of respect for working class families, certainly no empathy, tells its own story about the majority of commenters on Jihadwatch.
The British nation IS the British working class. Ignore that at your peril. Defeat and destroy the British working class movement you will also destroy the British nation.
None of what I am saying takes away from the need to teach the youth especially about Islam. In fact the opposite. but the fact is that Britain lost control of borders and into that Islam rode the wave. Islam rode the wave on the basis of general mass immigration. The least you can say about Thatcher is that she was a distraction. Thatcher needed to have got behind Powell. But did not! Thatcher was not the start but that was a qualitative “moment” in the decline of Britain.

Felix — How do you explain the rapid Islamization of Germany? They still make things there. Nice things! And what about Sweden?
It makes sense that Muslim invaders would seek out weak societies, and take advantage of their weakness. But much of Western Europe is being Islamized — including those nations with strong economies & industrial bases.
I don’t believe capitalism has failed, Comrade Quigley. It can certainly be tweaked & improved. But it is still a more robust system than any others. And the socialist paradises of Scandinavian countries have probably just about run their course. That was a temporary bubble of health & happiness & prosperity that was only possible because of the stable, homogeneous nature of those societies. Declining birth rates among native Scandinavians, and the influx of fast-breeding Muslim parasites, will bring that system crashing down.

I see that Felix Quigley is once again flogging his idea of a Communist paradise.
His claim that Capitalism–which is responsible for creating the most prosperous societies in the history of the world–is a failure and should be jettisoned in favor of Communist totalitarianism is insanity.
Just compare North and South Korea–is the standard of living better in the Communist tyranny or the free democracy? It is quite obvious that Quigley’s assertions are ridiculous.
And we have Venezuela, until recently one of the wealthiest countries in South America–now, under two Communist heads, people are actually starting to go hungry.
It is the same everywhere with Communism.

I have asked in two previous posts onthis thread how did it come about that Britain is int he serious position it is in today, in a situation fast approaching that of France. We do know of the position of Heath in this, we know also of the Labour Governments of Callaghan, and later on of Blair and the whole of New Labour. And this immigration issue has morphed into the antisemitism of Momentum and Corbyn.
But in all such reckonings with the past it is very common to have Thatcher put forward as the exception. I have looked at some of the evidence and I find that Thatcher no less than Thatcher bears a huge responsibility.
Yet with her massive win in the 1979 election Thatcher could have put in position measures that would have had a huge effect on the present.
Thatcher refused to do this.
If the strongest “patriot” could not do this and did not do this (explicitely decided in public not to do this) then this is the most serious warning for the present I could think of.
In fact at the most critical time, probably around the 1978 and 1979 run up to the general election against Callaghan Thatcher turned away from making the issue of immigration the main issue in the election.
She was going down a different road. A road towards waging the class struggle, the horror of the hunger strike and a meaningless war in the Falklands (people above deliberately confuse what my point it…it is the waging of war while at the same time steering clear of the immigration issue that is the central thing here.

The idea that Thatcher was handed a mandate and could simply have instituted any policies she wished without opposition is absurd.
As it was, she was PM who was most solidly against unfettered immigration into Britain.
So why does Felix Quigley want to blame her for a problem instituted and continued by others? This has nothing to do with her views on immigration, and everything to do with her being Anti-Communist. Clearly, Quigley saw her as an impediment to his imposing Communism on Britain. He’s not wrong there.

To complain that Thatcher was not concerned enough about Jihad in 1979 would be like slamming someone for not being concerned enough about the threat of Fascism in 1920.
How many of us understood the threat of Islam in 1979? I didn’t. I don’t think there was any other candidate on the Republican or Democratic side who would have stated the truth — that the EU and Britain are losing their culture because of immigration policies. Trump did not refer explicitly to Muslim immigration, unfortunately, but that is clearly what he meant. So far as I know, most people in Europe will know that is what he meant. And so far as I know, most of the new right wing parties in Europe are primarily against Muslim immigration, and have been clear about that. When Europeans refer to immigration, they don’t always specify Muslims, because the overwhelming majority of immigration to Europe has been Muslim, so there is in a way less need to specify.
But Trump is truly unique among American political candidates in being willing to dramatically push the envelope of pc speech with respect to immigration and Islam. He really deserves kudos for that, and it makes him, at least in that respect, a true leader, unlike so many in our highly processed political class. Our politicians are so pc and so highly processed they should be considered like “cheese food” or “reconstituted” meat. Their thoughts and words were made in committee according to standardized formulas where the “heartfelt” statement is in fact the result of a prior polls and crowd analysis and then after analysis a sort of dirty factory reconstitution, like the nastiest kind of sausage. Our politicians are barely individuals any more, they have become mostly sausages whose true ingredients you don’t want to look too closely at.
