Muslims told the Christian pastor to stop construction of his church, because they had discovered he was a convert from Islam. Worse could be coming. Islamic apologists in the West routinely insist that Islam has no death penalty for apostasy, but as always, reality is otherwise. The death penalty for apostasy is part of Islamic law. It’s based on the Qur’an: “They wish you would disbelieve as they disbelieved so you would be alike. So do not take from among them allies until they emigrate for the cause of Allah. But if they turn away, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them and take not from among them any ally or helper.” (Qur’an 4:89)
A hadith depicts Muhammad saying: “Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him” (Bukhari 9.84.57). The death penalty for apostasy is part of Islamic law according to all the schools of Islamic jurisprudence.
This is still the position of all the schools of Islamic jurisprudence, both Sunni and Shi’ite. Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the most renowned and prominent Muslim cleric in the world, has stated: “The Muslim jurists are unanimous that apostates must be punished, yet they differ as to determining the kind of punishment to be inflicted upon them. The majority of them, including the four main schools of jurisprudence (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi’i, and Hanbali) as well as the other four schools of jurisprudence (the four Shiite schools of Az-Zaidiyyah, Al-Ithna-‘ashriyyah, Al-Ja’fariyyah, and Az-Zaheriyyah) agree that apostates must be executed.”
Qaradawi also once famously said: “If they had gotten rid of the apostasy punishment, Islam wouldn’t exist today.”
“Islamist Violence against Christians in Uganda Injures Pastors, Stops Church Services,” Morning Star News, July 13, 2018:
NAIROBI, Kenya (Morning Star News) …Threats by Muslims in Mazuba village, Namutumba District, stopped worship services in a half-constructed church building and led the pastor to send his children to another town, he said.
“The church members are now living in great fear for their lives and have stopped attending church services,” pastor Maseruwa Budallah told Morning Star News.
The 55-year-old pastor had resettled his family in Mazuba five years ago after fleeing persecution by Muslims in Sironko village, 70 kilometers (43 miles) away. In April, Muslims in Mazuba noticed that some Muslims had become Christians and were attending his church, and Muslim schoolchildren learned from Christian children that the pastor had left Islam to become a Christian.
Word that he was a convert from Islam spread quickly, and Muslim schoolchildren began bullying the pastor’s eight children, Pastor Budallah said. As area Muslims threatened to kill his children, the pastor and his wife felt compelled to send them to a boarding school in another town.
At beginning of the year Pastor Budallah donated a part of his land for construction of a church building. After walls had been built, however, area Muslims learned that he was a convert from Islam and put a stop to construction, he said. Besides confronting the pastor – telling him to stop construction as well as discontinue worship services – they have sent him threatening messages, he said.
“We know your tricks, that your intention of building the church is for you to convert our members to Christianity,” they wrote in a letter on May 8. “If you continue building the church, then you are risking your life as well as the life of your church members.”
Pastor Budallah also received threatening messages from his relatives back in Sironko, he said.
“You have refused to come back home, and we hear that you have started building a church for infidels,” read one text message. “Know that Allah is going to deal with you soon, and you will not finish it nor pray in it.”…

People still do the same, reminds me of Joh 16:2-3:
”They shall put you out of the synagogues: Yes, the time comes that whosoever kills you will think that he does God service. And these things will they do to you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.”
Then some day they will notice how much wrong they have done. Hopefully not too late.

That depends. Truth or no truth?

I think one possible explanation why the left largely ignores the desperate pleas of these African Christians is they are racist and don’t consider them worth defending or caring about. Spencer has never made race the tiniest consideration in his defense of human rights against islam. He has defended the safety and dignity of all victims of islamic jihad, he doesn’t ignore anyone for their social status or racial characteristics. The left, however, has nothing to say about all this–literally nothing. Not even the pope seems to give a damn, and they’re his people! I’m proud of people like Geller and Wilders and Spencer who care enough to defend our humanity against the evils of islam. Without them we’d all be a big boat of concern with no motor or captain. Instead of the left condemning these grave attacks on human rights they attack us for speaking against it! We’re racist bigots because we dare to care about the crimes this sick religion is causing, at least that’s what they tell us. In reality we are no such thing. We are good, moral people with enough compassion for our worldly neighbors to speak against these atrocities and do something about it. So the obvious question for me is, when will the appeasers stop ignoring the genocidal persecution of Christians and start treating them like human beings? They call us racist, but in reality their own actions resemble a slave master who sees his own greedy agenda as more important than the rights and humanity of others. And of course their agenda is multiculturalism with islam which can never happen, and if it destroys our freedoms and morals then they don’t care. That’s it in a nutshell, and that’s why I consider these appeasers worse than Nazis who must be defeated like our worst enemy.

From a lifetime leftist…..you are right, and you’ve told it eloquently. And for saying the same I get called racist and worse. Well, I guess I’d rather be right than popular, where the lives of innocent people are at stake. I’m not about to shut up about the Muslim threat. I’m also not about to quit leftist positions that reflect the same values of compassion and love of the liberties and institutions of our most fortunate culture. And I never bought into the whole libber movement, complete with its over-the-top anger at the tiniest domestic verbal microaggression and simultaneous endorsement of FGM, child marriage, polygamy and Koran-inspired rape taharrush and pederasty. Well, I still intend to support the Sanders wing of the demo party. I don’t think I’m alone in this, and I wish that “rightist” Islamophobes would make common cause with leftists who find Islam abhorrent and threatening to things I cherish, incuding basic human compassion. Oh and, just because Islam appalls me, don’t expect me to climb aboard any bandwagons for trade wars or revoking Obamacare.

Yes, that is left. The self righteous crooks with inverted vision about everything normally human.

No further evidence of the unsuitability of Islamism in the West is needed. THIS disaster in the making for Christians – and others of non Muslim ideology, is what we can expect should we permit this retrograde cultural/social ideology to take root in our democracies. The Christian citizens in Uganda join Christians in Muslim majority countries in their fight to survive Islamic catastrophic, brutal, genocidal assaults against them. Wake up folks. If those of you out there continue to listen to, and accept the bleating defence of the “religion of peace” and its adherants, by unworthy public servants, then, your culpability in the wreckage of your countries will be assured. Time to stop this nonsense is NOW.

Hey folks I just read about a(nother!) courageous Arab woman publicly challenging all this vileness. Her name is Ghada Ibrahi, google her and read up. I thank her and hope she’s safe. Her most recent (far too short!) interview appears at Conatus News’s website.

elee, Ghada Ibrani is a brave woman. I cannot imagine how much courage it takes to be an open apostate from Islam in Saudi Arabia.

God bless the Christian people of Uganda.
God protect them from the followers of the muslim god of hate “allah”.
These people are the True Christians:not the insufferably smug dhimmiwit “christians” and clergymen who live in the pampered west.

Muslims are humans. We share Noah and his wife , their three sons and their three wives as ancestors as well as Father Abraham. We need to heal this Earth and seek Peace. Humans have free will choices. G-d sees males and females as equals and murder is forbidden. Read Leviticus. And exodus then Revelation. For a blessing.
Joe says
Muslims are human, but Islam is not. For example, females are inferior to males in Islam. There are times when holiness must be defended, lest evil reign supreme.

So much for the rule of law in Uganda. It reminds me of when Nehemiah and the returned exiles started to rebuild the Temple. I hope my brothers and sisters find the courage and stregnth to finish the building. Will be praying.
