No one at the University of New South Wales would have dared to question Mohamed Nizamdeen about his views on jihad and related matters. It was taken for granted that he was a “moderate.” To have taken any other course would have been “islamophobic.”
“Malcolm Turnbull, Julie Bishop among alleged targets for alleged Islamic State affiliate charged over terrorism offences,” by Riley Stuart and Mark Reddie, ABC.net.au, August 31, 2018:
A police source has confirmed Malcolm Turnbull and Julie Bishop were among a list of potential targets allegedly documented in the notebook of a Sri Lankan man charged with a terrorism-related offence.
Mohamed Nizamdeen, 25, was charged on Friday with possessing a blueprint to target several “symbolic” Sydney locations, after officers from NSW’s Joint Counter Terrorism Team (JCTT) arrested him at Kensington, in Sydney’s south-east.
The University of New South Wales contractor appeared in Waverley Local Court where he was refused bail, with the matter adjourned to October 24.
A police source confirmed to the ABC on Friday night that the former prime minister and former foreign affairs minister were allegedly targets for the man.
Mr Nizamdeen is in Australia on a student visa, and police will allege they found documents containing plans to facilitate terrorism attacks on the university campus….
Police allege Mr Nizamdeen was acting on his own, and despite telling a media conference he appeared to be an Islamic State affiliate, they have not charged him with being a member of a terrorist organisation.
The ABC understands Mr Nizamdeen was working is a business systems analyst in UNSW’s IT department, including working on a project to help students better understand cyber security….
Police said Mr Nizamdeen’s visa was to expire in September, and that he was in the process of applying for another one.

Even those who appear to have “integrated” can be suspect. Islam is the problem. Kudos to that individual who found the journal for turning it in and not bowing to political correctness.

Yes, that’s what I thought when I read it. This is a *classic* case. A very, very revealing case, that demonstrates that a seemingly-westernised, ‘nice’ ‘normal’ Mohammedan – in western dress, with good english, from a majority-non-Islamic country (Sri Lanka has a largeish Musiim colony, but it is NOT an Islamic country, most of its population are Sinhalese Buddhists and there are large Hindu and Christian minorities also) can Go Jihad just as thoroughly – and indeed, more dangerously, *because* not obviously dangerous, *because* educated and therefore having access to all manner of locations and installations – as any low-IQ illiterate thug from Somalia, Yemen, or Afghanistan.
His name is Mohammed. That alone tells us, right away, he is a Muslim. And a student visa – or a refugee visa – or an immigration visa! – should NEVER be given, by any historically non-islamic country, to someone called Mohammed.. or Ali.. or Ahmed..or Fatima or Aisha or any of the other telltale monikers that denote Islamic affiliation. It wouldn’t prevent *all* entry by Muslims… but it would prevent a whole hell of a lot.
The other method (that wouldn’t have worked for this creature, but would work in many cases) is to DENY entry to anyone carrying a passport from *any* of the 57 OIC majority-Muslim Muslim-dominated member countries, UNLESS that person can be demonstrated, upon thorough investigation (by non-Islamic investigators) to be a bona fide member of the horribly-persecuted discriminated-against and abused non-Islamic minority groups within such countries…e.g. to get into Australia, from Egypt, a person MUST be demonstrably a member of the Coptic Christian community… to get into Australia from Malaysia, a person MUST be demonstrated to be a member of one of the non-Muslim minority groups, such as Christian or Buddhist ethnic Chinese, or Hindu or Christian ethnic Indian.
The stakes are just too high to muck around.
Had that notebook NOT been spotted, and/ or had the spotter been too intimidated by fears of being called ‘Islamophobic’ or ‘racist’, in a few months we might have been hearing reports of mass casualties at some public venue in Sydney, as a result of a jihadi mass murder terror raid.
If someone, observing that this bloke was named ‘Mohamed’, way back when he was applying for his student visa, had had the authority to quietly and firmly DENY issuance of such a visa, then we would have been saved worlds of trouble and expense.
At least he hasn’t used his visa as a stepping-stone to citizenship. He hasn’t been able to marry some naive Aussie kuffar female.. or some Aussie-citizenship-possessing Muslimah, in order to gain a more permanent foothold.
So once he’s tried, and convicted, and has done time, he can be kicked out.. but I pity poor Sri Lanka, a fellow non-Muslim country burdened with a dangerous and expanding Allah Gang colony, having to take him back… One hopes they might be able to see their way, once they have him back, to annulling his Sri Lankan citizenship status, and kicking him out.. on a one-way hajj ticket to Saudi Arabia, for example. Let the damn Ummah, in the lands already wholly blighted, take care of its own.

dumbledoresarmy,
A very well written post, my compliments.
Unfortunately it appears that it’s risky to trust any Muslim. You never know when they may decide to become a “better” Muslim.

James why would anyone ever trust a muslim? Why take a chance? They are indoctrinated to lie.

Excellent post, dumbledoresarmy. I agree with everything you say in the post, which contains good ideas for solving the neverending problems caused by Islam. I didn’t know there were any Muslims in Sri Lanka, but I knew there had been terrorist problems with Tamil Tigers there attacking the Sinhalese, so, when I heard the news about this guy, I thought, well, this will actually be a rare case of a non-Muslim terrorist ( ie a Tamil Tiger supporter). I’m pretty sure there have been a couple of would be Tamil Tiger terrorists found in Australia previously. Then I heard the name, Mohamed, and thought, well, there it is again, as usual, a Mohamedan. They seem to be in every country around the world.. The other amazing part of this story, to me at any rate, was hearing that the would-be terrorist had left a journal lying around and someone had picked it up and looked in it. That was so lucky. I thought, well, if I knew that a journal I found belonged to someone I wouldn’t read it anyway, but just give it back to the owner. I would think it was invading their privacy. That is, unless I did have suspicions about the owner of the journal. I suspect the person must have come across the journal, not known who owned it, and therefore looked inside it to find out who it belonged to, probably so they could hand it back to the owner, and found the incriminating information. It was so lucky that this would be terrorist was so careless in leaving the journal lying around. At least, it seems that that’s how the guy’s evil intentions came to light. Extraordinary luck that he was extremely careless. Will our political leaders ever wake up and enact dumbledoresarmy’s suggested policies?

Australia: Muslim on student visa arrested for jihad plots against former PM, “symbolic” locations
………………….
How many times have we heard Muslims in the West plotting Jihad against our leaders and most iconic sites?
I’m just glad he was stopped–this time.
As long as we have Muslims continuing to flood into the free West, we will find these kinds of Jihad plots.

Sri Lankan Muslim terrorists have now expanded their reach to Australia. In Sri Lanka they have attacked Buddhist monks, mob attacked a non-Muslim man for being involved in a car accident, destroyed ancient Buddhist sites and yet play victim.

Here is an article that supports what Robert Spencer says.
From the Main Stream Media in Colombo.
To show his innocence see highlights of the article below
https://www.colombotelegraph.com/index.php/kamer-nizamdeen-affair-islamic-terrorist-islamophobia-or-cover-up/
Kamer hails from a very moderate and highly respected Muslim family in Sri Lanka
A quiet but entertaining “Thambi” who would liven up any occasion. His intellectual capacity is well above average, but an unassuming and down to earth individual
The West has had a phobia for anyone with a Muslim name. Australia is no exception. Islamophobia and violence against Muslims have been the hallmark of racism against the Muslim community in Australia with the influx of a large number of migrants of Arab or Muslim descent.
Talking to a Muslim colleague from Sri Lanka, I gathered some interesting facts. He insists that IS is the creation of the West and was used to destroy Muslim nations.
Most of the members of Sharfaz Nilam Muhain’s family too returned. They had claimed that they went to Syria to provide humanitarian support to the war affected refugees.
So, it is unlikely that a rational person like Kamer would subscribe to this violent ideology. He loved Australia as much as he loved Sri Lanka. I can confidently say, he is innocent and the courts of law in Australia will discharge him without any blemish.
