This just really shows that while Justin Trudeau wants us all to believe that he’s a champion of human rights, and such a feminist, and so progressive, when the rubber meets the road, all this high-minded talk means nothing when people question Trudeau’s party line.
Another gem of a story is the groping incident that happened quite a few years ago, in which, the “feminist” Justin Trudeau groped a female reporter. He had said that women from the #METOO movement must be believed, when he was accused and the evidence was there for everyone to see, he said that he didn’t remember any negative interactions from that day. Then he wanted us all to move on because there was “nothing to see here”. No investigation. No inquiry. No resignation.
Women in Canada aren’t treated all that well, regardless of what Trudeau would have us all believe, so he shouldn’t call out Saudi Arabia over its domestic affairs.
Terry Gainsays
Renate
Your last paragraph is bloody nonsense. Women in Canada have equal rights. Most of my colleagues believe the Courts are in fact biased in favour of women.
What is the matter with you?
Renatesays
That’s your opinion and you’re welcome to it.
gravenimagesays
Renate agreed with Saudi Arabia that Canada has one of the worst records on women in the world, and so Canadians had no right to say anything negative about Islam.
Never mind that US News ranks Canada as one of the best countries for women’s rights in the world:
And they are, of course, not alone–Canada is regularly ranked as one of the best nations for women’s rights.
Renatesays
If you watched that video with Trudeau embarrassing the woman in front of the crowd and then getting in her face telling her she was a racist and had no place in Quebec and then saw the RCMP grabbing her arm, asking for her ID and trying to arrest her, you’d be hard pressed to agree that women have such wonderful human rights in Canada. Maybe Canada is ranked high for human rights on some list on paper somewhere, but in that video, it sure doesn’t look like Canadians give a hoot about human rights for women.
Besides that, you twist what I say. I didn’t say that Canadians had no right to say anything negative about Islam. I think Canada can clean up its own domestic affairs first before yapping about Saudi Arabia’s domestic affairs, though. Furthermore, Saudi Arabia has a right to run itself under whatever law they choose. If that’s Sharia, so be it. We don’t like it when they come to the West and tell us we should have Sharia law, but we expect them to like it when we criticize their internal affairs and expect them to not have Sharia law. How hypocritical is that?
gravenimagesays
No, it is not hypocritical” to support civilization over savagery. The idea that equal rights are no different from oppression is, of course, moral insanity.
And, again, Renate is pretending that anyone who condemns the horrors of Shari’ah law are–somehow–in favor of Trudeau abusing this patriotic Canadian woman is just absurd.
Wellingtonsays
You’re a fool at best, Renate, a rank liar at worst. Whichever, one should, a la West Virginian, “pay you never no mind.”
Renatesays
Yes, of course. How dare I hold an opinion you don’t agree with, right?
Terry Gainsays
Renate
We disagree with your opinions because they are irrational. Women comprise more than 50% of the doctors and lawyers and veterinarians and University Students in Canada. Women can do whatever they want.
gravenimagesays
No one is trying to prevent Renate’s freedom of speech–she can say that no one can criticize Islamic nations if she likes, as well as claim that Canada has a worse record on women’s rights than does Saudi Arabia.
And we have the right to point out that these views are mistaken.
As I have noted here before, part of freedom of speech is being able to reply to the speech of others.
Renatesays
So, according to Terry Gain, my opinions are irrational. This is a man who is too willfully blind to see the blatant violation of a female Canadian citizen’s human rights in a video put before him.
Another who must always be right, gravenimage, reads what I write and then reads more into it than was ever intended by me, and goes about explain how wrong I am on the basis of what she has read into my comments, and of course, how right she is.
gravenimagesays
The implication that Terry Gain was agreeing with the maltreatment of this woman by Truedeau is, of course, utter calumny.
One can oppose that while realizing that it is ludicrous to claim that women have fewer rights in Canada than they do in Saudi Arabia.
And she was not singled out by Trudeau because she is a woman, but because she questioned his suicidal immigration policies. Trudeau likely would have treated this person just as badly if he had been a man.
One can criticize our governments when it is warranted–as here–without pretending that the West is worse than Dar-al-Islam, and claiming that one has no right to say anything negative about Shari’ah hell holes.
Renatesays
You haven’t changed my mind about a single thing, but I won’t post here anymore under any circumstance because it’s just not worth getting into this nonsense with people like you or Terry Gain.
StellaSaidSosays
I very much doubt that this lady would have been treated quite so badly by Trudeau and his goons had she been a well-dressed man, or an attractive young woman.
gravenimagesays
Renate’s implication that she is being driven away from Jihad Watch for supporting Shari’ah law is ridiculous. She can do so if she likes–but has to expect that some here might disagree with her.
Renatesays
Furthermore, President Donald J. Trump likes the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, so, for me, that is the stamp of approval. If President Trump likes him, I like him. So, put that in you pipes and smoke it!
gravenimagesays
Well, that’s just ridiculous. Firstly, no one has to agree with *anyone* on every point.
Then, I don’t think one can tell if President Trump likes any of the Saudi “royals”.
Then, while I am glad that Trump is saner on Islam than his predecessors–especially his immediate predecessor–he is hardly perfect. There appears to be a great deal he doesn’t understand about Islam.
But he *has* taken a stronger stance against Muslims flooding into the US, as well as beginning to take Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, and the “Palestinians” to task. I *hope* he takes the ugly Saudi Arabia on, as well.
He is pretty strongly anti-Jihad. The implication that this ergo means that he cannot be allowed to say anything negative about Saudi Arabia imprisoning women’s rights activists simply makes no sense.
Rarelysays
The treatment she received had NOTHING to do with her being a woman. It’s a non-issue.
The RCMP acted 100% appropriately although those who instructed them likely were not. But ANY perceived or even possible threat to the person of the Prime Minister is properly handled by an “act now and deal with the consequences later” philosophy. Those assigned to the job of protecting the PM rightly have no interest in what the “discussion” is about but only whether a possible threat exists. They are naturally pro-active.
It is a shame that PM Trudeau didn’t take the opportunity to address her concerns but rather chose to try to denigrate her. It makes him look pretty bad.
As one British reporter wrote of him: “He’s all style, no substance, with the depth of a puddle”.
I just wish he would take our concerns seriously and not simply brush them off as “bigotry”.
BTW. Renate couldn’t be more wrong about women’s rights in Canada. That doesn’t mean we don’t have our share of “male chauvinist pigs” but our laws, and the enforcement of them, entirely disproves her allegations.

The Islamic world will miss all this. The Western Left will miss this. Authoritarian regimes like Russia and China will miss this (but to Eastern Europe’s great credit, I don’t think she will miss this).
Nonetheless and sadly, most of all, the current leader of Canada, one Justin Trudeau, will miss this. I, as an American, know how this feels. After all, Americans had to endure eight years of Barack Obama. Rather like Canadians having to endure the “second installment” of the disaster which goes by the name of “Trudeau.”

And that the maple leaf is becoming the emblem of the immigrant, illegal or otherwise.
Sure enough, I see that in this video. The escutcheon on the flag proclaims the origins of the five founding “peoples,” using the Canadian parlance. The maple leaves in the fifth section (charge) are sometime red and sometimes green. I take them to represent the Amerindian tribes who were here long before any of us. The rest of the charges represent: England, the French in North America, Scotland and Ireland.
Did you notice that one of the RCMP constables turned to another and says, “Hey she is saying threats, she is threatening.” And a second man says, “yes get her out of here.” Obviously, this is the lying game that the RCMP crowd control use to remove people. But on the video you can clearly hear that she does no such thing; she only repeatedly asks the two valid questions.
How dishonest of the RCMP. I lost a lot of respect for them watching them engage in these dishonest goon tactics. Especially, constable #62945 manhandling a woman. Pathetic!

Dear JW readers, do you realize that you are some of the few consumers of news who got the full eyewitness story on this news item? Most other Canadian consumers of news go to MSM. And there they got a completely different story: They got the story from the MSM that Trudeau stood up to an intolerant heckler by courageously calling her a racist. The MSM didn’t post her two valid questions, which Trudeau did not answer. As rightly note by No Fear, above, she was asking about spending on ILLEGAL immigrants, and she was called a racist!
The Canadian MSM didn’t note that the crowd was full of Liberal shills and RCMP undercover agents that were used in an attempt to drown her out or silence her questions. But they did go the extra effort to identify her and attempt to vilify her by saying she was “known to be intolerant towards immigrants.”
Thank you Robert Spencer for providing such an excellent news service. A service that the Canadian MSM is morally incapable of providing.

Just like Hillary labelling Trump supporters “deplorables”.
And the left’s complicit, propagandist media backs them up.
Terry Gain says
Renate
Your last paragraph is bloody nonsense. Women in Canada have equal rights. Most of my colleagues believe the Courts are in fact biased in favour of women.
What is the matter with you?
Renate says
That’s your opinion and you’re welcome to it.
gravenimage says
Renate agreed with Saudi Arabia that Canada has one of the worst records on women in the world, and so Canadians had no right to say anything negative about Islam.
Never mind that US News ranks Canada as one of the best countries for women’s rights in the world:
https://www.usnews.com/news/best-countries/women-full-list
And they are, of course, not alone–Canada is regularly ranked as one of the best nations for women’s rights.
Renate says
How hypocritical is that?
gravenimage says
No, it is not hypocritical” to support civilization over savagery. The idea that equal rights are no different from oppression is, of course, moral insanity.
And, again, Renate is pretending that anyone who condemns the horrors of Shari’ah law are–somehow–in favor of Trudeau abusing this patriotic Canadian woman is just absurd.
Wellington says
You’re a fool at best, Renate, a rank liar at worst. Whichever, one should, a la West Virginian, “pay you never no mind.”
Renate says
Yes, of course. How dare I hold an opinion you don’t agree with, right?
Terry Gain says
Renate
We disagree with your opinions because they are irrational. Women comprise more than 50% of the doctors and lawyers and veterinarians and University Students in Canada. Women can do whatever they want.
gravenimage says
No one is trying to prevent Renate’s freedom of speech–she can say that no one can criticize Islamic nations if she likes, as well as claim that Canada has a worse record on women’s rights than does Saudi Arabia.
And we have the right to point out that these views are mistaken.
As I have noted here before, part of freedom of speech is being able to reply to the speech of others.
Renate says
So, according to Terry Gain, my opinions are irrational. This is a man who is too willfully blind to see the blatant violation of a female Canadian citizen’s human rights in a video put before him.
Another who must always be right, gravenimage, reads what I write and then reads more into it than was ever intended by me, and goes about explain how wrong I am on the basis of what she has read into my comments, and of course, how right she is.
gravenimage says
Renate says
You haven’t changed my mind about a single thing, but I won’t post here anymore under any circumstance because it’s just not worth getting into this nonsense with people like you or Terry Gain.
StellaSaidSo says
I very much doubt that this lady would have been treated quite so badly by Trudeau and his goons had she been a well-dressed man, or an attractive young woman.
gravenimage says
Renate’s implication that she is being driven away from Jihad Watch for supporting Shari’ah law is ridiculous. She can do so if she likes–but has to expect that some here might disagree with her.
Renate says
Furthermore, President Donald J. Trump likes the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, so, for me, that is the stamp of approval. If President Trump likes him, I like him. So, put that in you pipes and smoke it!
gravenimage says
Rarely says

Renate…reading several of you posts I often perceive them as being skewed and full of false equivalencies. The nuances are easily spotted by cultural natives and they’re resented as attempts to muddy this waterhole that is truly a “light unto the world”.
If you have some personal or particular affinity with Islam or Saudi Arabia have you considered describing to everyone what that is? Or do you deny it?
And BTW a poster like graven image contributes a great deal in keeping various threads on target. There are those who would love to see the threads come apart at the seams.

This reminds me of the time Liberal Prime Minister attacked and choked a protester and wasn’t charged or even severely criticized by the grossly incompetent Far Left CBC.
The undercover thug police officer, wearing a back pack, who manhandled the female protester should be charged with assault. But of course he won’t be.

Oops. Liberal Prime Minister Jean Chrétien.

I totally agree with your comment Wellington!
Wellington says
Thank you, Andy.
America, Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand, I strongly believe, and based on these nations’ capacity to seek a better world and with an unequaled capacity to apologize for their own wrongdoings compared to most all other polities and peoples( hey, when have the American Indians, the aborigines of Australia, the Maori of NZ, etc., apologized for anything, as though they have nothing to apologize for?) still remain the best hope for the entirety of mankind.
Terry Gain says
Trudeau is Canada’s Obama. Though not nearly as smart as Obama, Trudeau, like Obama, is also almost universally supported by the Media.
Both are socialists and both are Islamophiles. Obama may in fact be a Muslim.
And both Trudeau and Obama believe in using immigration, legal or otherwise, to fundamentally transform their countries and make their parties the permanent governing party.

I’ve noted before that I see more and more Canadians “de souche” going back to the Old Red Ensign (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/2e/Canadian_Red_Ensign_%281921%E2%80%931957%29.svg).

The RCMP officer in the the baseball cap should be charged with assault against that woman under the section 265 of the Criminal Code of Canada and should be fired.

Flavius Claudius Iulianus says
Did you notice that one of the RCMP constables turned to another and says, “Hey she is saying threats, she is threatening.” And a second man says, “yes get her out of here.” Obviously, this is the lying game that the RCMP crowd control use to remove people. But on the video you can clearly hear that she does no such thing; she only repeatedly asks the two valid questions.
How dishonest of the RCMP. I lost a lot of respect for them watching them engage in these dishonest goon tactics. Especially, constable #62945 manhandling a woman. Pathetic!
R. Spanier (Catholic Canadian) says
Yes, I also thought that was a dishonest tactic to justify their despicable actions (in my opinion) that followed.
Flavius Claudius Iulianus says
Flavius Claudius Iulianus says

Trudeau refuses to apologize for moronically using the racist card instead of debating/answering a legitimate question.
Just like Hillary labelling Trump supporters “deplorables”.
And the left’s complicit, propagandist media backs them up. That’s one thing Trump has certainly accomplished: unmasking the progressives and their media for what they are….power mongers who care not for fact/truth/common sense/reasoned debate. They’ve become unhinged and have no other recourse but to choose derogatory labels and censorship. Dangerous road we’re travelling in the West.
Anyway….this woman should sue Trudeau for defamation of character, slander, damages.
