“We haven’t heard that a mosque was closed down or the prayer was stopped in it because it was unlicensed. Is that justice? Where is the equality? Where is the religious freedom? Where is the law? Where are the state’ institutions?”
Good questions.
“Egypt: Muslim mobs force closure of 8 Coptic churches seeking ‘official’ recognition,” World Watch Monitor, August 29, 2018:
A Coptic diocese in Upper Egypt last week saw its eighth church closed following attacks by villagers protesting against the church building being legally recognised.
Across Egypt, there are thousands of churches informally acknowledged as ‘churches’.
Exactly two years ago, the government introduced a new common law granting church buildings the same rights as mosques. About 3500 pre-existing ‘churches’ were waiting to be legalised at the time: some had been waiting for over 20 years. Discussions to redress the imbalance had fruitlessly been going on since the 1970s.
In January this year, Egypt’s Ministry of Housing announced that Christians are allowed to continue to meet in unlicensed churches, pending the legalisation process.
But in Luxor governorate alone, eight churches have had to be closed while seeking legalization, Gamil Ayed, a Christian lawyer in the city of Esna, told World Watch Monitor.
“We haven’t heard that a mosque was closed down or the prayer was stopped in it because it was unlicensed. Is that justice? Where is the equality? Where is the religious freedom? Where is the law? Where are the state’ institutions?” he added.
Coptic political researcher Karim Kamal said in January, “The issue of unlicensed churches is not a problem from the state, governors, the Ministry of Interior or housing. The real problem lies in the ultra-conservative Islamists in some villages in rural and Upper Egyptian governorates, who fuel tensions over small unlicensed churches to pressure security officials into closing these churches to prevent sectarian strife,” he told the Egyptian news site AhramOnline….
The Virgin Mary and St. Mohrael Coptic Orthodox church in El-Zeniqa, 60 kms south of the city of Luxor, had to close its doors on 22 August, while Copts were celebrating the Feast of the Assumption of Mary.

Somebody remind me again why it is that all our high principles require us to applaud Nazi-derived self-government for Eqypt over the previous arrangements.

and again, why is it so beneficial that to achieve DIVERSITY we are required “to applaud Nazi-derived self-government for Egypt (and other places) over the previous arrangements?”

This Muslim mod who find Christians so very detestable and despicable that they even come out in force against them is many times the heinous fruits of the words spoken by the imams to the people in the mosques against Christians
For there are many Muslims who strongly dislike Christians. Some Muslims even hate Christians so much that they even become violence against them and burn their Bibles. One reason for this is that in the mosques and madrasas the Muslim clerics, as the imams in Egypt, who speak many awful and unproven terrible things against Christians and Christian doctrine. So much so the many Muslims get all worked up against Christians and Christian teachings and some those Muslims commit violent actions against Christians. Such false religious teachers, as those Muslim clerics, who speak to people unfounded and invalid evil things about Christians and Christian doctrines have been described in the Bible. For the Bible informs the reader in Second Peter 2:12. “They speak evil of things they do not understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption.” [N.K.J.V.]
It also should be make clear that in this specific above Bible verse, as well as in John 3:16. The word “Perish” does not mean loss of being but loss of well-being. As in going to ruin by ending up in languishing in torment in a terrible place of suffering that the Bible calls hell. Luke 16:19-31.

While the government in Egypt is secular/military the law, at the street level it doesn’t appear to have changed much since the Arab “spring”. There are less than 20 Jews left in Egypt so Christians, by default, are the primary targets when Muslims feel that hollowness inside. It’s that strange hollowness that appears when one is “granted” a superior status to others, without earning it. Allowing this persecution to continue is, perhaps, part of a government strategy to satiate the Islamic Inferiority Complex rather than confronting it. In short this means that, in spite of mountains of witnessed and reported facts, Muslims (especially Arab Muslims) feel themselves to be inherently “superior” to everyone else and letting them “prove” it now and then keeps them quelled.
Here’s an interesting article written when there was an estimated 39 Jews left in Egypt. The article references a documentary film, “The Jews Of Egypt”, :

The book “The Jews of Egypt” is available on Amazon and, as far as I can tell, nowhere else.

There is no such thing as justice equality, religious freedom in Islam. Actually, there is no law, anything is expected to happen with just few people protesting or rioting against the infidels.

Muslim mobs are the only way to get things done for Allah in a hurry…A one man mob is good but a thousand man mob is even better and faster….That’s why Mohammad never attacked a caravan or village by himself, he always took the nob with him…Mohammad may have been ruthless but he knew that size counts…
