Will the Islamophobia never end?
Imagine if a mosque had been forced to close after months of attacks from Christians. The international outcry would be immediate and prolonged. But no one will take any particular note of this.
“Church Near Kampala, Uganda Closes after Months of Islamist Attacks,” Morning Star News, August 22, 2018:
NAIROBI, Kenya (Morning Star News) – A church outside Kampala, capital of Uganda, has closed after months of area Muslims pelting its gatherings with rocks, sources said.
The final blow came on Aug. 4, when a stone thrown through a window struck Pastor Moreen Sanyu of Greater Love Church in Namasuba Para Zone, Wakiso District, and knocked her unconscious, sources said.
Pastor Sanyu said she was preaching when the stone smashed through the window pane and struck her on the forehead.
“I fell down and became unconscious,” she told Morning Star News. “When I woke up, there were only a few members who surrounded me – the rest of the church members had fled in different directions.”
She was rushed to a hospital in Namasuba, where she was treated for two days before being discharged.
The next Sunday, Aug. 11, no one came to the worship service, she said.
The church had grown quickly after beginning on May 4, 2017 in a predominantly Muslim area, swelling to 400 people at one point, she said. Islamist stone attacks had reduced attendance at worship services to 150 by the end of July, before all worshippers stopped coming after the Aug. 4 attack out of fear for their lives.
“I am not ready to lose my life by attending the church,” one church member who requested anonymity told Morning Star News.
Area Muslims had made strident complaints to the area chief about Muslims leaving Islam to join the church congregation, a sheikh (Islamic teacher) told Morning Star News.
“We cannot watch our children joining infidels’ church,” said the sheikh, who requested anonymity. “The pastor has no respect for other people’s religion, especially our innocent and immature children in Islamic faith.”
In furious tones, he said local Muslims will not allow the church to operate.
“We have not persuaded the Christians to join our faith, hence why should the church keep on stealing our members?” he said….
Muslims threw stones at the church building for months, cutting short programs and evening Bible studies, she said.
“The throwing of stones broke glass windows and destroyed a solar panel, and as well as there was the uttering of abusive and threatening words to me and my church members,” Pastor Sanyu said….

The sheik says, “The pastor has no respect for other people’s religion, especially our innocent and immature children in Islamic faith.”
Oh yes, throwing rocks into a church window and knocking unconscious the defenseless pastor shows respect for other religions? What would Muhammad do?

Uganda: Church closes after months of Islamic jihad attacks
…………………….
This is horrible. And keep in mind that Uganda–like Ethiopia, where the even worse story below comes from–is not even a Muslim country:
“Ethiopia: Muslims murder 15 Christian priests, torch ten churches”

What is a moderate Muslim, If your not blowing something up right now, your a moderate.

As much as I condemn this incident and wish that they stone pelting worms rot in hell.. CHRISTIANS SHOULD STOP THIS PROSELYTIZING Business, esp in countries of Asia and Africa and instead concentrate on developing their own folks. It gets very insulting to people like me when missionaries approach us and talk in very patronizing and sometimes even in insulting tones about me ancient faith while we have never done the same thing back and even respect christianity and christ. Just because we did not convert to christianity does not make us bad people. Yes, we become bad only when we do what these mad animal Muslims are doing to Christians…..
Kay says
There was no mention of proselytizing. 400 people coming to church is an indication of the Spirit moving.
And even if there were proselytizing, it was words offering a gift that no one is forced to open. It wasn’t persuasion by thrown stones.

People have every right to freedom of conscience–including preaching. I admit I sometimes find Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses proselytizing annoying, but I consider it the (very small) price of living in a free society.

Christ did tell his disciples to go out into the world and teach others what He had taught them but He also once said that if others do not accept the message to simply walk away with no objections or animosity. I agree with you that some Christians do get a bit carried away with the desire to convert others but they mean you no harm. At least they will not force you to convert under penalty of death or force you pay a tax to them in humble submission if you want to continue living. I’ve had missionaries from other Christian denominations come to my door and sometimes I chat with them a while and sometimes I simply tell them “No thank you. I already have a religion I follow” and they say thank you back to me and walk away after giving me a pamphlet to read. They don’t mean to insult you but just want to share with you something wonderful they have discovered. Please, don’t be too harsh with them …. which I think you are not based on the tone of your comment.

Let me speak my mind here… It gets very insulting when missionaries talk to us Hindus as if we are some uncouth savages, whereas, worldwide U can see how intellectual Hindus are just like the Jews. We have a very ancient intellectual faith that RESPECTS all others too. And let me once again speak my mind. In the West. the LEFT-LIBBES have COMPLETELY RUINED family values and there is HIGH DIVORCE rates…Compared to that, Hindus have very high family values and stable families and very low divorce rates, So when these missionaries come and preach to us.. we feel totally chagrined. Let me make it clear that we Hindus DO NOT WANT TO MAKE U IN THE WEST HINDUS and neither are we interested in dominating U and taking over Ur lands. We believe in the philosophy of LIVE AND LET LIVE. Hindus like me are only interested in preserving the Hindu ethos of our lands..

Infidel, if a Christian preaches to you, you can always jut say “no thanks”.
Not so with Muslims.
Surely you remember Muslim violence against Hindus in Uganda?
infidel says
@cogito No, I did not mean to be harsh….. that’s just the style I generally talk as well as write…I never hide my feelings ….From the tone of Ur email, I sense that U are a person who is deeply touched by the love of Christ and I say all power to that and that may U find more joy in his path…. YES.I will take Christians anytime as my neighbors….only because (other than their tendency of some of them to preach), most of them are very progressive, extremely intelligent, forward thinking and tech and scientific bent of mind. And as U rightly say, they do not kill U if U are not Christian and that alone is enough for people like me.. LIVE AND LET LIVE!!!
CogitoErgoSum says
Thank you, Infidel, and I respect your honesty and intelligence. Jesus never used force or insults to gain followers. He simply spoke and acted as one who had knowledge of the truth and treated each person as unique and of value in the eyes of His Father. I would hope that those who spread the words of Christ would act as He did but we all sometimes fail. If you believe that the path to finding the truth requires treating others in the same manner that you yourself would wish to be treated, then Christ would probably say to you, “Follow me.” But if you chose not to do that, I am sure He would leave you with a friendly smile and say something like, “Well, maybe I’ll see you later.” He would also wish you peace … as do I.
infidel says
@Cognito.. Thanks for Ur reply. But we Hindus too have great saints who have spoken and acted just like Christ… Prahlad was one such example.. who forgave even his evil father who was hellbent on killing him and attempted to murder him many times..

Since Islam has power in Uganda it naturally follows that a number pf Muslims will engage in vicious harassment and outright persecution of the Christians of that country . The Muslims clerics ,such as the imams , have ans share some of the blame for this Muslim harassment and persecution of the Christians of Uganda because the Muslim clerics with lying words they speak the the Muslims in the local mosque get those in the mosque all worked against Christians.
Therefore there are many Muslims who strongly dislike Christians. Some Muslims even hate Christians so much that they even become violence against them and burn their Bibles. One reason for this is that in the mosques and madrasas the Muslim clerics, as the imams who speak many awful and unproven terrible things against Christians and Christian doctrine. So much so the many Muslims get all worked up against Christians and Christian teachings and some those Muslims commit violent actions against Christians. Such false religious teachers, as those Muslim clerics, who speak to people unfounded and invalid evil things about Christians and Christian doctrines have been described in the Bible. For the Bible informs the reader in Second Peter 2:12. “They speak evil of things they do not understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption.” [N.K.J.V.]
It also should be make clear that in this specific above Bible verse, as well as in John 3:16. The word “Perish” does not mean loss of being but loss of well-being. As in going to ruin by ending up in languishing in torment in a terrible place of suffering that the Bible calls hell. Luke 16:19-31.
Muslim2018 says
1 Corinthians 14:33-35 states, “For God is not a God of disorder, but of peace. As in all the congregations of the saints, women are to be silent in the churches. They are not permitted to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. 35 If they wish to inquire about something, they are to ask their own husbands at home; for it is dishonorable for a woman to speak in the church.…”
Let us look at Gill’s Commentary for these verses.
“Let your women keep silence in the churches,…. This is a restriction of, and an exception to one of the above rules, that all might prophesy; in which he would be understood of men only, and not of women; and is directed against a practice which seems to have prevailed in this church at Corinth, allowing women to preach and teach in it; and this being a disorderly practice, and what was not used in other churches, the apostle forbids and condemns, and not without reason:
for it is not permitted unto them to speak; that is, in public assemblies, in the church of God, they might not speak with tongues, nor prophesy, or preach, or teach the word. All speaking is not prohibited; they might speak their experiences to the church, or give an account of the work of God upon their souls; they might speak to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; or speak as an evidence in any case at a church meeting; but not in such sort, as carried in it direction, instruction, government, and authority. It was not allowed by God that they should speak in any authoritative manner in the church; nor was it suffered in the churches of Christ; nor was it admitted of in the Jewish synagogue; there, we are told (b), the men came to teach, and the women “to hear”: and one of their canons runs thus (c);
“a woman may not read (that is, in the law), “in the congregation”, or church, because of the honour of the congregation;”
for they thought it a dishonourable thing to a public assembly for a woman to read, though they even allowed a child to do it that was capable of it.
But they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. In Genesis 3:16, “thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee”. By this the apostle would signify, that the reason why women are not to speak in the church, or to preach and teach publicly, or be concerned in the ministerial function, is, because this is an act of power, and authority; of rule and government, and so contrary to that subjection which God in his law requires of women unto men. The extraordinary instances of Deborah, Huldah, and Anna, must not be drawn into a rule or example in such cases.”
Hence we see the clear misguidance of this female pastor, according to their books there should be no such thing hence this “Christian” community is misleading unsuspecting Muslims who do not know their Islam properly as well as lack knowledge and insight into Christian bible.
As for the pelting of the stones, (I would like to hear what the Muslims side of the story, not a one sided report) better ways should be employed, these Christians should be reasoned with regarding the falsehood of what they are upon!
They have closed down the church but the people of falsehood wouldn’t stop there, they will continue in private gatherings luring and fooling gullible Muslim children and youth which ought to be confronted.
There will always be a never ending spiritual battle between truth and falsehood. The truth of Islam will always prevail. May Allah grant victory to the truth. Ameen.

If Christians would get some spine transplants and FIGHT BACK, we’d have been finished with this mess a long time ago.
But nooooooooo……. Christians must turn the other cheek, and allow the moslems to smite their necks.
