Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

The Nobel Peace Prize Finally Goes to Someone Who Deserves It (Part Three)

Oct 23, 2018 11:00 am By Hugh Fitzgerald

So far, Nadia Murad appears not to be pulling her punches when it comes to Islam. In 2016, she addressed the UN Security Council, describing how she had been gang raped for a failed escape attempt. All of this, she said, was considered legal under ISIS rule — which dictates that Yazidis, because they do not practice Islam, can be taken as slaves on religious grounds. “They sold girls, girls that were underage, because ISIS considered that permissible under Islamic law,” she said. “They came not just to attack certain people, but they came for all Yazidis.”

Nadia Murad has so far in her travels addressed audiences in Ireland, in France, in the U.K., in Canada, in Germany, and in the United States, telling her tale, and the tale of her people:

“Four years ago I was one of thousands of Yazidi women kidnapped by Islamic State and sold into slavery. I endured rape, torture and humiliation at the hands of these militants before I escaped.

“I was relatively lucky. Many Yazidi girls and women went through worse and for much longer.

“Over 2,000 are still missing. Many have been killed.

“In early August 2014 Islamic State invaded the Sinjar region in northern Iraq with the mission of exterminating the Yazidis. They called us a ‘pagan minority’, and because we don’t have a holy book we have been described as ‘devil worshippers.’”

“In Kocho, my village of 1,800 people, over 300 men were shot and their bodies buried in irrigation ditches. Six of them were my own brothers.

“Since then the Yazidis have received sympathy and solidarity all over the world. Rightly, many countries and the United Nations have recognised the genocide committed against us by Islamic State. But we now need concrete action to get justice and allow us to rebuild our community and homes. We have been displaced and dispersed around the world. Many countries, including Germany, Canada, and the United States have given us refuge.”

Now she has the Nobel Prize, which she can permanently use as a mighty megaphone to spread her story, and the stories of other Yazidis, across the globe. She is being helped by the world’s most mediagenic and celebrated lawyer, Amal Clooney, who has become the legal advocate for Yazidi victims of atrocities.

It will be fascinating to see how the Arab and Muslim media report on this prize to Nadia Murad, and on her campaign to describe the fate of Yazidis at Muslim hands. So far — it’s early yet — they are mostly observing radio silence, trying to figure out how to cover the story. Al Jazeera did report, in passing, that the Islamic State had tried to make her convert to Islam, without recognizing  that all Muslims are supposed to try to convert Infidels.

Will the Arab media focus on the one Muslim family that helped her escape from ISIS, as if that family should make us overlook all the Muslims who were not willing to help? Furthermore, should that one decent family  make us overlook all the  Muslims who engaged in the mass rape of Yazidi girls, and mass killings of Yazidi men? Will Muslim reporters insist, implausibly, that just as the Arabs and Jews used to have such good relations (“we got along with them just fine until the Zionists arrived”), so too “for centuries we Muslims got along perfectly well with the Yazidis — it’s only these Islamic State extremists who have been attacking them”? In fact, for centuries, under Ottoman rule, and until today, Yazidis have been persecuted as “devil worshippers” by Muslims, both Arabs and Turks. Constant  attempts have been made to force them to convert to Islam, though in the past nothing quite as bad as the atrocities they have recently endured apparently occurred.

There are now 400,000 Yazidis still living in northern Iraq. They deserve to survive. Will they be given protection, so that they can remain in their ancestral homeland? Can the Iraqi government be trusted to provide it, or will it require Western forces, having armed the Yazidis so that they can participate in their own defense, to ensure the safety of the remaining Yazidis, with some kind of cordon sanitaire? Let’s find out what Nadia Murad thinks would make the most sense. She’s not just earned her Nobel as few others have, but even more important, she’s earned the right to be listened to on the fate, both tragic and hopeful, of her tiny people.

The second that I saw the Amal/Anal Clooney Connection, I smelled a rather vicious rat.
Mrs/Ms Clooney is extremely Selective in whom she Represents &
I fear that Ms. Murad may be just a pawn under the LEFTs’ CONTROL. Willing or Unwilling!

How does Ms. Murad exposing the savagery of Islam–of ISIS, at least–make her a pawn of the Left?

If anything, Amal Clooney has such a high profile that any exposure of atrocities committed against Yazidis can only be a good thing.

Don’t forget that Amal is a Druze, who are a persecuted minority. Persecuted by whom you ask? By followers of the RoP (Religion of Peace).

Amal might be a Human Rights Lawyer, but she certainly wouldn’t side with barbaric behaviour.

…..”because we don’t have a holy book we are considered as devil worshipers”…. the book ISIS and Muslims considers holy ..sure is holy..but the word holy is SPELLED WRONG and its is wholly holey and is full of many holes.

Berengaria…it seems Amal’s mother is Sunni Islam but Amal has always been a strong defender of human rights. Here’s an article with video in which she (with Murad beside her) describes the girl’s ordeal. Amal finishes with a strong criticism of the United Nations:

When Nadia Nurad testified about the brutal cruel horrors committed by the jihadist s of ISIS she revealed the harsh reality of the Islamic “state.” when she said that “Thousands of Yazidi women were kidnapped by the Islamic state and sold into slavery” Regardless of the claim, cover-up for Islam, by the apologists for Islam that is Islamic “state” is not “really Islamic “ The Quran and other authorized standard written works of Islam informed the reader otherwise. Therefore that claim by the apologists for Islam is a false and bogus claim
For slavery is a heinous part of Islam is a topic that the apologists for that religion don’t like have people bring up .Nevertheless one writer revealed that “The senior clerics of Saudi Arabia’s highest body declared “Slavery is part of Islam and whoever wants it abolished is an infidel.” [1] Likewise, a former Muslim had exposed in his book that “Slavery is recognized as an institution and slave is considered both a thing as a person.” [2] In addition, two Christian writers in their book had also informs their readers that “Islam has enslaved more people than any other culture.” [3] Therefore Islam regardless of what the apologist for this religion do claim has not regard for human rights

When this brave woman, Nadia Nurad exposed the truth of about the heinous terror entity, the Islamic “state” which many people call ISIS, she declared that “Thousands of Yazidi women have been kidnapped by the Islamic state and sold into slavery.” Such brutal cruel and callous behavior by the jihadists of ISIS who are striving to establish a caliphate because they believe in and serve the god of Islam ,Allah , who sanctions such horrible action as kidnapping for slavery .
Such wicked actions of kidnapping for slavery is very much strongly detested and an awful affront to the God of the Bible. For in Exodus 21: 16 it is written “Whoever steals someone to sell them as a slave or to keep them for their own slave must be killed.” [E.R. V.]

The Bible is not a book you want to use as an example against slavery!! Like the horrible koran, it condones it. It’s no secret! Both books were written by primitive desert people. Worthless..

        Oct 24, 2018 at 3:46 am

        That’s a fact.
Like any other religions ever invented, all declare “their religion and their god(s)” the one and only true religion and god(s). Be it the peoples of the Middle East, of Europe, of pre-European America or Asia.
God(s) are an invention of those people and only idiots will follow their ancient beliefs of their forbears.
Get rid of religions and maybe, just maybe, wars will be a thing of the past?

To No Sharia, the point in posting that quote from the Bible against those brutal kidnapping and slave holding jihadists of ISIS is because those ISIS/jihadists are ,naturally ,Muslims.
Islam teaches Muslims that they should respect the Bible.
Of course, many imams make the claim the the Bible had become “corrupt'” Therefore the “respect” Muslims have fore the Bible has is limits . Maybe this “respect” Is just “lib service” Nevertheless, Muslims still do claim to “respect” “the Bible. Therefore its fitting to site the Bible verse against those Muslim/jihadists who make up ISIS

    …………………..

So glad to hear this brave young woman speak out.

Also incredibly refreshing to see her express gratitude for countries in the West giving Yezidis sanctuary–Muslims *never* do this.

And yes–while the Yezidis left in Iraq are not in such immediate danger of genocide with ISIS dispersed, they are still not safe.

      gravenimage,

Come to think of it, I have never heard a single Muslim express gratitude to a country in the West – for giving them sanctuary. It may have happened, I just never heard it.

      Excellent point.

Thanks, James. Mostly, Muslims whine or threaten that the countries that have given them sanctuary are not doing even more for them–forking over more benefits, or–even worse–not submitting to Islam quickly enough.

Nadia Nurad truly does , indeed , deserve to receive the Noble Peace Prize ,for she had spoken out and exposed those heinous and vile brutal misogynists jihadist of ISIS when she publicly revealed that “Thousands of Yazidi women were kidnapped by the Islamic ‘state’ and sold into slavery.”
Likewise, those cruel ,vicious and murderous jihadists thugs who compose ISIS are so very brutal and deadly that they even want to murder people. Those malicious jihadists of that jihad entity, ISIS, are actually putting in to the practice ,with all their ruthless actions, the violence and killing that is part of the teaching of the “holy book” of Islam ,the Koran. Which contain the doctrine of extreme violent force for the advancement of Islam. As seen in the Koran, for example, 2:191,4:89. 5:33. 9:5,111,123. 47:4. So in spite of the strong denials by many, ISIS is an actual Islamic organization. Likewise the malicious, bloodthirsty violence jihadists who make up ISIS are real Muslims. Nevertheless, there are some who might , understandably, wonder and then ask “Just how can those jihadists of ISIS ,being so very religious , also at the time also be so very malice-filled ,unfeeling and deadly ? “ The answer to that question is found in the Bible. For the Bible teaches that there are some people who are extremely heartless, cold, callous and dangerous because they have had “their conscience seared with a hot iron.” First Timothy 4:2. [ K.J.V.] In this case of the members of ISIS this “hot iron” is Islam.
