One of the arguments for mass migration, particularly in the wake of the migrant crisis, was the need for more migrants to counter the declining birthrates in Western European countries. Since the crisis, some countries, like Sweden and Germany, have seen population growth almost solely driven by mass migration.
There is no denying that Europe (and North America) is in a crisis of declining birthrates. The solution should never have been open-door immigration. Open borders are not the same as controlled immigration, which welcomes legal immigrants who intend to contribute to Western societies through hard work, as well as to assimilate and accept the pluralistic character of Western societies. This has clearly not been the case with the mass migration into Europe, which saw Islamic supremacism and its full range of abuses enter European countries in force. As a result, according to Austrian leader Sebastian Kurz:
A lot of people who said that (the migration of 2015), it is beneficial for Europe, it is necessary for our demography, do not say it any more.
Kurz has also stated:
We view some of the points in this agreement very critically. We will, therefore, do everything to maintain the sovereignty of our country and ensure that we as the Republic of Austria can decide for ourselves on migration issues.
Kurz’s view on migration is reflected in Austria’s withdrawal from the disastrous UN Migration Plan. The U.S., Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland and Australia have also withdrawn from this Plan, in order to preserve their national sovereignty. Australia’s Immigration Minister Peter Dutton said:
We’re happy to negotiate in good faith but we’re not going to sign any document that’s not in our national interest and it’s not in our national interest to sign our border protection policy over to the UN.
Meanwhile, Justin Trudeau’s Canada wants to “lead the charge” on the pact as it broadens its partnership with the UN, and more disturbingly, with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

Conservative Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz has claimed that Europeans’ attitude toward mass migration has vastly changed since 2015 with advocates for demographic replacement having gone quiet.
Chancellor Kurz made the comments this week on a visit to Switzerland where he met with the President of the Swiss Confederation Alain Berset. According to Kurz, “There are a lot of things that have changed,” and he noted the European Union’s recent drive to secure the Mediterranean border, broadcaster Radio Télévision Suisse reports.
“A lot of people who said that (the migration of 2015), it is beneficial for Europe, it is necessary for our demography, do not say it any more,” Kurz added.

When asked about his coalition with the populist Austrian Freedom Party (FPÖ), Kurz said: “We have defined clear lines to lead Austria, to change our country. The Socialists did not want to work with us, so we created an alliance with the FPÖ and we are making good policies of reform for our country.”
Kurz compared the anti-mass migration FPÖ to the Swiss People’s Party (SVP), which shares policies of anti-Islamisation with the FPÖ, having proposed a ban on the full-face Islamic veil across Switzerland in 2016 — a policy spearheaded in Austria by Mr Kurz and eventually passed into law in 2017…..
