Stand up and take a bow, Justin!
“Canada Becoming a Potential Base for Terrorists to Attack the US,” by Dale Hurd, CBN News, November 12, 2018:
OTTAWA and TORONTO – The US and Canada share the longest undefended border in the world. There hasn’t been a reason to defend it because there hasn’t been a serious threat from either country in a couple hundred years. There is now.
Canada is today the happy home of thousands of radical Islamists, ex-ISIS fighters and the Muslim Brotherhood. Their numbers continue to grow, with Islamists infiltrating the Canadian government on several levels.
Many Americans assume that all is peaceful and well with their northern neighbor. But security experts here warn that by welcoming radical Islamists, Canada now presents a danger to the United States.
Canada as an ‘Aircraft Carrier’ for Muslim Terrorists to Attack America
Terrorism expert David Harris, who worked for Canada’s spy agency, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, told us a major attack on the United States by Muslim extremists based in Canada is “only a matter of time.”
“Many years ago I suggested that many of the Islamist extremists might regard Canada as an aircraft carrier from which to maintain operations against the United States,” Harris said….
John van Doodewaard says
President Trump had better not ignore the security threat posed to the USA by Islamic terrorists entering Canada. The USA must see to it that the treasonous Trudeau Liberal government and its Islamic Muslim Brotherhood supporters get soundly defeated in October 2019.

Don’t blame it on Canada alone, US is not that far behind when it comes to hugging islamic terrorists! (…Trump, Trudeau requested me to help in evacuating Al-Qaeda “White Helmets…) – Netanyahu…

Again, christianblood, you post a video of Netanyahu speaking in Hebrew, as though most here could understand what he is saying (do you yourself speak Hebrew and, if you don’t, then why would you post this, let alone not providing a translation in English?).
As for Russia under Putin’s authoritarian rule, he has lauded Islam on numerous occasions, as gravenimage has detailed to you with sundry links proving such—he has, as examples, welcomed the opening of the largest mosque in Moscow, has praised the existence of Islam in Russia over the centuries, and has acceded to Sharia law being applied in Chechnya.
Then too, the Russian Patriarch, Kirill, has duplicated Putin’s pathetic submission to Islam many times. So much for the Russian Orthodox Church being in the vanguard of all things Russian since it is presently pathetic respecting its “take” on Islam in our time, as is that of the Roman Catholic Church under Francis and many Protestant sects as well.
You see how it is done, christianblood? One must be brutally honest in the search for truth, even if it results in the criticism of what matters most to you, what is dearest to you (for me, America; for you, Russia).
As long as you excoriate the West for often times exculpating Islam, but never do so where Russia has done so, you reveal to all of sense and knowledge that you are just a propagandist, a troll of sorts, and you need not be taken seriously. I stopped taking you seriously long ago.
Time for a sea-change on your part, christianblood. Way overdue if your love of Russia and your love of the truth are not inimical to one another—which they shouldn’t be, which they don’t have to be.
And please, no more links to anything if you wish to respond to me. Write things out in your own words and your own words only. Links to this or that often serves a purpose, but, in the final analysis, one must argue from the heart and with knowledge—with no links. Give it a shot, christianblood.

True, Wellington–and good question, Mac.
Both Russia *and* the West are in trouble and have at times appeased Muslims. But christianblood has said that appeasing Muslims is fine in Russia, and that Jihad terror attacks–including those against Christians–are of no concern. Very troubling.

Christian Blood, Russia’s Slavic Population has been declining while te Muslim population is exploding. I have read just now tryin to find out what % and only found only one guess that 20% of the Russian Confederation has Islamic roots. Russia gives citizenship to ALL in the previous USSR who serve in the Russian Forces. So it makes sense that the % of Muslims in the Russian forces would be higher. Don’t really know though. If it is around 20% and climbing it will back up Revelation with Gog and MaGog!
.
Graven: Since the majority of Russian Muslims are Sunni, and Moscow backs Shia Iran, very interesting!
mortimer says
A sound argument, Wellington. Unanswerable facts and reasoning proving that Russians are submitting to Islam … they have to … about 11% of all Russians self-declare as Muslim.
Over 10% Muslim population in a country is considered to be the DANGEROUS TIPPING POINT for full time jihad attacks.
If there aren’t daily jihad attacks within Russia, it is for two reasons: 1) the attacks are being suppressed in a police state 2) the attacks are being covered up and not reported by police and Russia’s media.

I am here responding to the general discussion about the management of islam in Russia.
In Russian actual political practice, islam is kept down by force using more brutal means than the West has yet wished to; the Russian state did the same in the time of the tsar, and afterwards in Soviet times, when there was a general suppression of religion.
As a result, the Muslim population of Russia today, though large and growing, is much more secularized and down-to-earth in their daily interactions with non-Muslims than are the more traditional Muslims from Africa and the Middle East who have settled in the West. That is why Russian society as a whole is still much less islamized, and more stable, than a Western society with an equally huge percentage of Muslims would be.
There is no wave of gang rapes in Russia, no qualms about handling pork or alcohol, few women wear headscarves, etc. This is because any attempts at Islamic dominance are met with swift and brutal retribution, not only from the state, but from ordinary citizens too. As long as this is so, and everyone (Muslim and Non-) knows this, an appeasing speech now and then is not so problematic (though still open to criticism). It is a gesture of diplomacy which, as long as the iron fist remains in place under the velvet glove, still leaves non-Muslim Russians relatively safe.
However, the situation is gradually changing, due to the global resurgence of orthodox islam, meaning that the jihad threat from the former Soviet republics and from inside Russia itself is growing day by day.
The situation is, as for any country containing sizeable Muslim enclaves, unstable, and a perfect solution not possible. Globally speaking, all countries with a Muslim population face the same problem: How to keep the peace with this population group without losing the freedoms of Non-Muslims.
Two wars have been fought by Russia in Chechnya in order to stop the formation of a “Caucasus Emirate” which the Islamist fraction in Chechen politics was then calling for. There was a vision in the nineties among Caucasus Muslims of creating an Islamic state uniting all the Muslim majority republics in that area in one great sharia state. This would have been an extremely bad neighbor for Russia. Such an outcome was prevented by reducing Chechnya’s capital Grozny to rubble. An alliance was made with the more moderate Kadyrov – who is nowadays, however, riding the global wave of Islamization and pressing for more islam in the public space. Nevertheless, the alternative would have been far worse. (Along the lines of ISIS.)
In the Chechen wars, the same atrocities were seen as we now all know so well from the Islamic State. Evgeny Rodionov, a young conscript who was tortured and beheaded with a dull saw for his refusal to renounce Christianity and accept islam, is much loved and venerated as a saint by many Russians (not least in the military) today.
http://o-nekros.blogspot.com/2012/05/saint-evgeny-rodionov-new-martyr-of.html
Many Chechen jihadis later joined the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq because they hoped to finally see their old dream realized there.
In Western media, the only version of the Chechen-Russian conflict was a non-religious one; the narrative being that imperialist Russia for no good reason suppressed the freedom-loving Chechens.
However, these two conflicts were actually religious wars to stop the spread of radical islam. There is an obvious similarity with the civil war in Yugoslavia, where the media also neglected to report on the religious aspect of the conflict. However, without this aspect, it is impossible to understand what was at stake for each side in these wars.

The problem is that Americans/Westerners are projecting their weakness to islamists to Russia but they need to understand that unlike the West Russians have their spine, they know their identity and they will fight for it and muslims in Russia know this very, very well! Of course, Russia is not the bastion of Christianity that christianblood presents it as. With over seventy years of the suppression of Christianity under the Soviet Union and a large Muslim population, only 50% of Russians identify as Christian, compared with 83% of Americans. Even Europe has a large percentage of Christians.
But this does not matter to christianblood, because he does not regard anyone who is not Russian Orthodox to be a real Christian.
And Iben Thranholm is unfortunately mistaken in her belief that Muslims have no interest in imposing Islam in Russia. There have been a large number of Jihad terror attacks in Russia–especially in the increasingly Muslim capital of Moscow.
christianblood has said before that he is not really concerned with Jihad terror in Russia, and that Western-style gay parades are a much bigger threat than the murder of Russians by Muslims is.
And Iben Thranholm has actually condoned Muslims molesting and raping women in Europe, calling them “normal red-blooded Syrians and Libyans” and blaming the West for their having to invade us.
I agree with her on some matters–but *not* on this.

1. Chechnya is not comparable to a no-go zone in a Western city, populated by immigrant Muslims. Chechnya is an entire republic; still a member of the Russian federation, but with its own government, language, and customs. During the two wars, Jews and ethnic Russian Christians were killed or driven off (they were always a small minority in that area, and now are practically absent), so the population now consists almost exclusively of Muslim Chechens. It is their ancient homeland, they are not immigrants. That makes a big difference. They will, as any people, fight unto annihilation for their home ground; but they will also fight with jihadi fanaticism against any attempt to curb islam. They have done so ever since they became part of the Russian empire.
Imagine if in the US there was, not a part of a city, but an entire state peopled by fanatical Muslims with their ancient warrior clan system in place. What would you do to manage them? *Is* there any way at all to do so?
India had a similar situation, they chose to create Pakistan. Yugoslavia had a similar situation, they descended into civil war and then split into different countries.
Would Chechnya be more dangerous outside or inside the Russian federation? Is the danger best contained by striking some deal with the Chechen leader, or going all-out in a new war?
I cannot say, and I am happy I do not have that can of worms on my hands. I see no real solution to the problem. But when you blame Putin for his strategy, it suggests that you see a better option. Which one?
2. My impression is that Chechnya on paper still has secular law, but Kadyrov is trying to sneak in more Islam by the salami method. To my knowledge, there have been no official stonings of women for adultery, amputations for stealing, or public beheadings, in Chechnya, as there would have if they actually had sharia law.
When ‘honor’ killings occur, they are officially treated as crimes (though it is another matter whether the murderers are actually prosecuted). When gays recently were mass arrested, this was an example of the ‘salami method’ (increasing islamic influence); but again, the gay men were not tried in court, nor thrown openly from rooftops, but were beaten secretly in the woods or ‘disappeared’. Kadyrov’s response when confronted by Putin on the matter was denial: he said that there are no gay people in Chechnya. So it seems wrong to say that the republic has instated sharia law.

No, comparing Russia’s and Western responses to attempts at islamization, I do see a significantly more conscious, and in many ways successful, response to keep it at bay in Russia. That does not contradict the observation that a call for Islamic reformation (= a return to its dogmatic roots) is sounding globally, and Muslims, including the Russian ones, are inspired by co-religionists in other countries to become more aggressive. So things are bound to change in some direction, also for demographic reasons.
You wrote: “Kadyrov is not really a moderate–he is just a “slow Jihadist”. Not all that slow, actually…”
Isn’t that always the case? As Erdogan says, there is no moderate or radical islam – just islam. You can’t win until it’s gone from the equation.
But still it makes a difference whether the leader of a Muslim country opts for a secular constitution or full-blown sharia. That is the one plus side of Kadyrov. Same as Assad in Syria: It remains brutal, but yields a marginally better situation for women and religious minorities.

Frank, with the greatest respect, if Putin in importing large numbers of Muslims into the Russian heartland in order to “keep his friends close and his enemies closer” then I think he is playing the game very poorly–given the growing number of Jihad terror attacks there, as well as Muslims increasingly emboldened and taking over the streets.

GI, please recall the teaching I share frequently, “There are no perfectly good or bad people.” Playing this suicidal game, if that is what Putin is doing, does not lead to a positive outcome from his perspective. No matter how successful he may be in enslaving his own country, trying to use muslims to help is not going to be another of his sources of pride and accomplishment.
I mentioned some time ago the exercise of “tickling the dragon” where 2 pieces of highly enriched uranium were brought together in a laboratory in order to find the “critical mass” needed for an atomic bomb. The exercise is described in the BOOK Fat Man and Little Boy that was in the library of the military school I attended. ONE time a nearly out of control chain reaction came close to producing a small nuclear explosion in the lab, teaching them they had the right size to destroy Hiroshima without further testing with the gun-type or Little Boy design, Fat Man, the implosion design was tested before the second plutonium bomb was used at Nagasaki. ONE possibility is that Putin is tickling the dragon with his experiments with muslims.
When we don’t know and he is not explaining, guesses and speculation may be necessary.

I’m afraid I don’t see appeasement of Islam working *anywhere*. While some of the specifics may be different, the basic situation, with Muslims becoming emboldened, taking over streets for prayer, imposing as much Shari’ah as they think they can get away with, and waging violent Jihad against Infidels seems much the same, in Russia or in the West or pretty much everywhere else.
…………………………….
You could be right, Frank. But–again–I think this is more just classic appeasement, the same sort of thing we are seeing in the West–that if you let Muslims have their Shari’ah that they are more apt to be (semi) quiescent for a time–but, just like with “No Go Zones”, they are going to be a lot more emboldened when they have consolidated enough power to go after Infidels in deadly earnest.

When we don’t know and he is not explaining, guesses and speculation may be necessary.
…………………………….
This is true. But I think we are prone–myself included at times, as well–to think that since Putin has no trouble clamping down on “Pussy Riot” and killing journalists, that he is “tough”. But we have seen this before–that someone is harsh with their own people–especially the most vulnerable–but is as big an appeaser to a genuine threat as anyone. Duterte in the Philippines is very similar–he will murder low level drug users, but largely gives Jihadists a pass.
Very troubling phenomenon.

GI, can we IMAGINE what was going on in the mind of the engineer/scientist who took two half-spheres of 90 percent plus U-235 about the size when combined of a softball (about 10 kilograms or 22 pounds), and brought them together until the air between the pieces glowed with Cherenkov radiation, signaling an impending chain reaction? I would really have to know if my math and design is “right” and have no other way to test my work than to stand there with the essential components of an atomic bomb in my hands! Considering the scarcity of highly enriched U-235 at that time, it would not surprise me to learn the pieces used in the lab test wound up in Little Boy.
Any hypothesis I offer as to Putin’s plan or motivation is a guess. Nothing more. It can be a start for testing through observations and analysis to see if it has some merit, or if it needs some correction or outright dismissal. Putin, whether he knows what he is doing, or what he intends, or what is intended for him as a consequence of his actions, is not alone in tickling the dragon of islam.
As much as I think of you and the vast majority of people who read and write here (including myself), I do not wish for any good people to be in the laboratory when a chain reaction happens. You probably remember that the first nuclear test we read/heard about from public media in North Korea was thought a “dud”. That could have been their substitute for a human operator doing the experiment. When a critical mass of muslims is assembled, large numbers of humans are going to suffer.

Jean, thank you for that link.
I have, in fact, talked about most of the issues covered in that video before–I am well aware of Chechnya’s history with Russia.
I also understand Russia’s being weary of such an ugly war–but, as this video makes clear, Russia has paid a high price for peace–including having to wink at and even defend a brutal Shari’ah state on her own soil.
Also as the video makes clear, this might not really be peace in the long term at any rate. If and when Kadyrov *does* decide to flex his muscles against the Infidels, they now have an army that Chechnya could not have dreamed of during the Chechnya War–and most of it has been paid for by Russia herself.
One other point–and one of the few points where I disagree with the video you posted–is that while it claims that Kadyrov has prevented Jihad terror attacks in Russia, this is pretty questionable.
There have been hundreds of Jihad terror attacks in Russia since 2011 when Kadyrov took power, and well over a thousand deaths. Except for the ugly high-water mark of 2010, the figures pre- and post-Kadyrov do not much differ.
Now, one would not necessarily expect him to be able to prevent all or even most Jihad terror attacks in Russia–but if one of the main reasons for handing him so much power was to prevent such attacks, then it has failed.
The *only* thing is that Chechnya is no longer claiming independence.
Personally, I was never entirely clear on why Russia decided to draw the line at Chechnya to begin with. By that time, dozens of former Soviet and Iron Curtain countries has declared independence from the former Soviet Union. Why Russia decided Muslim Chechnya was worth fighting to keep when all of these other nations were not is anyone’s guess.

I agree, Frank.
While there are aspects of Russian policy I do not agree with, I *do not* want to see any Russians suffer from the horrors of Islam, and have said so here many times.

Justin Trudeau is a disgrace but not as big a disgrace as our Democrats who would have the Muslims take over and given permission to commit jihad against all whites, Christians and other faiths and women. Our leaders are all disgraces as they have done nothing to safeguard our citizens. It is like “You are welcome to cut off our heads. Don’t let the blood darken your clothes!”

From the inception of Islam in the seventh century up until the past several decades the West comprehended that Islam was profoundly bad for Western Civilization and took steps accordingly to thwart it and even reverse many of its gains. That disaster of a decade, the 1960’s, which wrought so much harm in so many ways (though it got one or two things right like civil rights for all and the American space program), was the beginning of the idiocy which led to a completely moronic and dangerous pc/mc view of Islam. So many current Western leaders, like Trudeau, function as the almost inevitable end product of the nonsense initiated by that exceedingly tragic decade. Yes, miss the importance of the 1960’s in the decline of the West and you miss a lot.

Hey!!! Wellington, if you are a believer in Jesus Christ then you should read a book called “The End of America” by author John Price. You can get it on a kindle for just 99 cents. If you don’t have a kindle just download the kindle app for free at amazon.com for your computer. The book is about the end times and he backs up what he says with scripture. An eye opener!
Wellington says
Grateful Guy: Most every generation through the ages has prophesized about end times. 1000 A.D. was a particularly “big year” as was 1666. 2000 was also posited as end times as well. And so on.
Sorry, but “wolf” has been cried way too often. As for scripture accurately foretelling the future, may I refer you to one David Hume (1711-1776) who ripped to shreds ALL biblical prophecies. Every last one.
Understand, I think Judaism and Christianity enlightened religions for ethical reasons, contra Islam, but I also consider ALL religions, in the final analysis, the stuff of fluff. All threaten at least two things—condemnation in the next world, or condemnation by the deity or deities in this world of the religion of choice, for not believing or doing this, that or the other thing. Well, I don’t like threats for not accepting something. Philosophy and science unpoliticized don’t do this. Religion does innately—most surely.
What makes Islam, however, so different from other major religions, in a very nefarious and disturbing way, is the “third threat” unique to Islam in its theological blueprint, i.e., the right of its believers IN THIS WORLD to use force to insure that Islam prevails everywhere.
Whenever believers in any other major faith have used force IN THIS WORLD to insure its propagation, such believers were violating the tenets of their faith. Not with Muslims though. As an example, there are at least 109 passages in the Koran instructing its deluded believers to wage war upon all the world “until all religion is with Allah.” {Sura 8:39} There are 0 passages in the New Testament calling upon Christians to do the same thing until all the world is Christian. I respect this about the New Testament, contra the Koran.
All religions put forth extraordinary claims without extraordinary evidence (sorry, but the claim of the resurrection of Jesus, let alone his divinity, does not constitute extraordinary evidence when considering such factors, among so many others, as the claim by many early Christians {especially before the Council of Nicaea in 325} that it was a spiritual resurrection, not a physical one; that dreams were considered as real as waking life, if not more, back then; and that Jesus “appeared” to no one after his death except, my-oh-my how convenient and tendentious, to those who already believed in him.
Personally, I find the universe utterly indifferent to us. I think it far more probable that man created God than the other way around. BUT, no major faith is a threat to my liberty EXCEPT Islam. And this is why I despise it and why I despise no other major faith even though I accept none of them. If this does not serve as a testament of my overall belief system, nothing does.
And I am fully conscious that my “testament” here should not be of importance to anyone but myself. I expect NO ONE to think as I do but I do expect that I will, to the best of my poor abilities, try to discern the mystery of existence as my conscience, intelligence and gut feelings optimally allow me to do so.
Frank Anderson says
Wellington, you have probably seen several of my “witnesses” about what I believe. I think my views are quite unusual, and probably differ from yours. But, if I don’t have a right, and duty, to have them, neither do you have the right and duty to have yours. When I was asking the Big Questions, with no tact or diplomacy whatever, my uncle Howard was the only one in the family with patience and understanding to say, “Frank, these are the most important questions you will ask in your life. When you find your answers they will be the correct ones for you. Keep asking.” In my view, God WELCOMES questions and challenges. That is why we have minds, to learn in this life, and possibly prepare for the next. There is no reason to fear questions because the truth can withstand any and all challenges coming away clearer each time a challenge is made. My inquiry started over 50 years ago and continues, with a very strong hope in large part because of my unprovable faith in the presence and concern of God. Keep asking.
Wellington says
Thank you, Frank. As always, you contribute—and I respect this about you a lot.
For some reason, I can’t be specific here though, I thought you might like to ponder the following assessment of existence by Arthur Balfour, Prime Minister of the UK from 1902-1905 and the author of the Balfour Declaration in 1917 while in the Lloyd-George ministry, to wit:
“The energies of our system will decay, the glory of the sun will be dimmed, and the earth, tideless and inert, will no longer tolerate the race which has for a moment disturbed its solitude. Man will go down into the pit and all his thoughts will perish. Matter will know itself no longer. Imperishable monuments and immortal deeds, death itself and love stronger than death, will be as though they had never been. Nor will anything that IS be better or be worse for all that the labour, genius, devotion, and suffering of man have striven through countless generations to effect.”
I understand that religion has fought against such an assessment of existence for eons, much philosophy too, as well as the simple urge to survive and be “counted,” but I think nonetheless Balfour had it most likely correct, dismal as this might seem to billions of our species. But then, what we hope for, and the way things are, are not necessarily the same, or anything close to it, as Kant and so many other great thinkers have painstakingly pointed out.
I don’t know that Balfour was accurate in this assessment of his (who really does?), but we all have hunches and my hunch is that Balfour nailed it here. Best to you and yours, Frank. Take good care. As ever I remain
Incorrigibly and non-Islamically yours,
Wellington

Wellington, It should be obvious that I fight for health, both physical and mental. My uncle, Howard, who suffered with the nickname Grump for over 20 years, added a question that may have been first asked by the mathematician Pascal, “Is it healthier for us to see ourselves as some accident, or to see ourselves as Children of a Loving God,” Put another way, “If we believe in a God who does not exist; where is the harm? If we fail to believe in a God who does exist, what happens?” I have observed for many people health is achieved and kept by making the effort. When the effort stops so does health. The people among us who have stopped working for their own health do not want us to be healthier (freer) than they are.
I called Howard Grump because the summer after my official adopted father died I spent with Howard and his wife May. NBC started a new cartoon series titled Here Comes the Grump. Grump would come in to breakfast with an act that would end when he drank his coffee. I call him Grump for the same reason one would call a large person Skinny. He had one flaw, the passionate hatred of Jews that was unexplained in the nearly 30 years I knew him, and totally contrary to his character otherwise. He is my father by choice #2 in sequence but not in rank. The next Medal of Honor is no less an honor than the first.
Keep asking questions and seeking health. We are needed.

joanofark06: Thanks for your comment. As to what I believe in, respecting ultimate, metaphysical matters, I withhold belief. Belief is not a feature of how I think. I am of the conviction that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Virtually all religions make extraordinary claims but don’t provide extraordinary evidence. If they did provide such evidence there would be no need for faith and faith is something that is intrinsic to religion but I have no faith. None.
Now, I am not an atheist. In fact, I think atheism, if by atheism is meant the denial of the existence of a Supreme Being, to be illogical (I’ll be happy to run my proof for this by you if you care to read it). I don’t know one way or another if there is some kind of higher power. Might be. Might not be. Actually, no one can KNOW this. One can believe, and believe very strongly, in God, and indeed God might exist, but just as no one can prove that God does not exist, no one can prove that God does exist. All the intellectual arguments for the existence of God, however clever, ultimately fail because, as Immanuel Kant pointed out, existence is not necessarily a category of an idea. As the great Danish philosopher, Soren Kierkegaard, a devout Christian by the way, realized, one must take that leap of faith. But, as I already mentioned, I don’t have any faith. Not made that way am I.
I certainly accept evolution. I think it ridiculous to reject it considering the mountains of evidence that we have for it (examples being at least six species of Australopithecus, even earlier hominids like Sahelanthropus tchadensis, Orrorin tugenensis, Ardipithecus ramidus and earlier species of our genus, Homo, like habilis and erectus—all dateable with very good precision). In no way do I think that evolution detracts from the magnificence or majesty of a possible higher power. Indeed, it only would add to it. As an aside, I think it best to keep in mind what that great medieval thinker, Thomas Aquinas (1225-1274) noted, i.e., that the Bible was not meant to be a scientific treatise.
Well, that’s enough for now. Take care.
Wellington says
Older Canadian: Good to know. I am of the conviction that whether one is religious or not is, to some extent, probably tied up with one’s biochemistry or genetic make-up, a religious gene so to speak. Not sure though, but then it is difficult, not impossible, but difficult to be certain of so many things.
gravenimage says
The idea that all Christians reject science is also mistaken.
Mark Swan says
Yes indeed gravenimage—I for one do accept science.
Oh I know there are creationist that do not know about what can be known
from the Bible or Science—they make absurd statements drawn from absurd
conclusions—just like atheists they are not willing to concede to any evidence.
Here is just an example of why I do not adhere to evolution’s speculation.
Many claim that science proves evolution is a fact. However, discoveries such as the complex structures within living cells have proven quite the opposite!
Discoveries in the field of microbiology have changed the game
Our culture is saturated with the claim of Darwinian evolution: that natural selection acting on mutations that arise due to blind, unguided chance is responsible for life on our planet—no God necessary. However, when we drill down into the smallest unit of life—the cell—we do not see a world that anything related to “blind chance” could have produced! We see, instead, a complex and remarkable world of molecular machinery that points to a Grand Designer.
Is Darwinian evolution the established fact you have been told it is? Or is there reason to doubt Darwin’s theory? Many discoveries made over the last half-century call into question whether life as we know it could possibly be the result of random chance. One scientist with a PhD in molecular and cellular biology certainly doubts that possibility.
In an interview with Lee Strobel, Dr. Jonathan Wells said, “The evidence for Darwinism is not only grossly inadequate, it’s systematically distorted. I’m convinced that sometime in the not-too-distant future—I don’t know, maybe twenty or thirty years from now—people will look back in amazement and say, ‘How could anyone have believed this?’ Darwinism is merely materialistic philosophy masquerading as science, and people are recognizing it for what it is” (The Case for a Creator, Strobel, p. 79).
There is a constant smear campaign against Wells, as there is against any scientist who would dare call into question the god of Darwinian evolution, but facts are facts and any truly objective mind that seriously looks into the evidence must conclude that Darwinism is not the open-and-closed case diehard evolutionists would like you to believe. And if empirical evidence is not on Darwin’s side, this has serious implications for the question of how we got here, and whether there is a purpose for our existence.
As Michael Denton rightly wrote,
“The idea of evolution has come to touch every aspect of modern thought; and no other theory in recent times has done more to mould the way we view ourselves and our relationship to the world around us.… The triumph of evolution meant the end of the traditional belief in the world as a purposeful created order—the so-called teleological outlook which had been predominant in the western world for two millennia.… Any suggestion that there might be something seriously wrong with the Darwinian view of nature is bound to excite public attention, for if biologists cannot substantiate the fundamental claims of Darwinism, upon which rests so much of the fabric of twentieth-century thought, then clearly the intellectual and philosophical implications are immense” (Evolution: A Theory in Crisis, pp. 15–16).
Many people believe that the fossil record—evidence of the world of dinosaurs—supports Darwinian evolution, when the exact opposite is true. According to Denton, once again:
“The overall picture of life on Earth today is so discontinuous, the gaps between the different types so obvious, that, as Steven Stanley reminds us in his recent book Macroevolution, if our knowledge of biology was restricted to those species presently existing on Earth, “we might wonder whether the doctrine of evolution would qualify as anything more than an outrageous hypothesis.” Without intermediates or transitional forms to bridge the enormous gaps which separate existing species and groups of organisms, the concept of evolution could never be taken seriously as a scientific hypothesis“ (Denton, pp. 157–158).
However, the lack of intermediates, or to put it another way, the lack of missing links, which would have to number in multiple millions for evolution to be true, is only one of many problems with this theory.
Evolutionists do not like the term blind chance, and would prefer to present their case as unguided natural forces working to bring about all life forms that we see today. However, if blind chance is rejected, why Richard Dawkins’ book title: The Blind Watchmaker?
Evolution by its very definition has no intelligent oversight. It works, supposedly, by means of environmental factors acting on chance mutations, which are generally considered to have come about at random. It is therefore blind chance, no matter how someone wishes to spin it!
But irresistible facts are turning the science world upside down, and many former evolutionists and atheists are losing their confidence in “blind chance.” Investigative journalist Lee Strobel is one of the more famous among Darwin skeptics. His story is like many others. He once firmly believed in evolution, and as with most—but certainly not all—true believers, was an atheist.
He admits he looked down upon poor religious souls who were so ignorant that they rejected what he thought science had proved long ago, but after thoroughly researching the subject, he wrote his findings in The Case for a Creator.
In this book, he describes how 100 scientists from a variety of highly specialized scientific disciplines, with PhD’s from well-known and prestigious universities, reacted to a seven-part PBS series that asserted that “‘all known scientific evidence supports evolution’ as does ‘virtually every reputable scientist in the world’” (Strobel, p. 36).
In response, this collection of 100 credentialed scientists posted a two-page advertisement in a national magazine, declaring: “We are skeptical of claims for the ability of random mutation and natural selection to account for the complexity of life.… Careful examination of the evidence for Darwinian theory should be encouraged” (Strobel, p 36).
Strobel then goes on to explain that these skeptics of Darwin were “respected world-class scientists like Nobel nominee Henry F. Schaefer, the third most-cited chemist in the world; James Tour of Rice University’s Center for Nanoscale Science and Technology; and Fred Figworth, professor of cellular and molecular physiology at Yale Graduate School” (Strobel, p. 36).
Also among them were, “The director of the Center for Computational Quantum Chemistry and scientists at the Plasma Physics Lab at Princeton, the National Museum of Natural History at the Smithsonian Institute, the Los Alamos National Laboratory and the Lawrence Livermore Laboratories” (Strobel, pp. 35–36).
This is not the picture presented in typical high school and university biology courses, and certainly not by the media, but the next time that some know-it-all posts a putdown on the Internet, ridiculing anyone who is a Darwin skeptic, take heart. Men and women who know far more than these keyboard warriors do have serious doubts. Many former atheists and evolutionists have come to reject Darwinism—some openly, while others fear reprisal and stay “in the closet.”
Among the scientific discoveries causing so many to reject Darwinian reasoning, those in the field of microbiology have been powerfully convicting. Scientists today are able to peer into microscopic cells and see in far greater detail than scientists of past generations. Michael Denton lays it on the line: “Although the tiniest bacterial cells are incredibly small… each is in effect a veritable micro-miniaturized factory containing thousands of exquisitely designed pieces of intricate molecular machinery. . . far more complicated than any machine built by man and absolutely without parallel in the non-living world” (Denton, p. 250). This is no exaggeration!
Denton further states, “The complexity of the simplest known type of cell is so great that it is impossible to accept that such an object could have been thrown together suddenly by some kind of freakish, vastly improbable, event. Such an occurrence would be indistinguishable from a miracle” (Denton, p. 264).
One truly has to wonder how any educated person can maintain belief in Darwinism when confronted with the staggering complexity of life and the insurmountable challenge of explaining how life arose from non-living material.
You have no doubt heard the question, “Which came first? The chicken or the egg?” This is no trivial question when it comes to the origin of life. Here is why.
Most biology students are familiar with the Miller-Urey experiment. Stanley Miller and Harold C. Urey speculated that the earth’s early atmosphere might have been composed of hydrogen, ammonia and methane. By a carefully crafted experiment in which they sent electrical charges through a mixture of these chemicals, they were able to produce a few amino acids. This 1953 experiment was hailed as proof of evolution. But was it?
As with so many hopeful headlines, this hoped-for demonstration came up short, and reputable scientists recognize that there are huge problems with the experiment. The highly controlled conditions under which the research was conducted were unlike anything that scientists now believe constituted a primitive earth atmosphere.
Mark Swan says
It is also important to note that an amino acid is not life. All living creatures use only left-handed amino acids, unlike the mixture the experiment produced. And most importantly, scientists cannot demonstrate or explain how a single protein is formed by chance, or by any process other than that which we currently see operating in living organisms. The odds against a protein forming by chance are so staggering that many scientists have given up on it and are looking for an alternative explanation. So far, they have no credible alternative to speak of.
The problem of protein formation is brought out in Bill Bryson’s A Short History of Nearly Everything. “No one really knows, but there may be as many as a million [different] types of protein in the human body, and each one is a little miracle,” Bryson writes. “By all the laws of probability proteins shouldn’t exist” (Bryson, p. 288).
Consider carefully. Bryson, a believer in evolution, refers to each of the million or so different kinds of proteins that make us living organisms as “little miracles.” Why?
Proteins are made from long strings of amino acids that are connected in a manner that allows them to be folded into precise three-dimensional shapes. Unless amino acids are connected in a proper order, they cannot be folded into the shapes necessary to combine with other proteins to construct the machines and structures within cells. The assembling of these amino acids in an exact sequence is a necessary—but not sufficient—requirement to build a protein.
The amino acids that are used to build proteins are often compared to the letters in our alphabet, which are used to build words and sentences—but instead of 26 letters, as in the English language, there are only 20 amino acids that are used in the genetic code of life.
Think of the relationship between amino acids and proteins this way: This writing contains many sentences, each one totally unique—different from all others. These sentences are made up of letters that form words, which are in turn placed in an order that makes sense.
Now consider throwing tens of thousands of letters into a box and pulling them out one at a time and placing them in the sequence in which they are drawn. How long would you have to do this to come up with a perfectly constructed sentence, even a short one of about 75 letters? The same problem applies to proteins. What exactly are the odds of a single protein coming together by chance?
Bill Bryson asks and answers the question by discussing collagen—an extremely common protein in the bodies of mammals, including human beings.
As Bryson highlights, “to make collagen, you need to arrange 1,055 amino acids in precisely the right sequence. But—and here’s an obvious but crucial point—you don’t make it. It makes itself, spontaneously, without direction, and this is where the unlikelihoods come in. The chances of a 1,055-sequence molecule like collagen spontaneously self-assembling are, frankly, nil. It just isn’t going to happen”
(Bryson, p. 288).
If it “just isn’t going to happen,” then maybe we could get along without collagen. We cannot, but let us imagine for a moment we can. After all, there may be as many as a million different kinds of proteins that contribute to what we are, and maybe we could do without one or two.
Without getting into the weeds and losing everyone, Bryson calculates the odds of a more modest 200-amino-acid-protein self-assembling as one in… what? One in 1,000? One in 10,000?
No, the number we’re looking for is a one followed by 260 zeros! That number, Bryson helpfully explains, is “a larger number than all the atoms in the universe.” As he says, “Each one is a little miracle.”
So, who believes in faith and miracles, now?
This is why many scientists are giving up on chance. So far, no one has come up with a convincing explanation as to how even one protein came into existence without an intelligent designer and apart from the way they are formed today.
And just how are proteins formed today? They are constructed according to directions supplied by the DNA within our cells. DNA is nothing less than code—or to put it another way, instructions—on how to build proteins. DNA is powerful!
Most of us marvel at how much information is contained in a single computer chip or hard drive. But man’s genius is no match for DNA. “The information necessary to specify the design of all the species of organisms which have ever existed on the planet, a number according to G.G. Simpson of approximately one thousand million, could be held in a teaspoon [of DNA] and there would still be room left for all the information in every book ever written” (Denton, p. 334)!
So how did DNA evolve? This is a question that evolutionists cannot answer. Can anyone give us an example of code (or shall we call it “building instructions”) that ever came into being apart from intelligence? If Microsoft must hire highly intelligent programmers to write code for Microsoft products, why would anyone think that the most powerful code known to man would come into existence by chance? This is a serious question that demands an answer!
But DNA is only the beginning. Making a protein is complicated and requires the use of molecular machines made from already existing proteins! You need proteins to make proteins! DNA can do nothing without machines made of proteins!
Without ever explaining how DNA came into existence, Bill Bryson explains the paradox: “Proteins can’t exist without DNA, and DNA has no purpose without proteins. Are we to assume then that they arose simultaneously with the purpose of supporting each other? If so: wow” (Bryson, p. 289).
One must seriously ask again, “Just who is relying on faith and miracles, now?”
When confronted with the staggering gap between a few amino acids—such as those that were formed in the Miller/Urey laboratory—and the complexity of the simplest cell, evolutionists have a standard answer. Instead of explaining how such a gap is bridged, which they cannot, many prefer to skip over it and reply, “We are here, so it happened!”
Of course, no one disputes that we are here. What we dispute is how it happened, and there is a far better explanation: The code of DNA was designed by intelligence. The inner workings of the cell shout “Design!” Every bird, butterfly, fish and flower display the invisible attributes of a great, powerful and loving God!
The Apostle Paul declares that Darwin’s promoters of “creation without a Creator” have no excuse. “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse” (Romans 1:20). Israel’s king David marveled over the miracle of life, saying “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well” (Psalm 139:14). He also declared, “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God’” (Psalm 14:1).
To conclude this investigation of the current state of affairs, perhaps the final word could be given to biochemist and former evolutionist Michael Behe. In his bestselling exposé, Darwin’s Black Box, Behe explains how scientific research over the last several decades has exposed biologists to the incredibly complex inter-workings of cells that make up every living organism—facts that represent an “elephant in the room” that few want to discuss. His conclusion?
The result of these cumulative efforts to investigate the cell—to investigate life at the molecular level—is a loud, clear, piercing cry of “design!” The result is so unambiguous and so significant that it must be ranked as one of the greatest achievements in the history of science. This triumph of science should evoke cries of “Eureka!” from ten thousand throats, should occasion much hand-slapping and high-fiving, and perhaps even be an excuse to take a day off.
But no bottles have been uncorked, no hands slapped. Instead, a curious, embarrassed silence surrounds the stark complexity of the cell. When the subject comes up in public, feet start to shuffle, and breathing gets a bit labored. In private people are a bit more relaxed; many explicitly admit the obvious but then stare at the ground, shake their heads, and let it go at that.
Why does the scientific community not greedily embrace its startling discovery? Why is the observation of design handled with intellectual gloves?
The dilemma is that while one side of the elephant is labeled intelligent design, the other side might be labeled God (pp. 232–233).

Thank you so much for your replies, Mark.
I don’t believe that Darwin ever claimed that selection was due to blind chance, though, nor did he ever actually assert that God did not exist. In fact, he said that “a man may be an ardent Theist and an evolutionist”.
I know that Darwin did a great deal of religious searching during his own life.
The great thing is that we can openly debate science and faith–something that cannot be done under Islam.

.
Thank you graven image as always you give an honest and quite intelligent response.
I would never contend that for someone to believe something it must be true—when
quite the opposite is witnessed in the many beliefs that seem based on mere assumption.
Today, with up-to date-science, it becomes increasingly clear that the theory of evolution has become the modern-day religion of the educated—and, quite commonly, the religion of the uneducated.
Listen to the amazing words of Charles Darwin, whom many consider the “father” of evolution: “I was a young man with unformed ideas. I threw out queries, suggestions wondering over all the time over everything and to my astonishment the ideas took like wildfire. People made a religion out of them.” Charles Darwin admitted that his wonderings and suggestions became a religion. He was obviously ignored.
Some might wonder: “Well, how could evolution be considered a religion? Isn’t it based on science?” In fact, that is exactly the problem. Evolution is based more on conjecture rather than on solid evidence of science. That is what Mr. Darwin was concerned about.
According to Webster’s Dictionary: “A religion is a cause, a principle, a system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith.” If you use one common definition of faith as “a firm belief in something that seemingly has no proof” then modern evolutionists are full of faith. The faith based religion of evolution which lacks any semblance of proof is based on a series of assumptions that are absolutely without proof.
Let’s look at one of the principal doctrines of evolution that is a fundamental part of its very foundation–one of the assumptions upon which the whole theory stands or falls. That assumption is that “since the supernatural cannot be measured by scientists, we must reject the supernatural (or God) as a possible source of the origin of life.” This is about as logical as saying: “Because you can’t prove where your cat went last night, you have to conclude that your cat didn’t exist while it was gone.”
Just because scientists do not have instruments to measure the Creator, this does not mean that the Creator does not exist! As a matter of fact, current scientific evidence in physics and astronomy points to the supernatural origin of the universe. In the last 10 to 15 years, even many of the skeptical agnostics have had to admit that the universe could not have come into existence, on its own, solely within the laws of physics. Evidence of the creation event–which some have called the “big bang”—is mounting, year by year. There has been no past eternity of matter or past eternity of the universe. There was a moment in time when the universe virtually exploded into existence—of course, not as we know it today, but as the very first step in creation.
Instruments aboard the International Space Station, now orbiting the earth, clearly show a universe rapidly moving apart. If one were to calculate backwards to the very moment of the creation event, scientists say that it would be about 14 billion years ago. The universe had a definite beginning and did not exist before that time. Einstein’s famous theory of relativity demonstrated that space, time and matter had a beginning. In Einstein’s lifetime it was considered provable to about ninety percent confidence level.
Today, scientists consider the beginning of the universe provable, at a level of certainty that is essentially beyond a shadow of doubt. What does this mean? The universe had a beginning. The matter and the energy of the universe suddenly came into existence from nothing. Does this violate the laws of physics? Absolutely! It demands a supernatural origin. And that is exactly what God has told us about the origin of the universe in His Word, in Hebrews 11:3: “By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen [the universe] were not made of things which are visible [pre-existing matter].” So the universe was not made of pre-existing matter. It was made by God with His supernatural, unseen power or energy. We read in Jeremiah 10:12: “He has made the earth by His power, He has established the world by His wisdom.”
The religion of evolution denies the supernatural, because evolutionists claim that they cannot measure the supernatural. Yet all of their scientific measurements point to the fact that the universe had a beginning–and actually came into existence outside the laws of physics. By definition, this proves the “supernatural.”
The bottom line is that if we conclude that there is no supernatural, taking it to the obvious conclusion we must then say that the universe does not exist and, of course, neither do the evolutionists. Clearly, then, one of the principal doctrines of the false religion of evolution is improvable and based on blind faith

RALLY FOR ASIA BIBI, CHRISTIAN VICTIM OF PAKISTAN’S SHARIA-BASED ‘BLASPHEMY’ ‘LAW’ ON SATURDAY 24 NOVEMBER IN SYDNEY OUTSIDE NSW PARLIAMENT
The British Pakistani Christian Association is organising a rally in *Australia* – in Sydney – on 24th November – that is, next Saturday – in solidarity with Asia Bibi and to demand that the *Australian* government should offer asylum to her and her family.
Details here:
https://www.britishpakistanichristians.org/blog/australians-rally-for-asia-bibi
Australians Rally for Asia BIbi
“The large vigil will be held in Sydney on Saturday 24th November starting at 12pm at the NSW Parliament House.
“The vigil will then move peacefully through Martin Place and finish at the Pakistani Consulate on Pitt Street.
“Please come and join this peaceful vigil supporting Asia Bibi.”
So, my fellow Aussie jihadwatchers, if you live in or within travelling distance of Sydney… please, if you possibly can, whether you are Christian, or atheist, or Hindu, or Buddhist, or Sikh, or Jewish… go join this rally on 24th November. Defy – and *denounce* – the blasphemy law of Islam. Defy Islamic Pakistan, and the rest of the awful OIC. Declare your solidarity with a persecuted victim of the horrible Mohammedan Mob. And send a message to our gutless, dhimmified politicians and their advisers. The more of you can get to this rally, the louder the message will be.
And at the same time – make sure that you let our PM Scott Morrison, and our Foreign Minister, Immigration Minister, and Defence Minister, know exactly what you think on the subject. Let them know that, while you totally support offering asylum to a non-Muslim such as Asia Bibi who is being viciously persecuted unto death by the Muslim majorit in her homeland, you do NOT support admitting into Australia even *one* more Muslim, of any sort at all, from anywhere at all.
If Asia Bibi is admitted into Australia, the *only * reason that she will need some kind of physical bodyguard is this.. that there are a LOT of Muslims currently in Australia, among whom (this is a certainty) are MANY who would feel entitled to become sharia assassins, hunt her down, and murder her exactly as a Muslim in the Netherlands murdered Theo Van Gogh, and exactly as Muslims in France murdered the Charlie Hebdo cartoonists.
And *that* should be pointed out, and emphasised, very strongly: that if there were NO Muslims within Australia, we could offer Asia Bibi asylum and be absolutely certain that, within Australia, there would be *no-one* ideologically programmed to hunt her down and kill her. The fewer Musilms there are in any country that does offer her asylum **the safer she will be**.

These places have also become more filthy as the muslim inhabitants make sure to keep it that way; the rest of world likes cleanliness and what better way to keep them out? There are more mosques than pizza shops now. This is telling. Next is taking over of the parliament by taking over the NDP and the Liberal parties. Liberal party is already taken over by sikh extremists and many of them are now ministers, a point not lost on the Government of India. Their Prime Minister Modi refused to meet our prime minister till the last day of his visits and that too at a commercial hotel. No honors were accorded to this terrorist loving prime minister. Next step – Trudeau will be wooing muslims to get votes and giver over the beautiful country of Canada to ISIS.
