CNN fires commentator Marc Lamont Hill for repeating genocidal jihadist call to destroy Israel

In a surprising move, CNN has fired Marc Lamont Hill for a speech in which he stated:

“Give us what justice requires — and that is a free Palestine from the river to the sea.”

This means to obliterate Israel entirely, from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, which would require millions of Israeli deaths. It has been the battle cry of the Palestinian “resistance” movement. This jihadist call to violence has been chanted also on university campuses across the US and in Canada. These calls are frequently led by Hamas-linked groups, Students for Justice in Palestine and the Muslim Student Associations.

CNN’s firing of Hill does not represent a new phase in recognizing what the Palestinian “resistance” is really all about. The move by CNN was solely due to the uproar that followed Hill’s comment, rather than a direct response to his genocidal remarks.

CNN has fired commentator Marc Lamont Hill, who sparked a firestorm after he made comments that called for the elimination of Israel and endorsed violent “resistance” from Palestinians, a CNN spokesperson confirmed to the Washington Examiner.

“Marc Lamont Hill is no longer under contract with CNN,” a CNN spokesperson said in an emailed statement.

Hill, who has a long history of anti-Semitism, gave a bombastic speech at a U.N. event on Wednesday commemorating the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.

The speech argued for boycotting Israel; warned against shaming Palestinians for engaging in violent “resistance”; and urged grassroots, local, and international action to “Give us what justice requires — and that is a free Palestine from the river to the sea.”

The phrase, “from the river to the sea,” means expanding a Palestinian state from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, and it is a term that the terrorist group Hamas has used as a rallying cry for decades. Establishing a Palestinian state from the river to the sea would require the destruction of Israel, which is located in between those two bodies of water and is home to 44 percent of the world’s Jews.

The comments drew a sharp rebuke….

  4. I remember when Bill O’Reilly frequently had Hill on his TV show. He not only expressed a lot of bad ideas but did so in a very fast-talking manner that I personally found highly annoying. I sensed he had an exaggerated opinion of himself and his entire effect—bad ideas, fast talking, egoism—on a listener like myself was completely negative. He’s a bad piece of work posing as something informed and sapient, neither of which he is.

    So, this recent comment by him at the UN comes as no surprise. He is a very foolish man who is well educated, a terrible combination. Such people are all over the place at colleges and universities across America, in Hill’s case at Temple University which I predict will do nothing to him for his heinous and stupid remark at the UN.

    • I. too. recall the many visits to the “Factor” show and how annoying this guy was…for the reasons you state.

      Not only that, but it was equally annoying when O’Reilly would say, “smart guy,” after their one-sided discussion. I wondered at the time how anyone who seemed to be such a mental idiot could be a “professor.” Guess he’s just professing to know something.

      And his reference to the “New millennium goal” probably means the UN Millennium Development Goals. Far from being a plan to wipe out Mohammedans, this is a plan to improve the lives of the world’s poor–including Muslms. *Of course* he would hate a plan to reduce child mortality and feed the hungry.

      It also promotes gender equality–obviously, someone who believes that women should be mutilated, forcibly married (often as children), beaten, raped, and murdered would hate any such idea.
