Indonesia: Aceh village tells coffee shops to cut Wi-Fi so kids don’t get distracted from reading Quran

Nov 25, 2018 11:05 am By Robert Spencer

A glimpse into the future of Europe.

“Aceh village tells coffee shops to cut Wi-Fi so kids don’t get distracted from reading Quran,” Coconuts Jakarta, November 23, 2018 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

A village in the Indonesian province of Aceh — the only region in Indonesia with special autonomy to enact religious bylaws — is saving its children from the worldly distractions that are coffee and Wi-Fi.

As reported by Kompas, officials at Curee Baroh village in the Bireuën regency recently issued a circular to coffee shops in the area instructing them to stop providing Wi-Fi to customers. The ban has been in effect since November 13.

Village Chief Helmiadi Mukhtaruddin said residents of Curee Baroh had lately observed that children are neglecting their studies and reading the Quran because they have been spending a lot of time on the internet using Wi-Fi at coffee shops….

Coffee shops that don’t comply with the Wi-Fi ban may be subject to sanctions from the village council, though the exact punishments haven’t been revealed….

Aceh is no stranger to the implementation of religious-based regulations for cafés. In September, Bireuën also made the news for passing regulations prohibiting cafés from serving women after 9 pm or without male guardians.

Western governments have an amazing opportunity to deprogram Muslims ‘ABSOLUTELY’ by using the internet. They are not doing so, but letting amateurs do it on shoe-string budgets while AT THE SAME TIME, ISLAMIC GOVERNMENTS ARE SPENDING BILLIONS ON PROPAGANDIZING THE WEST.

AS WE SEE IN DEBATE AFTER DEBATE between Muslim apologists and their critics, Islam cannot be intellectually defended through ethical, historical, or logical arguments, because Islam is amoral, unhistorical (lacking a provenance) and self-referentially incoherent. Wherever absolute deprogramming is used MUSLIMS ARE LEAVING ISLAM IN LARGE NUMBERS. Today 35% of Muslims are non-observant secret disbelievers.

Islam is rickety and just needs a good push for it to completely collapse. Western governments SHOULD BE INVESTING IN THIS deprogramming to bring about world peace.

Mortimer…The Apostate Prophet believes Islam will collapse much sooner than we think. He thinks a reform movement like Quranism might eventually dominate but that it lacks clarity and a foundation for the “new Islam”. He states “The Islamic world is getting more and more influenced by Western culture…the spread of technology and information via THE INTERNET IS KILLING THE ISLAMIC FAITH” (7:32 to end):

      Can Islam Be Reformed?

As an atheist, so glad I live in a nation governed by secular, man made law.

for *now*, U do, PRCS; pious muslims everywhere, along with their allies, are working tirelessly to make sure that U and i, regardless of what our non-islamic beliefs may be, will either subject ourselves to their filthy cult or die for rejecting it.

as for me, i choose to stay a born-again christian, and if necessary, die defending my non-muslim neighbors, friends, and family (*regardless* of their beliefs) against this monstrous cult. because i am an old fart, i fully expect to be murdered, but i will spend every free moment right up to the end trying to inform others of the danger.

LOL!! Unlike the religious zealotry of secular humanism and its subjective “morality”, borne of the philosophical delusion of Darwinism, eh champ? Remind us again of the body count: 200 million+ in LESS than a century, and counting, of course. Man made laws? Like the ones based on the lies of vile pederast Alfred KInsey and his falsified research (that included child molestation), aided and abetted by the Rockefeller Family, that irreversibly altered the Model Penal Code and set the U.S. and the rest of the West on a path of societal destruction via sexual immorality. Brilliant! Clearly the stability, freedoms and prosperity of Western civilization, founded upon Christian values, you take for granted. Do you ever stop to think about these things? Oh, and please explain how your worldview accounts for morality and reason.

I dunno…the prohibition to the Internet sort of reminds me of book burning in Fahrenheit 451. If you are going to have a controlled society, you must regulate and strangle the flow of information. China and their restricted internet is heading down this way and will help to curb innovation within China. Saudi Arabia has a limited number of publishers within the kingdom. Countries with a totalitarian government usually have a very restricted information flow and a lack of intellectual ideas and innovation.

      —
yes, they do, but the lack is *far* greater in islam. allah has total control of everything at any given instant, and re-arranges every atom from one moment to the next. because allah is in complete control of every moment, however long a moment may be, there is no such thing as causality; if one insists upon causality, one is being blasphemous, because one is attempting to remove that ultimate control of allah from him. and of course, the ultimate result is that experimentation is blasphemous and must be punished. it’s rather hard to do research if the death penalty is the reward, which is why people starting virtually from scratch – europeans – were able to fend off the military efforts of an empire that refused all innovation, including military innovation.

To ensure that youth experience something for which there is no intrinsic physical harm, simply prohibit its use or consumption by authoritative fiat.

This development in Aceh is an indication that Muslim youths are desperate for connections to a modern world that is denied by a failing religion and geography. To quote an old song, “How you gonna keep em’ down on the farm, after they’ve seen Broadway?”

Good muslims are supposed to live like the desert Arabs in 7th century. That how their prophet (was supposedly) lived and their prophet is their role model.
Even the life in the Islamic paradise is not much different from the life in 7th century.

Considering that this is Aceh we’re talking about, I’d say they’re being terribly “moderate” because they didn’t simply barge in, guns blazing, shooting down routers first and asking questions later…
