The Nigerian government has repeatedly boasted that it has defeated Boko Haram, the Party of the People of the Sunnah for Dawah and Jihad, or was just about to do so. It vowed to defeat Boko Haram by the end of 2014. And by the end of 2015. In mid-2017 it called the movement a spent force. In February 2018, it again claimed that the jihadis were defeated. They weren’t, and aren’t.
“118 soldiers reportedly killed, 153 others missing following Boko Haram attack,” by Chika Ebuzor, Pulse, November 24, 2018 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
The number of soldiers who were killed during the recent Boko Haram attack has reportedly increased to 118.
Premium Times reports that a source in the Nigerian Army said that 153 others are yet to be accounted for.
On Monday, November 19, 2018, the terrorists invaded a military base in Metele village, Guzamala local government area of Borno State….
While responding to reports in the media, the Nigerian Army issued a statement saying that the number of casualties published on social media is false.
It also described the videos being shared online as old and inaccurate, adding that they are propaganda materials put out by Boko haram….

Why is it not possible, to use modern electronic technology and aircraft firepower, to find those Boko Haram hideouts and destroy all of them for good?
It would have nothing to do with “sovereignity of states” if such acts would be ordered by concerned countries (Nigeria/Cameroon/Niger/Chad), but much with defending their innocent helpless people.
Why the UN is not intervening? Is it because the Gas, Oil and other staff is still unexplorated?

the population of nigeria is split between christians and muslims. the current president appears to be non-muslim, but of the 36 state governors, 20 or so do appear to be muslims (by dress or name or both). given that muslims become restive when they reach ~5% of the population, and become aggressive upon reaching ~10% to t5% of the total, the future does not bode for non-muslim nigerians.
and as for why the UN does nothing, it is because it is a haven for thieves, liars, pious muslims, and leftists, and is controlled by same. the thieves don’t care what the pious muslims and hard-core leftists do, so long as their graft continues, and the pious and the hard-core are using the UN as just one more tool to destroy civilization.

Nigeria: Metele Boko Haram Attack – Soldiers’ Death Toll Rises to 118 – Over 150 Missing
By Samuel Ogundipe
News details obtained by PREMIUM TIMES have revealed that at least 113 soldiers were killed in the pre-dusk attack on 157 Task Force Battalion in Borno State on November 18.
This newspaper can also confirmed based on the accounts of top military officers that 153 soldiers are still missing in action as of November 24, nearly a week after the attack.
Those killed included the commander of the battalion, whom PREMIUM TIMES identified on November 20 as a lieutenant colonel.
It has now been learnt that the second-in-command to the commander, the intelligence officer of the battalion and two other officers were amongst those killed by Boko Haram in the attack, which occurred at about 6:00 p.m. last Sunday.
When PREMIUM TIMES broke the story of the attack on November 20, military sources were only able to confirm the killing of the commander and dozens of other soldiers.

Lying about Boko Haram and it’s activities seems to be standard for Nigerian politicians: the President claimed that none of the 200-plus school-girls kidnapped by BH had come to any harm, but was unsurprisingly stuck for an answer when asked how he could possibly know? and his wife toured the villages calling the affected families “liars” and saying that no girls had been kidnapped at all.
(However, I’m quite sure that e-mail I received yesterday from the manager of Barclays Bank in Nigeria promising to deposit £25,000,000,000 in my account if only I send him all my personal details, is entirely trustworthy….)
