Pakistan: Muslims block roads to prevent Christian woman accused of blasphemy from fleeing the country

Nov 2, 2018 8:24 am By Robert Spencer

The members of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan are so determined that Asia Bibi, the Christian woman who has been in prison for years on false charges of blasphemy against Muhammad and has just been acquitted by the Pakistani Supreme Court, face their vigilante justice and be killed that they are blocking roads all over Pakistan, so that she is unable to leave the country. These pious Muslims are avid to spill her blood, and believe that if they succeed in doing so, they will be rewarded by Allah.

“Roads remain blocked across country as TLP’s protests enter third day,” Pakistan Today, November 2, 2018:

LAHORE: The Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) protests against the acquittal of Christian blasphemy convict Aasiya Bibi continued for the third day on Friday as they called for a shutter-down strike, amid efforts by the government to defuse the situation.

Roads were empty and certain routes were blocked in major cities. Although most of the routes that were closed a day earlier in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad have now been opened been for traffic, some are still blocked.

Protests began shortly after the Supreme Court’s acquitted a Christian blasphemy convict Aasiya Bibi.

State Interior Minister Shehryar Afridi on Thursday said that the government is in consultation with the opposition for bringing the country-wide protests to an end. Afridi said they will get the routes blocked by protesters reopened “through wisdom”, for which all institutions were in coordination with each other.

As the protests continue, roads in major cities have been blocked and commuters are advised to avoid the following routes:
Karachi

In Karachi, roads have been blocked in at least 25 places, which include: Teen Talwar, Nazimabad, Liaquatabad, Star Gate at Shahra-e-Faisal, Numaish, Sohrab Goth, Korangi 5, Ranchor Line, Power House Chowrangi, Nagan Chowrangi, Qayyumabad, Murtaza and Bilal Chowrangis, New Karachi, Sanjrani Town, Landhi 89 and Teen Hatti have been blocked.

The road to Jinnah International Airport from Star Gate has been blocked and commuters are advised to use the University Road.
Lahore

Roads have been blocked at Charring Cross at Mall Road, Data Darbar, Shahdara Chowk, Askari X, Kalma Chowk and Bhatta Chowk.

Roads leading to Muridke, Nathe Khalsa, Paka Meel and Mohlanwal have also been blocked.
Islamabad

The Rawalpindi-Islamabad Faizabad Interchange is blocked. Roads are blocked at Dhoke Kala Khan and Tramri and Karal Chowks.

A motorways spokesperson said that routes to Lahore and Kamoke to Rawalpindi are open for traffic. However, the motorway from Kamoke to Lahore is blocked.

Further, roads leading to Taxila, Pir Sohawa, Sarai Alamgir and Gujrat are blocked.
Peshawar

In Peshawar, the Ring Road and GT Road have been blocked. Roads leading to the motorway have also been blocked.

On Wednesday, following the protests, Section 144 was imposed across Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan barring the gathering of more than four persons in public places as well as pillion riding. Section 144 has been imposed till November 10.

Moreover, hospitals were put on high alert to deal with any untoward situation arising out of the protests….

Yes, one wonders what is Nigel Farage thinking?

Islam’s blasphemy laws permit ANYONE to commit the murder of a blasphemer. There is no punishment in the murder of a blasphemer. The vigilante killer will be considered a hero who IMPOSES THE SENTENCE OF ALLAH.

Discriminatory Sharia does not permit the FORGIVENESS of a blasphemer. The punishment for blasphemy is death.

This is INCOMPATIBLE with British human rights, Mr. F.

IT’S A LEGAL MATTER, MR. F. SHARIA IS INCOMPATIBLE WITH UK LAW.

I would love to hear what those who call Muslims “an oppressed group” have to say about this, but I’m not holding my breath. To those who are so concerned about hurting Muslims’ feelings, the acquittal of this woman who has already served so many years for a non-crime really does hurt their feeling. Those freaks in the video are genuinely deeply offended by the acquittal. Do you now begin to grasp the madness you got yourselves into? Are still so sure you want to cosset Muslim sensibilities? Would you see this woman pulled limb fro limb on a Pakistani street because Muslims would otherwise feel hurt. Do you understand the pure insanity of pandering to Muslims’ feelings?

      Anjuli,

I can assure you that the average Jihad Watch reader understands and agrees with your post completely.

The challenge is to convince others. We must all do our part. We can support anti-jihad groups like Jihad Watch – and others – financially. We can also attempt to convince friends, acquaintances, etc., of the jihad threat.

We can do all this in a low-key fashion without inviting a death threat upon ourselves.

Doing nothing is not an option.

        Nov 2, 2018 at 7:13 pm

        James,

Thank you. I appreciate what you’re saying and I agree with you. My comment was only addressing people who tie their own hands by insisting Muslims are an oppressed group. That’s one of my pet irritations.

Just to level with you, I hope that what I’m doing contributes to tearing the Qur’an out from the hearts of Muslims, because ultimately, that’s the only thing that will kill Islam.

It doesn’t take much to earn a death threat, invited or not (as Asia Bibi found out and thousands of Christians living under Shari’a find out every day). So I choose to hit hard. Why waste the chance I’ve got? We’re working towards the same goal and I’m grateful that we have each other.

Ragdoll: and what about all the fanatical Pakistanis in Britain?
Do you really think she would be safe in Britain?
Perhaps some obscure Catholic country in South America, or an Asian Buddhist country…somewhere other than a European country now living under Sharia blasphemy laws.
The government of Pakistan should drive her in a fully armed vehicle straight to the airport, where her family is waiting with all documentation, tickets, visas and passports, and put them all on the plane with a contingent of armed soldiers surrounding them on the tarmac.

The malice and hate of those Muslims for that Christian woman demonically outstanding and awful. Even after she had been acquitted of those “blasphemy” charges held against her, those Muslim in Pakistan are still after her blood. How vicious. How terrible!

In addition only real reason that Muslim nations, as Pakistan, have “blasphemy laws” enacted, in the first place, is because Islam, with its many falsehoods, is such a weak and fragile religion that it can stand up to or hold up to criticism, at all. No matter how very mild those criticisms might be.

No. Muslims want to murder her–there is nothing so important to Muslims as murder.

  11. Walter Sieruk says

    Nov 2, 2018 at 1:41 pm

As explained once before , but is ,very much worth reiterating . This Muslim malice, in Pakistan towards this Christian woman is a good example of the vast and great contrast between the Christian West and the Islamic East. For years ago in the late twentieth century in the USA there was Roman Catholic man who converted to Protestantism . Since his conversion was in a Western nation there were no charges of “apostasy” filed against him. For is the West there is freedom of religion ,as for him or her to stay with his or her first religion of the change, convert to another religion. By sharp contrast in the Islamic East if a Muslim converts to another religion he or she is charged with “apostasy’ which warrants being put to death..

What’s more this man after he converted from being a Catholic becoming a Protestant went even further and actually wrote tracts and magazine articles of doctrinal criticism against many of the doctrines the Roman Catholic Church. His former church. In strong contrast to the Islamic East. In the Christian West there were no charges of “blasphemy” filed against him. For in the Western nation of America there is freedom of speech with includes freedom of the press along with religious freedom..
In an Islamic nation, as Pakistan , doctrinal criticisms of Islam is illegal and “blasphemy” charges are filed .against that person and then he or she is put to death. Even if found “Not guilty ” as this Christ woman was those hate -filled Muslims still want to murder her. Again, by contrast that former Catholic who became a Protestant some Roman Catholics reading the tracts he wrote of doctrinal of the dogmas of the Roman Catholic Church ,became very offended and ” told him off” That was the worst thing that happened to him . No Catholic murdered him or even attempted to kill him. He lived on to an old age. This is vast contrast to the violent and murderous way a Muslim would react to a person in an Islamic country who wrote criticism of Islam.

In conclusion, there a very large and great difference between the Christian West and the Islamic East..
