But the Leftist media can’t be bothered with facts. My latest in PJ Media:
CNN’s Don Lemon has found himself in the middle of a controversy for claiming, in the wake of a shooting in a Kentucky supermarket, that “the biggest terror threat in this country is white men.” When criticized, Lemon doubled down, claiming that “the evidence is overwhelming.”
It isn’t.
Ironically, Lemon began his venture into counterterror analysis by saying: “I keep trying to point out to people not to demonize any one group or any one ethnicity.” He then did just that. Lemon continued: “[W]e keep thinking that the biggest terror threat is something else — some people who are marching towards the border like it’s imminent.” The real terror threat, he said, was not those marchers:
[W]e have to stop demonizing people and realize the biggest terror threat in this country is white men, most of them radicalized to the right, and we have to start doing something about them. There is no travel ban on them. There is no ban — you know, they had the Muslim ban. There is no white-guy ban. So what do we do about that?
Responding to the outcry created by his remarks, Lemon later clarified:
Earlier this week, I made some comments about that in a conversation with Chris [Cuomo]. I said that the biggest terror threat in this country comes from radicals on the far right, primarily white men. That angered some people. But let’s put emotion aside and look at the cold hard facts. The evidence is overwhelming.
According to the Washington Post:
Lemon pointed to a recent Government Accountability Office report that shows that since the 9/11 attacks in 2001, far-right violent extremists have killed 106 people in 62 attacks in the United States, while radical Islamist violent extremists have killed 119 people in 23 attacks.
He also referenced several studies, including a 2017 report from the Nation Institute’s Investigative Fund and the Center for Investigative Reporting’s Reveal, which found that from 2008 to 2016, there were almost twice as many terrorist incidents carried out on U.S. soil by right-wing extremists — many of whom are white — than by Islamist extremists. It showed there were 115 incidents involving right-wing extremists and that those that ended in death were more deadly than incidents carried out by other groups.
Lemon concluded:
So people who were angered about what I said are missing the entire point. We don’t need to worry about people who are thousands of miles away. The biggest threats are homegrown. The facts prove that.
No, they don’t. It is a false claim that “white men” or “right-wing extremists” are a bigger threat to Americans than Islamic jihad terrorists.
There are many obvious issues with the Government Accountability Office study that counted 106 people killed in 62 attacks by “far-right violent extremists,” as compared to 119 people killed in 23 attacks by “radical Islamist violent extremists.” One major issue: The study doesn’t take failed plots into account.
At my site Jihad Watch, I’ve tracked jihad activity in the United States and around the world since 2003. In the course of that fifteen-year span, I’ve posted hundreds of reports on failed jihad plots inside this country. No one was killed or injured in those, and for that we can all be grateful.
But failed plots are quickly forgotten. They shouldn’t be.
Most Americans, undoubtedly including Don Lemon, have no idea how indefatigably jihadis are continuing to attempt mass murder inside the United States. Just last week, we heard of a Muslim in rural South Carolina who planted a series of bombs around his county and threatened more. In Alabama, a 22-year-old Muslima worked to facilitate support for al-Qaeda. In Ohio, a Muslim was arrested at an airport; he was planning to go to Afghanistan to join the Islamic State (ISIS).
And that’s just this past week.
If you follow the Post’s link to the Government Accountability Office, and read page 6 of the report there, you’ll see that the count of fatalities committed by “far right wing extremists” and “radical Islamist extremists” begins on September 12, 2001. Why?
Go back one more day, and the number of Americans killed by Islamic jihadists is far, far higher than the number of Americans killed by any other type of “extremist.”
Further, the comparison doesn’t take into account the fact that there is a global network of Islamic jihadis. They are found on every inhabited continent. Major jihad organizations such as al-Qaeda and the Islamic State have repeatedly called upon Muslims to murder Americans….

Maybe Don Lemon should have a look at who thinks hanging around with Farrakhan is okay. Maybe Don Lemon should ask why his media doesn’t care a whit about Keith Ellison while Brett Kavanaugh is dragged through the mud…..or the entire Clinton/FBI Russian collusion hoax. Maybe Don Lemon should investigate Antifa and Black Lives Matter. Nope…they’re paying him to tow the party line…and anything goes. Mainly–hypocrisy.
Weirdest times since I’ve been in existence.
Trump has exposed the mainstream media for what it is: the propagandist arm of the Democratic party. For decades, Americans have been told that their history is something to be ashamed of. Trump’s ruining their globalist, anti-American plans to erode and replace the Constitution.
Desperate times for a desperate ideology. Who’s behaving like a “Stalin” again?

Mr. Lemon’s race hatred is showing. Like the posturing Social Justice Warriors who conduct white-race-shaming sessions in our library and churches he would deny being a racist himself, which is patently what he is. A racist is someone who designates an entire category of persons on the basis of their skin color and origin as inherently inferior and/or evil. That is what Lemon just did with his statement that “the biggest terror threat in this country is white men”. (In African nations where terrorism is carried out on a large and continuous scale by Muslim fanatics would it be anything but irrelevant and blatantly racist for a white man to point out that all the terrorists are black, with no regard to the influence of their ideology?)
If Lemon should should have a look at who thinks hanging around with Farrakhan is ok, he should probably start by looking in the mirror.

Another thing many people forget about 9/11, is that it wasn’t only the 3,000 people (both U.S. citizens and non-U.S. citizens) who died on that day, but there are still many people dying from it, not only from injuries (such as many rescue workers and others) but especially from the toxic fumes they were exposed to. In fact, it has been estimated that as many as 300,000 people (New Yorkers and fomer NYC residents, and others who were there during that period, especially in Manhattan borough) will eventually develop serious respiratory problems, cardiovascular problems, cancers and other ailments due to the toxic fume inhalation. There was a good article in “Scinetific American” magazine from 2007 (I think it was the September issue, though I may be wrong) that covered this.If the respective Saudi and/or Iranian governments, were indeed involved in the attacks, as many people have claimed, then the U.S. government should litigate in a big way.Same if certain Saudi princes were directly involved.

I would buy Lemon the ‘History of jihad’, if I thought he would read it…But my experience with liberals is that they actively resist learning…’You can’t each an old dog new tricks’, and most of these
hard heads arem’t really that old…

“Brian hoff “–really, “DefenderofIslam”–wrote:

…………………………….
Never mind that ISIS took credit for this attack…
More:

This was not a terrorist attack–it was a protest against the imposition of Shari’ah law. No one was hurt.
“Brian hoff” is now reduced to calling protests terror attacks. Just sad.
BC says
As RS points out but for the excellent work of our protection agencies, FBI, Homeland Security etc. The number of Islamic terrorist incidents would be far greater than it is.

So true, BC.

Don Lemon thinks that yet he has a white boyfriend, typical leftist hypocrite. He is well named anyway, he is a lemon.

Robert, do you have a separate list of the failed attempts? If not maybe do one with dates and source in US only, Printer friendly.
Would be helpful in discussions.

More Americans have been gunned down by whites often whites than by Muslims. That’s a fact.

Muslims make up less than 1% of the population in the United States, yet they are many times more violent than any other group.
WPM says
“Whites” make up a majority of the America many Moslems are white, what percent of people in the America are Moslem ? Compare the percent of Moslems in America maybe 3 percent (10 million ?) being generous at that , of that population and the amount of terrorist activity linked to that population. How many terrorist activities by white Moslems are listed as both white terrorist activity and Moslem activities at the same time? How many Islamic attacks are listed as not terrorist activity but the results of mental illness ,or work related violence? Would Mr. Lemon be happy and accept for his” lifestyle choice” in any Moslem majority country? He is accepted by both the majority of white people in America with a very job and free to follow his lifestyle as he chooses . He is a true bigot putting the majority of this country in his little box of PC nonsense, how many Islamic leaders have publicly came out for full support of his life style? How many would put him to death or encourage others to kill him for his lifestyle?
Terra Nova says
Lemon, looking at your lifestyle which was and is already a long time accepted by us “the whites”, you were not bound by hands and feet thrown of the highest building or beaten to death, that has not happened because you were protected by the beliefs of the “whites” . I think it is time you move towards a country without whites. I think you would prosper much better, and this country would do a lot better without you. I can’t believe your words. How dumb can somebody be. I wonder from which country you come originally. Is it one of the countries where they find beheading, stoning, raping, flogging, the utmost lies, mutilating, marrying little girls normal, then I would say, leave now pls.

“ It is highly likely that the next time you are confronted by someone claiming that “far-right terrorism” (or some variation of) is a greater threat than Islamic terrorism, they will be citing a report or article that contains most, if not all, of the below errors:
A tally which starts after the biggest terror attack committed on U.S. soil.
A tally which ends before the deadliest mass shooting on U.S. soil. (Both of these attacks were committed by jihadists.)
A tally which fails to include certain other jihadist and right-wing attacks.
A tally which misreports certain attacks as “right-wing” or “far-right”.
A report which fails to include figures for Americans killed abroad.
A report which ignores foiled plots.
A report which ignores the number of non-fatal casualties.
A report which is not calibrated to consider the disproportionate focus of counter-terror analysis on Islamic terrorism.
A report which is not calibrated to consider the disproportionate number of attacks by Muslim extremists in relation to their lack of prevalence as a minority group.
A report which conflates several disparate ideological motivations for non-Islamic terrorism by lumping them all into the “far-right” bracket.
A report which ignores all terror attacks outside of the United States.”

Great list. Useful.
