This is a scandal in Britain? Why? It’s nothing new. The British government has been kowtowing to Muslim mobs for years. Pamela Geller and I were banned from Britain in 2013 because, among other reasons, I supposedly made “statements that may foster hatred which might lead to inter-community violence in the UK.” Who would have committed that violence? Not I or anyone I would have been with. The British government was saying that because Muslims might riot if I entered the country, I was not to be allowed in. Their treatment of Asia Bibi is no different.
“Foreign Office ‘allowed Pakistan mob to dictate Asia Bibi asylum case,'” by Patrick Wintour, Guardian, November 13, 2018 (thanks to Blazing Cat Fur):
The Foreign Office has been accused of allowing government asylum policy to be dictated to by a Pakistan mob after it was confirmed it urged the Home Office not to grant Asia Bibi political asylum in the UK out of fear for the safety of UK consular staff.
Asia Bibi, a Christian woman acquitted of blasphemy, is seeking asylum after threats to her life in Pakistan. The former UK foreign secretary Boris Johnson was among many MPs calling for her and her family to be granted sanctuary in Britain.
The acquittal of the 53-year-old Catholic farmworker by Pakistan’s supreme court last month prompted demonstrations by hardline Islamist parties in Pakistan who had campaigned for her to be hanged.
She remains in protective custody in an undisclosed locationin Pakistan after the prime minister, Imran Khan, agreed to allow a petition against the court’s decision as part of a deal to halt the protests.
Her husband, Ashiq Masih, has appealed for help to Britain, Canada, Italy and the US but the UK high commissioner in Islamabad is reported to have warned he could not protect his staff if asylum was granted by the UK.
Tom Tugendhat, the foreign affairs select committee chair, asked the Foreign Office permanent secretary, Sir Simon McDonald, whether the episode “does not raise the question that either staff should be withdrawn or security increased or otherwise UK policy is effectively dictated to by a mob?”.
Tugendhat took the committee into lengthy private session after McDonald said he did not wish to give evidence in public on a such a sensitive issue
McDonald defended Britain’s efforts to find a third country to take Bibi, saying this would allow UK policy objectives to be achieved without any risk to its staff.
Tugendhat said the episode represented “one of the clearest examples of free conscience being challenged today”.
The senior Labour MP Mike Gapes said: “Given the clear inability of this new Pakistani government of Imran Khan to stop these mobs from intimidating and killing Christians in Pakistan, is it not time to reassess our relations with Pakistan? There are big concerns if religious minorities in Pakistan are not safe.”
McDonald said the Britain’s relationship with Pakistan relationship was important to both countries….

As I was thinking–if there is a large Pakistani population in Britain, there’s also likely to be a Christian Pakistani population–so Britain would be the perfect place for the Masih family.

Yes, Alan, I have heard of similar things in Pakistan. An American was constantly harassed in Pakistan so that he parts with his property. They scheme to steal all the time perhaps on seeing the color of the skin and their culture is the result of Sharia dominance by hook or by crook(taqiyya, jizya etc) They talk so much about afterlife but are hardened, materialistic people; Some years ago one minister of Pakistan bragged how they owned swanky cars when compared to their Indian cousins.
These are compelling traits induced by the devil and his prophet.

Craven and deeply shameful. The British government has become a miserable excuse for a government. Certainly didn’t used to be. Is now though.
Frank Anderson says
Wellington, we are both old, educated and experienced enough to understand that what was in the past has nothing to do with why things are as they are today, with the exception of observing similar behavior.
Neville Chamberlain’s ACTIVE cooperation with Hitler before Poland (See, Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, Road to Munich) is the same display of weakness, submission, cowardice and collaboration we are seeing now from the UK AND Many other governments. They don’t care how many of their people are raped, robbed, mutilated or murdered, now or in the future. They are so terrified of confrontation that they will submit to any demand and believe any false, meaningless promise that gives them an excuse to cave.
Wellington says
Generally, Frank, the British government has been tough and stalwart (admittedly sometimes to the point of sheer stubbornness). I was thinking in terms of centuries, not just recent times. You might know of the Don Pacifico in 1850 as a case in point. The British didn’t build the most efficient and decent empire in history by being soft and craven. Neville Chamberlain was a rare exception for Prime Ministers, not the rule. Certainly his immediate successor was as non-craven and as tough as any leader in history has been. Thatcher was certainly tough as nails too. No, I was referring to very recent times as a sea-change in the British government, specifically the last four PMS (and their subordinates)—Blair, Brown, Cameron and now the extra pathetic May.
Wellington says
Meant to write “…the Don Pacifico Affair…”
katherine says
The last 4 PMS all right – all of them suffer from PMS I’m sure.

Certainly Papa Franco, the pope of the ear,the “Listening pope with his Listening church” doesn’t seem to be listening much.
Francis reminds me of my grandpa who had a peculiar habit of choosing not to listen whilst pretending to be listening.
“Hey Grandpa! Football results are in..”{Hearing Aid slowly switched to max volume}
“Hey Grandpa! I just got your medical bill..”{Hearing Aid suddenly switched to min volume}
francis is a bit like that;he listens to what he chooses to listen to and hears only when it suits him.
Like in the Asia Bibi case:by now, with a more decent and competent pope, one would have expected high level consultations between the Vatican and Pakistan to help Asia.
Walter Sieruk says
There are many Muslims who strongly dislike Christians. Some Muslims even hate Christians so much that they even become violence against them ,as seen in this tragic example in this case in Pakistan with Christian women ,Asia Bibi ,which alone Islamic intolerance and malice-filled hate, One reason for this is that in the mosques and madrasas the Muslim clerics, as the imams who speak many awful and unproven terrible things against Christians and Christian doctrine. So much so the many Muslims get all worked up against Christians and Christian teachings and some those Muslims commit violent actions against Christians. Such false religious teachers, as those Muslim clerics, who speak to people unfounded and invalid evil things about Christians and Christian doctrines have been described in the Bible. For the Bible informs the reader in Second Peter 2:12. “They speak evil of things they do not understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption.” [N.K.J.V.]
It also should be make clear that in this specific above Bible verse, as well as in John 3:16. The word “Perish” does not mean loss of being but loss of well-being. As in going to ruin by ending up in languishing in torment in a terrible place of suffering that the Bible calls hell. Luke 16:19-31.
gravenimage says
Just knowing that Christians are not Muslims is generally enough. Even such falsehoods as Christians worshipping three gods would not be enough for civilized people to attack and murder them.

England is a cesspit. England is the breeding ground of fundamentalist Muslims. Its social logic is to allow all religions to preach openly. But this is illogic, because none of the other religions preach apocalyptic violence. And yet England allows it. Remember, that country was the breeding ground for communism, too. Karl Marx did all his work in libraries there…

Salome, PLEASE check me on this. It is my understanding that many countries which admit large numbers of muslims, including the UK and US admit far fewer Christians in proportion to the population of the original countries. I believe your assumption of large numbers of refugee Christians along with invading muslims is in complete error. Muslims are coming as invaders to conquer instead of refugees to become part of the host society.
gravenimage says
You are right, Frank. See my link, above. There are very few Pakistani Christians in Britain–when they should be offered asylum there.
Frank Anderson says
GI with sincere respect, and apology for any insensitivity, offering a Pakistani Christian asylum in the UK, controlled by muslims and collaborators, is no better than offering a German Jew asylum in Nazi occupied Poland. There is no meaningful or practical difference in the danger and hostility of the lawless environment. It’s just a matter that a different collection of savages will do the killing without fear of any legal consequences. She and her family will be better off elsewhere if they can get there. And, like the boat people from Vietnam, and the several heroes who converted out of islam, they will serve as excellent examples for promoting commitment to resist the conquest.
gravenimage says
Frank, Asia Bibi and her family would still be safer in Britain than in Pakistan–the Muslim population there is still nothing like that in Pakistan itself.
But yes–it is high enough that she would still be in some danger.
The worst thing here is that Britain did not even offer her asylum–they just bowed to the mau-mauing Muslims. *Ugh*.

Seeing the craven Muslim pacifier and EU appeaser, Theresa May, standing at the Cenotaph allegedly “honouring” the war dead while she has single handedly betrayed all of them by handing our country over to Germany as a a vassal state in her stupid “deal” was enough to make anyone throw up.
This woman should never have been made Prime Minister and it seems no-one in Government has the guts or will to remove her.
Meanwhile our country becomes the laughing stock of the word, cravenly submitting to the EU and welcoming no end of Muslim immigrants, who now fill the daily papers with all their crimes and misdeeds and “honour” killings.
Frank Anderson says
My Christian friends and family all have a challenging time with the 3 in 1 explanation. I find the explanation confusing, which is one reason I follow the person Jesus, a Jewish teacher, and the first well-known Reform Jewish Rabbi. I think I am a religious community of one. But I also think God has a wonderful time watching us struggle to understand in this life so He can tell us the REAL truth in the next. I know of no Christian who believes there are 3, or even 4 (Mary) gods being worshiped. But the confusion (that I understand from a PhD teaching Baptist preacher) originated over the more or less 100 year long fight over the divinity of Jesus (See, Christology) and has given critics much ammunition to defame Christians or worse. I continue to witness my belief that God can forgive our errors and love us anyway.

I don’t personally find the concept of the Trinity that complex, Frank–although I know some do. And, certainly, I didn’t fully understand it as a child–I thought of God and Jesus as father and son, and wasn’t quite sure what to make of the Holy Spirit…
(I always rather liked the story of St. Patrick using the three-leaved Shamrock to explain the concept of the Trinity to the pagan Irish).
But there are many people who don’t fully understand other’s faiths (or even sometimes their own). The main issue is how they respond to this confusion.
With pious Muslims, of course, the response is almost always to persecute and murder.

If Islam is the religion of peace as we are lectured to ad nauseam and muslims make up a mere 5% of the UK population, then why is Mrs May afraid of giving refuge to a fellow human being on compassionate and humanitarian grounds?
Shameful conduct and petty excuses from the UK (and other Western Governments) which like to remind the world of their proud refugee policies and records.
Let this be a salutary lesson for all of us.

GI, with the vast majority of my family by choice Christian, and being shown that I am unwelcome in another local community, I smile and let such issues remain for others to solve. I believe I have seen enough in my life that I am satisfied the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob AND Jesus lives, cares and wishes for us good lives until such time as we see Him in person. The rest of it can be burdensome in some hands. But not mine. There is room enough in God’s World for all of us. We are the ones who make it crowded.
gravenimage says
Agreed, Frank.

GI, as usual we are not that far apart. My problem with anyone I care about in the UK is that the right and duty of self-defense has been made criminal, and the police are busy enforcing “law” against people who are being harmed instead of the people doing the harm. I do not (and have difficulty seeing how one would) see a meaningful difference in the present corrupt UK legal system and the Hitler era period when the SA was running uncontrolled, particularly between Jan 30, 1933 and The Night of the Long Knives when the SA leadership was shot. Imagine a Jew making a complaint about SA or SS brutality? Sophie Scholl (phonetic) was a GERMAN (Aryan) who distributed leaflets and was guillotined for it. The executioners in the UK may not be ordinary government employees, but could well be on welfare and other “social benefits”.
The various people along the way in my life who told me I was not welcome did me a favor, saving me from wasting my time and effort and pushing me into far better circumstances than they presented. At least they told the truth instead of pretending. No great loss for me.

If you do some reading on the term “sociopath” I believe you will find them described as lacking any sense of legal, moral or ethical limitation, quite compatible with islam;, and when the element of narcissism (exaggerated self-image) is added, you will have a person with no regard for the rights or interest of others. I believe professionally qualified psychiatrists and psychologists would note that this personality frequently rises to the top of many organizations, and abuses their positions because they enjoy the power. If there is any question for any reader, I humbly suggest reading our host’s Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam and the Crusades, which presents an excellent introduction of islam in 117 pages, and Bill Warner’s An Abridged Koran, which puts the chapters (suras) in chronological order, removes much repetition, and explains much as he goes. I’ll post this here but I’ll also put it in newer threads so Aussie jihadwatchers know about it.
The British Pakistani Christian Association is organising a rally in *Australia* – in Sydney – on 24th November – that is, next Saturday – in solidarity with Asia Bibi and to demand that the *Australian* government should offer asylum to her and her family.
Details here:
https://www.britishpakistanichristians.org/blog/australians-rally-for-asia-bibi
Australians Rally for Asia BIbi
“The large vigil will be held in Sydney on Saturday 24th November starting at 12pm at the NSW Parliament House.
“The vigil will then move peacefully through Martin Place and finish at the Pakistani Consulate on Pitt Street.
“Please come and join this peaceful vigil supporting Asia Bibi.”
So, my fellow Aussie jihadwatchers, if you live in or within travelling distance of Sydney… please, if you possibly can, whether you are Christian, or atheist, or Hindu, or Buddhist, or Sikh, or Jewish… go join this rally on 24th November. Defy – and *denounce* – the blasphemy law of Islam. Defy Islamic Pakistan, and the rest of the awful OIC. Declare your solidarity with a persecuted victim of the horrible Mohammedan Mob. And send a message to our gutless, dhimmified politicians and their advisers. The more of you can get to this rally, the louder the message will be.
And at the same time – make sure that you let our PM Scott Morrison, and our Foreign Minister, Immigration Minister, and Defence Minister, know exactly what you think on the subject. Let them know that, while you totally support offering asylum to a non-Muslim such as Asia Bibi who is being viciously persecuted unto death by the Muslim majorit in her homeland, you do NOT support admitting into Australia even *one* more Muslim, of any sort at all, from anywhere at all.
If Asia Bibi is admitted into Australia, the *only * reason that she will need some kind of physical bodyguard is this.. that there are a LOT of Muslims currently in Australia, among whom (this is a certainty) are MANY who would feel entitled to become sharia assassins, hunt her down, and murder her exactly as a Muslim in the Netherlands murdered Theo Van Gogh, and exactly as Muslims in France murdered the Charlie Hebdo cartoonists.
And *that* should be pointed out, and emphasised, very strongly: that if there were NO Muslims within Australia, we could offer Asia Bibi asylum and be absolutely certain that, within Australia, there would be *no-one* ideologically programmed to hunt her down and kill her. The fewer Musilms there are in any country that does offer her asylum **the safer she will be**.
Frank Anderson says
DDA, I am about 12,000 miles away and not sure if any religious description fits me; but I will be there in spirit to support this family and all like them who suffer today under islam.
I suggest a possible alternative: Instead of looking for an environment where there are no muslims (which is probably hard) and assuming the family is psychologically prepared to act in its own defense instead of submitting to murder, how about a place where self-defense is not only allowed, but encouraged. There are states in the US where not only the law, but also law enforcement, understands their inability to be present everywhere in time to protect us. They work with us to provide the ability to function in the face of many threats of violence, Other states and countries could learn from this approach. “God made humans. Sam Colt made them equal.” “There is no more peaceful place than a room full of armed men.”
I wish this family, and all in similar hardship, freedom to worship as they wish without any comment or limitation from anyone else. That’s the same as I wish for myself. It can happen.
