In this audio clip, Alexander Sangmoore reads the Introduction to The History of Jihad From Muhammad to ISIS and gives it a fine English elegance.
I myself read the entire book; you can get that audio file here.
And if you prefer a hard copy, that’s here, and Kindle here.
Stuff the stockings of those you love with the truth the free world needs to know: The History of Jihad From Muhammad to ISIS.

I found this a fascinating book about a core aspect of human history and the present. Seeing the whole history of jihad as it unfolded around the world significantly alters one’s understanding of much of the rest of history as well. The book is documented from the Islamic sources themselves.

Excellent Robert, the more versions and dimensions of this book that is available the more accessible it will be for the curious.
Now for the graphic novel and Braille versions! 🙂

*Poor thing*–Muslims are brutally cruel to animals, dogs especially.

Oh no, what a crummy narration! The narrator speaks out the punctuation (e.g.,”quote” and “end quote” for quotations marks). I would prefer that this information be conveyed by a change in the tone of voice. The voice sounds to me slightly muffled. And the faltering over the pronunciation of “proto-multiculturalism” (at 1:28) is unforgivable. Did the narrator not read the text before speaking it? Was he prevented from recording over any misspeakings? The speech slows down and then resumes its pace, as if the narrator is extemporaneously reading the text for the first time. Sorry, Alexander Sangmoore, but narration is not one of your talent (judging from this one excerpt).
On the other hand, Thank you, Robert Spencer, for introducing Alexander Sangmoore. I tried looking him up, and what I found makes me want to follow him.

“My name is Alexander A. F. Sangmoore – I am a new youtuber/freelance journalist with a background in business and economics degrees, a designer baby of the 90’s whose donor was chosen for intelligence and wealth. I am also half blind.” Ooh, looks like the baby-designing was not entirely successful. In looking for videos he has produced, I found
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQ1Oed-Yb5w&feature=youtu.be , which is labeled
“(!) This video is no longer available because the YouTube account associated with this video has been terminated.” As far as I’m concerned, that’s an endorsement!
Speaking of narrators again, years ago the author Frederick Forsyth impressed me with his clear, well modulated narration of a presentation about military hardware. And the retired talk-show host Dick Cavett has a pleasant narrator’s voice too. These two would make good narrators with a British and an American accent, respectively, but they both might be too old (80 and 82, respectively) to have a robust voice.

Yes. I found the narration too halting to be comfortable.

This would make an idea Christmas present for pope francis since he has great difficulty with “proper reading” given his statement regarding the koran that..
“Authentic islam and a proper reading of the koran show it to be opposed to every form of violence”,something which even the Gospel doesn’t claim to be.
francis:The “listening pope of the listening church”.
Come on!
It’s the perfect gift.An audio book about something that is a hobby of his:promoting the religion of peace!
Now he has a chance to brush up on those essential facts about islam that he chooses to ignore.
Oh to be a fly on the wall at Christmas at the Vatican!After their token displays of well-publicized, well-rehearsed false piety{The Urbi et Orbi show} and indifference to the plight of persecuted christians{Sorry Asia!Sorry Sudanese Christians!},surely the gifts are exchanged and the games begin:….Cardinal mcWho?Pass the {pedo-protecting bishop} parcel…Truth or dare{Heresy and Apostasy version},Opus Dei qui tollis..,Blind clergyman’s buff..monopoly{vatican version:it has two six-sided dice with 6 written.. on all the sides..you can’t lose!It’s a lock…}
An audio book about islam for the “listening pope of the listening church” is surely the ideal and perfect gift for a pope ….who can’t read properly.
Imagine his initial joy and surprise..and subsequent trepidation…. to be given a chance to find out the Truth about islam given his difficulties with “proper reading”.. its the gift they all need in Rome..
Jim Spencer says
Robert – As someone has already indicated above, the narration is “too halting to be comfortable”. On Amazon I discovered that you yourself have narrated the book. Your own narration is very much superior to the Sangmoore version.
