“Justice Bellew also said it was clear the teenager had held and ‘extremist and radical ideology which advocated violence’ from as young as 12.”
Who taught this young man Islam? Has his local mosque been investigated? Note that he was arrested in a “Muslim prayer hall.” Would it be “Islamophobic” to investigate that place? Are these questions being waved away with the usual non-explanation, that he was “radicalized on the Internet”?
“Teen terror plotter jailed for a maximum of 16 years,” by Kelly Fedor, 9 News, December 11, 2018 (thanks to J.):
A Bankstown teenager has been jailed for a maximum of 16 years by a judge who labelled him an “unequivocally committed terrorist”.
The 18-year-old waved to his family as he was led away, with the court told he still claims to be innocent.
He was captured on CCTV in 2016 with an a friend buying two knives, telling the salesman they wanted to go “pig hunting”.
Six days later he bought another two knives, this time bayonets which were hidden in his alleged co-accused’s bag.
But counter-terrorism police were on their tail and when they arrested him at a Muslim prayer hall he shouted “you’re all pigs, look at you like lambs to the slaughter… you will be slaughtered at the hands of Allah”.
Police also found a half-written note which pledged allegiance to the “caliph”.
Despite that the boy tried to argue at trial and again during a sentence hearing that there was an innocent explanation, the knives were intended for a hunting and camping trip.
Justice Bellew described that as “nonsensical as well as fanciful”.
He accepted the attack was imminent given he had been reading Islamic State articles which recommended using a knife to inflict terror because they were “easy to conceal”.
The court heard the teen was arrested near the police station and court house where “he knew there would be people in the vicinity who he regarded as evil”.
Justice Bellew also said it was clear the teenager had held and “extremist and radical ideology which advocated violence” from as young as 12.
He was photographed at the Hyde Park riots holding a placard which read “behead all those who insult the prophet”.
He had also refused to stand up for the Australian national anthem at a school assembly.
“I will only stand up for Allah and I do not respect the Australian Government because they sent troops overseas to kill the men and rape the children,” he told his principal….

Justice Bellew said the teenager had held an “extremist and radical ideology which advocated violence”.
Good observation.
Now just what ideology could that be?
Could it be the one that most judges assume (erroneously) is benign?
The one that has a book judges assume (erroneously) is peaceful?
Perhaps some kind person could send Justice Bellew a copy of “Reliance of the Traveller”, the Manual of Islamic Law.

I wish the UK government was prepared to deal with terrorists and potential terrorists as severely as the Australian government. Here, he would have had a slap on the wrist and no more. In fact I would expect a protest outside the courtroom shouting about “Islamophobia”.

This disgusting piece of human garbage should have its Aus PP cancelled and sent off on the next cargo ship to Arabia. This barbaric PIECE of S does not deserve even one second of life in Aus,

Deported in a cargo ship, a bit too upmarket for my liking. How about a barbed-wire canoe and no paddle.

What are Moslems doing in Australia to start with? Beggars belief.
MSM: mental illness, suffering from racism, denied a place on the Aussie rules football team, hampered by misunderstanding, distorted by the far-right racists who oppose Muhammadism.
Nothing to do with Islam.
Allahu Akhbar simply means I love you and want to hug you….it is not a war cry. Cue Karen Armstrong.

And, of course, he’s going to be a model Australian when he comes out in 2034. In the meantime, hardworking, tax-paying Australians will keep him fed and clothed with a roof over his head, while he, for his part, gets on with the job of raising a jihad army in prison.
What, exactly, does it take, Australia? He, and so many like him, have made it explicitly and abundantly clear that they do not recognise Australian law. Is sedition not a crime in Australia? Does Australian law not apply on every inch of Australia? And now you’ve given him sixteen years and a mass of ready recruits from which to raise an army against you, while you house him and feed him for his troubles. Pure genius.

Good point, Anjuli. This Jihadist is not apt to become more civilized in prison, which are full of violent Muslims. He should be deported after he has served his sentence.

Australia is having the same totally negative experience with Muslim migration as every country in the world. On and on these cases go. When will all the non-Muslim nations of the world wake up and end Muslim migration? This what I keep asking myself. I can’t see the positive that some people still seem to insist on seeing in Muslim migration. I think it is a negative in every country and needs to be ended. I ordered a cope of Robert Spencer’s “History of Jihad” from a bookshop out here in Australia yesterday. I was pretty sure that it would be a waste of time asking my local library to get a copy of Robert’s book. I’m certain they would consider it too Islamophobic to put on their shelves. Can’t let the truth that Robert tells about Islam get out there to the general public.

Good post, Tim.

You should ask your library, you don’t know what they would say.
One of my libraries has several books by Robert Spencer.

Australia: Muslim teen buys knives, plots jihad massacre, screams “you will be slaughtered at the hands of Allah”
……………..
Yes–who taught him? Is anyone looking into his family, friends, and Mosque? Likely not…
Leon Degney says
Who taught him you ask. Maybe he has received Islamic instruction from Muslim sympathiser Ye Olde Pappa Frank the Ratbag.
