Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

In Christmas speech, Pope Francis criticizes nationalism, touts cultural differences as “source of richness”

Dec 26, 2018 9:45 am By Robert Spencer

Yet again, Pope Francis tries to guilt-trip Catholics into fearing to oppose mass Muslim migration into Europe. He has repeatedly branded those who oppose mass Muslim migration into Europe as un-Christian. He seems to be completely unconcerned about facts such as the following: all of the jihadis who murdered 130 people in Paris in November 2015 had just entered Europe as refugees. In February 2015, the Islamic State boasted it would soon flood Europe with as many as 500,000 refugees. The Lebanese Education Minister said in September 2015 that there were 20,000 jihadis among the refugees in camps in his country. On May 10, 2016, Patrick Calvar, the head of France’s DGSI internal intelligence agency, said that the Islamic State was using migrant routes through the Balkans to get jihadis into Europe.

And in the U.S., Somali Muslim migrant Mohammad Barry in February 2016 stabbed multiple patrons at a restaurant owned by an Israeli Arab Christian; Ahmad Khan Rahami, an Afghan Muslim migrant, in September 2016 set off bombs in New York City and New Jersey; Arcan Cetin, a Turkish Muslim migrant, in September 2016 murdered five people in a mall in Burlington, Washington; Dahir Adan, another Somali Muslim migrant, in October 2016 stabbed mall shoppers in St. Cloud while screaming “Allahu akbar”; and Abdul Razak Artan, yet another Somali Muslim migrant, in November 2016 injured nine people with car and knife attacks at Ohio State University. 72 jihad terrorists have come to the U.S. from the countries listed in Trump’s initial immigration ban.

Pope Francis has never expressed any concern about any of this. Of course, he has claimed risibly that “authentic Islam and the proper reading of the Koran are opposed to every form of violence.” This has become a superdogma in the Catholic Church: if you don’t believe that Islam is a Religion of Peace, you will be ruthlessly harassed and silenced by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) and the hierarchy elsewhere as well. The bishops of the Catholic Church are much more concerned that you believe that Islam is a religion of peace than that you believe in, say, the Nicene Creed. And so what possible reason could there be to be concerned about these “refugees”? It’s a religion of peace!

The U.S. Catholic bishops, of course, have 91 million reasons — indeed, 534 million reasons — to turn against the truth and disregard the safety and security of the American people: “In the Fiscal Year 2016, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) received more than $91 million in government funding for refugee resettlement. Over the past nine years, the USCCB has received a total of $534,788,660 in taxpayer dollars for refugee resettlement programs.”

“Leave them; they are blind guides. And if a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” (Matthew 15:14)

“Pope Francis criticises nationalism and suggests people should embrace diversity,” Voice of Europe, December 25, 2018:

In his traditional Christmas speech, Pope Francis criticised nationalism and called cultural differences a “source of richness”.

Speaking about increasing nationalism in the Western world as a result of migration from North Africa and the Middle East the spiritual leader said:

“Our differences are not a detriment or a danger; they are a source of richness. As when an artist is about to make a mosaic: it is better to have tiles of many colours available, rather than just a few,” the Pope told a large audience in the Vatican.

“The experience of families teaches us this,” he said, “as brothers and sisters, we are all different from each other. We do not always agree, but there is an unbreakable bond uniting us, and the love of our parents helps us to love one another,” he added….

The Pope is from the Jesuit order. The most liberal order of the Catholic Church. I’ll be more sympathetic to his cause if the Vatican were to dismiss the Papal Guards, take down the Vatican walls and let the invaders in..Till then they are just hollow words from a dispassionate leader. As Jesus said–“Walk in my shoes.”

The Pope rejected a desperate Christian refugee Asia Bibi as none of his business, and yet admonishes ordinary people to welcome all Moslem “refugees” (sorry, migrants.)

The hypocrisy is outrageous. Makes you sick.

The pope advertises the fact that he is an idiot every time he opens his mouth and as far as I know has done little to protect his followers from the evils of Islamisation except had some nice chats with some Muslim clerics, who have no power to do anything and probably laugh at his naivety
I was just reading how in 846 AD the jihadis invaded Italy and plundered Saint Peters and Saint Paul Outside the Walls, taking as much gold and silver as they could carry including a whole silver altar. I suppose if that were to happen today the Pope would be there helping them and saying “please my Muslim brothers take what you wish I am sure you will use to help the poor”
      What an ass

Taking in Moslem “refugees” is big business, a lot of government money to be had . The Catholic Church and many Protestant Churches have hop into the Moslem refugee taken in business with both feet, with the help of government leaders happy to appease Moslem leaders abroad. The people running this game live in gated communities, their kids go to special private schools ,they have little concern for the average citizen .As the current Pope sits behind his thick wall castle guarded 24/7 by people whose paycheck come from donations received by Roman Catholic members of the church . He has the nerve to say to these people you must put up with robbery , rape , thievery , the destruction of Christian churches in Moslem land , Jihad here in Europe , America and Asia because these people are “refugees” they do not have to follow government man made laws or evens Gods laws. Being a :”refugee” is an excuse not to follow any rules , laws, or be held to any accountable for any violent behavior .Just give my church your dollars , pounds , Euros, ect. to take these members of the cult of death (Islam) into the homes of my flock.

5 And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth.

6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

“In his traditional Christmas speech,” etc. –from the article above

There is very little of the traditional about Pope Francis.

Traditionally, the popes protected and promoted Christian Doctrine. Traditionally, popes spoke clearly and unambiguously on matters of faith and morals. Traditionally, there was only one recognized claimant to the Chair of Peter at a time; no popes emeriti were ever part of tradition until Pope Benedict took this title instead of fully laying aside all papal dignities and styles and resuming his former rank.

Would only that there was a traditional pope to give a traditional Christmas lesson..

A belated Merry Christmas to Men of Goodwill.

    Dec 26, 2018 at 10:08 am

In this Christmas Season let us remember the beautiful words and poignant caution spoken by then-President Obama at the United Nations in 2015.

“The increasing skepticism of our international order can also be found in the most advanced democracies,” admonished President Obama with deep insight. “We see greater polarization, more frequent gridlock; movements on the far right, and sometimes the left, that insist on stopping the trade that binds our fates to other nations, calling for the building of walls to keep out immigrants. Most ominously, we see the fears of ordinary people being exploited through appeals to sectarianism, or tribalism, or racism, or anti-Semitism; appeals to a glorious past before the body politic was infected by those who look different, or worship God differently; a politics of us versus them.”

In his Christmas message the Pope reinforces these warnings to invoke the potential richness of a post-Christian world without borders — imbued with the spiritual generosity of nations without nationalism.

This Pope reinforces the potential richness of a post-Christian world? Seems to me there are many parts of this world that remain pre-Christian. If the Pope is now working towards making Christianity a thing of the past he is betraying Christ. The priority of a Pope should be making the world Christian so that Christianity may be the instrument by which the world changes. When you talk about a “post-Christian” world imbued with the spiritual generosity of nations without nationalism you are talking about a world without Christians, aren’t you?

      • RonaldB says

        Dec 26, 2018 at 1:54 pm

        Hello Wellington,

I think it’s a mistake to make the implicit assumption that destroyers such as Obama or Pope Francis are acting as they do from a lack of insight, that if only their thinking were a bit deeper, they would see the inherent problems and destructiveness of the roads they are advocating.

Similarly, a lot of people think that Muslims are brainwashed to the extent they can’t really see what’s best for their lives.

In fact, leftists like Obama and sophisticated Muslims like, say, Abdurrahman Alamoudi, a Bush adviser after 9/11 who was a major influence in Bush’s “Islam is peace” statement. Muslim Brotherhood infiltrators like Alamoudi understand and game the American system very well. They understand it; they simply choose Islam. On a related topic, many people make the mistake of assuming that because women are systematically marginalized in Islam, that Muslimas are a natural ally in the fight against Islam. Nothing could be further from the truth. Muslimas are not to be trusted; they are as committed and treacherous as Muslim males.

As far as Pope Francis and other communists, their commitment to destroying the existing social order does not stem from a misunderstanding of the consequences of their actions. As good cultural Marxists, or even as classical Marxists, their first priority is the destruction of the existing social order. The impoverishment, starvation, or killing of populations is not a factor in their thinking. How many leftists have you heard say “Wow! Look at the mass poverty caused by socialism in Venezuela, a formerly prosperous country. Perhaps we ought to rethink our basic assumptions.”?

        • Wellington says

          Dec 26, 2018 at 7:32 pm

I gather your point, RolandB, but it still does not stop me from looking upon people like Obama and the current Pope as superficial thinkers. No way you can say they are profound in their thought, just “merely” mistaken. Bad ideas and superficiality are a natural together ordinarily. Quite true I would argue in Obama’s case and Francis’ too.

“In his Christmas message the Pope reinforces these warnings to invoke the potential richness of a post-Christian world without borders — imbued with the spiritual generosity of nations without nationalism.”

In a world without borders, non-whites and non-Christians will stream into white, Christian countries due to their high standard of living. These new arrivals will change their new countries by introducing or exacerbating racial and ethnic conflict, and will indeed push Christianity aside as a shared public morality. The final result is that white, Christian countries will be destroyed; they will either be torn apart by ethnic and religious strife, or they will be forced to adopt an ever-expanding code of secularism and “celebration of diversity” which will ultimately fall to more aggressive, self-confident and coherent cultures (Islam, for example).

I do not believe that this represents “potential richness” but a tragic loss not only for the heirs of Western Civilization but for humanity as a whole.

Moshe, there would be much more richness in a post-Islamic world. Muslims would be free to discover and do things they haven’t been able to do. There may have been some great Saudi portrait painter that never was because it wasn’t allowed. There would be no excuse for continuing slavery. Muslims would be free of the dualism of the Qur’an and trying to pretend (or lie) about what it says because many are embarrassed about some of it or they silently don’t agree. Muslims would be free from fear, and that relaxes the mind to enrich their own lives and thus those around them.

Sorry, but I see Islam as a ball and chain tied to Muslims’ ankles. The Pope is a globalist communist and the Catholic Church is full of pedophiles and child molestors. He talks about all this yet priests still can’t marry unlike the Greek Orthodox Church and other Christian sects. He should be dismissed.

Obama turned out to be just another puppet of global elite cabal. He got some good sightseeing in and loads of money, though. Even if he disagrees with or knows much of his blather was wrong, he’s a bit stuck. Obama has betrayed black Americans yet they don’t appear to know how or why.

With diversity of thought, from the pope’s never-ending nonsense…on his course to see islam take over the world and destroy mankind…there is “danger” as moslims use any and all means to reach their goal.

If people were only sharing their dance, language, food, art, customs of clothing, etc, as has been done by many peoples before, there might be a “richness.” Travel shows frequently feature the foods, industry, customs, art , etc and there are many things one can learn and appreciate from other “cultures.”

However, advancing an evil belief, filthy practices, perverted customs and codes of conduct, foods that feature the torture of animals, through actively forcing by means of intimidation and violence is not “richness.” It is destructive. It is poverty of thought and action. It is death.

Divergence and diversity have the same root idea. Going a different way. The problem comes when people choose and follow…and attempt to force everyone else to follow…the way of satan the devil.

A country can be multiethnic – with added richness regarding clothing, cuisine, dance, art, language, etc. – but should totally respect the one overriding and predominant culture of the host country, i.e., a melting pot.

        Dec 26, 2018 at 1:34 pm

        That is true..

In my family “tree,” there were French, Irish, German, Scots, and Native American. Each of these brought something to the family…foods, customs, thinking, Biblical understanding, religious ideas, etc. All of them were able to blend and add to the others. Each gave a little. Some ideas and practices were discarded along the way…and some of that discarding was a good thing.

if there had ever come a moslim male into our family, it would have changed everything. moslims don’t want to blend and get along. They insist on taking over, forcing their customs and doing away with everything else, esp the good things.

I am so thankful that there were not then, and not now, any moslims from any nation in my family tree.

Different colors are good and important. it isn’t the difference in color that is the problem. It’s the knife up the sleeve of the one coming in, that is the problem.

I agree with your comment, WPM. As you so rightly say, Islam has “a 1400 year long record of destroying anything not Islamic or Islamic enough” so , to my mind, it is completely insane the way this Pope (and many others) says, let Muslims in, let them all in. And, as you point out, it really is asking people to have everything stolen from them by the invading Muslim hordes because that is always what Muslims have done. Also, Islam is indeed the enemy of our culture, music, art, etc. Islam is opposite of our whole way of life and is an enemy of our civilisation. This Pope, and all the other idiots like him, are such a danger to us all.

When pope Francis said that cultural differences are a “source of richness” That statement of the pope is the outcome of the new but the worthless and unrealistic philosophies which are called “Multiculturalism” and “Cultural Relativity.”

Which are the concept that all culture are equal because this C.R concept teaches the foolishness that all values derive their meaning within the specific social content. This folly of thinking leads, or misleads, many people to view every position as only “opinion” and that truth is only relevant to the person or society holding that view. In other words, discovering actual truth in impossible.
Theses philosophies of multiculturalism and cultural relativity are absurd, nonsensical and contradictory. For example, to say “finding the truth is impossible “Is a statement of contradiction. For in making that statement that is saying, in essence, “I have found the truth which is finding the truth is not possible.” It should be obvious that this “War of Ideas” needs to and should have a solidly based in and on truth and not by a worthless “war of opinions” A person who embraces multiculturalism and cultural relativity would say about a scholarly truth teller about Islam with its different kinds of jihad , as Pamela Geller, that she is only giving her “opinion” on the subject.

Such ignorance is appalling. Just look at history. If Americans had that MC and C.R. view ,as many Americans do today , then during World war II it would had been madness and a fools fight to go into battle against the military forces of Nazism if it was only just “opinion” that Hitler was wrong and evil. Likewise in this twenty-first century it would be nonsense, for example, for the US troops to fight and maybe even die in Afghanistan if it’s just “opinion” that the Taliban and Al Qaeda are wrong and evil.
Two other examples of the falseness of MC and C.R. with its teaching that everything is only “opinion.” First is in the elate 1970’s two guys said “There are so many different religions that no one can ever know the truth about religion.” They were really saying that statement so dogmatically that they were self-contradicting. For they were saying that they know the truth about religion that is not one can know the truth about religion. Second, a shallow man in the 1980’s said when asked the question “Why do you always small talk ? You don’t ever talk about a topic that might have some value, as politics? After all , all thing are related “ That shallow C.R man replied “There are so many different political ideas that finding the true one is unattainable and all thing are not related.” The wisdom-less man was saying that he obtained the truth which is the he can’t obtain the truth and who does can is really truthfully say that all thing are not related in he can’t find the truth. How foolish, an obvious contradiction. What is needed to counter this nonsense C.R./P.C. is the concept of “Absolutism.” Which a definition of this, with the scope of the topic, is “An absolute standard or principle .” In this “war of idea’s it’s the Bible with its absolute standards and principles to stand firm against Islam is its different types of jihad with its many evils.

In conclusion, in this War of Ideas a firm foundation for truth may be found in the Bible and not the weak folly multiculturalism and cultural relativity in which everything is “opinion.”

Pope Francis which his PC ideas are outstandingly error filled ,nonsensical and outright wrong .

Maybe, as many people here at Jihad Watch say, this Pope is a Marxist, globalist type of person, not a believing Christian at all. I just see him as Christian who knows bugger all about Islam. Robert Spencer is a Christian who knows a hell of a lot about Islam. Thus, I’ll take my information about Islam from Robert Spencer. I’ll ignore the Pope whenever he talks about Muslims or Islam because, on that subject, he is a complete dope. Also, in Christianity, suicide is frowned on and I believe this Pope is telling Christians to commit suicide as a group by letting the enemy of Christianity, namely Islam, into Christian nations. The hate filled, murderous Muslims will pose a huge threat to Christianity, which the Pope is meant to defend. It’s the central part of his job or vocation or whatever you want to call it. The Christian nations Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia know what the right approach to murderous islam is. Keep Muslims out is their answer. Any other policy seems suicidal to me.

Now Nelson Mandella is gone and the ruling blacks seem to be following tribalist values and not multi-cultural unity ones. Now the country is divided and wracked by strife, poverty, crime. Blacks are torturing and killing white farmers who produce their food. If the farms are confiscated and redistributed to blacks, there could be hunger, as in former Rhodesia. The problem with diversity is that it has to be held together by shared values and mutual commitments. But in the world of Islam there is no commitment to diversity, except when it benefits Muslims, and Christian culture and values are rejected. The commitment to multi-culturalism and diversity in Western countries is one-sided. The Christians may feel this ethical motivation but that does not guarantee a reciprocal response. If the Muslims do not share it, then it is a matter of whether they can take power and abolish diversity and impose islamic uniformity. They have done that historically in many other cultures. What the Pope preaches might make sense if it were a matter of a tiny handful of migrants, but not when there is a massive population transfer. And the commitment of Christians to defend their values is weak. We now rely on the state to provide charity and educate residents of Western countries, but the state has often come under the influence of Islamic apologists and adherents. Thus the Pope is calling for the destruction of the Christian world and not for the fulfillment of Christian values through charity. He cannot see that because of liberation theology and Marxist political ideology widespread in South America, which formed his worldview as much as traditional Catholic teachings.

Frankie seems to be sticking up for all the wrong people. Don’t forget that he let the Chinese Communist party take over the Catholic church in China instead of adhering to the Orthodox Catholic Cardinal of China, the true Catholic church, He’s kissed and washed the feet of Muslims and transgenders, he’s kissed the ‘hammer & sickle with the cross on it in Honduras and the list goes on and on….. this guy is not on the ‘side of Truth’ but is in grave error and is leading many Catholic’s who don’t know their faith, down the wide and populated road that leads to Perdition…..
