Sincerely,
The link Twitter sent me goes to my tweet in question (inserted above) — which is an advertisement for my new book, Jihadist Psychopath.
Pakistan is warning me that I am violating sections 295B and 295C of its penal code. Section 295B criminalizes “defiling the Holy Quran,” and carries a penalty of life imprisonment. 295C mandates that those who “by words, either spoken or written, or by visible representation, or by any imputation innuendo, or insinuation, directly, defiles the sacred name of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) shall be punished with death, or imprisonment for life and shall also be liable for fine.”
So we are looking at the punishment of death, imprisonment and/or a fine — and all not necessarily in that order.
This whole issue begs a question: What is it about the title “Jihadist Psychopath” that Pakistani authorities have a problem with exactly? Are they conceding that Muhammad was a Jihadist? Are they suggesting that they view their prophet as a psychopath? Or both?
Robert Spencer has posted a blog about this development regarding me and Pakistan/Twitter – and he reveals that I am far from alone in this curious and disturbing development. Make sure to read Robert’s blog HERE.
Robert’s blog documents how Twitter, along with other leading social media venues, is now fully onboard with enforcing Sharia compliance. Indeed, Twitter is now actually informing American citizens of the dire punishments they will receive, including death, for violating Islamic blasphemy laws. And in so doing, Twitter is making it clear that it supports Islamic blasphemy laws and the punishments for them.
Will Twitter soon also be assigning its employees to carry out these punishments?
A harrowing and Kafkaesque world we are entering, indeed.

Well, Whoopti-do! That’s like telling a priest his sermon offended Satan.

Twitter is more than willing to help a repressive dictatorship suppress the rights of innocent people. Same with Google, Facebook and all the other social media traps.

I totally agree 100%

Imran! Pakistan has a *boundary*. Keep your balls *within* it!

Another reason not to use Twitter. What if we all left twitter and Facebook? They go out of business.

Ayatollah Khomeini committed the outrage of ordering Muslims all over the world to murder a citizen of another country. It backfired badly on Muslims by showing to all what savages they really are. Now, with more control over international organs and a cowered Western media, academia and political class, both Tayyip Erdogan and Imran Khan are having another go at using Muslims to threaten the citizens of other countries for violating laws that have no writ anywhere but within their own national boundaries. I understand this as part and parcel of Islam’s non-recognition of national jurisdictions, especially advanced through the OIC, the UN, the EU and its latest move, the so-called “Global Migration Compact” to expedite global jihad. Valentine’s day next year will be the fortieth anniversary of Khomeini’s gambit. I expect to see a real push, especially if, after the lukeward response to their migration plans, countries that were foolish enough to sign begin to withdraw in numbers. It was interesting to see who, exactly, blew a fuse at countries that said “no thank you” to what was supposedly a non-binding document. I see Twitter trying to force citizens of other countries to recognise Pakistani laws — *Pakistan* FFS! — as a continuation of what Ayatollah Khomeini had tried.

Pakistan can’t even support itself. Until recently it was getting money from the USA. The UK is still forking over money to it. Money is likely pouring into it from places like Canada. It’s a s***hole country. I’m not quite sure that we should be shaking in our boots over what Pakistan thinks of any of us.
lisalles says
Twitter should not be in countries that are incompatible with American laws. Twitter should be boycotted by every American INCLUDING muslim Americans. And all advertisers on Twitter should be boycotted. How do we organize this? Leave Twitter to Pakistan.
I AM THE INFIDEL YOUR IMAM WARNED YOU ABOUT says
Screw Twitter, Face Book, Google and all those muslim ass licking lefties…. they are all a bunch of TWITS.
Infidel Task Force says
But..but… we are in the US?? Where is the Freedom of speech?? The book is not on sale in Pakistan!!
DHazard says
What if you accidentally wrote PHLUB after Muhammad’s name instead of PBUH? What if you kept on doing it after a warning that you violated a law that languishes in malevolence?

Insanity. Pure and simple.
However I don’t recommend you (JG) travel to Pakistan any time soon.

Jamie Glazov: Twitter Warns Me My New Book Violates Pakistan’s Blasphemy Law
…………….
*Of course* saying anything critical about violent Jihad violates Pakistani Shari’ah law.
And we should care–why, exactly?
Jack Holan says
It was always a mistake toFiancially support this 10th rate Country. I’m sure the main reasons in the recent past was fr the hunt of Bin Laden, the near Atomic war with India, and the belief they will help us capture the Taliban. All these misguided assumptions. We’re wrong. WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET!TAKE THEIR AID AND REDIRECT IT TO INDIAAND AGREE WITH INDIA ONkashmir

Toronto Sun columnist Anthony Furey has also been warned by Twiter about having violated this Pakistan anti-blasphemy law.

Does Twitter inform Muslims around the world that Sharia Law offends againt the US Bill Of Rights? Isn’t Twitter a US corporation? US corporations are given special legal protections and privileges under US law. They should be mandated to uphold the Bill Of Rights…

If the current US National Security Adviser Bolton has no problem with the title of the book then tell Twitter that they should inform Mr Bolton of the “complaint”. I eagerly await Mr Bolton’s answer to Twitter.
Tanya says
“Pakistani” law…must remain just that….confined to Pakistan…the rest of us have no obligation to comply to foreign laws and demands. Canadians and Americans better commit in 2019 to Unite and ban all manifestations of Islam in our respective countries. There are 57 Islamic majority countries…and we have no intention of becoming #58 and #59. If Pakistan doesn’t like it, why don’t they just block your feed and move on.
