This murder is a result of the cultural of violence that sanctifies the brutalization of women. The Qur’an teaches that men are superior to women and should beat those from whom they “fear disobedience”: “Men have authority over women because Allah has made the one superior to the other, and because they spend their wealth to maintain them. Good women are obedient. They guard their unseen parts because Allah has guarded them. As for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them and send them to beds apart and beat them.” — Qur’an 4:34

He was totally confused, was constantly talking about Islam, wanted to convert all ‘unbelievers’, says the shocked neighbor to the Krone after the terrible bloodletting near Amstetten on Tuesday. Before the eyes of their children (aged one, three, nine and 19 years), Senol D. (37) is said to have stabbed his wife, the convert to Islam Aurelia S.
The Turkish-born man is said to have grabbed a kitchen knife on Tuesday afternoon and stabbed his wife. An attempt to escape by the mother of four ended at the front door: there, the raging man tried to stab her a third time, but missed.
A neighbor even kept her own list of when and how often the convert to Islam was molested by the alleged perpetrator.
Police spokesman: “The interrogations continue”
The oldest son dialed the emergency number, but the doctors lost the fight for the wife’s life in the hospital, while Cobra Special Police Unit officers stormed the apartment where the alleged perpetrator had barricaded himself. The motive can currently only be a matter of speculation: “The interrogations continue, the children are being cared for by a crisis team,” said police spokesman Johann Baumschlager.
The fact is that Senol D. did not like the fact that his wife suddenly left the house without a burka, and over and over again, according to insiders, he drifted around playgrounds, Christmas markets, and neighbors, talking about Islam, infidels and “evil”. “Very pushy trying to convert”
And in the neighborhood, the 37-year-old was all too well known. Again and again he tried in a “very pushy way” to convert people to Islam, as neighbors recount. In some cases he rang daily at doors and sought conversation. Some people had already developed “fear of him”, neighbors go on to say. Complaints or reports — for example, to the police — have been made, it is further reported, but since the man in his attempts to convert, however, never appeared aggressive, the authorities had their hands tied.
