This is likely the work of Leftists who believe that any opposition to mass Muslim migration into Europe is “bigoted” and “racist” and “Islamophobic.” This incendiary rhetoric was inevitably going to boil over into violence. As the Left grows increasingly thuggish and intolerant of dissent, this is the result. Note the way the establishment media covers the story: Magnitz is characterized as “far-right” in every publication, which is a semaphore meaning “Don’t have sympathy for him or endorse his cause.” And Cem Özdemir of the Green party can’t even refrain on this occasion from defaming the Alternative for Germany (AfD), Magnitz’s party: “Even towards the AfD there is no justification for violence. Whoever fights hatred with hatred ultimately allows hatred to win.”
He, and the establishment media organs reporting on this, takes for granted that it is “hatred” to oppose mass Muslim migration, despite the fact that jihadis have entered Europe among the “refugees,” and that Sharia supremacists are causing strife all over Europe. The implication is just the opposite of his stated words: there is a sly suggestion that violence against people such as the “far-right,” “hateful” Magnitz is indeed justified. That’s the lesson that the establishment media wants you to take away from this episode.
“Far-right politician beaten within an inch of his life in Germany,” Associated Press, January 8, 2019:
BERLIN — A local leader of the far-right Alternative for Germany was attacked and seriously wounded by several men in the northwestern city of Bremen, an assault that drew condemnation Tuesday from some of the party’s fiercest opponents.
Bremen police said they believe the attack on Frank Magnitz, a lawmaker in Germany’s national parliament who leads the party’s local branch, was politically motivated….
Magnitz was beaten over the head with an unidentified object by at least three men wearing dark clothing and hoods or hats, who then fled, police said. Two workers who were loading a car nearby found him lying on the ground and called an ambulance. The 66-year-old was hospitalized.
The party, known by its German acronym AfD, said earlier Tuesday that Magnitz was ambushed after he left a local newspaper’s new year’s reception, beaten unconscious with a piece of wood and then kicked in the head as he lay on the ground….
Foreign Minister Heiko Maas, a center-left politician who has been a strong critic of AfD, tweeted that “violence must never be a means of political confrontation — no matter against whom or what the motives are.”
“There is no justification for this,” he said, calling for those responsible to be punished.
That was echoed by other politicians from established parties, including prominent Green party politician Cem Ozdemir, who said that AfD must be countered by legal means, not violence. “Anyone who fights hatred with hatred always lets hatred win in the end,” he wrote on Twitter….
“The cowardly and life-threatening attack against Frank Magnitz is the result of constant agitation against us by politicians and media,” party co-leaders Alexander Gauland and Joerg Meuthen said in a statement….
“German far-right MP injured in ‘politically motivated’ attack,” by Kate Connolly, Guardian, January 8, 2019:
A leading politician from Germany’s far-right Alternative für Deutschland party has been seriously injured by masked assailants who beat him unconscious on a street in Bremen in what police have described as a politically motivated attack.
Frank Magnitz, 66, leader of the AfD in the northern German city, was almost beaten to death, according to the party’s federal chairman, Jörg Meuthen, who tweeted a graphic photograph of the unconscious MP with what appeared to be a deep gash to the head.
Alexander Gauland, an AfD co-leader, condemned the attack which took place on Monday evening, as a “cowardly bloody deed”. Alice Weidel, the party’s leader in the German parliament, blamed the media and politicians from the traditional parties for stoking hatred towards the AfD “on a daily basis”.
Police are looking for three people suspected of having carried out the attack and have appealed for witnesses. They said they had little doubt the attack was politically motivated….
The German foreign minister, Heiko Maas, of the Social Democrats, twet: “Violence should never be a means for political disputes – totally regardless against whom or what the motives for it are. Whoever carries out such a crime has to be punished accordingly.”
Cem Özdemir of the Green party tweeted that he hoped the perpetrators would soon be caught and tried. “Even towards the AfD there is no justification for violence,” he wrote. “Whoever fights hatred with hatred ultimately allows hatred to win.”
According to police, Magnitz was on his way home from a new year’s reception at a regional newspaper when he was attacked. He was reportedly knocked to the ground and beaten unconscious with what is believed to have been a wooden object, before being kicked in the head….
Faced with accusations of racism, he responded last September by saying his wife was of Turkish origin and his researcher a German-Cuban, and that he was open-minded. “In my world, being cosmopolitain does not preclude a love of one’s homeland and patriotism,” he wrote.
Magnitz has said he was a former voter of Angela Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union who turned to the AfD after rejecting her views on immigration.
He has always been a vocal critic of the euro, opposition on which the AfD was first founded in 2013 before it revamped itself as an anti-immigration party that pledged to shake up Germany’s consensus system of government.
“Frank Magnitz: Far-right AfD politician badly beaten up in ‘politically-motivated attack’ in Germany,” by Peter Stubley, Independent, January 8, 2019:
A far-right German MP was left seriously injured in hospital after being beaten unconscious in a “politically motivated attack”.
Frank Magnitz, state chairman for the AfD (Alternative fur Deutchland) party, was ambushed as he left a New Year’s reception in the centre of Bremen on Monday evening.
His party issued a graphic photograph of his head injuries and released a statement describing the incident as an “assassination attempt” and “a black day for democracy in Germany.”
The AfD described how Mr Magnitz, 66, was attacked by three masked men armed with a piece of wood before kicking his head as he lay on the ground in front of the Theater am Goetheplatz….
Foreign minister Heiko Maas, a centre-left politician who has been a strong critic of AfD, tweeted that “violence must never be a means of political confrontation – no matter against whom or what the motives are.
“There is no justification whatsoever for this. Anyone who commits such a crime must be punished consistently.”
Green Party MP Cem Ozdemir said ”those who fight hatred with hatred always win the hatred in the end” while Johannes Kahrs, an MP for the centre-left Social Democratic Party, wished Mr Magnitz a quick recovery and said: “Violence does not work against anybody. Extremism of every kind is crap.”
The anti-immigration AfD became the third-largest party in the German parliament in 2017, with 12.6 per cent of the vote. It claims its members have been increasingly targeted by left-wing “antifa“ in recent months.
Tensions between far-right supporters and their rivals have increased since a 35 year-old German-Cuban man was stabbed to death in Chemnitz, a city in the eastern state of Saxony, in August last year.
Michael Copeland says
Small correction: Magnitz’s party is not Alliance for Germany, but Alternative for Germany.
The man was attacked and badly wounded. The press phrase “beaten” is inadequate.
Sun says
Little remark: The party platform of AfD is similiar to Merkel’s party platform in 2005.
Mr. Magnitz’s is a father of six children, his wife of 20 years is Turkish, one of his staff members is German Cuban descent. He said that his love of his homeland and his patriotism do not exclude cosmopolitanism. Like many party members of the AfD, Mr. Magnitz is highly educated.
Still, the Left Party and the majority of the old parties call him a racist. They badly fear a loss of voters and publicly call for actions against the AfD – violence not excluded.
Roger Woodhouse says
While the MSM continue to stigmatise leaders of the ADF as ‘far right’such acts are likely to continue. This of course is what the MSM want to happen. The same principle applies here in Britain where left wing leaders are free to make wild accusations and falsehoods against anyone with right wing sentiments the same cannot be done from the ‘right’ toward leftwingers.Things are changing though as the general public are at last waking up despite the continual brainwashing from the likes of the BBC and other media outlets.Stay strong Germany.!May this man make a complete recovery and the scum who did this serve long sentences before being deported.

Exactly. Let the police prove that his injuries were caused by simply falling down. Release the CCTV footage.

German globalist Leftards believe in the EXTINCTION OF the GERMAN CULTURE and PEOPLE as if that will solve all the problems in Europe or the world.
The end of Germany will not help the Third World one bit, but merely increase the number of basket case countries. How will Germany continue it’s dynamic, productive, creative culture without cultural Germans? It will not happen.
This NEGATIVE UTOPIA of the FINAL SOLUTION OF THE GERMAN QUESTION is an absurd NIGHTMARE of nonsense.
sturandot13 says
Careful, mortimer. You’re apt to be accused of being a “conspiracy-theorist” by some people here — which is one reason I don’t come here much any more.
mortimer says
In Germany, you can still tweet a photo of a man savagely beaten by white German Leftards, but it would be called ‘RACIST HATE SPEECH’ if you sent a photo of man beaten by MUSLIMS.
The insanity and MASS HYSTERIA of the German Leftards is HIGHLIGHTED by this THUGGERY.
The German Leftards seem to think: IT ISN’T FASCIST THUGGERY WHEN WE DO IT.
Frank Anderson says
Mortimer, I ask you to think a moment about a historical parallel: What would be the press coverage after January 30, 1933 if 1) a gang of SA beat a man in exactly the same fashion and extent as this man; and 2) if any resistance or opposition gang beat an SA in the same way? History seems to be repeating because it is not remembered.
eduardo odraude says
mortimer, we don’t know if leftists or German Muslims or others did this. Did the three attackers have a jihadist organization behind them, perhaps a foreign state? We know very little. But there’s a decent chance we’ll find out.
Patricia Fairbanks says
How do the authorities know they were not Muslims since they covered their faces? That is their MO after all.
mortimer says
It’s absurd and VICIOUS to accuse people who love their culture, country and own people and want to preserve them of HATRED.
By saying, ‘I LIKE GERMANY THE WAY IT IS’, no one is claiming to ‘HATE’ anyone or implying it. Some things are nice the way they are and SHOULD BE LEFT ALONE.
The Leftards believe in an UNSEEN UTOPIA in the future where NO NATIONALITIES EXIST … but how long would that last before new nationalities came into existence?
The accusation that German patriots are filled with hate is a MALICIOUS SLANDER.
THE BOTTOM LINE IS THIS: “MIGRATION WITHOUT ASSIMILATION IS INVASION.”

Kate Connolly from the “Guardian” as well as Peter Stubley from the “Independent” are equally stupid by calling the Alternative für Deutschland (Alternative for Germany) far right. If you are able to read their program it has a lot of the program of the “old” CDU before Merkel demolished the Party by ensuring everybody who did not sing her song was ousted. We are at 1933 when everyone not swimming with flow was silenced one way or another. Also remember when the left “activists” gave birth to the Red Army Fraction causing multiple deaths and terror. Most of us suspected that this would happen and those politicians and journalists crying foul were the instigators. I wish Frank Magnitz all the best and a speedy recovery and his Family lots of strength in these trying times. For my fellow countrymen and women I have one Thing to say: wake up and smell the coffee. He who sleeps in democracy will wake up in a dictaturship. “Those are called populists who will call a spade a spade and a cat a cat”. William Shakespeare
eduardo odraude says
Yes, by characterizing them in that way, they telegraph that when Alternative becomes a target of violence, people should not be too outraged or cause much of a kerfuffle, since after all Alternative is “far right” and basically the violence is only against Nazis or something similar. One of the commentators said that “even” Alternative should not be violently attacked. That use of “even” cut the thugs who did it a certain slack. I really hope many more Germans join Alternative now. That should be the reward to this thuggery. (I’m assuming this was not a false flag operation.) Whoever did this is mentally acclimated to deadly violence. Most likely these were jihadists, but we’ll have to see.
eduardo odraude says
A problem with posting that kind of violent image is that it will cause Jihad Watch to be censored to some extent.
eduardo odraude says
So now everyone in the Alternative party will need bodyguards? This may be how jihadists “vote” and unfortunately, their “vote” may have inordinate influence in the direction they desire. Or perhaps Germans will find new strength and courage from this near-martyrdom and do a better job of defending their own and Western culture. Will members of the Alternative party now be afraid to speak out strongly? I think that may be likely, unless the state pays for 24/7 protection. But then other politicians will also demand it.
Danke Merkel! (not)

Those violent and vicious Muslims who who maliciously attacked this German politician with hateful violence have strongly proven his point, by their own actions, about many Muslims migrants being dangerous and violent
Not only did those Muslims ,by their brutal and violent behavior prove is case to the valid and right about Muslim migrants but also Muslims who had been born in Germany may well be a possible threat the safety of the German citizens

Why assume they’re muslim? Muslim attackers wouldn’t be “hooded”, nor would a 2 x 4 be their weapon of choice, nor would the forehead be a favored target.

The Independent article has the AfD saying:
” The AfD described how Mr Magnitz, 66, was attacked by three masked men armed with a piece of wood before kicking his head as he lay on the ground in front of the Theater am Goetheplatz.
“It is thanks to the courageous intervention of a construction worker that the attackers could not complete their project and that Frank Magnitz escaped with his life,” the party added. ”He is now seriously injured in the hospital.”
The same article concludes with a police statement:
“The police said there were at least three attackers who were “dressed in dark clothing with hoods or caps”.
“They hit him with an unknown object against the head and fled towards Bleicherstraße. Two craftsmen nearby spotted the man lying on the ground and called an ambulance. The fire department then alerted the police. Several patrol cars searched for the suspects immediately.”
Hmmm…I wonder how or why the “courageous construction worker” managed to get written out of the script.

I read the account of the “near assassination “ of this German politician with horror and loathing. However it is being played down by the U.K. press. In some publications it appears on Page Five. That just shows how little import this momentous event in Germany has in the befuddled minds of the British elite and in the minds of their hounds ( the British mainstream media).
I remember the horrible murders of Dutch politician Pam Fortuyn in 2002 And Theo Van Gogh the Dutch cineaste and creative artist in 2004. Both these men were killed for daring to oppose immigration , islamisation of their European nation ,and multiculturalism. As a matter of fact Theo Van Gogh was slaughtered for daring to critically examine the ideology of Islam itself.
The nature of the attack on the AfD leader is striking by its lack of sophistication. It was a coordinated attack using a blunt instrument . It shows them up to be amateurs. The kick to the head is reminiscent of football hooligan assaults. It sounds as though a message is being sent out to all in Germany who oppose the loss of their culture, the steady and stealthy islamisation of their German society- “ speak up now and lose your life or forever hold your tongue!”. To that injunction might be added “ and also eviscerate your thinking ,reasoning process”.
I suspect it might be the work of Leftist automatons rather than jihadists. Had it been the latter they would have slaughtered him outright.
Cicero says
As a matter of fact this is the Left and the Islamist way of dealing with Indian leaders who speak for the Hindu community in India .
Especially in Marxist – ruled Kerala where so many Hindu activists have been brutally slaughtered just for the fact of generating self – awareness in Kerala Hindus and daring to speak up about Hindu interests in that state.
No one bats an eye lid . The craven Indian MSM even the ones with incongruous names like The Hindu and and The Hindustan Times. Report such terrible onslaught against Kerala’s Hindu leadership in perfunctory paragraphs hidden away on page fifteen and such like in their press.
By and large the Hindus keep on “ keeping on”.

It’s rather ironic, isn’t it? The victim argues that Islam’s intrinsic supremacism, totalitarianism, belligerence and intolerance create undesirable violence and belligerent behavior on the part of its followers. Then, Muslims beat him almost to death, thus proving his point.
Jackbooted, goose-stepping Muslims are incapable of settling grievances in a civilized manner, other than with violence.

In the same article are stated the following comments:
“A far-right German MP was left seriously injured…”
“Extremism of every kind is crap.”
Isn’t ‘far right’ an extreme? So in the same article they also are bashing his position.
This is what I’ve been saying. They will claim to be against all forms of extremists, but in reality they will be against conservatives only in the end. They want that ‘common ground’ thing, which will be the platform for the one world religion, among other things. Of course true Christians can’t be a part of it. We are extreme, and that’s a good thing. We are exclusive, and that’s also a good thing in this case. We are separate from all of ‘that,’ and that’s also necessary. Even discriminating can be good, if it’s against what is bad. But they have regutted these terms with new definitions creating new meanings. I have had some experiences in life that have been ‘extremely’ good. You can be extremely good at something. That is a good extreme. The term is neutral, like an adverb, it’s extremely good, or it’s extremely bad, etc. But now, thanks to their propaganda, the term ‘extreme’ is only packed with bad in the minds of most. This way no one will want to be associated with it. They will gravitate to the mellow middle ground. The second quote from the article above proves my point. And they do it with all the other terms I listed and others as well. I’m sure you can all come up with your own similar list.
Another thing related to all of this (and many recent comments of mine) is that I see more and more of these bumper stickers saying things like ‘one’ along with a planet earth, some psychodelic rainbow colors, etc. or the ‘coexist’ sticker and all kinds of things like that. This is the mindset leading to all of the things I’ve been warning about. Also we must keep in mind an important distinction. It is not the thing, but where its allegiance lies that is important. I often warn about the one world religion, government, and economy. That’s because in the end times they will be under the devil via the antichrist. Later, and only later after paradise is restored, will all three again be under the God of the Bible (including an economy of sharing, like in Acts 2). In that case the three are good. It just depends on a small detail… such as… who is in control! The same goes for many other things. I love the creation, I enjoy it all the time, I recycle, but I don’t worship it or anything like that. The list goes on. It is not the term or the concept but what it is all about that matters. There are so many things that are interconnected that I am aware of, like how many false religions do intersect in things like pantheism that are wrong. Speaking of interconnections, it all comes down to a ‘tale of two kingdoms,’ either you are in the Lord’s, or you are not. We are in the world, but not of the world, etc. Anyway, this is like that title ‘the game of thrones’ with a slightly bigger twist.
ItsReallyQuiteClear says
The quoted news articles presented no evidence other than the identify of the victim, and the non-illuminating reports of masked attackers. Yet, the police immediately stated that they believe the attack was politically motivated. When a Muslim screams allahu akbar, and additionally in some cases pledges their allegiance to the Islamic State, and attacks innocent bystanders with signature jihadist methods, the police are mystified as to any possible cause, except for being certain that it’s not terrorism.
Which seems to demonstrate that it’s easier to solve crimes when you know what the motive is. <— Think about that sentence, in all of its interpretations and implications, if you're so inclined.
